Pseudo‐Isomerism by Different Jahn‐Teller Ordering: Crystal Structures of the Hemihydrate and the Monohydrate of (pyH)[MnF(H2PO4)(HPO4)] With pyridinium counter cations (pyH+) the MnIII fluoride phosphate anion [MnF(H2PO4)(HPO4)] can be stabilized. It forms a chain structure with Mn3+ ions bridged by a fluoride ion and two bidentate phosphate groups. Under sleightly differing conditions either the hemihydrate (pyH)[MnF(H2PO4)(HPO4)]·0.5H2O ( 1 ) or the monohydrate (pyH)[MnF(H2PO4)(HPO4)]·H2O ( 2 ) is formed. The hemihydrate 1 crystallizes monoclinic in space group P21/n, Z = 8, a = 7.295(1), b = 17.052(2), c = 18.512(3) Å, β = 100.78(1)°, R = 0.033, the monohydrate triclinic in space group P1¯, Z = 2, a = 7.374(1), b = 8.628(1), c = 10.329(1) Å, α = 83.658(8)°, β = 77.833(9)°, γ = 68.544(8)°, R = 0.025. Whereas the topology of the chain anions is identical in both structures, the Jahn‐Teller effect is expressed in different ordering patterns: in 1 antiferrodistortive ordering of [MnF2O4] octahedra is observed, with alternating elongation of an F—Mn—F‐axis or a O—Mn—O‐axis, respectively. This leads to asymmetrical Mn—F—Mn‐bridges. In 2 ferrodistortive ordering is found, with elongation of all octahedra along the F—Mn—F‐axis. Thus, symmetrical bridges are formed with long Mn—F distances. This unusual pseudo‐isomerism is attributed to the differing influence of inter‐chain hydrogen bonds.  相似文献

Jahn‐Teller Ordering in pipzH2[Mn2F8], a Fluoromanganate(III) with a New Layer Structure From a solution of (pipzH2)[MnF2(HPO4)(H2O)]·(H2PO4) in concentrated hydrofluoric acid the title compound could be crystallized and was characterized by X‐ray crystallography: monoclinic, space group P21/n, Z = 8, a = 13.275(1), 10.400(1), c = 14.928(1) Å, β = 112.337(8), R = 0.0265. The structure shows a new type of anionic layers [Mn2F8] built of dimers of edge‐sharing [MnF6] octahedra linked via common vertices, alternating with layers of piperazinium(2+) cations. A dense network of hydrogen bonds N–H···F achieves a strong 3D interconnection. Strong elongation of the [MnF6] octahedra is observed due to the Jahn‐Teller effect. The long axes show parallel (ferrodistortive) orientation within the dimers, but the ordering between the dimers is antiferrodistorive. A possible mechanism of formation is discussed on the basis of precursor structures.  相似文献

Jahn‐Teller Ordering in Manganese(III) Fluoride Sulphates. I. Crystal Structures of A2[MnF3(SO4)] (A = Rb, NH4, Cs) The three isostructural fluorosulphatomanganates(III) A2[MnF3(SO4)] (A = Rb, NH4, Cs) crystallize in space group P21/c, Z = 4. Rb2[MnF3(SO4)]: a = 7.271, b = 11.091, c = 8.776Å, β = 92.26°, R = 0.033; (NH4)2[MnF3(SO4)]: a = 7.299, b = 10.157, c = 8.813Å, β = 91.51°, R = 0.025; Cs2[MnF3(SO4)]: a = 7.365, b = 11.611, c = 9.211, β = 92.30°, R = 0.029. In the chain anions [MnF3(SO4)]2— manganese(III) is coordinated by two trans‐terminal and two trans‐bridging fluorine ligands, and by the O‐atoms of two briding sulphate ligands in trans position. The Jahn‐Teller effect induces a variety of antiferrodistortive ordering resulting in distorted [MnF4O2] octahedra with alternating elongation of F—Mn—F — and O—Mn—O — axes, respectively. Thus, only asymmetrical bridges are formed.  相似文献

