Based on the Monte Carlo method, we simulate the magnetization curves with various magnetic field orientations for various single Co nanowires at room temperature. The simulated switching field as a function of angle between the field and the wire axis is consistent well with the experimental data. Correspondingly, the coercivity as a function of angle θ is presented, which together with the switching field plays an important role on explaining the magnetic reversal mechanism. It is found that the angular dependence of coercivity depends on the diameter of nanowires, and the coercivity and switching field versus θ deviate markedly from the prediction from the classical uniform rotation mode in the chain-of-sphere model. Furthermore, the magnetic reversal configurations display that magnetization reversal in the wires with small diameters is a nucleation-propagation process, and it is similar to the curling spread process in the larger wires.  相似文献

The purpose of this paper is to prove connections among the asymptotic behavior of the magnetization, the structure of the phase transitions, and a class of polynomials that we call the Ginzburg–Landau polynomials. The model under study is a mean-field version of a lattice spin model due to Blume and Capel. It is defined by a probability distribution that depends on the parameters β and K, which represent, respectively, the inverse temperature and the interaction strength. Our main focus is on the asymptotic behavior of the magnetization m(β n ,K n ) for appropriate sequences (β n ,K n ) that converge to a second-order point or to the tricritical point of the model and that lie inside various subsets of the phase-coexistence region. The main result states that as (β n ,K n ) converges to one of these points (β,K), . In this formula γ is a positive constant, and is the unique positive, global minimum point of a certain polynomial g. We call g the Ginzburg–Landau polynomial because of its close connection with the Ginzburg–Landau phenomenology of critical phenomena. For each sequence the structure of the set of global minimum points of the associated Ginzburg–Landau polynomial mirrors the structure of the set of global minimum points of the free-energy functional in the region through which (β n ,K n ) passes and thus reflects the phase-transition structure of the model in that region. This paper makes rigorous the predictions of the Ginzburg–Landau phenomenology of critical phenomena and the tricritical scaling theory for the mean-field Blume–Capel model.  相似文献

Remanence properties and magnetization reversal mechanism of Fe nanowire arrays with diameters 16nm and 130nm are studied. Isothermal remanent magnetization curves show that the contribution of irreversible magnetization decreases when the diameter changes from 16nm to 130hm. The remanence coercivities of these nanowires obtained in dc-demagnetization curve are about 2400 Oe and 800 Oe, respectively. The magnetization reversal mechanism is different in these two samples. For the nanowire array with diameter 16nm, both the nucleation and the pinning have effects on magnetization reversal mechanism, and the pinning field (about 2500 Oe) is larger than the nucleation field (about 2200 Oe). However, for the nanowire array with diameter 130nm, the magnetization reversal mechanism is dominated by the pinning effect of domain walls.  相似文献

Through magnetization measurement with a SQUID magnetometer the heat treatment optimization of an international thermonuclear experimental reactor (ITER)-type internal-Sn Nb3Sn superconducting wire has been investigated. The irreversibility temperature T^* (H), which is mainly dependent on A15 phase composition, was obtained by a warming and cooling cycle at a fixed field. The hysteresis width △M(H) which reflects the flux pinning situation of the A15 phase is determined by the sweeping of magnetic field at a constant temperature. The results obtained from differently heat-treated samples show that the combination of T^* (H) with AM(H) measurement is very effective for optimizing the heat reaction process. The heat treatment condition of the ITER-type wire is optimized at 675℃/128 h, which results in a composition closer to stoichiometric Nb3Sn and a state with best flux pinning.  相似文献

A variational method is proposed to find the magnetic field dependence of the magnetization of type-II superconductors in the mixed state by a self-consistent technique. This model allows for suppression of the order parameter to zero at the centers of Abrikosov vortices and also for the magnetic field dependence of the order parameter. The results can be applied to the entire range of fields H c 1 ≤ HH c 2 for any values of the Ginzburg-Landau parameter $\kappa > 1/\sqrt 2$ . It is shown that in weak fields where κ ? 1 the behavior of the magnetization can be described exactly in the London approximation provided that the correct value of H c 1 is used. Near the second critical field this dependence shows good agreement with the well-known Abrikosov result. It is also shown that using the concept of isolated vortices and applying the principle of superposition of the fields and currents generated by these vortices to calculate the magnetization gives inaccurate quantitative results even in fairly weak fields. By going beyond these concepts, it was possible to allow more accurately for the influence of the vortex cores on the magnetization behavior in the intermediate range of fields H c 1 ?H ? H c 2 and to identify the range of validity of various approximations used widely in the literature.  相似文献

57Fe (1%) doped SrCoO3 obtained by high-pressure method, has been investigated by magnetization and Mössbauer spectroscopy studies (MS) in the temperature range 4.2 K to 300 K. The ferromagnetic ordering temperature T C obtained is 272(2) K. Isothermal magnetization curves have been measured at various temperatures, from which the saturation moments (M sat) have been deduced. The 57Fe MS spectra display standard six-line patterns with an isomer shift typical of Fe3?+? and a very small quadrupole splitting (QS = 0.14(1) mm/s above T C). The magnetic hyperfine field at 4.2 K is 276(1) kOe. The temperature dependencies of the iron hyperfine field and M sat (1.83 µ B at 5 K) are almost identical. This shows that the Fe3?+? is replacing Co4?+?, both of the same electronic configuration. They also interact similarly, namely the Fe–Co exchange is almost identical to the Co–Co exchange.  相似文献

