We establish the order of approximation by Riesz means of the Fourier series in a multiplicative system of a class of functions with given majorant of the sequence of best approximations. In some cases, approximations by Riesz means and best approximations are considered in a specific space, but, in other cases, approximations by Riesz means are considered in spaces with a stronger norm.  相似文献

We construct the Riesz tensor product of Archimedean Riesz spaces and derive its properties using functional calculus and f-algebras. We improve results on the approximation of elements in the Riesz tensor product by means of elements in the vector space tensor product in such a way that the order density property is a consequence of the improved approximation result.  相似文献

研究了球面带型平移网络逼近阶用球面调和多项式的最佳逼近及光滑模的刻画问题.借助于球调和多项式的最佳逼近多项式和Riesz平均构造出了单位球面Sq上的带形平移网络,并建立了球面带形平移网络对Lp(Sq)中函数一致逼近的Jackson型定理.所得结果表明球面带形平移网络可以达到球调和多项式的逼近阶.  相似文献

We relate fractional derivatives of some operators to the rate of best approximation from a space of eigenfunctions of those operators. This is done via the introduction of "fractional" K-functionals and appropriate Riesz means. We study the problem of state reconstruction for exactly observable systems. Here we present two approaches for state reconstruction, the Riesz basis approach and the dual Hilbert uniqueness method (HUM) based on an iteration algorithm. In this paper,we consider a Riesz space-fractional reaction-dispersion equation (RSFRDE).The RSFRDE is obtained from the classical reaction-dispersion equation by replacing the second-order space derivative with a Riesz derivative of orderβ∈(1,2]. We propose an implicit finite difference approximation for RSFRDE.The stability and convergence of the finite difference approximations are analyzed.Numerical results are found in good agreement with the theoretical analysis.  相似文献

In this paper, time‐splitting spectral approximation technique has been proposed for Chen‐Lee‐Liu (CLL) equation involving Riesz fractional derivative. The proposed numerical technique is efficient, unconditionally stable, and of second‐order accuracy in time and of spectral accuracy in space. Moreover, it conserves the total density in the discretized level. In order to examine the results, with the aid of weighted shifted Grünwald‐Letnikov formula for approximating Riesz fractional derivative, Crank‐Nicolson weighted and shifted Grünwald difference (CN‐WSGD) method has been applied for Riesz fractional CLL equation. The comparison of results reveals that the proposed time‐splitting spectral method is very effective and simple for obtaining single soliton numerical solution of Riesz fractional CLL equation.  相似文献

As a generalization of the notion of Riesz seminorm, a class of seminorms on directed partially ordered vector spaces is introduced, such that (1) every seminorm in the class can be extended to a Riesz seminorm on every larger Riesz space that is majorized and (2) a seminorm on an order dense linear subspace of a Riesz space is in the class if and only if it can be extended to a Riesz seminorm on the Riesz space. The latter property yields that if a directed partially ordered vector space has an appropriate Riesz completion, then a seminorm on the space is in the class if and only if it is the restriction of a Riesz seminorm on the Riesz completion. An explicit formula for the extension is given. The class of seminorms is described by means of a notion of solid unit ball in partially ordered vector spaces. Some more properties concerning restriction and extension are studied, including extension to L- and M-seminorms.  相似文献

We focus on two topics that are related to moduli of elements in partially ordered vector spaces. First, we relate operators that preserve moduli to generalized notions of lattice homomorphisms, such as Riesz homomorphisms, Riesz* homomorphisms, and positive disjointness preserving operators. We also consider complete Riesz homomorphisms, which generalize order continuous lattice homomorphisms. Second, we characterize elements with a modulus by means of disjoint elements and apply this result to obtain moduli of functionals and operators in various settings. On spaces of continuous functions, we identify those differences of Riesz* homomorphisms that have a modulus. Many of our results for pre-Riesz spaces of continuous functions lead to results on order unit spaces, where the functional representation is used.
