In this work, (Z)‐N‐benzoyl‐N′‐(1H‐1,2,4‐triazol‐3‐yl)carbamimidothioic acid and its Mn(II), Co(II), Cu(II) and Cd(II) complexes were introduced for the first time. This carbonyl thiourea ligand was prepared by the reaction of 1H‐1,2,4‐triazol‐3‐amine with benzoyl isothiocyanate. The structural elucidation of these compounds was performed using elemental analysis and spectral and magnetic measurements. Octahedral structures of all complexes, except Cd(II) complex with a tetrahedral geometry, were confirmed by applying DFT structural optimization. The thermal decomposition behaviour of metal complexes of carbonyl thiourea ligand is discussed. The calculation of kinetic parameters for prepared complexes (Ea, A, ΔH*, ΔS* and ΔG*) of all thermal degradation stages has been evaluated using two comparable approaches. Antimicrobial and ABTS‐antioxidant studies indicated potent activity of Cd(II) complex compared with the other investigated compounds. The cytotoxic activity of the prepared compounds was investigated in vitro. The results indicated potent activity of Mn(II) complex against both HePG2 (liver carcinoma) and MCF‐7 (breast carcinoma) cancer cells.  相似文献

A new quinazolinone derivative, 3‐[1‐(2‐hydroxyphenyl)ethylideamino]‐2‐phenyl‐3,4‐dihydroquinazolin‐4(3H)‐one ( LH ) was synthesized by the condensation of 2‐hydroxyacetophenone‐2‐aminobenzoylhydrazone and benzaldehyde. The cyclization to form 1,2‐dihydroquinazolinone was confirmed by IR, 1D and 2D HETCOR studies. Coordination compounds of Co(II), Ni(II), Cu(II) and Zn(II) of LH were synthesized and characterized using various physico‐chemical studies like stoichiometric, conductivity, magnetic moment measurements and spectral techniques such as IR, NMR, UV‐vis and EPR spectroscopy. The elemental analysis and thermal studies suggested a general stoichiometry [M(HEPDQ)Cl] for all the complexes. A four‐coordinate geometry was assigned to all the complexes. The complexes along with the parent ligand were screened for their anti‐inflammatory activity, using carrageenan‐induced rat paw edema, and for their analgesic activity by Eddy's hot plate method. The activity of the ligand was enhanced on complexation with metal ions. This enhanced activity was attributed to the increased lipophilic nature of the complexes. Notable anti‐inflammatory activity was observed for Ni(II), Cu(II) and Zn(II) complexes. The analgesic activity of the ligand was greater than the standard at 60 min. and at a 10 mg kg−1 dose, whereas the activity of Ni(II) and Cu(II) complexes at 10 mg kg−1 dose was comparable with the standard used. Phenomenological characteristics and kinetic and mechanistic aspects of the thermal decomposition of nitrate, chloride, bromide, and iodide complexes of nickel(II) with 4‐N‐(4′‐antipyrylmethylidene)aminoantipyrine have been studied using thermogravimetric (TG) and differential thermogravimetric (DTG) techniques. Kinetic parameters such as activation energy, preexponential factor, and entropy of activation were quantified. The rate‐controlling process in all stages of decomposition was found to be based on random nucleation with one nucleus on each particle according to the Mampel model. © 2006 Wiley Periodicals, Inc. The thermal behaviors of the complexes of Cu(DMTZB)4X2 (DMTZB=3,3‘-dimethyl-1-(1H-1,2,4-triazol-1-yl)-2-butanone, X=NO3 or ClO4) and Cu(DMTZB)2 X2 (X=Br or Cl) in a nitrogen atmosphere were studied under the non-isothermal conditions by simultaneous TG-DTG-DSC, EDS and elemental analysis techniques. The resuits showed that their decomposition proceeded in three different ways mainly depending on the anions in the molecules. The heat effect associated with the decomposition step of DMTZB molecules was also different. The decomposition mechanisms and the kinetic parameters of DMTZB were determined and calculated by jointly using four methods, which showed that its pyrolysis was controlled by D3 mechanism but with different activation energies and pre-exponential factors for different complexes.  相似文献

