Carbon-coated olivine-structured LiFe0.5Co0.5PO4 solid solution was synthesized by a facile rheological phase method and applied as cathode materials of lithium-ion batteries. The nanostructure’s properties, such as morphology, component, and crystal structure for the samples, characterized by X-ray diffraction (XRD), scanning electron microscopy (SEM), transmission electron microscopy (TEM), Brunauer, Emmett, and Teller (BET) determination, X-ray photoelectron spectroscopy (XPS), and the electrochemical performances were evaluated using constant current charge/discharge tests and electrochemical impedance spectroscopy (EIS). The results indicate that nanoplatelet- and nanorod-structured LiFe0.5Co0.5PO4/C composites were separately obtained using stearic acid or polyethylene glycol 400 (PEG400) as carbon source, and the surfaces of particles for the two samples are ideally covered by full and uniform carbon layer, which is beneficial to improving the electrochemical behaviors. Electrochemical tests verify that the nanoplatelet LiFe0.5Co0.5PO4/C shows a better capacity capability, delivering a discharge specific capacity of 133.8, 112.1, 98.3, and 74.4 mAh g?1 at 0.1, 0.5, 1, and 5 C rate (1 C?=?150 mA g?1); the corresponding cycle number is 5th, 11th, 15th, 20th, and 30th, respectively, whereas the nanorod one possesses more excellent cycling ability, with a discharge capacity of 83.3 mAh g?1 and capacity retention of 86.9% still maintained after cycling for 100 cycles at 0.5 C. Results from the present study demonstrate that the LiFe0.5Co0.5PO4 solid solution nanomaterials with favorable carbon coating effect combine the characteristics and advantage of LiFePO4 and LiCoPO4, thus displaying a tremendous potential as cathode of lithium-ion battery.  相似文献

A comparison of electrochemical performance between LiFe0.4Mn0.595Cr0.005PO4/C and LiMnPO4/C cathode materials was conducted in this paper. The cathode samples were synthesized by a nano-milling-assisted solid-state process using caramel as carbon sources. The prepared samples were investigated by XRD, SEM, TEM, energy-dispersive X-ray spectroscopy (EDAX), powder conductivity test (PCT), carbon-sulfur analysis, electrochemical impedance spectroscopy (EIS), and galvanostatic charge-discharge cycling. The results showed that LiFe0.4Mn0.595Cr0.005PO4/C exhibited high specific capacity and high energy density. The initial discharge capacity of LiFe0.4Mn0.595Cr0.005PO4/C was 163.6 mAh g?1 at 0.1C (1C = 160 mA g?1), compared to 112.3 mAh g?1 for LiMnPO4/C. Moreover, the Fe/Cr-substituted sample showed good cycle stability and rate performance. The capacity retention of LiFe0.4Mn0.595Cr0.005PO4/C was 98.84 % over 100 charge-discharge cycles, while it was only 86.64 % for the pristine LiMnPO4/C. These results indicated that Fe/Cr substitution enhanced the electronic conductivity for the prepared sample and facilitated the Li+ diffusion in the structure. Furthermore, LiFe0.4Mn0.595Cr0.005PO4/C composite presented high energy density (606 Wh kg?1) and high power density (574 W kg?1), thus suggested great potential application in lithium ion batteries (LIBs).  相似文献

Li-ion battery cathode material lithium-vanadium-phosphate Li3V2(PO4)3 was synthesized by a carbon-thermal reduction method, using stearic acid, LiH2PO4, and V2O5 as raw materials. And stearic acid acted as reductant, carbon source, and surface active agent. The effect of its content on the crystal structure and electrochemical performance of Li3V2(PO4)3/C were characterized by XRD and electrochemical performance testing, respectively. The results showed that the content of carbon source has no significant effect on the crystal structure of lithium vanadium phosphate. Lihtium vanadium phosphate obtained with 12.3% stearic acid demonstrated the best electrochemical properties with a typical discharge capacity of 119.4 mAh/g at 0.1 C and capacity retention behavior of 98.5% after 50 cycles. And it has high reversible discharge capacity of 83 mAh/g at 5 C with the voltage window of 3 to 4.3 V.  相似文献

