Abstract

In this paper we show that a regular ring R is a generalized stable ring if and only if for every x ∈ R, there exist a w ∈ K(R) and a group G in R such that wx ∈ G. Also we show that if R is a generalized stable regular ring, then for any A ∈ M n (R), there exist right invertible matrices U 1, U 2 ∈ M n (R) and left invertible matrices V 1, V 2 ∈ M n (R) such that U 1 V 1 AU 2 V 2 = diag(e 1,…, e n ) for some idempotents e 1,…, e n  ∈ R.  相似文献

Using the concept of prime submodule for M ∈ R-Mod, P ∈ Spec(M), and N ∈ σ[M], we define when N is P-Mtame \ (Mtame) module. This concept generalizes the concept\ of P-tame (tame) modules. For M ∈ R-Mod and τ ∈M-tors, we use the concept of τ M -Gabriel dimension and we study the relationship between Mtame modules and τ M -Gabriel dimension. We find equivalent conditions for a module M progenerator in σ[M] with τ M -Gabriel dimension to have τ M -Gabriel correspondence in terms of the P-Mtame modules. This result extends the results by Albu et al. and Kim and Krause.  相似文献

Let (R, 𝔪) be a commutative, noetherian, local ring, E the injective hull of the residue field R/𝔪, and M ○○ = Hom R (Hom R (M, E), E) the bidual of an R-module M. We investigate the elements of Ass(M ○○) as well as those of Coatt(M) = {𝔭 ∈ Spec(R)|𝔭 = Ann R (Ann M (𝔭))} and provide criteria for equality in one of the two inclusions Ass(M) ? Ass(M ○○) ? Coatt(M). If R is a Nagata ring and M a minimax module, i.e., an extension of a finitely generated R-module by an artinian R-module, we show that Ass(M ○○) = Ass(M) ∪ {𝔭 ∈ Coatt(M)| R/𝔭 is incomplete}.  相似文献

When D is a commutative integral domain with field of fractions K, the ring Int(D) = {f ∈ K[x] | f(D) ? D} of integer-valued polynomials over D is well-understood. This article considers the construction of integer-valued polynomials over matrix rings with entries in an integral domain. Given an integral domain D with field of fractions K, we define Int(M n (D)): = {f ∈ M n (K)[x] | f(M n (D)) ? M n (D)}. We prove that Int(M n (D)) is a ring and investigate its structure and ideals. We also derive a generating set for Int(M n (?)) and prove that Int(M n (?)) is non-Noetherian.  相似文献

Let (Mr)r?0 be a logarithmically convex sequence of positive numbers which verifies M0 = 1 as well as Mr ≥ 1 for every r ∈ ? and defines a non quasi - analytic class. Let moreover F be a closed proper subset of ?n. Then for every function f on ?n belonging to the non quasi - analytic (Mr)-class of Beurling type, there is an element g of the same class which is analytic on ?,n F and such that Dαf(x) = Dαg(x) for every α ∈ ?n0 and xF.  相似文献

Suppose V is a vector space with dim V = p ≥ q ≥ ?0, and let T(V) denote the semigroup (under composition) of all linear transformations of V. For α ∈ T (V), let ker α and ran α denote the “kernel” and the “range” of α, and write n(α) = dim ker α and d(α) = codim ran α. In this article, we study the semigroups AM(p, q) = {α ∈ T(V):n(α) < q} and AE(p, q) = {α ∈ T(V):d(α) < q}. First, we determine whether they belong to the class of all semigroups whose sets of bi-ideals and quasi-ideals coincide. Then, for each semigroup, we describe its maximal regular subsemigroup, and we characterise its Green's relations and (two-sided) ideals. As a precursor to further work in this area,, we also determine all the maximal right simple subsemigroups of AM(p, q).  相似文献

