The preliminary LEP2 data on e+e? → l+l? scattering are analyzed to establish a model-independent search for the signals of virtual states of the Abelian Z′ boson. The recently introduced observables make it possible to pick up uniquely the Abelian Z′ signals in these processes. Themean values of the observables are in accordance with the Z′ existence. However, the accuracy of the experimental data is deficient to detect the signal at more than a 1σ C.L. The results of other model-independent fits and further prospects are discussed. 相似文献

To test the validity of perturbative QCD (pQCD) and investigate its range of application, one should look for a suitable process.
B→J/ψ
D is a promising candidate. The linear momentum of the products is relatively small, so that there may exist a region where
exchanged gluons are soft and the perturbative treatment may fail, so that the non-perturbative effect would be significant.
We attribute such non-perturbative QCD effects to the long-distance final-state interaction (FSI) which is estimated in this
work. We find that the contribution from the FSI to the branching ratio is indeed sizable and may span the rather wide range
of 10−6∼10−5 and cover a region where the pQCD prediction is of the same order. A more accurate measurement of its branching ratio may
provide important information about the application region of pQCD and help to clarify the picture of inelastic rescattering
(i.e. FSI), which is generally believed to play an important role in B decays. 相似文献

The process γ*γ → σ is investigated in the framework of the SU(2)×SU(2) chiral NJL model. The form factor of the process is derived for arbitrary virtuality of γ* in the Euclidean kinematic domain. We present the discovery potential for heavy Z′ gauge bosons in the Z′→e
+
e
− decay channel at the Large Hadron Collider. The analysis focuses on the direct search for the massive Z′ bosons predicted by the Stueckelberg extension of the Standard Model. Using signal and background simulated events, and
taking into account the basic parameters of the Compact Muon Solenoid detector, the discovery reach for the Stueckelberg Z′ is found to be in the range between 800 and 900 GeV/c2 for an integrated luminosity of 30 fb−1. 相似文献

We present the Large Hadron Collider (LHC) discovery potential in the Z′ sector of a \(U(1)_{B\mbox{--}L}\) enlarged Standard Model (that also includes three heavy Majorana neutrinos and an additional Higgs boson) for \(\sqrt{s}=7\), 10 and 14 TeV centre-of-mass (CM) energies, considering both the \(Z'_{B\mbox{--}L}\rightarrow e^{+}e^{-}\) and \(Z'_{B\mbox{--}L}\rightarrow\mu^{+}\mu^{-}\) decay channels. The comparison of the (irreducible) backgrounds with the expected backgrounds for the DØ experiment at the Tevatron validates our simulation. We propose an alternative analysis that has the potential to improve the DØ sensitivity. Electrons provide a higher sensitivity to smaller couplings at small \(Z'_{B\mbox{--}L}\) boson masses than do muons. The resolutions achievable may allow the \(Z'_{B\mbox{--}L}\) boson width to be measured at smaller masses in the case of electrons in the final state. The run of the LHC at \(\sqrt{s}=7\) TeV, assuming at most \(\int\mathcal{L} \sim1\) fb?1, will be able to give similar results to those that will be available soon at the Tevatron in the lower mass region, and to extend them for a heavier M Z′. 相似文献

final state interaction can influence the amplitudes considerably, in special areas of phase space. These results cast doubt

L subshell fluorescent X-rays in Dy, Ho, Er, Lu, Ta, W, Pt, Au, Hg, Pb and Bi have been measured using synchrotron with selective creation of electron vacancies in individual subshells. Coster–Kronig (CK) yields were derived from the measured intensities. Present measurements have been made at photon energies above the edges where differences between measured and theoretical attenuation coefficients are almost negligible. Parametric trends for the results with Z were developed to cover all Zs in the range of 66–83. The trends predict the switching-off of L 1–L 2, N1 transition at Z = 67. The extent of fall /rise of fLij values corresponding to off /on of certain transitions is found inversely proportional to the difference in binding energies of two consecutive subshells involved in the transition. For Zs above /below these rises /falls, fL13 and fL12 values are almost constants. fL23 values involving no break at Zs follow the general photoionization behaviour that ionization probability is highest at the edge energy and decreases with photon energy. Yield measurements with synchrotron radiation for Dy, Ho, Lu, Hg and Bi and experimental values for fL23, fL12 in Lu and for fL13 in Ta are being quoted for the first time. 相似文献

In dilatonic cosmology model, we study the behavior of attractor solution in ω–ω′ plane, which is defined by the equation of state parameter for the dark energy and its derivative with respect to N (the logarithm of the scale factor a). This is a good method which is useful to the study of classifying the dynamical dark energy models including “freezing”

We present an analysis of recent high-statistical KLOE data on φ → ηπ0γ decay. This decay mainly goes through the a0γ intermediate state, which makes it possible to investigate properties of the a0. We study spherically symmetric static empty space solutions in R+ε/R model of f(R) gravity. We show that the Schwarzschild metric is an exact solution of the resulted field equations and consequently there
are general solutions which are perturbed Schwarzschild metric and viable for solar system. Our results for large scale contains

We study the effect of Z′-mediated flavor-changing neutral current on the B → ππ decays. The branching ratios of these decays can be enhanced remarkably in the nonuniversal Z′ model. Our estimated branching ratios B(B 0 → π 0 π 0) are enhanced significantly from their standard model (SM) value. For g′/g = 1, the branching ratios B(B 0 → π 0 π 0) are very close to the recently observed experimental values and for higher values of g′/g branching ratios are more. Our calculated branching ratios B(B 0 → π + π ?) and B(B + → π + π 0) are also enhanced from the SM value as well as the recently observed experimental values. These enhancements of branching ratios from their SM value give the possibility of new physics. 相似文献

N,N-dimethyl-N′-picryl-4,4′-stilbenediamine (DMPSDA) was prepared, purified and crystallised in a form of black lustrous crystals, and its absorption and fluorescence spectra were recorded in cyclohexane, acetonitrile and dimethyl sulfoxide. Non-emissive intramolecular charge transfer state (ICT) was clearly observed in this molecule in all three solvents. Theoretical calculations demonstrating a betaine electronic structure of the trinitrophenyl group in the ground state of the molecule and a charge transfer nature of the long wavelength transition S0?→?S1 supported the experimental observations of the ICT formation in the molecule. 相似文献