New metal ion complexes were isolated after coupling with 4‐(2,4‐dihydroxy‐5‐formylphen‐1‐ylazo)‐N ‐(4‐methylpyrimidin‐2‐yl)benzenesulfonamide (H2L) drug ligand. The structural and molecular formulae of drug derivative and its complexes were elucidated using spectral, analytical and theoretical tools. Vibrational spectral data proved that H2L behaves as a monobasic bidentate ligand through one nitrogen from azo group and ionized hydroxyl oxygen towards all metal ions. UV–visible and magnetic moment measurements indicated that Fe(III), Cr(III), Mn(II) and Ni(II) complexes have octahedral configuration whereas Cd(II), Zn(II) and Co(II) complexes are in tetrahedral form. The Cu(II)complex has square planar geometry as verified through electron spin resonance essential parameters. X‐ray diffraction data indicated the amorphous nature of all compounds with no regular arrangement for the solid constituents during the precipitation process. Transmission electron microscopy images showed homogeneous metal ion distribution on the surface of the complexes with nanometric particles. Coats–Redfern equations were applied for calculating thermo‐kinetic parameters for suitable thermal decomposition stages. Gaussian09 and quantitative structure–activity relationship modelling studies were used to verify the structural and biological features. Docking study using microorganism protein receptors was implemented to throw light on the biological behaviour of the proposed drug. The investigated ligand and metal complexes were screened for their in vitro antimicrobial activities against fungal and bacterial strains. The resulting data indicated that the investigated compounds are highly promising bactericides and fungicides. The antitumour activities of all compounds were evaluated towards human liver carcinoma (HEPG2) cell line.  相似文献

A bioactive Schiff base HL i.e. 2‐hydroxy‐benzoic acid(3,4‐dihydro‐2H ‐naphthalen‐1‐ylidene)‐hydrazide was synthesized by reacting equimolar amount of salicylic acid hydrazide and 1‐tetralone. Co(II), Ni(II) and Zn(II) complexes of ligand HL was synthesized in 1:1 and 1:2 molar ratio of metal to ligand. The structure of the synthesized ligand and metal complexes was established by elemental analysis, molar conductance, magnetic susceptibility measurements, electronic, IR and EPR spectral techniques. For determining the thermal stability the TGA has been done. In DFT studies the geometries of Schiff bases and metal complexes were fully optimized with respect to the energy using the 6–31 + g(d,p) basis set. Spectral data reveal that ligand behave uninegative tridentate in ML complexes and uninegative bidentate in ML2 complexes. On the basis of characterization octahedral geometry has been assigned for Co(II) and Ni(II) complexes, while tetrahedral for Zn(II) complexes. Antibacterial activity of the synthesized compounds were evaluated against Staphylococcus aureus , Bacillus subtilis, Escherichia coli , Xanthomonas campestris and Pseudomonas aeruginosa and the results revealed that metal complexes show enhanced activity in comparison to free ligand.  相似文献

Some of the bis‐complexes of a derivative of phenhomazine (dibenzo[b,f][1:5]diazocine‐6:12‐dione; PHZD) with Ni(II), Cu(II), Co(II), Cd(II), Zn(II) and Hg(II) of the general formula M(PHZD)2X2 [where X = C1, Br and I], were prepared and identified. These complexes have been characterised on the basis of elemental analysis, and spectroscopic, magnetic and conductance data. The thermal mode of decomposition and thermal stability of these complexes was investigated on the basis of the respective thermal curves in a static air atmosphere. The thermoanalytical investigations indicate that these complexes undergo two‐step changes as temperature is raised, except for Cd(II) and Hg(II) complexes, with the formation of metal oxides as end product. The degradation mechanism of the complexes has also been proposed.  相似文献

A new series of metal complexes containing Co(II), Pd(II), Fe(III) chloride and Cu(II) salts (chloride, bromide, sulphate and perchlorate) have been prepared with Schiff base ligand ( HL ). The synthesized compounds were elucidated using elemental analyses, spectral techniques, molar conductance, magnetic measurements and thermogravimetric studies. The analytical data established (1 M:1 L) stoichiometry for complexes ( 1 ), ( 2 ), ( 4 ), ( 6 ) and ( 7 ) as well as (1 M:2 L) and (2 M:3 L) stoichiometry for complexes ( 5 ) and ( 3 ), respectively. As a result, the ligand HL coordinates in complexes ( 1 ), ( 2 ), ( 4 ), ( 6 ) as a monobasic tridentate ONN moiety via the oxygen atom of the deprotonated phenolic OH, the nitrogen atoms of the azomethine and the imine group in pyrazolopyridine ring. While, it behaves as a neutral bidentate in complexes ( 3 , 7 ), chelates via oxygen and nitrogen atoms of enolic OH and azomethine groups. Also, in complex ( 5 ) Cu2+ ion binds via NO sits of two ligand molecules in its monobasic and neutral forms. The magnetic moment and electronic spectral data proposed octahedral structure for complexes ( 2 , 3 and 7 ) as well as triagonal bipyramidal and square pyramidal geometry for complexes ( 1 and 4 ), while, chelates ( 5 ) and ( 6 ) possess square planar geometry. TG/DTG studies confirmed the chemical formula for these complexes and established the thermal decomposition processes ended with the formation of metal or metal oxides contaminated with carbon residue. An axial electron spin resonance spectra were suggested for Cu(II) complexes pointing to 2B1g as a ground state with hyperfine structure for complex ( 4 ). In vitro antibacterial and antioxidant activities were performed for HL ligand and its metal complexes. The biological studies indicate that complex ( 3 ) has better antibacterial activity compared to the ligand and the other complexes.  相似文献