The olivine-type LiFe1-x Y x PO4/C (x?=?0, 0.01, 0.02, 0.03, 0.04, 0.05) products were prepared through liquid-phase precipitation reaction combined with the high-temperature solid-state method. The structure, morphology, and electrochemical performance of the samples were characterized by X-ray diffraction (XRD), scanning electron microscope (SEM), transmission electron microscope (TEM), energy-dispersive spectroscopy (EDS), galvanostatic charge-discharge, cyclic voltammetry, and electrochemical impedance spectroscopy (EIS). We found that the small amount of Y3+ ion-doped can keep the microstructure of LiFePO4, modify the particle morphology, decrease charge transfer resistance, and enhance exchange current density, thus enhance the electrochemical performance of the LiFePO4/C. However, the large doping content of Y3+ ion cannot be completely doped into LiFePO4 lattice, but existing partly in the form of YPO4. The electrochemical performance of LiFePO4/C was restricted owing to YPO4. Among all the doped samples, LiFe0.98Y0.02PO4/C showed the best electrochemical performance. The LiFe0.98Y0.02PO4/C sample exhibited the initial discharge capacity of 166.7, 155.8, 148.2, 139.8, and 121.1 mAh g?1 at a rate of 0.2, 0.5, 1, 2, and 5 C, respectively. And, the discharge capacity of the material was 119.6 mAh g?1 after 100 cycles at 5 C rates.  相似文献

The layered Li1.2Mn0.54Ni0.13Co0.13O2 lithium-rich manganese-based solid solution cathode material has been synthesized by a simple solid-state method. The as-prepared material has a typical layered structure with R-3m and C2/m space group. The synthesized Li1.2Mn0.54Ni0.13Co0.13O2 has an irregular shape with the size range from 200 to 500 nm, and the primary particle of Li1.2Mn0.54Ni0.13Co0.13O2 has regular sphere morphology with a diameter of 320 nm. Electrochemical performances also have been investigated. The results show that the cathode material Li1.2Mn0.54Ni0.13Co0.13O2 prepared at 900 °C for 12 h has a good electrochemical performance, which can deliver a high initial discharge capacity of 233.5, 214.2, 199.3, and 168.1 mAh g?1 at 0.1, 0.2, 0.5, and 1 C, respectively. After 50 cycles, the capacity retains 178.0, 166.3, 162.1, and 155.9 mAh g?1 at 0.1, 0.2, 0.5, and 1 C, respectively. The results indicate that the simple method has a great potential in synthesizing manganese-based cathode materials for Li-ion batteries.  相似文献

This paper addresses the synthesis structural and electrochemical properties of LiFe0.5Mn0.5PO4 electrode materials for Li-ion batteries. The charge–discharge reaction of Li/LiPF6-EC–DEC/LiFe0.5Mn0.5PO4 cell carried out at the 1-C rate shows a capacity retention of 128 mAh/g. The local structure of the delithiated Li x Fe0.5Mn0.5PO4 phases have been studied by Fourier transform infrared spectroscopy and magnetometry. Spectral features indicate that the structure of the delithiated phase remains in the orthorhombic system. The compositional dependence of the magnetic moment is found to be in quantitative agreement with the theoretical value predicted for oxidation of M 2+ ions in the high spin state. Inferior rate capability is a big challenge for LiTi2(PO4)3 anode for aqueous lithium-ion batteries. Herein, to address such issue, we synthesized a high-performance LiTi2(PO4)3/carbon/carbon nanotube (LTP/C/CNT) composite by virtue of high-quality carbon coating and incorporation of good conductive network. The as-prepared LTP/C/CNT composite exhibits excellent rate performance with discharge capacity of 80.1 and 59.1 mAh g?1 at 10 C and 20 C (based on the mass of anode, 1 C = 150 mA g?1), much larger than that of the LTP/C composite (53.4 mAh g?1 at 10 C, and 31.7 mAh g?1 at 20 C). LTP/C/CNT also demonstrates outstanding cycling stability with capacity retention of 83.3 % after 1000 cycles at 5 C, superior to LTP/C without incorporation of CNTs (60.1 %). As verified, the excellent electrochemical performance of the LTP/C/CNT composite is attributed to the enhanced electrical conductivity, rapid charge transfer, and Li-ion diffusion because of the incorporation of CNTs.  相似文献

