Ni(OH)2 nanoparticles were decorated on mesoporous carbon spheres (MPCS) using a simple hard template method. The MPCS were derived from sodium carboxymethyl cellulose. As-prepared MPCS/Ni(OH)2 nanocomposites were used as electrode materials for supercapacitors. These composites exhibited better electrochemical properties than a pristine mesoporous carbon sphere owing to the synergistic effect. However, the increase in Ni(OH)2 is not proportional to the electrochemical performance improvement. The addition of an optimal amount of Ni(OH)2, typically 1:20 by weight (MPCS:NiCl2·6H2O), showed an excellent specific capacitance of 1338.296 F g?1 at a scan rate of 5 mV s?1. These encouraging results indicate excellent potential for the development of highly capacitive energy storage devices for practical applications.  相似文献

Different SnO2 nanostructures (SnO2Ns) were directly electrodeposited on the surface of anodized copper (Cu) substrates via the potentiostatic electrodeposition method with addition of supporting electrolytes. The effects of the supporting electrolytes and the electrodeposition parameters on the evolution of nanostructures and on the electrochemical properties of the SnO2Ns were systematically investigated using field emission scanning electron microscope (FESEM) and electrochemical methods including cyclic voltammetry (CV) and chronoamperometry (CA). The results confirmed that SnO2Ns exhibit alloying/de-alloying reactions with Li+ ions versus Ag/AgCl in aqueous electrolyte solution (LiOH·H2O and Li2CO3). The super capacitor performance of the SnO2Ns was investigated in 0.5-M Na2SO4 aqueous solution, and the highest specific capacitance of 110 Fg?1 at a scan rate of 5 mV s?1 was obtained for SnO2 microspheres made up of nanocubes. Our study shows that supporting electrolytes and electrodeposition parameters play the significant role in the growth of SnO2Ns and its electrochemical properties.  相似文献

Polyaniline (PANI) electrode materials doped with sulfuric acid (H2SO4) were prepared by cyclic voltammetry (CV) method in different reaction conditions. The structure and morphology of PANI samples were characterized by Fourier transform infrared spectroscopy and scanning electron microscope. The electrochemical properties of PANI samples were studied by CV, galvanostatic charge/discharge, and electrochemical impedance spectroscopy tests. Additionally, the effects of reaction conditions including aniline concentration, voltammetry scan rate, and deposition time on the morphology and properties of PANI samples were investigated in detail. The results showed that the PANI synthesized under the optimal conditions of 0.2 mol?L?1 aniline, scan rate 20 mV?s?1, and deposition time 50 min is in the form of nanorods with a cross-linked network structure. It exhibits an outstanding capacitive performance with good cycle stability and high rate performance. Besides, the specific capacitance of PANI is as high as 757 F?g?1.  相似文献

Nanocrystalline Li2TiO3 was successfully synthesized using solid-state reaction method. The microstructural and electrochemical properties of the prepared material are systematically characterized. The X-ray diffraction pattern of the prepared material exhibits predominant (002) orientation related to the monoclinic structure with C2/c space group. HRTEM images and SAED analysis reveal the well-developed nanostructured particles with average size of ~40 nm. The electrochemical properties of the prepared sample are carried out using cyclic voltammetry (CV) and chronopotentiometry (CP) using Pt//Li2TiO3 cell in 1 mol L?1 Li2SO4 aqueous electrolyte. The Li2TiO3 electrode exhibits a specific discharge capacity of 122 mAh g?1; it can be used as anode in Li battery within the potential window 0.0–1.0 V, while investigated as a supercapacitor electrode, it delivers a specific capacitance of 317 F g?1 at a current density of 1 mA g?1 within the potential range ?0.4 to +0.4 V. The demonstration of both anodic and supercapacitor behavior concludes that the nanocrystalline Li2TiO3 is a suitable electrode material for supercapattery application.  相似文献

Al-doped ZnO (AZO) was sputtered on the surface of LiNi1/3Co1/3Mn1/3O2 (NCM) thin film electrode via radio frequency magnetron sputtering, which was demonstrated to be a useful approach to enhance electrochemical performance of thin film electrode. The structure and morphology of the prepared electrodes were characterized by X-ray diffraction, scanning electron microscopy, energy dispersive spectrometer, and transmission electron microscopy techniques. The results clearly demonstrated that NCM thin film showed a strong (104) preferred orientation and AZO was uniformly covered on the surface of NCM electrode. After 200 cycles at 50 μA μm?1 cm?2, the NCM/AZO-60s electrode delivered highest discharge capacity (78.1 μAh μm?1 cm?2) compared with that of the NCM/AZO-120s electrode (62.4 μAh μm?1 cm?2) and the bare NCM electrode (22.3 μAh μm?1 cm?2). In addition, the rate capability of the NCM/AZO-60s electrode was superior to the NCM/AZO-120s and bare NCM electrodes. The improved electrochemical performance can be ascribed to the appropriate thickness of the AZO coating layer, which not only acted as HF scavenger to keep a stable electrode/electrolyte interface but also reduced the charge transfer resistance during cycling.  相似文献

