We report the effects of growth conditions on the superconducting properties of FeSe films epitaxially grown on LaAlO3 substrates by pulsed laser deposition (PLD). Customary materials characterization techniques [X-ray diffraction (XRD), in-situ X-ray photoelectron spectroscopy (XPS), in-situ ultra-violet photoelectron spectroscopy (UPS), and scanning electron microscopy (SEM)] revealed the films had a c-axis oriented tetragonal structure with lattice constants dependent on the growth temperature (varied from 100 to 600°C). The standard four-point probe method was used to measure the resistivity and superconducting transitions. Films grown at 400–550°C showed a clear superconducting onset but no zero resistance down to 2 K. The highest superconducting onset temperature (TconsetT_{\mathrm{c}}^{\mathrm{onset}}) of 8 K was observed in films grown at 500°C and the onset temperature was clearly correlated to the ratio of the lattice constants (c/a). As the thickness of the FeSe films increased from 27 nm to 480 nm, TconsetT_{\mathrm{c}}^{\mathrm{onset}} also increased as the strain in the system was relaxed.  相似文献

We have studied the influence of oxygen on the superconducting properties of thin films of lead, indium and tin deposited on glass or sapphire substrates. In addition, the morphological microstructure was investigated by scanning electron microscopy. The film thickness was 1.0 μm, and the partial pressure of O2 during the film deposition was raised up to 1×10−4 Torr. In all three materials the development of a granular structure and a strong increase in the residual electric resistivity was observed due to the O2-treatment. Whereas in the Pb films no change of the critical temperature was found, the In films deposited on glass substrates showed a slight increase ofT c due to the oxygen. The strongest increase ofT c (up to 8%) was observed in the O2-treated Sn films. These results are discussed in terms of the McMillan theory. From our measurements of the critical current densityj c we conclude that edge pinning is dominant in the undoped films. All three materials showed a strong increase ofj c due to the O2-treatment which must be interpreted in terms of bulk pinning.  相似文献

We report on the effect of external pressure on the superconducting transition temperature (Tc) of as‐grown and thermally treated single crystals of superconducting iron chalcogenide Rb0.85Fe1.9Se2. The superconducting transition temperature of 27.1 K at ambient pressure for the as‐grown sample was found to increase up to 33.2 K for the sample annealed for 3 h at 215 °C in vacuum. An increase of Tc up to 28.2 K was observed for the as‐grown sample at a pressure of 0.83 GPa. For all the studied crystals, annealed in the temperature range between 215 °C and 290 °C, the external pressure seems to decrease the superconducting transition temperature and a negative pressure coefficient of Tc was observed. We fabricated several superconducting MgB2 thick films on stainless steel (SS) substrates by using hybrid physical-chemical vapor deposition (HPCVD) technique. The thickness was in the 10μm to 20μm range, and the onset critical transition temperature T c (onset) and the width of the superconducting transition (ΔT) were about 37.8 and 1.2 K. They were dense and textured along (101) direction with high tenacity, despite the existence of a little amount of MgO and Mg. We bent the films at different degrees and studied the ductility and transport properties of these MgB2 thick films under applied force. The results demonstrated that the superconducting properties of these thick films, prepared by HPCVD, stay almost unaffected even with the films bent to a large degree with a curvature of 0.5 mm. This indicated that the superconducting wires or tapes of MgB2 with a core of SS had the advantages of avoiding rigidity and brittleness in industrial handling. We investigate the spin Hall magnetoresistance (SMR) in niobium (Nb) attached to Y3Fe5O12 near the superconducting critical temperature (Tc) of Nb. The SMR vanishes after cooling the sample below Tc, and recovers if the temperature is raised. When a magnetic field larger than the critical field of Nb is applied, the SMR re‐emerges with an enhanced magnitude even if the temperature is below Tc. The experimental results demonstrate that the SMR could be completely suppressed by the coupling between superconducting condensation and spin–orbit interaction in superconductors. In addition to the fundamental physics on the charge–spin interactions in superconductors, our work adds a different dimension to superconducting spintronics. (© 2015 WILEY‐VCH Verlag GmbH &Co. High-T c superconducting thin films of Bi–Sr–Ca–Cu oxides were prepared by laser-induced plasma deposition of high-T c superconducting Bi2Sr2Ca1Cu2Ox and Bi2Sr2Ca2Cu3Ox targets in vacuum and a short post-annealing in air at 875°C. Thin films (thickness <500 nm) with a critical temperatureT c -onset of 95 K can be prepared on silicon substrate material with a SrTiO3 interface layer. The thin films were completely superconducting between 80 and 90 K. The stoichiometry transfer of superconducting target material by laser-induced plasma deposition was investigated.  相似文献