A series of Li3V2(PO4)3/C composite cathodes have been prepared by the organic solvent replacement drying method. Five kinds of organic solvent including ethyl alcohol, butyl alcohol, 2-methoxyethanol, 1,2-propylene glycol, and ethylene glycol were used in the drying process to replace the water respectively. Powder X-ray diffraction (XRD), scanning electron microscopy (SEM), electrochemical impedance spectroscopy (EIS), and galvanostatic charge-discharge tests were employed to analyze the crystal structure, morphology, and electrochemical properties of the as-prepared materials. The results show that the organic solvent has a great influence on the secondary particle size of the as-synthesized materials. Special emphasis is placed on the sample prepared with 1,2-propylene glycol, which has the smallest average particle size and uniform distribution, thus leading to the best high rate performance and long-term cycling stability. The electrode exhibits average specific discharge capacities of 127.6, 128.3, 127.7, 126.7, 125.5, 124.4, 121.9, and 117.0 mAh g?1 at 0.1, 0.2, 0.5, 1, 3, 5, 10, and 20C, respectively. More encouragingly, this sample delivers an outstanding cycle life with capacity retention of up to 94.68% even after 1000 cycles at 20C. Moreover, EIS results demonstrate that this sample has the minimum resistance and the largest apparent lithium ion diffusion coefficient (1.569 × 10?7 cm2 s?1) which can facilitate to the Li+ diffusion during the charge/discharge process. Our results indicate that this preparation strategy can be facile and versatile for the synthesis of other high-rate and high-capacity intercalation materials.  相似文献

The hierarchical LiMn0.5Fe0.5PO4/C (LMFP) nanorods were first successfully synthesized by rheological phase method using polyethylene glycol 4000 (PEG 4000) as a template reagent. The physical and electrochemical properties of the LiMn0.5Fe0.5PO4/C were characterized by TG-DTG, XRD, FTIR, SEM, TEM, EIS and galvanostatic charge-discharge measurements. The results reveal that the PEG-LMFP/C synthesized with the assistance of PEG 4000 shows unique bundle-type shape assembled of nanorods, while the LMFP/C synthesized without PEG 4000 presents a platelet-like shape with some agglomeration. Besides, a uniformly carbon layer coating on the surface of the PEG-LMFP/C can be seen from TEM images. The PEG-LMFP/C exhibits high specific capacity and superior rate performance with discharge capacities of 162, 133, 108, 95, and 78 mAh?·?g?1 at 0.1, 1, 5, 10, and 20 C rates, respectively. It is demonstrated that the synthesis of LMFP/C with PEG 4000 can significantly decrease the characteristic sizes of the crystals, resulting in improved electrochemical performance.  相似文献

Carbon-coated olivine-structured LiFePO4/C composites are synthesized via an efficient and low-cost carbothermal reduction method using Fe2O3 as iron source at a relative low temperature (600 °C). The effects of two kinds of carbon sources, inorganic (acetylene black) and organic (sucrose), on the structures, morphologies, and lithium storage properties of LiFePO4/C are evaluated in details. The particle size and distribution of the carbon-coated LiFePO4 from sucrose (LiFePO4/SUC) are more uniform than that obtained from acetylene black (LiFePO4/AB). Moreover, the LiFePO4/SUC nanocomposite shows superior electrochemical properties such as high discharge capacity of 156 mAh g?1 at 0.1 C, excellent cyclic stability, and rate capability (78 mAh g?1 at 20 C), as compared to LiFePO4/AB. Cyclic voltammetric test discloses that the Li-ion diffusion, the reversibility of lithium extraction/insertion, and electrical conductivity are significantly improved in LiFePO4/SUC composite. It is believed that olivine-structured LiFePO4 decorated with carbon from organic carbon source (sucrose) using Fe2O3 is a promising cathode for high-power lithium-ion batteries.  相似文献