A novel approach of double hydroxide-mediated synthesis of nickel cobaltite (NiCo2O4) electro-active material by the hydrothermal method is reported. The obtained NiCo2O4 electro-active material displays the spinel cubic phase and hexagonal-like morphology. Thermogravimetry analysis confirms the thermal stability of the electrode material. The functional groups and phase formation of NiCo2O4 have been confirmed by FT-IR and Raman spectral analysis. The modified NiCo2O4 electrode exhibits the highest specific capacitance of 767.5 F g?1 at a current density of 0.5 A g?1 in 3 M KOH electrolyte and excellent cyclic stability (94 % capacitance retention after 1000 cycles at a high current density of 5 A g?1). The excellent electrochemical performance of the electrode is attributed to the hexagonal-like morphology, which contributes to the rich surface electro-active sites and easy transport pathway for the ions during the electrochemical reaction. The attractive Faradic behavior of NiCo2O4 electrode has been ascribed to the redox contribution of Ni2+/Ni3+ and Co2+/Co3+ metal species in the alkaline medium. The symmetrical two-electrode cell has been fabricated using the NiCo2O4 electro-active material with excellent electrochemical properties for supercapacitor applications.  相似文献

In order to establish the mechanism and to determine the parameters of lithium transport in electrodes based on lithium-vanadium phosphate (Li3V2(PO4)3), the kinetic model was designed and experimentally tested for joint analysis of electrochemical impedance (EIS), cyclic voltammetry (CV), pulse chronoamperometry (PITT), and chronopotentiometry (GITT) data. It comprises the stages of sequential lithium-ion transfer in the surface layer and the bulk of electrode material’s particles, including accumulation of lithium in the bulk. Transfer processes at both sites are of diffusion nature and differ significantly, both by temporal (characteristic time, τ) and kinetic (diffusion coefficient, D) constants. PITT data analysis provided the following D values for the predominantly lithiated and delithiated forms of the intercalation material: 10?9 and 3 × 10?10 cm2 s?1, respectively, for transfer in the bulk and 10?12 cm2 s?1 for transfer in the thin surface layer of material’s particles. D values extracted from GITT data are in consistency with those obtained from PITT: 3.5–5.8 × 10?10 and 0.9–5 × 10?10 cm2 s?1 (for the current and currentless mode, respectively). The D values obtained from EIS data were 5.5 × 10?10 cm2 s?1 for lithiated (at a potential of 3.5 V) and 2.3 × 10?9 cm2 s?1 for delithiated (at a potential 4.1 V) forms. CV evaluation gave close results: 3 × 10?11 cm2 s?1 for anodic and 3.4 × 10?11 cm2 s?1 for cathodic processes, respectively. The use of complex experimental measurement procedure for combined application of the EIS, PITT, and GITT methods allowed to obtain thermodynamic E,c dependence of Li3V2(PO4)3 electrode, which is not affected by polarization and heterogeneity of lithium concentration in the intercalate.  相似文献

Pure LiMn2O4 samples with high crystallinity (LMO-1# and LMO-2#) were successfully synthesized by a facile hydrothermal method using δ-MnO2 nanoflowers and α-MnO2 nanowires as the precursors. The as-prepared samples were analyzed by XRD, SEM, and Brunauer-Emmett-Teller (BET), and their capacitive properties were investigated by cyclic voltammetry, electrochemical impedance spectroscopy, and galvanostatic charge/discharge test. Two LiMn2O4 samples showed good capacitive behavior in aqueous hybrid supercapacitors. AC//LMO-1# and AC//LMO-2# delivered the initial specific capacitance of 45.4 and 40.7 F g?1 in 1 M Li2SO4 electrolyte at a current density of 200 mA g?1 in the potential range of 0~1.5 V, respectively. After 1000 cycles, the capacitance retention was 97.6% for AC//LMO-1# and 93.7% for AC//LMO-2#. Obviously, LMO-1# from δ-MnO2 nanoflowers exhibited higher specific capacitance and better cycling performance than LMO-2#, so LMO-1# was more suitable as the positive electrode material in hybrid supercapacitors.  相似文献

