The treatment of Fe(ClO(4))(2)·6H(2)O or Fe(ClO(4))(3)·9H(2)O with a benzimidazolyl-rich ligand, N,N,N',N'-tetrakis[(1-methyl-2-benzimidazolyl)methyl]-1,2-ethanediamine (medtb) in alcohol/MeCN gives a mononuclear ferrous complex, [Fe(II)(medtb)](ClO(4))(2)·?CH(3)CN·?CH(3)OH (1), and four non-heme alkoxide-iron(III) complexes, [Fe(III)(OMe)(medtb)](ClO(4))(2)·H(2)O (2, alcohol = MeOH), [Fe(III)(OEt)(Hmedtb)](ClO(4))(3)·CH(3)CN (3, alcohol = EtOH), [Fe(III)(O(n)Pr)(Hmedtb)](ClO(4))(3)·(n)PrOH·2CH(3)CN (4, alcohol = n-PrOH), and [Fe(III)(O(n)Bu)(Hmedtb)](ClO(4))(3)·3CH(3)CN·H(2)O (5, alcohol = n-BuOH), respectively. The alkoxide-iron(III) complexes all show 1) a Fe(III)-OR center (R = Me, 2; Et, 3; (n)Pr, 4; (n)Bu, 5) with the Fe-O bond distances in the range of 1.781-1.816 ?, and 2) a yellow color and an intense electronic transition around 370 nm. The alkoxide-iron(III) complexes can be reduced by organic compounds with a cis,cis-1,4-diene moiety via the hydrogen atom abstraction reaction.  相似文献

The iron(III) complexes [Fe(2)(HPTB)(mu-OH)(NO(3))(2)](NO(3))(2).CH(3)OH.2H(2)O (1), [Fe(2)(HPTB)(mu-OCH(3))(NO(3))(2)](NO(3))(2).4.5CH(3)OH (2), [Fe(2)(HPTB)(mu-OH)(OBz)(2)](ClO(4))(2).4.5H(2)O (3), [Fe(2)(N-EtOH-HPTB)(mu-OH)(NO(3))(2)](ClO(4))(NO(3)).3CH(3)OH.1.5H(2)O (4), [Fe(2)(5,6-Me(2)-HPTB)(mu-OH)(NO(3))(2)](ClO(4))(NO(3)).3.5CH(3)OH.C(2)H(5)OC(2)H(5).0.5H(2)O (5), and [Fe(4)(HPTB)(2)(mu-F)(2)(OH)(4)](ClO(4))(4).CH(3)CN.C(2)H(5)OC(2)H(5).H(2)O (6) were synthesized (HPTB = N,N,N',N'-tetrakis(2-benzimidazolylmethyl)-2-hydroxo-1,3-diaminopropane, N-EtOH-HPTB = N,N,N',N'-tetrakis(N' '-(2-hydroxoethyl)-2-benzimidazolylmethyl)-2-hydroxo-1,3-diaminopropane, 5,6-Me(2)-HPTB = N,N,N',N'-tetrakis(5,6-dimethyl-2-benzimidazolylmethyl)-2-hydroxo-1,3-diaminopropane). The molecular structures of 2-6 were established by single-crystal X-ray crystallography. Iron(II) complexes with ligands similar to the dinucleating ligands described herein have been used previously as model compounds for the dioxygen uptake at the active sites of non-heme iron enzymes. The same metastable (mu-peroxo)diiron(III) adducts were observed during these studies. They can be prepared by adding hydrogen peroxide to the iron(III) compounds 1-6. Using stopped-flow techniques these reactions were kinetically investigated in different solvents and a mechanism was postulated.  相似文献

A new bis-tetradentate acyclic amine ligand L(Et) has been synthesized from 4,6-bis(aminomethyl)-2-phenylpyrimidine and 2-vinylpyridine. Dinuclear complexes, Mn(II)(2)L(Et)(MeCN)(H(2)O)(3)(ClO(4))(4) (1), Fe(II)(2)L(Et)(H(2)O)(4)(BF(4))(4) (2), Co(II)(2)L(Et)(H(2)O)(3)(MeCN)(2)(BF(4))(4) (3), Ni(II)(2)L(Et)(H(2)O)(4)(BF(4))(4) (4), Ni(II)(2)L(Et)(H(2)O)(4)(ClO(4))(4)·8H(2)O (4'), Cu(II)(2)L(Et)(BF(4))(4)·MeCN (5), Zn(II)(2)L(Et)(BF(4))(2)(BF(4))(2)·?MeCN (6), were obtained from 1 : 2 reactions of L(Et) and the appropriate metal salts in MeCN, whereas in MeOH tetranuclear complexes, Mn(II)(4)(L(Et))(2)(OH)(4)(ClO(4))(4) (7), Fe(II)(4)(L(Et))(2)(F)(4)(BF(4))(4)·5/2H(2)O (8), Co(II)(4)(L(Et))(2)(F)(4)(BF(4))(4)·3H(2)O (9), Ni(II)(4)(L(Et))(2)(F)(4)(BF(4))(4)·4H(2)O (10), Cu(II)(4)(L(Et))(2)(F)(4)(BF(4))(4)·3H(2)O (11) and Zn(II)(4)(L(Et))(2)(F)(4)(BF(4))(4) (12), result. Six complexes have been structurally characterized: in all cases each L(Et) is bis-tetradentate and provides a pyrimidine bridge between two metal centres. As originally anticipated, complexes 1, 4' and 6 are dinuclear, while 9, 10 and 12 are revealed to be tetranuclear, with two M(2)(L(Et))(4+) moieties bridged by two pairs of fluoride anions. Weak to moderate antiferromagnetic coupling between the metal centres is a feature of complexes 2, 3, 4, 8, 9 and 10. The dinuclear complexes 1-6 undergo multiple, mostly irreversible, redox processes. However, the pyrimidine-based dicopper(II) complex 5 undergoes a two electron quasi-reversible reduction, Cu(II)(2)→ Cu(I)(2), and this occurs at a more positive potential [E(m) = +0.11 V (E(pc) = -0.03 and E(pa) = +0.26 V) vs. 0.01 M AgNO(3)/Ag] than for either of the dicopper(II) complexes of the analogous pyrazine-based ligands.  相似文献

