This article provides a bibliographic listing of published journal papers concerned with adsorptive separations during 1992–1993. The references are taken from the 40 most important chemical engineering journals. This paper provides an update to the literature as provided in previous bibliographic papers [1, 2]. These previous papers also included membrane-type separations, however due to the number of papers and the diversity of membrane and associated processes, this material is to be published separately [3].Other bibliographic papers covering the more traditional unit operations, e.g. distillation [4], and equilibrium-staged separations in general [5, 6] have been published. Liquid-liquid extraction [7] is the subject of a separate bibliography (for 1992–1993), due to the number of publications on this topic. A bibliography detailing supercritical extraction from 1980–1993 is also to be published separately due to the current interest in this relatively new technology [8]. A complete bibliography of the chemical engineering journal literature from 1967–1993 has been published by the author [9–12]. An earlier bibliography [13] provides access to the literature prior to 1967.  相似文献

Development of techniques for the analysis of the content of individual cells represents an important direction in modern bioanalytical chemistry. While the analysis of chromosomes, organelles, or location of selected proteins has been traditionally the domain of microscopic techniques, the advances in miniaturized analytical systems bring new possibilities for separations and detections of molecules inside the individual cells including smaller molecules such as hormones or metabolites. It should be stressed that the field of single cell analysis is very broad, covering advanced optical, electrochemical and mass spectrometry instrumentation, sensor technology and separation techniques. The number of papers published on single cell analysis has reached several hundred in recent years. Thus a complete literature coverage is beyond the limits of a journal article. The following text provides a critical overview of some of the latest developments with the main focus on mass spectrometry, microseparation methods, electrophoresis in capillaries and microfluidic devices and respective detection techniques for performing single cell analyses.  相似文献

Journal of Sol-Gel Science and Technology started as unique journal devoted to sol-gel science and technology in 1993. First, papers so far published in the Journal were intoduced. It was shown that the titles of invited papers and special issues show the broadening of the sol-gel area. Second, the change of the research tendency was conjectured from the four proceedings volumes. It was shown that the increase of importance of a particular class of materials and appearance of emergent materials are reflected in the title of the paper.  相似文献

A scientometric analysis of the datasets has been performed using Hirsch-type statistics. A comprehensive bibliography of the citing papers is presented.  相似文献

Microchips for analytical purposes have attracted great attention over the last 20 years. In the present review, we focus on the most recent development of microchips for electrophoretic separation of proteins. This review starts with a short recalling about the microchips covering the basic microchip layout for CE and the commercial chips and microchip platforms. A short paragraph is dedicated to the surface treatment of microchips, which is of paramount importance in protein analysis. One section is dedicated to on-line sample pretreatment in microchips and summarizes different strategies to pre-concentrate or to purify proteins from complex matrixes. Most of the common modes used for CE of proteins have already been adapted to the chip format, while multidimensional approaches are still in progress. The different routes to achieve detection in microchip are also presented with a special attention to derivatization or labeling of proteins. Finally, several recent applications are mentioned. They highlight the great potential of electrophoretic separations of proteins in numerous fields such as biological, pharmaceutical or agricultural and food analysis. A bibliography with 151 references is provided covering papers published from 2000 to the early 2007.  相似文献

The literatures of two antispastic drugs, baclofen and dantrolene sodium, were studied bibliometrically for their first decade and were found to be generally similar. Baclofen had 93 papers and dantrolene sodium had 70. About a quarter of the baclofen papers were in a foreign language, whereas almost all dantrolene sodium papers were in English. Baclofen literature had a lower nonscholarly content, but the scholarly increase, 5%, was the same for both. Both drugs had an average of 12 references per paper. The literatures of both drugs had a similar degree of internal cohesiveness; almost half of their papers referred to other papers in the same drug collection. The first human paper for baclofen was the second published; for dantrolene sodium, it was the eleventh. The distribution of journals carrying papers on each of these drugs followed Bradford's law. Two authors per paper was the average for each drug. The productivity of authors approximated Lotka's law for both drugs. About two-thirds of the papers of both drugs had a drug-word in their titles. The literature of both drugs contained about 15% legendary papers, typical of clinical pharmacology. The most intense papers, 15 for baclofen and 11 for dantrolene sodium, were identified, using citation, bibliographic coupling, and co-citation frequencies. A generalization predicts what might be expected from the literature of future antispastic drugs.  相似文献

A novel membrane production technique, rolltrusion, has been developed for the preparation of permselective polymeric membranes for both gas and vapor separations and pervaporation applications. Pinhole-free thin films with a regulated three-dimensional morphology comprising crystalline and amorphous regions have been produced with improved mechanical properties in three dimensions. Because rolltrusion is a solid-state processing technique, it is not restricted by solubility constraints inherent in the common solvent-based thinfilm production techniques. Consequently it can be extended to include commercially available engineering plastics that have not been used as membranes previously because of their limited solvent solubility. These polymers are interesting because of their applicability to temperatures in excess of 200 to 300°C in harsh chemical environments, compared with the ca. 150°C ceiling usually encountered in the most rugged of solvent-cast polymers. In the first part of this series we detail an automated experimental permeation apparatus that permits testing of both single-component and multicomponent gases and vapors over a temperature range of ?73 to 273°C. Currently, modifications to the permeation cell are underway to permit pervaporation studies in the apparatus. To illustrate the operation of the apparatus, and to some degree the effect of rolltrusion processing, experimental permeability, diffusivity, solubility, and actual gas separation factors (via gas chromatography) are detailed for several light gases in rolltruded isotactic poly(propylene) (iPP) and in the thermally and chemically resistant thermoplastic, poly(ether ether ketone) (PEEK). Permeation temperatures to at least 225°C have been studied using PEEK, representing the first published experimental permeability and gas-separation results for such engineering polymers at temperatures above 200 °C. © 1992 John Wiley & Sons, Inc.  相似文献