By adding piperazine to a hydrofluoric and phosphoric acid solution of Manganese(III) fluoride, the fluoride phosphate (pipzH2)[MnF2(HPO4)(H2O)](H2PO4) can be crystallized. Its structure is built by piperazinium(2+) cations, (H2PO4)? anions, and an anionic double‐chain of [HPO4] tetrahedra and [MnO3F2(H2O)] octahedra. The structure is triclinic, space group P , Z = 2, a = 622.97(4), b = 923.46(6), c = 1183.62(7) pm, α = 98.343(6)°, β = 100.747(7)°, γ = 107.642(5)°, R = 0.0289. It is worth noting that a ferrodistortive Jahn‐Teller order is observed with [MnO3F2(H2O)] octahedra strongly elongated along the F–Mn–OH2 axes perpendicular to the chain plane. The structure is stabilized by very strong hydrogen bonds.  相似文献

Synthesis and Crystal Structure of K2(HSO4)(H2PO4), K4(HSO4)3(H2PO4), and Na(HSO4)(H3PO4) Mixed hydrogen sulfate phosphates K2(HSO4)(H2PO4), K4(HSO4)3(H2PO4) and Na(HSO4)(H3PO4) were synthesized and characterized by X‐ray single crystal analysis. In case of K2(HSO4)(H2PO4) neutron powder diffraction was used additionally. For this compound an unknown supercell was found. According to X‐ray crystal structure analysis, the compounds have the following crystal data: K2(HSO4)(H2PO4) (T = 298 K), monoclinic, space group P 21/c, a = 11.150(4) Å, b = 7.371(2) Å, c = 9.436(3) Å, β = 92.29(3)°, V = 774.9(4) Å3, Z = 4, R1 = 0.039; K4(HSO4)3(H2PO4) (T = 298 K), triclinic, space group P 1, a = 7.217(8) Å, b = 7.521(9) Å, c = 7.574(8) Å, α = 71.52(1)°, β = 88.28(1)°, γ = 86.20(1)°, V = 389.1(8)Å3, Z = 1, R1 = 0.031; Na(HSO4)(H3PO4) (T = 298 K), monoclinic, space group P 21, a = 5.449(1) Å, b = 6.832(1) Å, c = 8.718(2) Å, β = 95.88(3)°, V = 322.8(1) Å3, Z = 2, R1 = 0,032. The metal atoms are coordinated by 8 or 9 oxygen atoms. The structure of K2(HSO4)(H2PO4) is characterized by hydrogen bonded chains of mixed HnS/PO4 tetrahedra. In the structure of K4(HSO4)3(H2PO4), there are dimers of HnS/PO4 tetrahedra, which are further connected to chains. Additional HSO4 tetrahedra are linked to these chains. In the structure of Na(HSO4)(H3PO4) the HSO4 tetrahedra and H3PO4 molecules form layers by hydrogen bonds.  相似文献

Yellowish single crystals of acidic mercury(I) phosphate (Hg2)2(H2PO4)(PO4) were obtained at 200 °C under hydrothermal conditions in 32% HF from a starting complex of microcrystalline (Hg2)2P2O7. Refinement of single crystal data converged at a conventional residual R[F2 > 2σ(F2)] = 3.8% (C2/c, Z = 8, a = 9.597(2) Å, b = 12.673(2) Å, c = 7.976(1) Å, β = 110.91(1)°, V = 906.2(2) Å3, 1426 independent reflections > 2σ out of 4147 reflections, 66 variables). The crystal structure consists of Hg22+‐dumbbells and discrete phosphate groups H2PO4 and PO43–. The Hg22+ pairs are built of two crystallographically independent Hg atoms with a distance d(Hg1–Hg2) = 2.5240(6) Å. The oxygen coordination sphere around the mercury atoms is asymmetric with three O atoms for Hg1 and four O atoms for Hg2. The oxygen atoms belong to the different PO4 tetrahedra, which in case of H2PO4‐groups are connected by hydrogen bonding. Upon heating over 230 °C, (Hg2)2(H2PO4)(PO4) condenses to (Hg2)2P2O7, which in turn disproportionates at higher temperatures into Hg2P2O7 and elemental mercury.  相似文献

The crystal structures of three new diaqua-tetrafluoro-manganate(III) compounds with different organic N-cations have been determined: 2-picoH[MnF4(H2O)2] 1 (2-pico = 2-methyl-pyridine), space group P21/c, a = 9.439, b = 13.662, c = 7.641 Å, β = 91.31°; R = 0.059; TMEDAH2[MnF4(H2O)2]2 2 (TMEDA = N,N,N′,N′-tetramethyl ethane diamine), space group P21/c, a = 5.421, b = 15.970, c = 9.677 Å, β = 96.37°, R = 0.031, and TMBDAH2[MnF4(H2O)2]2 3 (TMBDA = N,N,N′,N′-tetramethyl-1,4-butane-diamine), space group P21/n, a = 12.631, b = 5.577, c = 12.976 Å, β = 98.10°, R = 0.040. All three compounds show 2 D H-bonding networks of [MnF4(H2O)2] anions separated by the organic cations. However, the topology of the anionic H-bonding nets is different for each compound. The anions are strongly elongated by the Jahn-Teller effect and are arranged in a ferrodistortive way in compounds 1 and 2 , whereas in compound 3 the arrangement is described as in a herringbone-like antiferrodistortive variant.  相似文献