Dinuclear [(NiL)Gd(hfac)(2)(EtOH)](H(3)L = 1,1,1-tris(N-salicylideneaminomethyl)ethane, Hhfac = hexafluoroacetylacetone), trinuclear [(NiL)(2)Gd(NO(3))], and tetranuclear [(NiL)Gd(CH(3)CO(2))(2)(MeOH)](2) complexes, were prepared by treating [Ni(HL)] with [Gd(hfac)(3)(H(2)O)(2)], Gd(NO(3))(3).6H(2)O, and Gd(CH(3)CO(2))(3).4H(2)O, respectively, in the presence of Et(3)N. All the complexes show that ferromagnetic interactions occur between the Ni(II) and Gd(III) ions.  相似文献

The synthesis and physical characterization of oxo-bridged [Cr(2)(tmpa)(2)(&mgr;-O)(X)](n)()(+) complexes (tmpa = tris(2-pyridylmethyl)amine) containing a variety of complementary ligands (X = CO(3)(2)(-), PhPO(4)(2)(-), HS(-)) are described, with the objective of understanding factors underlying variations in the antiferromagnetic coupling constant J. We also present the crystal structure of [(tmpa)Cr(&mgr;-O)(&mgr;-CO(3))Cr(tmpa)](ClO(4))(2).2H(2)O, for comparison with previous findings on [(tmpa)Cr(&mgr;-O)(&mgr;-CH(3)CO(2))Cr(tmpa)](ClO(4))(3). The carbonate-bridged complex crystallizes in the monoclinic space group P2(1)/c with a = 11.286(10) ?, b = 18.12(2) ?, c = 20.592(12) ?, beta = 95.99(5) degrees, and V = 4190 ?(3) and Z = 4. Asymmetric tmpa ligation pertains, with apical N atoms situated trans to bridging oxo and acido O atoms. Key structural parameters include Cr-O(b) bond lengths of 1.818(6) and 1.838(6) ?, Cr-OCO(2) distances of 1.924(7) and 1.934(7) ?, and a bridging bond angle of 128.3(3) degrees. Several attempts to prepare oxo, amido-bridged dimers were unsuccessful, but the nearlinear [Cr(tmpa)(N(CN)(2))](2)O(ClO(4))(2).3H(2)O complex was isolated from the reaction of dicyanamide ion with [Cr(tmpa)(OH)](2)(4+). In contrast to the behavior of analogous diiron(III) complexes, antiferromagnetic coupling constants of [Cr(2)(tmpa)(2)(&mgr;-O)(X)](n)()(+) dinuclear species are highly responsive to the X group. Considering the complexes with X = CO(3)(2)(-), PhPO(4)(2)(-), HS(-), SO(4)(2)(-), and RCO(2)(-) (10 R substituents), we find a reasonably linear, empirical relationship between J and oxo bridge basicity, as measured by pK(a) (Cr(OH)Cr) values in aqueous solution. While there is no theoretical basis for such a correlation between solid-state and solution-phase properties, this relationship demonstrates that CrOCr pi-bonding contributes significantly to antiferromagnetic exchange. Thus, J tends to become less negative with increasing &mgr;-O(2)(-) basicity, showing that greater availability of a bridging oxo group lone pair toward the proton, with decreasing CrOCr pi-interaction, reduces the singlet-triplet gap.  相似文献

Two one-dimensional (1D) manganese complexes, [Mn(2)(naphtmen)(2)(L)](ClO(4))·2Et(2)O·2MeOH·H(2)O (1) and [Mn(2)(naphtmen)(2)(HL)](ClO(4))(2)·MeOH (2), were synthesized by using a bridging ligand with a nucleobase moiety, 6-amino-9-β-carboxyethylpurine, and a salen-type manganese(III) dinuclear complex, [Mn(2)(naphtmen)(2)(H(2)O)(2)](ClO(4))(2) (naphtmen(2-) = N,N'-(1,1,2,2-tetramethylethylene)bis(naphthylideneiminato) dianion). In 1 and 2, the carboxylate-bridged Mn(III) dinuclear units are alternately linked by two kinds of weak Mn···O interactions into 1D chains. As a result, canted antiferromagnetic and ferromagnetic interactions are alternately present along the chains, leading to a 1D chain with non-cancellation of anisotropic spins. Since the chains connected via H-bonds between nucleobase moieties are magnetically isolated, both 1 and 2 act as single-chain magnets (SCMs). More importantly, this result shows the smaller canting angles hinder long-range ordering in favor of SCM dynamics.  相似文献