Novel solid polymer electrolytes, poly(vinylalcohol)-lithium perchlorate (PVA-LiClO4) and PVA-LiClO4-sulfolane are prepared by solvent casting method. The experimental results show that sulfolane addition enhances the ionic conductivity of PVA-LiClO4 complex by three orders. The maximum ionic conductivity of 1.14 ± 0.20 × 10?2 S cm?1 is achieved for 10 mol% sulfolane-added electrolyte at ambient temperature. Polymer-salt-plasticizer interactions are analyzed through attenuated total reflectance-Fourier transform infrared (ATR-FTIR) spectroscopy. Lithium ion transference number is found by AC impedance spectroscopy combined with DC potentiostatic measurements. The results confirm that sulfolane improves the Li+ transference number of PVA-LiClO4 complex to 0.77 from 0.40. The electrochemical stability window of electrolytes is determined by cyclic voltammetry (CV). The broad electrochemical stability window of 5.45 V vs. lithium is obtained for maximum conducting electrolyte. All-solid-state cell is fabricated using maximum conducting electrolyte, and electrochemical impedance study is carried out. It reveals that electrolyte interfacial resistance with Li electrode is very low. The use of PVA-LiClO4-sulfolane as a viable electrolyte material for high-voltage lithium ion batteries is ensured.  相似文献

A new series of nanocomposite polymer electrolyte (NCPE) system comprising of polyethylene oxide (PEO) and polypropylene glycol (PPG) as blended polymer host, zinc trifluoromethanesulfonate [Zn(CF3SO3)2] as dopant salt and nanocrystalline alumina [Al2O3] as filler was prepared by solution casting technique. The present system consisting of five different compositions of 87.5 wt% (PEO:PPG)–12.5 wt% Zn(CF3SO3)2 + x wt% Al2O3 [where x = 1, 3, 5, 7 and 9, respectively] has been thoroughly characterized by various analytical techniques such as electrical impedance spectroscopy, X-ray diffraction (XRD) studies, differential scanning calorimetry (DSC), scanning electron microscopic (SEM) analysis and linear sweep voltammetry (LSV). The maximum room temperature ionic conductivity exhibited by the NCPE was found to be 2.1 × 10?4 S cm?1 for 3 wt% loading of Al2O3 which is an order higher than that of the optimized filler-free zinc salt doped polymer electrolyte system at 298 K. The evidence of a decrease in the degree of crystallinity responsible for the enhanced conductivity was revealed by the XRD data and further confirmed by DSC and SEM results. Moreover, the electrochemical stability window of the highly conducting electrolyte matrix has been experimentally determined by linear sweep voltammetry and found to be 3.6 V which is fairly adequate for the construction of zinc primary batteries as well as zinc-based rechargeable batteries at ambient conditions.  相似文献

A crystalline structure of LiCoO2 sample was synthesized at different stirring times via sol-gel method. This was followed by the electrochemical characterization of LiCoO2 in 5 M LiNO3 aqueous electrolyte. The hexagonal LiCoO2 was stirred for 30 h produced the highest peak intensity and smallest particle size. A morphological analysis showed the particle size distribution within the range of 0.32–0.47 μm. At lower scan rates of cyclic voltammetry, three pairs of redox peaks at ESCE = 0.81/0.65, 0.89/0.83 and 1.01/0.95 V were observed. The peak separation was proportionally consistent with Li+ diffusion coefficients of 7.42 × 10?8 cm2 s?1 (anodic) and 3.59 × 10?8 cm2 s?1 (cathodic). For specific capacity, the LiCoO2 demonstrated a higher initial specific capacity (115.49 mA h g?1). A small difference (1.92 Ω) in the charge transfer resistance before and after a charge discharge analysis indicated that the Li+ ions had been well-diffused during the intercalation/de-intercalation process.  相似文献