High-voltage spinel LiNi0.5Mn1.5O4 nano/microspheres with adjustable hollow structures have been fabricated based on the Kirkendall effect. The main characteristic is that the wall thickness of the hollow structure as well as the cavity size of the hollow structure can be adjusted by the different ratio of mixed precipitation agents. Especially, the diagrammatic sketch for the formation process of various LiNi0.5Mn1.5O4 materials with adjustable hollow structures is discussed. Besides, the results of electrochemical performance test show that LiNi0.5Mn1.5O4 obtained from 10:1 Na2CO3/NaOH (in mole) ratio is worth looking forward to, owing to its special hierarchical nano/microsphere and moderate hollow structures.  相似文献

Li3V2(PO4)3/C samples were synthesized by two different synthesis methods. Their influence on electrochemical performances of Li3V2(PO4)3/C as cathode materials for lithium-ion batteries was investigated. The structure and morphology of Li3V2(PO4)3/C samples were characterized by X-ray diffraction and scanning electron microscopy. Electrochemical performance was characterized by charge/discharge, cyclic voltammetry, and alternating current (AC) impedance measurements. Li3V2(PO4)3/C with smaller grain size showed better performances in terms of the discharge capacity and cycle stability. The improved electrochemical properties of the Li3V2(PO4)3/C were attributed to the decreasing grain size and enhanced electrical conductivity produced via low temperature route. AC impedance measurements also showed that the Li3V2(PO4)3/C synthesized by low temperature route significantly decreased the charge-transfer resistance and shortened the migration distance of lithium ion.  相似文献

Organic electrolyte is widely used for lithium-ion rechargeable batteries but might cause flammable fumes or fire due to improper use such as overcharge or short circuit. That weakness encourages the development of tools and materials which are cheap and environmental friendly for rechargeable lithium-ion batteries with aqueous electrolyte. Lithium iron phosphate (LiFePO4) with olivine structure is a potential candidate to be used as the cathode in aqueous electrolyte lithium-ion battery. However, LiFePO4 has a low electronic conductivity compared to other cathodes. Conductive coating of LiFePO4 was applied to improve the conductivity using sucrose as carbon source by heating to 600 °C for 3 h on an Argon atmosphere. The carbon-coated LiFePO4 (LiFePO4/C) was successfully prepared with three variations of the weight percentage of carbon. From the cyclic voltammetry, the addition of carbon coatings could improve the stability of cell battery in aqueous electrolyte. The result of galvanostatic charge/discharge shows that 9 % carbon exhibits the best result with the first specific discharge capacity of 13.3 mAh g?1 and capacity fading by 2.2 % after 100 cycles. Although carbon coating enhances the conductivity of LiFePO4, excessive addition of carbon could degrade the capacity of LiFePO4.  相似文献

A hierarchically nanospherical α-Fe2O3/graphene composite with a homogeneous mono-pore size of 4 nm has been prepared using a hydrothermal method. The composite showed an extremely high rate performance and good cycling stability when applied as an anode material for lithium-ion batteries owing to its unique three dimensional architecture. A specific capacity of 110 mAh/g was obtained at an extremely high current rate of 40 A/g and recover to 830 mAh/g at 0.5 A/g after 60 cycles. After 250 cycles at 2 A/g, the composite electrode exhibited a capacity of 630 mAh/g with a columbic efficiency of 99.5 %.  相似文献

The pure phase P2-Na2/3Ni1/3Mn2/3O2 was synthesized by a solid reaction process. The optimum calcination temperature was 850 °C. The as-prepared product delivered a capacity of 158 mAh g?1 in the voltage range of 2–4.5 V, and there was a phase transition from P2 to O2 at about 4.2 V in the charge process. The P2 phase exhibited excellent intercalation behavior of Na ions. The reversible capacity is about 88.5 mAh g?1 at 0.1 C in the voltage range of 2–4 V at room temperature. At an elevated temperature of 55 °C, it could remain as an excellent capacity retention at low current rates. The P2-Na2/3Ni1/3Mn2/3O2 is a potential cathode material for sodium-ion batteries.  相似文献