Magnetization of anisotropic quantum dots in the presence of the Rashba spin–orbit interaction has been studied for three and four interacting electrons in the dot for non-zero values of the applied magnetic field. We observe unique behaviors of magnetization that are direct reflections of the anisotropy and the spin–orbit interaction parameters independently or concurrently. In particular, there are saw-tooth structures in the magnetic field dependence of the magnetization, as caused by the electron–electron interaction, that are strongly modified in the presence of large anisotropy and high strength of the spin–orbit interactions. We also report the temperature dependence of magnetization that indicates the temperature beyond which these structures due to the interactions disappear. Additionally, we found the emergence of a weak sawtooth structure in magnetization for three electrons in the high anisotropy and large spin–orbit interaction limit that was explained as a result of merging of two low-energy curves when the level spacings evolve with increasing values of the anisotropy and the spin–orbit interaction strength.  相似文献

CoPt-based hard–soft sputtered bilayers with (1 1 1) texture have been produced by appropriate heat treatment of the bottom layer. Two samples with different degrees of chemical ordering of the hard layer are compared. The anisotropy of the hard layer determines its robustness against destabilization from the soft one. Detailed measurements of the soft layer minor hysteresis loop features as a function of the magnetic state of the hard layer are proposed as a means to study the nature of interfacial exchange interactions and the mechanism of magnetization reversal. When hard layer anisotropy is not robust enough, the reversed soft layer can induce irreversible changes to the magnetic structure at the interface leading to a decoupling of exchange field from the magnetic state of the hard layer.  相似文献

The giant magnetoresistance (GMR) effect and magnetization curves of Cu80 Co20 granular thin films are studied and measured in a superparamagnetism temperature (180K). The correlation between the GMR effect and the magnetization is analysed in a unified framework. These two independent properties are fitted by assuming that there are two size distributions in the Co nano-particle population. Under an assumption, good fittings are achieved for both the GMR and the magnetization, using the minimal number of parameters. The obtained average particle sizes for the smaller and larger particles are 1.0hm and 2.8nm, respectively. In fitting the magneto-transport, a power scaling relationship with the particle size for each size population is proposed, and the fitted results reveal that a certain degree of magnetic bulk scattering is present in larger particles.  相似文献

Based upon the calculations of energy levels and quantum states, we discuss the probability of quantum spontaneous magnetization flux as a function of the screen parameter β for the superconducting ring containing one Josephson π-junction, and compare the result with that in the classical case. This study determined the within-subject and between-subject variability of different ways of expressing the results of the (13)C-aminopyrine breath test ((13)C-ABT) and the effect of shortening the test duration. The (13)C-ABT was conducted on three separate occasions in 10 healthy volunteers and on a single occasion in 22 patients with established liver cirrhosis. The within-subject variability of cumulative percentage dose recovered (cPDR), using measured CO(2) production rate (VCO(2)), in the reference group over three trials was 15% over 120 min. Higher within-subject variability in cPDR would have been evident if the test was terminated at either 30 or 60 min. Substitution of predicted VCO(2) to calculate cPDR yielded comparable values at all time points. Significant differences between cirrhotics and reference group were evident after just 10 min using PDR/h, cPDR or enrichment (all P<0.05). The ABT demonstrates clinically acceptable reproducibility. Shortening of the duration may make the test more acceptable clinically, but it is associated with increasing imprecision.  相似文献

The electronic, structural, and thermodynamic properties of the TiZr equiatomic alloy have been calculated in terms of the electron density functional theory and Debye-Grüneisen model. The calculated lattice parameters a and c/a agree well with experimental data for the α, ω, and β phases. It has been shown that the ω phase is stable at atmospheric pressure and low temperatures, and it remains energetically more favorable up to T = 600 K. In the temperature range 600 K < T < 900 K, the α phase becomes stable, and above 900 K, the β phase of the TiZr alloy is stable. The phase diagram constructed in this study agrees qualitatively with the available experimental data. A tendency toward separation of the TiZr equiatomic alloy in the ω phase has been analyzed. It has been demonstrated that, in the ground state, the TiZr equiatomic alloy in the ω phase exhibits a tendency toward ordering rather than toward phase separation.  相似文献

Ultrathin Fe films were epitaxially grown on Si(lll) by using an ultrathin iron silicide film with p(2 × 2) surface reconstruction as a template. The surface structure and magnetic properties were investigated in situ by low energy electron diffraction (LEED), scanning tunnelling microscopy (STM), and surface magneto-optical effect (SMOKE). Polar SMOKE hysteresis loops demonstrate that the Fe ultrathin films with thickness t 〈 6 ML (monolayers) exhibit perpen-dicular magnetic anisotropy. The characters of M-H loops with the external magnetic field at difference angles and the angular dependence of coercivity suggest that the domain-wall pinning plays a dominant role in the magnetization reversal process.[第一段]  相似文献