Jahn‐Teller Ordering in Manganese(III) Fluoride Sulfates. II. Phase Transition and Twinning of K2[MnF3(SO4)] and 1D Magnetism in Compounds A2[MnF3(SO4)] (A = K, NH4, Rb, Cs) According to single‐crystal X‐ray investigations, K2[MnF3(SO4)] crystallizes at low temperature, like the isostructural Rb, NH4, and Cs analogues in space group P21/c, Z = 4, e.g. at 100 K with a = 7.197, b = 10.704, c = 8.427Å, β = 91.84°. Below about 300 K, the crystals are found to be [001] axis twins. Using a new integration method for area detector records, nearly complete intensity data could be gained allowing for structure refinements of similar quality as for untwinned crystals (e.g. at 100 K: wR2 = 0.050, R = 0.020 for all reflections). With rising temperature, the monoclinic angle approaches continuously 90°. For an ordering parameter Δβ = β?90° a 2nd‐order phase transition is observed with an exponent λ = 0.17. At the transition temperature of 280 K resulting from the fit, the monoclinic structure changes – with delay – to orthorhombic with the minimum super‐group Pnca, a = 7.243, b = 10.763, c = 8.457Å, R = 0.024, as found in an early structure determination at room temperature by Edwards 1971. In the chain‐like [MnF3(SO4)]2? anions, manganese(III) is octahedrally coordinated by two trans‐terminal and two trans‐bridging fluorine ligands as well as by the O atoms of two trans‐bridging sulfate ligands. At low temperature, the octahedral elongation by the Jahn‐Teller effect alternates between a F–Mn–F and an O–Mn–O axis (antiferrodistortive ordering). All bridges are asymmetric. From about 320 K on they become symmetric. Due to 2D dynamical Jahn‐Teller effect all octahedra appear compressed. All compounds A2[MnF3(SO4)] show 1D antiferromagnetism. The antiferrodistortive Jahn‐Teller order at low temperatures and the small bridge angles explain the much lower magnetic exchange energies and their inverse relation to the bridge angles as compared with other fluoromanganate(III) chain compounds with the usual ferrodistortive ordering.  相似文献

Pale rose single crystals of SrMn2(PO4)2 were obtained from a mixture of SrCl2 · 6 H2O, Mn(CH3COO)2, and (NH4)2HPO4 after thermal decomposition and finally melting at 1100 °C. The new crystal structure of strontium manganese orthophosphate [P‐1, Z = 4, a = 8.860(6) Å, b = 9.054(6) Å, c = 10.260(7) Å, α = 124.27(5)°, β = 90.23(5)°, γ = 90.26(6)°, 4220 independent reflections, R1 = 0.034, wR2 = 0.046] might be described as hexagonal close‐packing of phosphate groups. The octahedral, tetrahedral and trigonal‐bipyramidal voids within this [PO4] packing provide different positions for 8‐ and 10‐fold [SrOx] and distorted octahedral [MnO6] coordination according to a formulation Mn Mn Mn Sr (PO4)4. Single crystals of β′‐Mn3(PO4)2 (pale rose) were grown by chemical vapour transport (850 °C → 800 °C, P/I mixtures as transport agent). The unit cell of β′‐Mn3(PO4)2 [P21/c, Z = 12, a = 8.948(2) Å, b = 10.050(2) Å, c = 24.084(2) Å, β = 120.50°, 2953 independent reflections, R1 = 0.0314, wR2 = 0.095] contains 9 independent Mn2+. The reinvestigation of the crystal structure led to distinctly better agreement factors and significantly reduced standard deviations for the interatomic distances.  相似文献