Four new lanthanide complexes [Ln(4‐EBA)3(5,5′‐DM‐2,2′‐bipy)]2·2C2H5OH (Ln = Ho ( 1 ), Tb ( 2 ), Er ( 3 )); [Ln(4‐EBA)3(4‐EBAH)(5,5′‐DM‐2,2′‐bipy)]2 (Ln = Eu( 4 ); 4‐EBA =4‐ethylbenzoate; 5,5′‐DM‐2,2′‐bipy =5,5′‐dimethy‐2,2′‐bipyridine; 4‐EBAH = 4‐ethylbenzoic acid) have been synthesized and characterized by elemental analysis and IR spectra. The single crystal results reveal that complexes 1 – 3 are isostructural. It is worth noting that the mole ratios of the carboxylate ligands and neutral ligands is 4:1 in complex 4 , which is different from the former and has been rarely reported. Nevertheless, all complexes are connected to form 1D chain by π ···π wake staking interactions. Additionally, the complexes 2 (Tb(III)) and 4 (Eu(III)) exhibit characteristic luminescent properties, indicating that ligands can be used as sensitizing chromophore in these systems. The thermal decomposition mechanism of the complexes has been investigated by TG/DSC–FTIR technology. Stacked plots of the FTIR spectra of the evolved gases show complexes broken down into H2O, CO2, and other gaseous molecules as well as the gaseous organic fragments. The studies on bacteriostatic activities of complexes show that four complexes have good bacteriostatic activities against Candida albicans but no bacteriostatic activity on Escherichia coli , and Staphylococcus aureus . Additionally, the complexes 1 to 3 have better bacteriostatic activities on Candida albicans than complex 4 .  相似文献

Three novel lanthanide complexes [Er (3,4‐DMBA)3(5,5′‐DM‐2,2′‐bipy)(H2O)] ( 1 ); [Tb2 (3,4‐DMBA)6(5,5′‐DM‐2,2′‐bipy)2(H2O)] ( 2 ); [Eu (3,4‐DMBA)3(3,4‐DMHBA)(5,5′‐DM‐2,2′‐bipy)]2 ( 3 ) (3,4‐DMHBA = 3,4‐dimethylbenzoic acid, 5,5′‐DM‐2,2′‐bipy =5,5′‐dimethyl‐2,2′‐bipyridine) were successfully synthesized via conventional solution method at room temperature and structurally characterized by single crystal diffraction. The structures of the complexes 1 – 3 were confirmed on the basis of elemental analysis, coordination titration analysis, IR and XRD. The molecular structures of complexes 2 and 3 are very particular: complex 2 has two same central metal ions but each metal ion has different coordination environment; in structure of the complex 3 , there are eight carboxylic acid ligands coordinated to the central metal ions, which have rarely been reported previously. The thermal decomposition mechanism of complexes 1 – 3 were investigated by the technology of simultaneous TG/DSC‐FTIR. The heat capacities of the complexes were recorded by means of DSC over the range of from 253.15 K to 345.15 K. The thermodynamic parameters, the smoothed values of heat capacities, enthalpy (HT‐H298.15K) and entropy (ST‐S298.15K) were also calculated. The bacteriostatic activities of the complexes were evaluated against Staphylococcus aureus, Escherichia coli and Candida albicans. What's more, the luminescence properties of complexes 2 and 3 were discussed, and their fluorescence lifetimes as well as the quantum yield of the Eu (III) were measured. To elucidate the energy transfer process of complexes 2 and 3, the energy levels of the relevant electronic states have been estimated.  相似文献