Silver(I) coordination complexes with the versatile and biomimetic ligands 1,2,4-triazolo[1,5-a]pyrimidine (tp), 5,7-dimethyl-1,2,4-triazolo[1,5-a]pyrimidine (dmtp) and 7-amine-1,2,4-triazolo[1,5-a]pyrimidine (7atp) all feature dinuclear [Ag(2)(μ-tp)(2)](2+) building units (where tp is a triazolopyrimidine derivative), which are the preferred motif, independently of the counter-anion used. According to AIM (atoms in molecules) and ELF (electron localization function) analyses, this fact is due to the great stability of these dinuclear species. The complexes structures range from the dinuclear entities [Ag(2)(μ-tp)(2)(CH(3)CN)(4)](BF(4))(2) (1), [Ag(2)(μ-tp)(2)(CH(3)CN)(4)](ClO(4))(2) (2), [Ag(2)(μ-7atp)(2)](ClO(4))(2) (3) and [Ag(2)(μ-dmtp)(2)(CH(3)CN)](PF(6))(ClO(4)) (4) over the 1D polymer chain [Ag(2)(μ-CF(3)SO(3))(2)(μ-dmtp)(2)](n) (5) to the 3D net {[Ag(2)(μ(3)-tp)(2)](PF(6))(2)·~6H(2)O}(n) (6) with NbO topology.  相似文献

Three 5,5'-dicarbamate-2,2'-bipyridine ligands (L = L(1)-L(3)) bearing ethyl, isopropyl or tert-butyl terminals, respectively, on the carbamate substituents were synthesized. Reaction of the ligands L with the transition metal ions M = Fe(2+), Cu(2+), Zn(2+) or Ru(2+) gave the complexes ML(n)X(2)·xG (1-12, n = 1-3; X = Cl, NO(3), ClO(4), BF(4), PF(6), ?SO(4); G = Et(2)O, DMSO, CH(3)OH, H(2)O), of which [Fe(L(2))(3)???SO(4)]·8.5H(2)O (2), [Fe(L(1))(3)???(BF(4))(2)]·2CH(3)OH (7), [Fe(L(2))(3)???(Et(2)O)(2)](BF(4))(2)·2CH(3)OH (8), [ZnCl(2)(L(1))][ZnCl(2)(L(1))(DMSO)]·2DMSO (9), [Zn(L(1))(3)???(NO(3))(2)]·2H(2)O (10), [Zn(L(2))(3)???(ClO(4))(Et(2)O)]ClO(4)·Et(2)O·2CH(3)OH·1.5H(2)O (11), and [Cu(L(1))(2)(DMSO)](ClO(4))(2)·2DMSO (12) were elucidated by single-crystal X-ray crystallography. In the complexes ML(n)X(2)·xG the metal ion is coordinated by n = 1, 2 or 3 chelating bipyridine moieties (with other anionic or solvent ligands for n = 1 and 2) depending on the transition metal and reaction conditions. Interestingly, the carbamate functionalities are involved in hydrogen bonding with various guests (anions or solvents), especially in the tris(chelate) complexes which feature the well-organized C(3)-clefts for effective guest inclusion. Moreover, the anion binding behavior of the pre-organized tris(chelate) complexes was investigated in solution by fluorescence titration using the emissive [RuL(3)](2+) moiety as a probe. The results show that fluorescent recognition of anion in solution can be achieved by the Ru(II) complexes which exhibit good selectivities for SO(4)(2-).  相似文献