Thin superconducting films of La1.8Sr0.2CuO4 have been prepared by magnetron sputter deposition and subsequent temperature treatment. The composition of the films has been determined by Rutherford backscattering and the structure by thin film X-ray diffraction. The onset of superconductivity was about 32 K and the midpoint near 28 K. Defect production in the films by He ion bombardment revealed a drasticT c reduction with a sensitivity similar to that observed in the Chevrel phases. Oxygen implantation and subsequent annealing led to an enhancement of theT c onset.  相似文献

Summary It is shown that the behaviour of the temperature dependence of the critical current in polycrystalline thin films of high-T c superconductors depends crucially on the assumption made concerning the nature of the intergranular material. The usual assumption of a superconductor-insulator-superconductor (=SIS) ?sandwich? between each grain leads to a crossover fromI c∼(1−T/T c) toI c∼(1−T/T c)3/2, for temperatures nearT c (whereI c is the critical current,T the absolute temperature, andT c the superconducting transition temperature). Instead, for a superconductor-normal metal-superconductor (=SNS) sandwich the dependenceI c∼(1−T/T c)2 is found for all temperatures. Consideration is given to the effect of self-magnetic field on the analysis. The comparison between expressions for continuous and granular systems is extended. Summary Epitaxial films of YBa2Cu3O7−x were depositedin situ on LaAlO3 substrates using single-target 90° off-axis sputtering. The films were characterized by magnetization measurements (M vs. T, H), applying the field parallel toc-axis. The observed differences in theT c andJ c values are attributed to the different oxygen content in the superconducting films. Al-films, evaporated at room temperature under different oxygen partial pressures, were irradiated with self-ions (500 keV, Al++) at low temperature (<7 K). The observed increase of the resistivity and of the superconducting transition temperatureT c depends strongly on the oxygen contentc 0 present in the layers. A qualitative different behaviour of the above quantities was found for different fluence ranges of the bombarding ions. For high fluences in all cases an oxygen stabilized disorder state was obtained with correspondingT c-increases betweenT c=0.2 K for the purest films (c 00.5 at %) andT c =1.2 K for films with c 0=40 at %. The annealing behaviour of the irradiated films is also dependent on the oxygen contentc 0.  相似文献

We report the transient optical pump-probe reflectivity measurements on single and double layer cuprate single crystals and thin films of ten different stoichiometries. We find that with sufficiently low fluence the relaxation time ( of all samples exhibits a power law divergence with temperature . Further, the divergence has an onset temperature above the superconducting transition temperature for all superconducting samples. Magnetic properties of superconducting yttrium barium copper oxide (YBa2Cu3O7-δ) nanoparticles (31–43 nm) prepared by a chemical route have been studied. These nanoparticles have been found to clearly exhibit ferromagnetism at room temperature while superconducting transition is observed at lower temperatures. The low temperature hysteresis loops show evidence suggesting the presence of a large paramagnetic contribution in addition to the superconducting contributions from the particles. Bulk YBCO obtained by pelletizing and heating the same nanoparticles at a high temperature, displays the usual superconducting characteristics and gives no trace of ferromagnetism down to 10 K. The superconducting transition temperature of the nanoparticles is lower than for the bulk YBCO and there is a trend of decreasing T c with smaller size of the particles. In contrast the ferromagnetic moment increases with decreasing particle size. The development of ferromagnetism is attributed to the presence of surface oxygen vacancies that lead to electron redistribution on the different ions at the surface. The simultaneous decrease of superconducting T c and the increase of ferromagnetism with decreasing size considered as being reflective of the increased role of finite size and surface defects that weaken the superconductivity and enhance the ferromagnetism. Possible coexistence of surface ferromagnetism and bulk superconductivity at lower temperatures is discussed.  相似文献

Lead films vapor quenched onto nucleating monolayers of Mo or W exhibit strong lattice disorder and can be considered to be amorphous. The amorphous-to-crystalline transformation temperatureT tr is indicated by a sharp drop of the electrical resistivity in the course of annealing.T tr is found to be proportional tod –2 for Pb thicknessd smaller than 30 nm. The superconducting transition temperatureT c is by 0.6 to 1 K smaller in the amorphous state than after crystallization. In both states,T c is proportional tod –1. Prenucleation with about half a monolayer of Mo leads to quite the sameT c depression as observed earlier by Strongin et al. on Pb films vapor quenched onto predeposited films of SiO, Ge or Al2O3. For comparison, experiments have been carried out with 2.5 nm Ge predeposits. As with Mo prenucleation, a well defined transformation temperatureT tr of about the same value has been observed.T c of bulk amorphous Pb can be extrapolated to be about 6.6 K.  相似文献