Reaction of CuCl2 · 2H2O, phenanthroline, maleic acid and NaOH in CH3OH/H2O (1:1 v/v) at pH = 7.0 yielded blue {[Cu(phen)]2(C4H2O4)2} · 4.5H2O, which crystallizes in the monoclinic space group C2/c (no. 15) with cell dimensions: a = 18.127(2)Å, b = 12.482(2)Å, c = 14.602(2)Å, β = 103.43(1)°, U = 3213.5(8)Å3, Z = 4. The crystal structure consists of the centrosymmetric dinuclear {[Cu(phen)]2(C4H2O4)2} complex molecules and hydrogen bonded H2O molecules. The Cu atoms are each square‐pyramidally coordinated by two N atoms of one phen ligand and three carboxyl O atoms of two maleato ligands with one carboxyl O atom at the apical position (d(Cu‐N) = 2.008, 2.012Å, equatorial d(Cu‐O) = 1.933, 1.969Å, axial d(Cu‐O) = 2.306Å). Two square‐pyramids are condensed via two apical carboxyl O atoms with a relatively larger Cu···Cu separation of 3.346(1)Å. The dinuclear complex molecules are assembled via the intermolecular π—π stacking interactions into 1D ribbons. Crossover of the resulting ribbons via interribbon π—π stacking interactions forms a 3D network with the tunnels occupied by H2O molecules. The title complex behaves paramagnetically between 5—300 K, following the Curie‐Weiss law χm(T—θ) = 0.435 cm3 · mol—1 · K with θ = 1.59 K.  相似文献

Crystal Structures of (Ph4P)3[Be2Cl5(OSiMe3)][BeCl3(Me2NSiMe3)], (Ph4P)[BeCl3(HNMe2)], and (Ph4P)(H2NMe2)[BeCl4] Reactions of bis‐tetraphenylphosphonium hexachlorodiberyllate, (Ph4P)2[Be2Cl6], with trimethylsilyl‐N‐dimethylamide under different conditions lead to the novel chloroberyllate derivatives (Ph4P)3[Be2Cl5(OSiMe3)][BeCl3(Me2NSiMe3)] ( 1 ), (Ph4P)[BeCl3(HNMe2)] ( 2 ), and (Ph4P)(H2NMe2)[BeCl4] ( 3 ). 1 ‐ 3 were characterized by IR spectroscopy and crystal structure determinations. 1· 4CH2Cl2: Space group P1¯, Z = 2, lattice dimensions at 193 K: a = 1115.6(1), b = 2110.7(2), c = 2145.0(3) pm, α = 71.38(1)°, β = 85.66(1)°, γ = 85.24(1)°, R1 = 0.0732. The [Be2Cl5(OSiMe3)]2— ion in the structure of 1 is derived from the [Be2Cl6]2— ion by substitution of a μ‐Cl ligand by the oxygen atom of the (OSiMe3) group. The second anion, [BeCl3(Me2NSiMe3)], can be described as donor acceptor complex with a short Be—N bond of 179(1) pm. 2 : Space group P1¯, Z = 2, lattice dimensions at 193 K: a = 1063.1(1), b = 1072.0(1), c = 1238.3(1) pm, α = 87.55(1)°, β = 74.86(1)°, γ = 69.73(1)°, R1 = 0.0299. The anion of 2 forms a centrosymmetric dimer [BeCl3(HNMe2)]22— via N—H···Cl bridges of the two donor acceptor complex units with Be—N separations of 175.2(2) pm. 3 : Space group Pbca, Z = 8, lattice dimensions at 193 K: a = 926.9(1), b = 2164.7(1), c = 2732.7(1) pm, R1 = 0.0495. Single crystal X‐ray analysis showed that these two compounds are isostructural, but belong to different space groups. The Mo (W) atom has a slightly distorted tetrahedral coordination, and the two Au atoms are distorted from trigonal planar, the P—Au—M—Au—P chain is nearly linear. Measurement of the nonlinear optical (NLO) properties using the Z‐scan technique with an 8‐ns pulsed laser at 532 nm showed that 1 and 2 possess NLO absorption and effective self‐focusing effect. The effective α2 and n2 values of cluster 1 are 5.89 × 10—12 m · W—1 and 6.45 × 10—18 m2 · W—1; the effective α2 and n2 values of compound 2 are 4.35 × 10—11 m · W—1 and 3.73 × 10—17 m2 · W—1.  相似文献