Eight oxamato-bridged heterotrinuclear Ni(II)Cu(II)Ni(II) complexes of formula ([Ni(H(2)O)(dpt)](2)(mu-Cu(H(2)O)(opba)))(ClO(4))2 (1), ([Ni(H(2)O)(dien)](2)(mu-Cu(pba)))(ClO(4))(2).6H(2)O (2), ([Ni(H(2)O)(Medpt)](2)(mu-Cu(OHpba)))(ClO(4))(2).4H(2)O (3), ([Ni(H(2)O)(dien)](2)(mu-Cu(Me(2)pba)))(ClO(4))(2).2.5H(2)O (4), ([Ni(H(2)O)(dpt)](2)(mu-Cu(Me(2)pba)))(ClO(4))(2).2H(2)O (5), ([Ni(H(2)O)(dien)](2)(mu-Cu(OHpba)))(ClO(4))(2).4H(2)O (6), ([Ni(2)(dpt)(2)(mu-Cu(H(2)O)(pba))](2)(mu-N(3))(2))Na(2)(ClO(4))(4).6H(2)O (7), and ([Cu(H(2)O)(2)(dpt)Ni(2)(H(2)O)(dpt)(2)](mu-H(2)Me(2)pba(2-)))(ClO(4))(4).3H(2)O (8) in which opba = o-phenylenbis(oxamato), pba = 1,3-propylenebis(oxamato), OHpba = 2-hydroxy-1,3-propylenebis(oxamato), Me(2)pba = 2,2-dimethyl-1,3-propylenbis(oxamato), dpt = 3,3'-diaminodipropylamine, dien = 2,2'-diaminodiethylamine, and Medpt = 3,3'-diamino-N-methyldipropylamine were synthesized and characterized. The crystal structures of 1, 7, and 8 were solved. For complex 1, the trinuclear entities are linked by hydrogen bonds forming a one-dimensional system, and for complex 8, the presence of van der Waals interactions gives a one-dimensional system, too. For complex 7, the trinuclear entities are self-assembled by azido ligands, given a hexanuclear system; each of these hexanuclear entities are self-assembled through two [Na(O)(3)(H(2)O)(3)] octahedral-sharing one-edge entities, given a one-dimensional system. The magnetic behavior of complexes 2-7 was investigated by variable-temperature magnetic susceptibility measurements. Complexes 2-6 exhibit the minimum characteristic of this kind of polymetallic species with an irregular spin state structure. The Jvalue through the oxamato bridge varied between -88 cm(-1) (for 6) and -111.2 cm(-1) (for 5). For complex 7, the values obtained were J(1) = -101.7 cm(-1) (through the oxamato ligand) and J(2) = -3.2 cm(-1) (through the azido ligand).  相似文献

The copper(II) complexes [Cu(4)(1,3-tpbd)(2)(H(2)O)(4)(NO(3))(4)](n)(NO(3))(4n)·13nH(2)O (1), [Cu(4)(1,3-tpbd)(2)(AsO(4))(ClO(4))(3)(H(2)O)](ClO(4))(2)·2H(2)O·0.5CH(3)OH (2), [Cu(4)(1,3-tpbd)(2)(PO(4))(ClO(4))(3)(H(2)O)](ClO(4))(2)·2H(2)O·0.5CH(3)OH (3), [Cu(2)(1,3-tpbd){(PhO)(2)PO(2)}(2)](2)(ClO(4))(4) (4), and [Cu(2)(1,3-tpbd){(PhO)PO(3)}(2)(H(2)O)(0.69)(CH(3)CN)(0.31)](2)(BPh(4))(4)·Et(2)O·CH(3)CN (5) [1,3-tpbd = N,N,N',N'-tetrakis(2-pyridylmethyl)-1,3-benzenediamine, BPh(4)(-) = tetraphenylborate] were prepared and structurally characterized. Analyses of the magnetic data of 2, 3, 4, and [Cu(2)(2,6-tpcd)(H(2)O)Cl](ClO(4))(2) (6) [2,6-tpcd = 2,6-bis[bis(2-pyridylmethyl)amino]-p-cresolate] show the occurrence of weak antiferromagnetic interactions between the copper(II) ions, the bis-terdentate 1,3-tpbd/2,6-tpcd, μ(4)-XO(4) (X = As and P) μ(1,2)-OPO and μ-O(phenolate) appearing as poor mediators of exchange interactions in this series of compounds. Simple orbital symmetry considerations based on the structural knowledge account for the small magnitude of the magnetic couplings found in these copper(II) compounds.  相似文献

The reactions of bidentate diimine ligands (L2) with cationic bis(diimine)[Ru(L)(L1)(CO)Cl]+ complexes (L, L1, L2 are dissimilar diimine ligands), in the presence of trimethylamine-N-oxide (Me3NO) as a decarbonylation reagent, lead to the formation of heteroleptic tris(diimine) ruthenium(II) complexes, [Ru(L)(L1)(L2)]2+. Typically isolated as hexafluorophosphate or perchlorate salts, these complexes were characterised by UV-visible, infrared and mass spectroscopy, cyclic voltammetry, microanalyses and NMR spectroscopy. Single crystal X-ray studies have elucidated the structures of K[Ru(bpy)(phen)(4,4'-Me(2)bpy)](PF(6))(3).1/2H(2)O, [Ru(bpy)(5,6-Me(2)phen)(Hdpa)](ClO(4))(2), [Ru(bpy)(phen)(5,6-Me(2)phen)](ClO(4))(2), [Ru(bpy)(5,6'-Me(2)phen)(4,4'-Me(2)bpy)](PF(6))(2).EtOH, [Ru(4,4'-Me(2)bpy)(phen)(Hdpa)](PF(6))(2).MeOH and [Ru(bpy)(4,4'-Me(2)bpy)(Hdpa)](ClO(4))(2).1/2Hdpa (where Hdpa is di(2-pyridyl)amine). A novel feature of the first complex is the presence of a dinuclear anionic adduct, [K(2)(PF(6))(6)](4-), in which the two potassium centres are bridged by two fluorides from different hexafluorophosphate ions forming a K(2)F(2) bridging unit and by two KFPFK bridging moieties.  相似文献