LiFePO4/graphene composites have been prepared by using tailoring graphene oxide (GO) nanosheets as precursors. The structure and electrochemical properties of the composites were investigated by X-ray diffraction (XRD), atomic force microscopy (AFM), scanning electron microscopy (SEM), Raman microscopy, and a variety of electrochemical testing techniques. The decrease in graphene size reduces the contact resistance between activated materials, and enhances the lithium-ion transport in LiFePO4/graphene composites. With low weight fractions of small-size graphene sheets, the composites show better electrochemical performance than those with large size graphene sheets.  相似文献

MnxV6?xO13 (x?=?0.01, 0.02, 0.03, 0.04) were successfully synthesized via a simple hydrothermal method followed by heat-treatment. Both crystal domain size, electronic conductivity and the lithium diffusion coefficient of the MnxV6?xO13 samples were influenced by the doping amount of Mn2+. When x?=?0.02, the product was nano-sized particles and exhibited the best electrochemical performance. The enhanced electrochemical performance originated from its higher total conductivity and higher lithium diffusion coefficient.  相似文献

ZnCo2O4 nanoflakes were directly grown on Ni foam via a two-step facile strategy, involving cathodic electrolytic electrodeposition (ELD) method and followed by a thermal annealing treatment step. The results of physical characterizations exhibit that the mesoporous ZnCo2O4 nanoflakes have large electroactive surface areas (138.8 m2 g?1) and acceptable physical stability with the Ni foam, providing fast electron and ion transport sites. The ZnCo2O4 nanoflakes on Ni foam were directly used as integrated electrodes for supercapacitors and their electrochemical properties were measured in 2 M KOH aqueous solution. The ZnCo2O4 nanoflake electrode exhibits a high capacitance of 1781.7 F g?1 at a current density of 5 A g?1 and good rate capability (62% capacity retention at 50 A g?1). Also, an excellent cycling ability at various current densities from 5 to 50 A g?1 was obtained and 92% of the initial capacitance maintained after 4000 cycles. The results demonstrate that the proposed synthesis route is cost-effective and facile and can be developed for preparation of electrode materials in other electrochemical supercapacitors.  相似文献

A model of electron transfer by tunneling between trapped electron and hole centers in crystals with hydrogen bonds under the conditions of thermostimulated mobility of one carrier type in the recombination process has been developed. The proposed model describes all features in the kinetics of induced optical density relaxation observed in nonlinear optical crystals of KH2PO4 (KDP) and NH4H2PO4 (ADP) on a wide temporal scale (10−8–10 s) under pulsed irradiation. The results of model calculations have been compared with experimental data on the photoinduced transient optical absorption (TOA) in KDP and ADP crystals in the visible and UV ranges. The nature of the radiation-induced defects, which account for the TOA, and the dependence of the TOA decay kinetics on the temperature, excitation power, and other experimental conditions have been considered.  相似文献

(Ni0.6Co0.2Mn0.2)(OH)2 precursor has been successfully prepared using hydroxide co-precipitation method. The thermodynamic model of hydroxide co-precipitation with sodium DL-lactate as an eco-friendly chelating agent is proposed. The microstructures of (Ni0.6Co0.2Mn0.2)(OH)2 precursors and Li(Ni0.6Co0.2Mn0.2)O2 cathode materials are investigated using X-ray diffractometer and scanning electronic microscopy, while the electrochemical performances of Li(Ni0.6Co0.2Mn0.2)O2 cathode materials are measured using a charge–discharge test. The influences of pH value on the structure and morphological and electrochemical performances of Li(Ni0.6Co0.2Mn0.2)O2 cathode materials have been discussed in detail. The results show that the sample at pH?=?11.5 exhibits the best lamellar structure and lowest cation mixing, while the sample at pH?=?11.0 delivers the most uniform and full particles and possesses the highest initial charge–discharge performance of 183.4 mAh/g and the best coulombic efficiency of 77.9% at the voltage range of 3.0–4.3 V. Even after 100 cycles, its discharge capacity still remains 165.2 mAh/g with the best retention rate of 90.1%. Furthermore, the sample at pH?=?11.0 delivers the highest discharge capacity at each current density. Even if discharged at 5C (1000 mA/g), the capacity of 115.6 mAh/g has been achieved. The sample at pH?=?11.0 exhibits the highest Li-ion diffusion coefficients (2.072?×?10?12 cm2/s).  相似文献
