The minimal SO(5) / SO(4) linear \(\sigma \) model is extended including an additional complex scalar field, singlet under the global SO(5) and the Standard Model gauge symmetries. The presence of this scalar field creates the conditions to generate an axion à la KSVZ, providing a solution to the strong CP problem, or an axion-like-particle. Different choices for the PQ charges are possible and lead to physically distinct Lagrangians. The internal consistency of each model necessarily requires the study of the scalar potential describing the \(SO(5)\rightarrow SO(4)\), electroweak and PQ symmetry breaking. A single minimal scenario is identified and the associated scalar potential is minimised including counterterms needed to ensure one-loop renormalizability. In the allowed parameter space, phenomenological features of the scalar degrees of freedom, of the exotic fermions and of the axion are illustrated. Two distinct possibilities for the axion arise: either it is a QCD axion with an associated scale larger than \(\sim 10^{5}\) TeV and therefore falling in the category of the invisible axions; or it is a more massive axion-like-particle, such as a 1 GeV axion with an associated scale of \(\sim 200\) TeV, that may show up in collider searches.  相似文献

In the present work, we consider a model with a fermionic field that is non-minimally coupled to gravity in the framework of teleparallel gravity. In order to determine the forms of the coupling and potential function of fermionic field for the considered model, we use the Noether symmetry approach. By applying this approach, for the Friedman–Robertson–Walker metric, we obtain the respective potential and coupling functions as a linear and power-law form of the bilinear \(\Psi \) . Furthermore, we search for the exact cosmological solution of the model. It is shown that the fermionic field plays the role of dark energy.  相似文献

We develop a theory of f{\phi} -coordinated (quasi-) modules for a general nonlocal vertex algebra where f{\phi} is what we call an associate of the one-dimensional additive formal group. By specializing f{\phi} to a particular associate, we obtain a new construction of weak quantum vertex algebras in the sense of Li (Selecta Mathematica (New Series) 11:349–397, 2005). As an application, we associate weak quantum vertex algebras to quantum affine algebras, and we also associate quantum vertex algebras and f{\phi} -coordinated modules to a certain quantum βγ-system explicitly.  相似文献

We study the quark-mass dependence of \(\omega \rightarrow 3\pi \) decays, based on a dispersion-theoretical framework. We rely on the quark-mass-dependent scattering phase shift for the pion–pion P-wave extracted from unitarized chiral perturbation theory. The dispersive representation then takes into account the final-state rescattering among all three pions. The described formalism may be used as an extrapolation tool for lattice QCD calculations of three-pion decays, for which \(\omega \rightarrow 3\pi \) can serve as a paradigm case.  相似文献

We show that a Hamiltonian reduction of affine Lie superalgebras having bosonic simple roots (such as OSp ) does produce supersymmetric Toda models, with superconformal symmetry being nonlinearly realized for those fields of the Toda system which are related to the bosonic simple roots of the superalgebra. Visible light communication (VLC) has been a promising field of optical communications which focuses on visible light spectrum that humans can see. Unlike existing studies which mainly discuss point-to-point communication, in this paper, we consider a VLC network, in particular a \(2 \times 2\) system. Our focus is on dealing with interference in this network. The objective is to maximize the signal to interference plus noise ratio (SINR) of one receiver for a given SINR of another receiver. We formulate a power allocation optimization problem to deal with such interference, and introduce dichotomy to solve this optimization problem. Simulation results have twofold meaning: First, \(\mathrm{SINR}_1\) increases with the growth of \(\mathrm{SINR}_2\), which are the SINR of the two receivers, respectively. Second, our proposed scheme outperforms the classical time-division multiple access technique in terms of transmit powers of both light sources when the data rate for these two schemes are set to be identical for each user, respectively.  相似文献