利用混合物理化学气相沉积法(hybrid physical-chemical vapor deposition, HPCVD)可以制备出高性能的MgB2超导薄膜, 再对薄膜进行钛(Ti)离子辐照处理.经过辐照处理后的样品被掺入了Ti元素, 与未处理的干净MgB2样品相比,其超导转变温度没有出现大幅度的下降, 而在外加磁场下的临界电流密度得到了明显的提高,同时样品的上临界磁场也得到了提高. 在温度5 K, 外加垂直磁场为4 T的情况下, Ti离子辐照剂量为1× 1013/cm2的样品的临界电流密度达到了1.72× 105 A/cm2, 比干净的MgB2要高出许多,而其超导转变温度仍能维持在39.9 K的较高水平.  相似文献

Variations in the temperature behavior of resistivity, ρ(T), in the ab plane of the anisotropic single-crystal high-T c superconductor BiSrCuO (2201 phase) have been observed at the insulator-metal (IM) transition. At low temperatures, as one approaches the transition, the Mott relation for two dimensions, ln ρT −1/3, changes to ln ρT −1/2, which corresponds to hopping conduction with a Coulomb gap in the density of states. Negative temperature slopes were revealed in the samples near the transition. Estimates suggest that superconductivity in these samples sets in from the Anderson insulator state. The behavior of the width of the superconducting transition and of the temperature of its onset, T con, at the IM transition has been studied from measurements of the ac magnetic susceptibility. It is shown that in the vicinity of the IM transition the superconducting transition becomes broader, and the onset of the transition T con shifts toward higher temperatures. This behavior is attributed to nonuniform superconductivity resulting from formation in the crystal of superconducting droplets with different values of T c , which is caused by fluctuations in the local density of states due to the inherent disorder in the crystal. Europium oxide (Eu2O3) substituted compound has been prepared by solid-solid reaction of the powders of Eu2O3, BaCO3 and CuO at 950°C for 16 hours. The thin films have been deposited by high vacuum evaporation technique (vacuum ≈ 10−6 torr). The variation of current (I) with voltage (V) at room temperature (RT) i.e. 294 K and in ice (273 K) are found to be linear. The variation of electrical resistivity (ρ) with temperature (T) by heating the sample above RT has been determined. Resistivity is found to decrease with increase in temperature. Further the variation of electrical resistivity (ρ) with temperature (T) from 77 K, liquid nitrogen temperature (LNT), to 270 K has also been determined. It is observed that resistivity suddenly becomes zero at around 87 K. Thus the prepared material has superconducting properties with superconducting transition temperature, T c at 87 K.   相似文献

利用固态反应法制备了名义成分为FeTe的合金, 采用X射线粉末衍射技术和Rietveld全谱拟合分析方法测定了其相组成和晶体结构. 研究表明,主相为Fe1.08Te,空间群为P4/nmm,点阵参数 a = 3.8214(3) Å, c = 6.2875(3) Å, Z = 2, Fe原子占据2a和2c晶位, Te原子占据2c晶位. 利用脉冲激光沉积技术制备的FeTe薄膜超导转变起始温度为13.2 K,零电阻温度为9.8 K. 关键词: FeTe Rietveld结构精修 超导薄膜  相似文献

Al-films were evaporated from Al2O3-crucibles or W-boats onto substrates held at 4.2 K or at room temperature (R.T.). The superconducting transition temperatureT c was measured in situ, while the oxygen contentC o of the films was determined by Rutherford-backscattering. Layers evaporated at R.T. from Al2O3-crucibles exhibit aT c vs.C o-relation like granular Al-films. For layers quench-condensed from W-boats without an external oxygen source typicalT c -values of 2.5 K and oxygen concentrations of 10 at % were found. In case of quench-condensation from Al2O3-crucibles it is concluded from theT c vs.C o-relation that oxygen is incorporated into the films in the form of Al2O-molecules. The different behavior of theT c vs.C o-curves will be discussed.  相似文献

利用我们设计的一套光学变换传输系统实现了激光束在超导靶上一定范围内扫描消融来淀积高Tc超导薄膜。实验表明用这种激光扫描消融方法可使大尺寸超导薄膜的厚度均匀性得到较大的改善。我们采用激光扫描半径为9mm在12mm×33mm的Y-ZrO2基片上淀积出零电阻温度Tc≥90K,临界电流密度Jc(零磁场,77K)≥1×106A/cm2,薄膜c轴择优取向,厚度均匀性较好的YBa 关键词:  相似文献