The compounds of zinc ( I a : P21/c, a = 12.688(3), b = 6.554(1), c = 12.697(3) Å, β = 95.21(3)°, V = 1051.5(4) Å3, Z = 4) and nickel ( I b : P21/c, a = 12.685(3), b = 6.517(1), c = 12.664(2)Å, β = 94.55(2)°, V = 1043.6(4) Å3, Z = 4) are isotypic and represent a new structure type consisting of two different cations, NH4+ and [M(H2O)6]2+ and [AlF6]3–‐anions. [Zn(H2O)6][AlF5(H2O)] ( II : C2/m, a = 10.769(2), b = 13.747(3), c = 6.487(1)Å, β = 100.02(3)°, V = 945.7(3) Å3, Z = 4) is characterized by a H2O/F‐disorder in the [AlF5(H2O)]‐octahedra in two trans positions. In (PyH)4[Al2F10] · 4 H2O ( III : Cmc21, a = 15.035(3), b = 20.098(4), c = 12.750(4) Å, V = 5364(2) Å3, Z = 8), bioctahedral [Al2F10]4– anions have been found for the first time. The structures are described and discussed in comparison. The new compounds were used as precursors in order to obtain new AlF3‐phases. However, the thermal decomposition did not result in the formation of any new metastable AlF3‐phase. Instead, phase mixtures of either α‐AlF3 and β‐AlF3 or AlF3 and MF2 were obtained.  相似文献

Na2(HSO4)2(H2SO4) ( B ) is orthorhombic (space group Pna21) with the unit cell parameters a = 9.970(2), b = 6.951(1), c = 13.949(3) Å, V = 966.7 Å3 and Z = 4. Na(HSO4)(H2SO4)2 ( C ) crystallizes in the triclinic space group P1 with the unit cell parameters a = 5.084(1), b = 8.746(1), c = 11.765(3) Å, α = 68.86(2)°, β = 88.44(2)°, γ = 88.97(2)°, V = 487.8 Å3 and Z = 2. All three compounds contain SO4 tetrahedra as HSO4? anions and additionally in B and C in form of H2SO4 molecules. The ratio H:SO4 determines the connectivity degree in the hydrogen bond system. In A , there are zigzag chains and dimers additionally connected via oxonium ions. Complex chains consisting of cyclic trimers (two HSO4? and one H2SO4) are present in B . In structure C , several parallel chains are connected to columns due to the greater content of H2SO4. Sodium cations show a distorted octahedral coordination by oxygen in all three structures, the NaO6 octahedra being “isolated” (connected via SO4 tetrahedra only) in A . Pairs of octahedra with common edge form Na2O10 dimeric units in C . Such double octahedra are connected via common corners forming zigzag chains in B .  相似文献

Single crystals of the first anhydrous thallium nickel phosphates were prepared by reaction of heterogeneous Tl/Ni/P alloys with oxygen. TlNi4(PO4)3 (pale‐yellow, orthorhombic, space group Cmc21, a = 6.441(2)Å, b = 16.410(4)Å, c = 9.624(2)Å, Z = 4) crystallizes with a structure closely related to that of NaNi4(PO4)3. Tl4Ni7(PO4)6 (yellow‐brown, monoclinic, space group Cm, a = 10.711(1)Å, b = 14.275(2)Å, c = 6.688(2)Å, β = 103.50(2)°, Z = 8) is isotypic with Na4Ni7(PO4)6, and Tl2Ni4(P2O7)(PO4)2 (brown, monoclinic, space group C2/c, a = 10.389(2)Å, b = 13.888(16)Å, c = 18.198(3)Å, β = 103.1(2)°, Z = 8) adopts the K2Ni4(P2O7)(PO4)2 structure. Tl2Ni4(P2O7)(PO4)2 could also be prepared in nearly single phase form by reaction of Tl2CO3, NiO, and (NH4)2HPO4.  相似文献

A new ruthenium(II) complex [Ru(NO2)4(CO)(H2O)]Cl2 · 2H2O has been prepared and characterized structurally. The compound crystallizes in monoclinic space group C2 /m, with the unit cell parameters a = 12.913(2), b = 14.605(2), c = 7.4494(1)Å, ß =121.49(2)°; V = 1198.0(3)Å3, Z = 4, Dc = 2.429 Mgm—3; μ = 1.83 mm—1; R = 0.0455, wR = 0.1552. The complex contains four neutral NO2 ligands. The ruthenium atom is six‐coordinated to four nitrogen atoms of nitrogen dioxide, one carbon atom from carbon monoxide and one oxygen atom from water molecule, forming slightly distorted octahedral coordination. The preparation procedure has been discussed.  相似文献