Three copper(II) complexes of the polydentate N‐donor ligand [4‐(4,6‐bis(1H‐pyrazol‐1‐yl)‐1,3,5‐triazin‐2‐yl)morpholine] (L) with chlorides, nitrates, and perchlorates as anions, namely, [CuCl2(L)] · 0.5(MeCN) ( 1 ), [Cu(NO3)2(H2O)(L)] · (MeCN) ( 2 ), and [Cu(L)2](ClO4)2 · (MeCN) ( 3 ) were synthesized and structurally characterized by IR, elemental analysis and X‐ray crystallographic analysis. In these complexes, the L ligand binds the copper(II) cation in the tridentate N3 form. The coordination arrangement around the central copper(II) atom is distorted square‐pyramidal in 1 but it is distorted octahedral in 2 and 3 . The interesting noncovalent interactions such as hydrogen bonds, π–π stacking, and anion–π interactions present in the solid‐state structures are discussed. The crystal results reveal that the counteranions play important roles in determining the diverse structures of these complexes. Moreover, the PXRD, TG, DRS, and fluorescence properties of compounds 1 – 3 were investigated.  相似文献

A series of novel trivalent lanthanide complexes, [Ln(2,3‐DMOBA)3(5,5′‐DM‐2,2′‐bipy)]2·C2H5OH (Ln = Eu(1), Sm(2), Gd(3), Ho(4) Er(5), Pr(6), Nd(7)) (2,3‐DMOBA = 2,3‐dimethoxybenzoate, 5,5′‐DM‐2,2′‐bipy = 5,5′‐dimethy‐2,2′‐bipyridine), have been successfully synthesized and structurally validated by single crystal diffraction. All complexes discussed herein feature a binuclear structure, and contain only one free ethanol molecule, which is interesting in the lanthanide complexes. The coordination number of center Ln3+ ions is nine, showing a distorted monocapped square anti‐prismatic coordination geometry. Through a pair of alternating identical C‐H···O hydrogen bonding interactions between two 2,3‐DMOBA ligands on the same lanthanum binuclear unit with 5,5′‐DM‐2,2′‐bipy ligands on two neighboring units, the binuclear complexes can form one‐ The thermal analysis of these complexes are investigated by TG‐DSC/FTIR, the result show that the decomposition process of complexes are mainly divided into four stages with the formation of the respective oxides. The visible light emission experiment of complex 1 is carried out, and the characteristic luminescence behavior of intense red light is exhibited. What'more, fluorescence lifetimes as well as the fluorescent quantum yield of complex 1 is calculated. And the magnetic properties of complexes 3–5 are also studied.  相似文献

Three adducts of the N,N′‐bidentate aromatic base 4,4′‐dimethyl‐2,2′‐bipyridine (dmbpy) of lead(II) salts, [Pb(dmbpy)2(NO3)2] ( 1 ), [Pb(dmbpy)2(ClO4)2] ( 2 ) and [Pb(dmbpy)(NCS)2]n ( 3 ) have been synthesized and characterized by elemental analysis, IR, 1H‐NMR and 13C‐NMR spectroscopy and studied by thermal analysis as well as X‐ray crystallography. The single‐crystal structures of these complexes show that the 6s electrons of lead(II) constitute a stereochemically active lone pair (SALP). The coordination numbers of the PbII ions are eight and seven, respectively. The supramolecular features in these complexes are guided/controlled by weak directional intermolecular interactions.  相似文献

This paper describes synthesis, characterization and application of a series of Cu(II) complexes with a novel 3‐thioxo‐[1,2,4,5]tetrazocane‐6,8‐dione (N4) macrocyclic ligand. The complexes were characterized by physicochemical and spectroscopic techniques, such as UV–visible and IR spectroscopies, molar conductance, magnetic susceptibility measurements, and elemental analysis. The data suggest that the mononuclear Cu(II) complexes have a metal‐to‐ligand mole ratio of 1:1 and that the Cu(II) ions are coordinated with the four nitrogen atoms inside the N4 macrocyclic ring. The experimental anisotropic g‐values indicate that the chloro, nitrato, acetate, and perchlorato complexes have six‐coordinate distorted octahedral behavior, whereas the sulfato complex has five‐coordinate square‐pyramidal geometry. A simple and nontoxic method for preparation of CuO nanoparticles based upon the thermal decomposition of the synthesized Cu(II) complexes has been explored. Finally, the degradation of Rhodamine 6G dye by the catalytic performance of nano‐sized CuO material has been evaluated.  相似文献

