The polarized Raman spectra of Nd1+xBa2−xCu3O7−δ (−0.023≤x≤0.107) and Pr1+xBa2−xCu3O7−δ (0.01≤x≤0.15) single crystals have been investigated. It was found that the Cu(2) Ag mode softens by 6 cm−1 in Nd 1:2:3 and 4 cm−1 in Pr 1:2:3 as x increases. These frequency shifts cannot be explained by the change in the relevant bond lengths due to Nd(Pr)-substitution for Ba. The variations with x of the two low frequency modes may be affected by change of their hybridization and/or change of their force constants. The linewidths of Ba mode in Pr 1:2:3 are broader than those in Y 1:2:3. This result suggests that the Pr substitution on Ba sites occurred even in a very small value of x. In x(yy) geometry the relative intensity of the Ba and O(4) modes in Nd 1:2:3 is greater than those in Pr 1:2:3. The difference between Nd 1:2:3 and Pr 1:2:3 in the relative intensity of the Ba and O(4) modes may be produced by the chains.  相似文献

Single crystals with known Tc values of Y1−xPrxBa2Cu3O7−δ (Y---Pr1:2:3) and YBa2Cu3−xZn3−xZnxO7−δ (Y---Zn1:2:3) systems are studied by Raman measurements. The Raman spectra for (Y---Pr1:2:3) single crystals show that the frequencies of Ba and Oz modes increase as the Pr content increases. The results are consistent with the hole-localization scheme proposed for the suppression of superconductivity in the polycrystalline Y---Pr1:2:3 systems. On the other hand, in the Y---Zn1:2:3 system, all the Raman modes do not change in frequencies. However, the FWHM of the Cu(2) mode increases with the decrease of Tc, indicating strong scattering of charge carriers by the substituted Zn ions in the CuO2 planes. The induced disorder in the CuO2 planes may be related with suppression of Tc in the Y---Zn1:2:3 system. Thus, the suppression mechanism in the Y---Zn1:2:3 systems seems to be different from that in the Y---Pr1:2:3 systems.  相似文献

The flux pinning behavior of a Nd1+xBa2−xCu3O7−δ (Nd123) single crystal, which exhibited a peak effect, has been studied by monitoring the time decay of the magnetic moment. The apparent pinning energy (U0*) was deduced from flux creep data on the basis of the Anderson-Kim model. The magnetic field dependence of U0* showed maxima at peak fields which depended on the temperatures, in a similar manner to those of critical current densities. In addition, the temperature dependence of U0* showed several features. To explain the increase in U0* with the field as well as its temperature and field dependence, we made a numerical calculation by introducing an additional pinning energy which increased with increasing field. The results are in good agreement with the experimental data, especially at temperatures above 60 K, where the contribution of field induced pinning centers is believed to be dominant.  相似文献

The heat release has been measured in high temperature superconductors during and after a change of the external magnetic field μ0Ha ≤ 0.5 T applied parallel to the c-axis at 0.1 K ≤ T ≤ 0.45 K. Two Y123 and one Dy123 twinned single crystals were investigated. An analysis of the heat release based on the Bean model and on a model for thin superconductors in perpendicular geometry recently proposed by Brandt et al. has been carried out. During field sweep we measured ∝ Ha2dHa/dt. This dependence can be understood within the Bean model for longitudinal geometry. The critical current densities obtained with this method are in good agreement with those from magnetization measurements. We also present measurements, and a first quantitative analysis, of dissipation due to the time relaxation of the flux line lattice after a field sweep. For the heat release a t−1 dependence has been found which corresponds to a logarithmic time dependence of the magnetization. The normalized relaxation rate we obtained is in agreement with literature values.  相似文献

New Scheelite-related solid solutions of the compositions Nax/2Bi1−x/2MoxV1−xO4 (0≤x≤1) and Bi1−x/3 MoxV1−xO4(0≤x≤0.2) have been synthesised by the substitution of Na and Mo at the A and B sites respectively of the ABO4 type ferroelastic BiVO4. The phases were characterised using chemical analysis, powder X-ray diffraction, scanning electron microscopy, EDAX, and Raman spectroscopy. While almost a continuous solid solution is obtained for the series Nax/2Bi1−x/2MoxV1−xO4, the absence of Na at the A-site results only in a narrow stability region for the other series, Bi1−x/3 MoxV1−xO4 where 0≤x≤0.2. Raman spectra of selected samples at room temperature also suggest that vanadium and molybdenum atoms are disordered at the tetrahedral sites.  相似文献