The fluorinated tris(pyrazolyl)borate ligands [HB(3,5-(CF(3))(2)Pz)(3)](-) and [HB(3-(CF(3))Pz)(3)](-) (where Pz = pyrazolyl) have been synthesized as their sodium salts from the corresponding pyrazoles and NaBH(4) in high yield. These sodium complexes and the related [HB(3,5-(CF(3))(2)Pz)(3)]K(DMAC) were used as ligand transfer agents in the preparation of the copper and silver complexes [HB(3,5-(CF(3))(2)Pz)(3)]Cu(DMAC), [HB(3,5-(CF(3))(2)Pz)(3)]CuPPh(3), [HB(3,5-(CF(3))(2)Pz)(3)]AgPPh(3), and [HB(3-(CF(3))Pz)(3)]AgPPh(3). Metal complexes of the fluorinated [HB(3,5-(CF(3))(2)Pz)(3)](-) ligand have highly electrophilic metal sites relative to their hydrocarbon analogs. This is evident from the formation of stable adducts with neutral oxygen donors such as H(2)O, dimethylacetamide, or thf. Furthermore, the metal compounds derived from fluorinated ligands show fairly long-range coupling between fluorines of the trifluoromethyl groups and the hydrogen, silver, or phosphorus. The solid state structures show that the fluorines are in close proximity to these nuclei, thus suggesting a possible through-space coupling mechanism. Crystal structures of the sodium adducts exhibit significant metal-fluorine interactions. The treatment of [HB(3,5-(CF(3))(2)Pz)(3)]Na(H(2)O) with Et(4)NBr led to [Et(4)N][HB(3,5-(CF(3))(2)Pz)(3)], which contains a well-separated [Et(4)N](+) cation and the [HB(3,5-(CF(3))(2)Pz)(3)](-) anion in the solid state. X-ray crystal structures are reported for the following complexes: [Ru(2)Cl(3)(tacn)(2)](PF(6))(2).4H(2)O (tacn = 1,4,7-triazacyclononane), monoclinic P2(1)/n, Z = 4, a = 14.418(8) ?, b = 11.577(3) ?, c = 18.471(1) ?, beta = 91.08(5) degrees, V = 3082 ?(3), R(R(w)) = 0.039 (0.043) using 4067 unique data with I > 2.5sigma(I) at 293 K; [Ru(2)Br(3)(tacn)(2)](PF(6))(2).2H(2)O, monoclinic P2(1)/a, Z = 4, a = 13.638(4) ?, b = 12.283(4) ?, c = 18.679(6) ?, beta = 109.19(2) degrees, V = 3069.5 ?(3), R(R(w)) = 0.052 (0.054) using 3668 unique data with I > 2.5sigma(I) at 293 K; [Ru(2)I(3)(tacn)(2)](PF(6))(2), cubic P2(1)/3, Z = 3, a = 14.03(4) ?, beta = 90.0 degrees, V = 2763.1(1) ?(3), R (R(w)) = 0.022 (0.025) using 896 unique data with I > 2.5sigma(I) at 293 K. All of the cations have cofacial bioctahedral geometries, although [Ru(2)Cl(3)(tacn)(2)](PF(6))(2).4H(2)O, [Ru(2)Br(3)(tacn)(2)](PF(6))(2).2H(2)O, and [Ru(2)I(3)(tacn)(2)](PF(6))(2) are not isomorphous. Average bond lengths and angles for the cofacial bioctahedral cores, [N(3)Ru(&mgr;-X)(3)RuN(3)](2+), are compared to those for the analogous ammine complexes [Ru(2)Cl(3)(NH(3))(6)](BPh(4))(2) and [Ru(2)Br(3)(NH(3))(6)](ZnBr(4)). The Ru-Ru distances in the tacn complexes are longer than those in the equivalent ammine complexes, probably as a result of steric interactions.  相似文献

Two new nickel(II) end-to-end azido-bridged compounds, cis-catena-[NiL(2)(&mgr;-N(3))](n)()(ClO(4))(n)().nH(2)O (1) and [Ni(2)L(4)(&mgr;-N(3))(2)](PF(6))(2) (2), were synthesized and characterized; L is 2-(aminoethyl)pyridine. The crystal structures of 1 and 2 were solved. Complex 1: monoclinic system, space group P2(1)/a, a = 8.637(2) ?, b = 18.9995(7) ?, c = 12.3093(7) ?, beta = 105.92(2) degrees, Z = 4. Complex 2: triclinic system, space group P&onemacr;, a = 9.139(7) ?, b = 10.124(3) ?, c = 12.024(2) ?, alpha = 70.407(14) degrees, beta = 84.19(2) degrees, gamma = 67.67(4) degrees, Z = 1. In the two complexes the nickel atom is situated in a similarly distorted octahedral environment. The two complexes are different; 1 is a one-dimensional helicoidal complex with the two L ligands and the two end-to-end azido bridges in a cis arrangement while complex 2 is a dinuclear system with two end-to-end azido bridges, indicating the extreme importance of the counteranion present (ClO(4)(-) for 1 and PF(6)(-) for 2). The magnetic properties of the two compounds were studied by susceptibility measurements vs temperature. The chi(M) vs T plot for 1 shows the shape for a weakly antiferromagnetically coupled nickel(II) one-dimensional complex without a maximum until 4 K. In contrast, for complex 2 the shape of the chi(M) vs T curve shows a maximum near 40 K, indicating medium antiferromagnetic coupling. From the spin Hamiltonian -J(ij)()S(i)()S(j)(), J values for 1 and 2 were less than -1 and -29.1 cm(-)(1), respectively. The magnetic behavior for 1 and 2 may be explained in terms of the overlap between magnetic orbitals, taking into account the torsion of the Ni(II) atoms and azido-bridging ligands in the two structures.  相似文献