Energetic copper(II) complexes based on 3,5‐dinitrobenzoic acid (HDNBA) and 1,5‐diaminotetrazole (DAT), Cu(DNBA)2(H2O)2 ( 1 ) and Cu(DAT)2(DNBA)2 ( 2 ) were synthesized and characterized by elemental analysis, IR spectroscopy, single‐crystal and powder X‐ray diffraction. In both complexes, CuII was coordinated to a plane tetragon, by four oxygen atoms from two DNBA ions and two coordinated H2O molecules for 1 , and by two oxygen atoms and two nitrogen atoms from different DNBA ions and DAT ligands for 2 . Differential scanning calorimetry (DSC) and thermogravimetry (TG) analyses were employed to measure the thermal decomposition processes and non‐isothermal kinetics parameters of the complexes. The thermal decomposition onset temperatures of 1 and 2 are 321 and 177 °C. The apparent activation energies of the first exothermic decomposition peaks of 1 and 2 are 247.2 and 185.2 kJ · mol–1. Both 1 (35 J, > 360 N) and 2 (12.5 J, > 360 N) are less sensitive than RDX. The catalytic effects on the decomposition of ammonium perchlorate (AP) of 1 and 2 were studied by DSC. All results supported the potential applications of the energetic complexes as additives of solid rocket propellants.  相似文献

Nine new azodye metal complexes of Mn(II), Co(II), Ni(II), Cu(II), Cr(III), Fe(III), Ru(III), Hf(IV) and Zr(IV) ions have been prepared via the reaction of 5,5′‐((1E,1′E)‐(methylenebis(1,4‐phenylene))bis(diazene‐2,1‐diyl))bis(6‐hydroxy‐2‐thioxo‐2,3‐dihydropyrimidin‐4(5H)‐one) (H4L) with the corresponding metal salts affording sandwich (1 L:1 M), mononuclear (2 L:1 M), binuclear (1 L,2 M) and tetranuclear (1 L,4 M) complexes. Elemental analyses, spectral methods, magnetic moment measurements and thermal studies were utilized to confirm the mode of bonding and geometrical structure for the ligand and its metal complexes. Infrared spectral data show that the H4L ligand chelates with some metal ions in keto–enol–thione or keto–thione manner. It behaves in a neutral/dibasic tetradentate fashion in sandwich and binuclear complexes. Also, it acts as a neutral bidentate moiety in the Cr(III) complex. The spectra reveal that azo group participates in chelation in all complexes. Octahedral geometry was suggested for all chelates but the Cu(II) complex with square planar geometry. The thermal stability and decomposition of the compounds were studied, the data showing that the thermal decomposition ended with metal or metal oxide mixed with carbon as final product. The electron spin resonance spectrum of the Cu(II) complex demonstrates that the free electron is located in the ( ) orbital. Measurements of biological activity against human cell lines Hep‐G2 and MCF‐7 reveal that the Cu(II) complex has a higher cytotoxicity in comparison to the free ligand and other metal complexes, with IC50 values of 6.10 and 5.2 μg ml?1, respectively, while the ligand has anti‐tumour activity relative to some of the investigated metal complexes.  相似文献

Four novel metal complexes of 4,6‐bis (4‐chlorophenyl)‐2‐amino‐1,2‐dihydropyridine‐3‐carbinitrile (H2L) with Zn(II), Zr(IV), Ce(IV) and U(VI) were synthesized. The structure was elucidated using elemental analysis, melting point, molar conductivity; spectroscopic techniques (IR, 1H NMR, UV–Vis., mass spectra) as well as thermo gravimetric analysis. The spectroscopic data proved that H2L chelated with the metal ions as a bidentate ligand through Namino and Ncarbinitrile atoms. The molecular structure of the complexes was determined using density functional theory (DFT). The central metal ion in each complex is six‐coordinate and the angles around it vary from 62.74° to 166.46°; these values agree with distorted octahedral geometry. The calculated total energy of the complexes found in the region – 406.342 to ?459.717 au and the dipole moment change from 4.675 to 13.171D. The antibacterial and antifungal activities of the ligand, metal salts and complexes were estimated on some microorganisms. The complexes showed significant antibacterial profile in comparison to the free ligand.  相似文献
