In this paper, we consider a class of optimal control problems involving a second-order, linear parabolic partial differential equation with Neumann boundary conditions. The time-delayed arguments are assumed to appear in the boundary conditions. A necessary and sufficient condition for optimality is derived, and an iterative method for solving this optimal control problem is proposed. The convergence property of this iterative method is also investigated.On the basis of a finite-element Galerkin's scheme, we convert the original distributed optimal control problem into a sequence of approximate problems involving only lumped-parameter systems. A computational algorithm is then developed for each of these approximate problems. For illustration, a one-dimensional example is solved.  相似文献

We study the problem of optimal control with impulsive component for systems described by abstract Sobolev-type differential equations with unbounded operator coefficients in Hilbert spaces. The operator coefficient of the time derivative may be noninvertible. The main assumption is a restriction imposed on the resolvent of the characteristic operator pencil in a certain right half plane. Applications to Sobolevtype partial differential equations are discussed.  相似文献

This paper considers some typical optimal control problems for a class of strongly nonlinear parabolic systems. After some necessary preparation, it is shown that the family of admissible trajectories is a weakly closed and weakly sequentially compact subset of a reflexive Banach space and that the set of attainable states at any given time is a weakly compact subset of a Hilbert space. Using these basic results, proofs of existence of optimal controls are presented. A terminal control problem, a special Bolza problem, and a time optimal control problem are solved, and the necessary conditions of optimality for the corresponding control problems are given.  相似文献

State feedback design for linear parabolic systems with in-domain actuation and general Robin boundary conditions is considered. To this end the system is shown to be state equivalent to a boundary controlled system. By means of the backstepping transformation the latter system is shown to be feedback equivalent to a stable parabolic equation. ABSTRACT

In this paper, we study a distributed optimal control problem of a coupled nonlinear system of reaction–diffusion equations. The system consists of three partial differential equations to represent cancer cell density, matrix-degrading enzymes concentration and oxygen concentration, and an ordinary differential equation to describe the extracellular matrix concentration. Our aim is to minimize the growth of cancer cells by controlling the production of matrix-degrading enzymes. First, we prove the existence and uniqueness of solutions of the direct problem. Then, we prove the existence of an optimal control. Finally, we derive the first-order optimality conditions and prove the existence of weak solutions of the adjoint problem.  相似文献

Optimal control of parabolic variational inequalities is studied in the case where the spatial domain is not necessarily bounded. First, strong and weak solutions concepts for the variational inequality are proposed and existence results are obtained by a monotone and a finite difference technique.