The synthesis and characterization of three dinuclear copper(II) complexes and one mixed-valence tetranuclear cluster with the asymmetric imidazole-containing ligand bis(1,1'-imidazole-2-yl)(4-imidazole-4(5)-yl)-2-azabutane (biib) are described. X-ray crystallographic parameters for the copper complexes are as follows. [Cu(2)(biib)(2)(BF(4))(2)](BF(4))(2)(H(2)O)(4): triclinic, space group P&onemacr;, a = 10.178(1) ?, b = 9.4881(9) ?, c = 11.037(1) ?, alpha = 95.130(10) degrees, beta = 112.20(1) degrees, gamma = 92.142(9) degrees, and Z = 1. [Cu(2)(biib)(2)(NO(3))(2)](NO(3))(2)(H(2)O)(4): monoclinic, space group &Pmacr;2(1)/n, a = 9.207(6) ?, b = 17.0516(6) ?, c = 12.6107(7) ?, beta = 109.82(1) degrees, and Z = 2. [Cu(2)(biib)(2)(CuBr(3))(2)]: monoclinic, space group P2(1)/c, a = 11.583(2) ?, b = 11.864(2) ?, c = 16.070(2) ?, beta = 112.459(12) degrees, and Z = 2. The two Cu(II) ions in all four complexes are coordinated in a square-pyramidal geometry by three imidazole nitrogens and one amine nitrogen donor in the equatorial plane, and each copper ion is weakly coordinated at the axial position by respectively a tetrafluoroborate, a perchlorate, a nitrate, or a tribromocuprate(I) anion. By comparison of the structural data of the four complexes a relationship has been established between the donor strength of the anion and some structural features, like the Cu(II)-Cu(II) distance, of the dinuclear Cu(II)-Cu(II) unit in the four complexes. Single-crystal EPR spectra of [Cu(2)(biib)(2)(BF(4))(2)](BF(4))(2)(H(2)O)(4) were recorded at room temperature at X-band frequencies. The triplet spectra have been fit with nonparallel g and D tensors, whose principle values are as follows: g(xx)() = 2.022(8), g(yy)() = 2.060(7), g(zz)() = 2.211(8), D(x)()(')(x)()(') = -0.0182(9) cm(-)(1), D(y)()(')(y)()(') = -0.081(6) cm(-)(1), D(z)()(')(z)()(') = 0.0264(7) cm(-)(1). The compounds were further characterized and studied by ligand field and by frozen-solution and polycrystalline powder EPR spectroscopy. EPR spectra recorded at 77 K of frozen solutions of the perchlorate complex show that upon dilution in methanol the dinuclear complex reacts to form a mononuclear species.  相似文献

A series of novel organically templated metal sulfates, [C(5)H(14)N(2)][M(II)(H(2)O)(6)](SO(4))(2) with (M(II) = Mn (1), Fe (2), Co (3) and Ni (4)), have been successfully synthesized by slow evaporation and characterized by single-crystal X-ray diffraction as well as with infrared spectroscopy, thermogravimetric analysis and magnetic measurements. All compounds were prepared using a racemic source of the 2-methylpiperazine and they crystallized in the monoclinic systems, P2(1)/n for (1, 3) and P2(1)/c for (2,4). Crystal data are as follows: [C(5)H(14)N(2)][Mn(H(2)O)(6)](SO(4))(2), a = 6.6385(10) ?, b = 11.0448(2) ?, c = 12.6418(2) ?, β = 101.903(10)°, V = 906.98(3) ?(3), Z = 2; [C(5)H(14)N(2)][Fe(H(2)O)(6)](SO(4))(2), a = 10.9273(2) ?, b = 7.8620(10) ?, c = 11.7845(3) ?, β = 116.733(10)°, V = 904.20(3) ?(3), Z = 2; [C(5)H(14)N(2)][Co(H(2)O)(6)](SO(4))(2), a = 6.5710(2) ?, b = 10.9078(3) ?, c = 12.5518(3) ?, β = 101.547(2)°, V = 881.44(4) ?(3), Z = 2; [C(5)H(14)N(2)][Ni(H(2)O)(6)](SO(4))(2), a = 10.8328(2) ?, b = 7.8443(10) ?, c = 11.6790(2) ?, β = 116.826(10)°, V = 885.63(2) ?(3), Z = 2. The three-dimensional structure networks for these compounds consist of isolated [M(II)(H(2)O)(6)](2+) and [C(5)H(14)N(2)](2+) cations and (SO(4))(2-) anions linked by hydrogen-bonds only. The use of racemic 2-methylpiperazine results in crystallographic disorder of the amines and creation of inversion centers. The magnetic measurements indicate that the Mn complex (1) is paramagnetic, while compounds 2, 3 and 4, (M(II) = Fe, Co, Ni respectively) exhibit single ion anisotropy.  相似文献