The development of magnesium electrolytes for battery applications has been the demand for electrochemical devices. To meet such demand, in this work solid blend polymer electrolytes were prepared using polyvinyl alcohol (PVA) and polyacrylonitrile (PAN) (92.5PVA:7.5PAN) as host polymer, magnesium chloride (MgCl2) of different molar mass percentage (m.m.%) (0.1, 0.2, 0.3, 0.4, 0.5, and 0.6%) as salt and dimethylformamide (DMF) as solvent. Structural, vibrational, thermal, electrical, and electrochemical properties of the prepared electrolytes were investigated using different techniques such as X-ray diffraction pattern, FTIR spectroscopy analysis, differential scanning calorimetry (DSC), AC impedance measurement, and transference number measurement. X-ray diffraction studies confirm the minimum volume fraction of crystalline phase for the polymer electrolyte with 0.5 m.m.% of MgCl2. FTIR confirms the complex formation between host polymer and salt. DSC analysis proves the thermal transition of the prepared films are affected by salt concentration. The optimized material with 0.5 m.m.% of MgCl2 offers a maximum electrical conductivity of 1.01 × 10?3 S cm?1 at room temperature. The Mg2+ ion conduction in the blend polymer electrolyte is confirmed from transference number measurement. Electrochemical analysis demonstrates the promising characteristic of these polymer films suitable as electrolytes for primary magnesium batteries. Output potential and discharge characteristics have been analyzed for primary magnesium battery which is constructed using optimized conducting electrolyte.  相似文献

Potato starch (PS)-methyl cellulose (MC) blend solid biopolymer electrolytes infused with ammonium nitrate (NH4NO3) and glycerol as plasticizer are made via the solution cast technique. Fourier transform infrared (FTIR) spectroscopy indicates that NH4NO3 has interacted with the polymer blend host. The addition of 40 wt% glycerol in the highest conducting plasticizer free electrolyte has improved the conductivity to the order of ~10?3 S cm?1. The thermal stability of the electrolytes is identified by thermogravimetric analysis (TGA). Result from X-ray diffraction (XRD) analysis shows that the electrolyte with maximum conductivity value has the lowest degree of crystallinity. Differential scanning calorimetry (DSC) analysis reveals that the highest conducting plasticized electrolyte possesses the lowest glass transition temperature (T g) of ?27.5 °C. Conductivity trend is further verified by dielectric analysis. Transference numbers of ion (t ion) and electron (t e) for the highest conducting electrolyte are identified to be 0.98 and 0.02, respectively, confirming that ions are the dominant charge carriers. Linear sweep voltammetry (LSV) evaluates that the potential window for the electrolyte is 1.88 V. The internal resistance of the electrochemical double-layer capacitor (EDLC) is between 29 and 64 Ω. From the charged-discharged measurement, the value of C s is 31 F g?1. The EDLC is stable over 1000 cycles.  相似文献

In this work, Li2ZrF6, a lithium salt additive, is reported to improve the interface stability of LiNi0.5Mn1.5O4 (LNMO)/electrolyte interface under high voltage (4.9 V vs Li/Li+). Li2ZrF6 is an effective additive to serve as an in situ surface coating material for high-voltage LNMO half cells. A protective SEI layer is formed on the electrode surface due to the involvement of Li2ZrF6 during the formation of SEI layer. Charge/discharge tests show that 0.15 mol L?1 Li2ZrF6 is the optimal concentration for the LiNi0.5Mn1.5O4 electrode and it can improve the cycling performance and rate property of LNMO/Li half cells. The results obtained by electrochemical impedance spectroscopy (EIS), scanning electron microscopy (SEM), transmission electron microscopy (TEM), and X-ray photoelectron spectroscopy (XPS) demonstrate that Li2ZrF6 can facilitate the formation of a thin, uniform, and stable solid electrolyte interface (SEI) layer. This layer inhibits the oxidation decomposition of the electrolyte and suppresses the dissolution of the cathode materials, resulting in improved electrochemical performances.  相似文献

The nanostructured Na3V2(PO4)3 (NVP) cathode material has been synthesized using the sol-gel route for different molar fractions of citric acid as a carbon source during the synthesis. The nanostructured NVP as cores with carbonic shell structures are fabricated with two different citric acid molar ratios. The thermal treatment has been optimized to convert the amorphous carbon shell into graphitic carbon to realize the better electrical conductivity and thus effective electron transfer during the electrochemical charge transfer process. The X-ray diffraction measurements confirmed the rhombohedral crystallographic phase (space group R-3c) with average crystallite size ~28 ± 5 nm. The coin cells are assembled in a hybrid rechargeable electrochemical cell configuration with lithium as a counter electrode and LiPF6-EC:DEC:DMC (1:1:1 ratio) as the electrolyte. The electrochemical charge/discharge measurements are carried out at C/10 and C/20 rates and the measured specific capacities are 80 and 120 mAhg?1 for samples with lower and higher citric acid molar ratios, respectively. The studies suggest that NVP can be used as an effective cathode material in hybrid electrochemical cells, and a higher concentration of citric acid may result in the effective carbonic shell for optimal electron transfer and thus enhanced electrochemical performance.  相似文献