Polarized micro-Raman scattering measurements have been performed on the five members of the HgBa2Can−1CunO2n+2+δ (n=1,2,3,4 and 5) high-Tc superconductor family using different laser frequencies. Local laser annealing measurements were carried out to investigate the variation of the Raman spectra with the excess oxygen content, δ. A systematic evolution of the spectra, which display mainly peaks near 590, 570, 540 and 470 cm−1, with increasing number of CuO2 layers has been observed; its origin has been shown to lie in the variation of the interstitial oxygen content. In addition to confirming that the 590 cm−1 mode represents vibration of apical oxygens in the absence of neighboring excess oxygen, the 570 cm−1 mode, which may be composed of some finer structures, has been assigned to the vibration of the apical oxygen modified by the presence of the neighboring excess oxygens. The 540 and 470 cm−1 modes may represent the direct vibration of excess oxygens. The implication of possible different distribution sites of excess oxygens is discussed. All other observed lower-frequency modes are also assigned.  相似文献

Ion-implantation-induced structural modifications in Y1Ba2Cu3O7−δ superconductor are examined by a grazing angle X- ray diffraction technique. By employing a range of grazing angles from 0.3° to 10° it is shown that 100 KeV Ar+ inplantation of the superconductor leads to amorphization as well as modification of grain size and orientation at dose values lower than 1016 ions/ cm2. At the dose of 5 × 1016 ions/ cm2 the X-ray diffraction intensity is a factor of 6 less as compared to the original pellet, though the lines themselves are sharp. This shows coexistence of perovskite grains and amorphous matrix.  相似文献

Cation deficient spinels NixMn3−x3δ/4O4+δ (0≤x≤1) have been prepared by thermal decomposition of mixed oxalates Nix/3Mn(3−x)/3(C2O4nH2O in air at 623 K. They have been characterised by temperature programmed reduction (TPR) under H2, the reaction being followed by gravimetric and powder X-ray diffraction measurements. It has been shown that TPR proceeds in several steps. The first steps correspond to the loss of nonstoichiometric oxygen leading to the formation of a stoichiometric oxide. During the following stages the manganese cations are reduced, causing the spinel structure to be destroyed, and the formation of solid solution of NiO in a cubic MnO. Subsequently, Ni2+ cations undergo a reduction to metallic nickel, and, finally, a mixture of nonstoichiometric MnO1−δ and metallic nickel is formed. These oxides contain a high level of vacancies which vary with the nickel content with a maximum of δ≈1 near x=0.6. This nonstoichiometry is ascribed both to the presence of Ni3+ and excess of Mn4+.  相似文献

AC magnetic susceptibility measurements were performed for ceramics of the Ho1−xPrxBa2Cu3O7−δ system as a function of temperature, frequency, field amplitude and static magnetic field. From the measurements, temperature dependences of intergranular critical currents and corresponding pinning energies at grain boundaries were determined for different Pr concentrations. These critical currents strongly decrease with Pr doping. They are limited by superconductor–insulator–superconductor or superconductor–normal metal–superconductor junctions and for higher Pr concentrations additionally suppressed by flux creep. Also intragranular critical current at 4.3 K was determined as a function of Pr concentration from magnetic hysteresis loops. It is a monotonically decreasing function of Pr doping.  相似文献

We have measured the thermoelectric power, S, and the irreversibility field, Hirr, of the superconducting samples of (Hg,Tl)2Ba2Can−1CunOy (n=2–5). S values for the (Hg,Tl)-22(n−1)n above their Tc's drastically increase with increasing n. Judging from the S values at room temperature, the n=2 and 3 samples are located in the overdoped region, the n=4 is in the almost optimally doped and the n=5 is in the underdoped region. Hirr values for the n=4 and 5 samples are higher than those for the as-synthesized and annealed n=3 samples. It is considered that the enhancement in Hirr is due not only to the increase of hole concentration but to the increase in the number of CuO2 sheets.  相似文献

Pr concentration dependence of the superconducting transition temperature Tc in the Ho1−xPrxBa2Cu3O7−δ system is determined from measurements of DC electrical resistance. This dependence coincides with that for the parallely studied Y1−xPrxBa2Cu3O7−δ reference system. Both systems have the same value of the critical concentration xc=0.58, in accordance with nearly equal ionic radii of Ho3+ and Y3+ ions. It has been shown that the Tc(x) curve can be described with a single mechanism based on a decreasing number of sheet holes trapped by PrIV-ions, if one takes also into account that the number of these ions changes with x.  相似文献