Photolysis of a series of octahedral monoazido complexes of the type [LM(III)(didentate ligand)(N(3))](n)(+)X(n) of vanadium(III), chromium(III), and manganese(III) in the solid state or in solution yields quantitatively the corresponding six-coordinate nitrido complexes [LM(V)(didentate ligand)(N)](n)(+)X(n) and 1 equiv of dinitrogen. L represents the macrocycle 1,4,7-triazacyclononane or its N-methylated derivative (L'), the didentate ligands are pentane-2,4-dionate (acac), 2,2,6,6-tetramethylheptane-3,5-dionate (tacac), picolinate (pic), phenanthroline (phen), and oxalate (ox), and X(-) represents perchlorate or hexafluorophosphate. The following nitrido complexes were prepared: [LV(V)(N)(acac)](ClO(4)) (6), [LCr(V)(N)(acac)](ClO(4)) (13), [LCr(V)(N)(tacac)](ClO(4)) (14), [LCr(V)(N)(pic)](ClO(4)) (15), [LCr(V)(N)(phen)](ClO(4))(2) (16), [LCr(V)(N)(ox)] (19), [L'Mn(V)(N)(acac)]PF(6) (21). Photolysis of [LCr(III)(N(3))(ox)] (17) in the solid state produces the &mgr;-nitrido-bridged mixed-valent species [L(2)Cr(2)(ox)(2)(&mgr;-N)](N(3)) (18). The structures of the precursor complex [L'Mn(acac)(N(3))]BPh(4) (20), of 13, and of [L'Mn(V)(N)(acac)]BPh(4) (21) have been determined by X-ray crystallography. Complex 13 crystallizes in the orthorhombic space group Pnma, with cell constants a = 27.187(5) ?, b = 9.228(2) ?, c = 7.070(1) ?, V = 1773.7(6) ?(3), and Z = 4; complex 20 crystallizes in the triclinic space group P&onemacr; with a = 14.769(5) ?, b = 16.83(1) ?, c = 16.96(1) ?, alpha = 108.19(5) degrees, beta = 105.06(4) degrees, gamma = 99.78(4) degrees, V = 3719(2) ?(3), and Z = 4; and complex 21 crystallizes in the monoclinic space group P2(1)/n with a = 10.443(3) ?, b = 16.035(4) ?, c = 21.463(5) ?, beta = 95.76(1) degrees, V = 3575.9(14) ?(3), and Z = 4. The Cr(V)&tbd1;N and Mn(V)&tbd1;N distances are short at 1.575(9) and 1.518(4) ?, respectively, and indicate a metal-to-nitrogen triple bond.  相似文献

The syntheses, structural determinations and magnetic studies of tetranuclear M(II)Ln(III) complexes (M = Ni, Zn; Ln = Y, Gd, Dy) involving an in situ compartmentalized schiff base ligand HL derived from the condensation of o-vanillin and 2-hydrazinopyridine as main ligand are described. Single-crystal X-ray diffraction reveals that all complexes are closely isostructural, with the central core composed of distorted {M(2)Ln(2)O(4)} cubes of the formulas [Ni(2)Ln(2)(μ(3)-OH)(2)(L)(2)(OAc)(4)(H(2)O)(3.5)](ClO(4))(2)·3H(2)O (Ln = Y 1 and Gd 2), [Ni(2)Dy(2)(μ(3)-OH)(2)(L)(2)(OAc)(5)(EtOH)(H(2)O)(1.5)](ClO(4))·EtOH·H(2)O (3) and [Zn(2)Ln(2)(μ(3)-OH)(2)(L)(2)(OAc)(5)(EtOH)(H(2)O)](ClO(4))·2EtOH·1.5H(2)O (Gd 4 and Dy 5). The Ln(III) ions are linked by two hydroxo bridges and each M(II) ion is also involved in a double phenoxo-hydroxo bridge with the two Ln(III) ions, so that each hydroxo group is triply linked to the two Ln(III) and one M(II) ions. The magnetic properties of all complexes have been investigated. Ni(2)Y(2) (1) has a ferromagnetic Ni(II)Ni(II) interaction. A weak ferromagnetic Ni(II)Ln(III) interaction is observed in the Ni(2)Ln(2) complexes (Ln = Gd 2, Dy 3), along with a weak antiferromagnetic Ln(III)Ln(III) interaction, a D zero-field splitting term for the nickel ion and a ferromagnetic Ni(II)Ni(II) interaction. The isomorphous Zn(2)Ln(2) (Ln = Gd 4, Dy 5) does confirm the presence of a weak antiferromagnetic Ln(III)Ln(III) interaction. The Ni(2)Dy(2) complex (3) does not behave as a SMM, which could result from a subtractive combination of the Dy and Ni anisotropies and an increased transverse anisotropy, leading to large tunnel splittings and quantum tunneling of magnetization. On the other hand, Zn(2)Dy(2) (5) exhibits a possible SMM behavior, where its slow relaxation of magnetization is probably attributed to the presence of the anisotropic Dy(III) ions.  相似文献