V2O5-SiO2 hybrid material was fabricated by heat-treating a mixture of H2SiO3 and V2O5. SEM, TEM, XRD, and N2 isotherm analyses were performed to characterize the morphology and structure details of the as-prepared V2O5-SiO2. The possibility of using the as-prepared V2O5-SiO2 as anode material for aqueous lithium-ion batteries was investigated. Potentiostatic and galvanostatic results indicated that the intercalation/de-intercalation of Li+ in this material in aqueous electrolyte was quasi-reversible. It was also found that a discharge capacity of up to 199.1 mAh g?1 was obtained at a current density of 50 mA g?1 in aqueous solution of 1 M Li2SO4, a value which is much higher than the available reported capacities of vanadium (+5) oxides in aqueous electrolytes.  相似文献

This work examines the effect of lithium trifluoromethanesulfonate (LiCF3SO3) and glycerol on the conductivity and dielectric properties of potato starch-chitosan blend-based electrolytes. The electrolytes are prepared via solution cast technique. From X-ray diffraction (XRD) analysis, the blend of 50 wt.% starch and 50 wt.% chitosan is found to be the most amorphous blend. Fourier transform infrared (FTIR) spectroscopy studies show the interaction between the electrolyte materials. The room temperature conductivity of pure starch-chitosan film is found to be (2.85 ± 1.31) × 10?10 S cm?1. The incorporation of 45 wt.% LiCF3SO3 increases the conductivity to (7.65 ± 2.27) × 10?5 S cm?1. Further conductivity enhancement up to (1.32 ± 0.35) × 10?3 S cm?1 has been observed on addition of 30 wt.% glycerol. This trend in conductivity is verified by XRD and dielectric analysis. The temperature dependence of conductivity of all electrolytes are Arrhenian.  相似文献

In order to overcome the severe capacity decay of LiMn2O4 at high temperature, TiN is used as an active materials additive in this paper. The XRD and XPS test results indicate that the TiN can effectively prevent Mn from dissolving in electrolyte; galvanostatic charge-discharge test shows that LiMn2O4 electrode with TiN exhibits remarkably improved capacity retention at high temperature with capacity of 105.1 mAh g?1 at 1 C in the first cycle at 55 °C and the capacity maintains 88.9% retention after 150 cycles. And the electrochemical impedance spectroscopy result demonstrates TiN’s effectiveness in easing the increase of charge-transfer resistance during cycling. Therefore, we can conclude that TiN, as an addictive, made obvious contribution to the greatly improved electrochemical cycling performance of LiMn2O4.  相似文献

The LaF3-coated Li[Li0.2Mn0.54Ni0.13Co0.13]O2 nanoparticles were synthesized via co-precipitation method followed by simple chemical deposition process. The crystal structure, particle morphology, and electrochemical properties of the bare and coated materials were studied by XRD, SEM, TEM, charge–discharge tests. The results showed that the surface coating on Li[Li0.2Mn0.54Ni0.13Co0.13]O2 nanoparticles were amorphous LaF3 layer with a thickness of about 10–30 nm. After the surface modification with LaF3 films, the coating layer served as a protective layer to suppress the side reaction between the positive electrode and electrolyte, and the Li[Li0.2Mn0.54Ni0.13Co0.13]O2 oxide demonstrated the improved electrochemical properties. The LaF3-coated Li[Li0.2Mn0.54Ni0.13Co0.13]O2 electrode delivered the capacities of 270.5, 247.9, 197.1, 170.0, 142.7, and 109.5 mAh g?1 at current rates of 0.1, 0.2, 0.5, 1, 2, and 5 C rate, respectively. Besides, the capacity retention was increased from 85.1 to 94.8 % after 100 cycles at 0.5 C rate. It implied surface modification with LaF3 played an important role to improve the cyclic stability and rate capacity of the Li-rich nickel manganese oxides.  相似文献

A simple sucrose-assisted combustion and subsequent high-temperature calcination route have been employed to prepare hierarchical porous ZnMn2O4 nanostructure. When used as an electrode for supercapacitor, the ZnMn2O4 electrode displays a high specific capacitance of 411.75 F g?1 at a current density of 1 A g?1, remarkable capacitance retention rate of 64.28 % at current density of 32 A g?1 compared with 1 A g?1, as well as excellent cycle stability (reversible capacity retention of 88.32 % after 4000 cycles). The outstanding electrochemical performances are mainly attributed to its hierarchical porous architecture, which provides large reaction surface area, fast ion and electron transfer, and good structure stability. All these impressive results demonstrate that ZnMn2O4 shows promise for its application in supercapacitors.  相似文献