Thin films of Cu, Y and BaF2 are co-condensed in ultrahigh vacuum onto SrTiO3 (1 0 0)-substrates at room temperature without any additional oxygen supply. It is found that the temperature of the ex situ fluorine-oxygen exchange reaction in flowing wet oxygen essentially determines whether the Y1Ba2Cu3O7 − x-phase (Tex = 850°C) or the Y2Ba4Cu8O16 − x-phase (Tex = 800°C) forms or any mixture of both phases in between. Small-angle X-ray diffraction verifies the strictly epitaxial growth of the superconducting phases. The variation of the composition around the ideal 1,2,3-stoichiometry affects only the superconducting and normal conducting properties which are measured using the four-probe Montgomery method. The values of the normal state resistivity and its temperature dependence are discussed in combination with a reduced cross section of the conduction paths in the films.  相似文献

As a common effect of a large and variable temperature gradient and a temperature pulse, a thermal instability of a new type has been observed in high-Tc superconductors. The primary effect is the temporal change of local energy density, that causes a dynamic state of simultaneously coexisting normal and superconducting domains, establishing a spatial and temporal variation of superconducting and normal states. The fluctuation of the ratio of the superconducting and normal volume fractions can be detected by the oscillation of DC and AC voltages measured on the samples. Supposing that every jump of the AC voltage represents the transformation of a single coherent domain, it leads to the average value of the linear dimension of domains as 2.1 mm, characteristic time of the transformation as 7.5 s and velocity of the propagation of this effect as 0.3 mm/s in the case of Y1Ba2Cu3O7−δ specimens. The macroscopic consequence of the thermal disturbance introduced into the sample is the appearance of a giant flux creep. Its existence is confirmed by comparison of our measurements to others, by analytical and numerical calculations of the forces acting on the vortices and by evaluation of the effect of the huge fluctuation created in the samples by our experiments.  相似文献

Serial single-phase Gd2(Fe1−xyCoyTix)17 compounds have been synthesized. These compounds have a crystal structure belonging to rhombohedral lattice with space group. The lattice parameters of compounds decrease with cobalt content and increase with titanium content, respectively. The saturation magnetization decreases with increasing cobalt and titanium contents. The anisotropy fields increase to maximum then decrease with cobalt concentration. The magnetocrystalline anisotropy constants increase with cobalt content from negative to positive maximum and then decrease with Co concentration. The saturation moment of the compounds decreases linearly with cobalt concentration and decreases nonlinearly with titanium concentration.  相似文献

Degradation processes in 2212 thallium-based superconductors have been investigated using X-ray diffraction and electron microscopy techniques. It has been shown that the formation of amorphous or microcrystalline material by decomposition of the superconducting phase is followed by the crystallization of BaCo3 and other oxide compounds. The influence of preexisting BaCO3 on the rate of this degradation process has also been studied, and the results indicate that the removal of this stable precursor compound is an important step in improving the long term stability of the 2212 phase.  相似文献

Magnetic and low temperature specific heat measurements have been performed on iron doped YBa2(Cu1−xFex)3O7−δ samples with different oxygen contents (δ0 and δ1). Iron doping induces an orthorhombic to tetragonal transition and a decrease of both Tc and diamagnetic signal. Low temperature specific heat measurements reveal a Schottky type anomaly for δ0 samples with x=0.01 (1.8 K) and x=0.02 (3 K). This anomaly is attributed to magnetic interactions within iron limited chains. A numerical analysis of this effect is proposed.  相似文献

YBa2Cu3O7−δ (YBCO) based SNS edge junctions with cobalt doped YBCO barriers were prepared and characterized. At 77 K, good junctions had RSJ-like I–V curves with excess current, magnetic suppression of Ic of about 50% or more, and clear microwave steps. The conductance values 1/RN at 77 K of junctions with different barrier thickness and composition, were proportional to the junction areas A, but show little correlation with the thickness of the barriers tB in the range of 15tB100nm. The corresponding IcRN products were observed to scale as J0.66±0.09c, similar to what was found by others. At the same time, the measured values of RN are much smaller than what is expected based on the dimensions of the junction and the resistivity of the barrier material. To explain all of this, we propose a model in which at high supercurrent densities, flux flow of Josephson vortices in the junction leads to RN values which are lower than expected. This model predicts

Temperature and angular dependences of 205Tl line width, Δ , and transverse relaxation time, τ, have been measured in two crystals of Tl2Ba2CuOx with Tc = 32 and 115 K, respectively. In the normal state both Δ and τ have been found to be temperature-independent and not to vary with varying Tc, implying that the size of inhomogeneous broadening is also invariable. Analysis of the line width angular dependence shows that the inhomogeneous broadening originates, most probably, from local distortions associated with Cu substitution for Tl. A conclusion is that variations in Tc are not related to this substitution.  相似文献