Reaction of iron salts with three tripodal imidazole ligands, H(3)(1), H(3)(2), H(3)(3), formed from the condensation of tris(2-aminoethyl)amine (tren) with 3 equiv of an imidazole carboxaldehyde yielded eight new cationic iron(III) and iron(II), [FeH(3)L](3+or2+), and neutral iron(III), FeL, complexes. All complexes were characterized by EA(CHN), IR, UV, M?ssbauer, mass spectral techniques and cyclic voltammetry. Structures of three of the complexes, Fe(2).3H(2)O (C(18)H(27)FeN(10)O(3), a = b = c = 20.2707(5), cubic, I3d, Z = 16), Fe(3).4.5H(2)O (C(18)H(30)FeN(10)O(4.5), a = 20.9986(10), b = 11.7098(5), c = 19.9405(9), beta = 109.141(1), monoclinic, P2(1)/c), Z = 8), and [FeH(3)(3)](ClO(4))(2).H(2)O (C(18)H(26)Cl(2)FeN(10)O(9), a = 9.4848(4), b = 23.2354(9), c = 12.2048(5), beta = 111.147(1) degrees, monoclinic, P2(1)/n, Z = 4) were determined at 100 K. The structures are similar to one another and feature an octahedral iron with facial coordination of imidazoles and imine nitrogen atoms. The iron(III) complexes of the deprotonated ligands, Fe(1), Fe(2), and Fe(3), are low-spin while the protonated iron(III) cationic complexes, [FeH(3)(1)](ClO(4))(3) and [FeH(3)(2)](ClO(4))(3), are high-spin and spin-crossover, respectively. The iron(II) cationic complexes, [FeH(3)(1)]S(4)O(6), [FeH(3)(2)](ClO(4))(2), [FeH(3)(3)](ClO(4))(2), and [FeH(3)(3)][B(C(6)H(5))(4)](2) exhibit spin-crossover behavior. Cyclic voltammetric measurements on the series of complexes show that complete deprotonation of the ligands produces a negative shift in the Fe(III)/Fe(II) reduction potential of 981 mV on average. Deprotonation in air of either cationic iron(II) or iron(III) complexes, [FeH(3)L](3+or2+), yields the neutral iron(III) complex, FeL. The process is reversible for Fe(3), where protonation of Fe(3) yields [FeH(3)(3)](2+).  相似文献

Copper(II) and V(IV)O complexes of an open chain (1:2) Schiff-base ligand (H(2)L1), derived by the template condensation of diaminomaleonitrile (DMN) and salicylaldehyde, and dicopper(II) complexes of (2:2) macrocyclic Schiff-base ligands derived by template condensation of diformylphenols and diaminomaleonitrile, have been synthesized and studied. Structures have been established for the first time for mononuclear Cu(II) and V(IV)O derivatives of the open chain ligand H(2)L1 (1:2), a dinuclear macrocyclic Cu(II) complex derived from a 2:2 macrocyclic ligand (H(2)M1), and the half-condensed 1:1 salicylaldehyde ligand (H(2)L2). [Cu(L1)] (1) (L1 = C(18)H(10)N(4)O(2)) crystallized in the monoclinic system, space group P2(1)/n (No. 14), with a = 11.753(6) ?, b = 7.708(5) ?, c = 16.820(1) ?, and Z = 4. [VO(L1)(DMSO] (2) crystallized in the orthorhombic system, space group Pbca (No. 61), with a = 22.534(9) ?, b = 23.31(1) ?, c = 7.694(5) ?, and Z = 8. H(2)L2 (C(18)H(8)N(4)O) (3) crystallized in the monoclinic system, space group P2(1)/c (No. 14), with a = 13.004(6) ?, b = 11.441(7) ?, c = 7.030(4) ?, and Z = 4. [Cu(2)(M3)](CH(3)COCH(3)) (4) (M3 = C(32)H(24)N(8)O(4)) crystallized in the monoclinic system, space group C2/c (No. 15), with a = 38.33(2) ?, b = 8.059(4) ?, c = 22.67(2) ?, and Z = 8. [Cu(L3)(DMSO)] (5) (L3 = C(20)H(14)N(2)O(4)) crystallized in the triclinic system, space group P&onemacr; (No. 2), with a = 10.236(4) ?, b = 13.514(4) ?, c = 9.655(4) ?, and Z = 2. 4 results from the unique addition of two acetone molecules to two imine sites in [Cu(2)(M1)](ClO(4))(2) (M1 = 2:2 macrocyclic ligand derived from template condensation of DMN and 2,6-diformyl-4-methylphenol). 4 has extremely small Cu-OPh-Cu bridge angles (92.0, 92.8 degrees ), well below the expected lower limit for antiferromagnetic behavior, but is still antiferromagnetically coupled (-2J = 25.2 cm(-)(1)). This behavior is associated with a possible antiferromagnetic exchange term that involves the conjugated framework of the macrocyclic ligand itself. The ligand L3 in 5 results from hydrolysis of M1 on recrystallization of [Cu(2)(M1)](ClO(4))(2) from undried dimethyl sulfoxide.  相似文献