For a commutative ring R with identity, an ideal-based zero-divisor graph, denoted by Γ I (R), is the graph whose vertices are {x ∈ R?I | xy ∈ I for some y ∈ R?I}, and two distinct vertices x and y are adjacent if and only if xy ∈ I. In this article, we investigate an annihilator ideal-based zero-divisor graph by replacing the ideal I with the annihilator ideal Ann(M) for a multiplication R-module M. Based on the above-mentioned definition, we examine some properties of an R-module over a von Neumann regular ring, and the cardinality of an R-module associated with Γ Ann(M)(R).  相似文献

Suppose that V is a finite faithful irreducible G-module where G is a finite solvable group of odd order. We prove if the action is quasi-primitive, then either F(G) is abelian or G has at least 212 regular orbits on V. As an application, we prove that when V is a finite faithful completely reducible G-module for a solvable group G of odd order, then there exists v ∈ V such that C G (v) ? F 2(G) (where F 2(G) is the 2nd ascending Fitting subgroup of G). We also generalize a result of Espuelas and Navarro. Let G be a group of odd order and let H be a Hall π-subgroup of G. Let V be a faithful G-module over a finite field of characteristic 2, then there exists v ∈ V such that C H (v) ? O π(G).  相似文献

The asymptotic solution of the Korteweg-de Vries equation uτ + ?uxxx + 2uux = 0 for initial conditions from which no solitons evolve is obtained as a slowly varying similarity solution of the form τ?2/3(Vz?V2, where V = V(z/τ) and z = τ?1/3x. The results are consistent with, but go somewhat beyond, those recently obtained by Ablowitz and Segur [2] through a rather different approach.  相似文献

Let R be a commutative ring with identity. Various generalizations of prime ideals have been studied. For example, a proper ideal I of R is weakly prime (resp., almost prime) if a, b ∈ R with ab ∈ I ? {0} (resp., ab ∈ I ? I 2) implies a ∈ I or b ∈ I. Let φ:?(R) → ?(R) ∪ {?} be a function where ?(R) is the set of ideals of R. We call a proper ideal I of R a φ-prime ideal if a, b ∈ R with ab ∈ I ? φ(I) implies a ∈ I or b ∈ I. So taking φ?(J) = ? (resp., φ0(J) = 0, φ2(J) = J 2), a φ?-prime ideal (resp., φ0-prime ideal, φ2-prime ideal) is a prime ideal (resp., weakly prime ideal, almost prime ideal). We show that φ-prime ideals enjoy analogs of many of the properties of prime ideals.  相似文献

Under what conditions is it true that if there is a graph homomorphism GHGT, then there is a graph homomorphism HT? Let G be a connected graph of odd girth 2k + 1. We say that G is (2k + 1)‐angulated if every two vertices of G are joined by a path each of whose edges lies on some (2k + 1)‐cycle. We call G strongly (2k + 1)‐angulated if every two vertices are connected by a sequence of (2k + 1)‐cycles with consecutive cycles sharing at least one edge. We prove that if G is strongly (2k + 1)‐angulated, H is any graph, S, T are graphs with odd girth at least 2k + 1, and ?: GHST is a graph homomorphism, then either ? maps G□{h} to S□{th} for all hV(H) where thV(T) depends on h; or ? maps G□{h} to {sh}□ T for all hV(H) where shV(S) depends on h. This theorem allows us to prove several sufficient conditions for a cancelation law of a graph homomorphism between two box products with a common factor. We conclude the article with some open questions. © 2008 Wiley Periodicals, Inc. J Graph Theory 58:221‐238, 2008  相似文献

Let G be a nonabelian group and associate a noncommuting graph ?(G) with G as follows: The vertex set of ?(G) is G\Z(G) with two vertices x and y joined by an edge whenever the commutator of x and y is not the identity. In 1987, Professor J. G. Thompson gave the following conjecture.

Thompson's Conjecture. If G is a finite group with Z(G) = 1 and M is a nonabelian simple group satisfying N(G) = N(M), then G ? M, where N(G):={n ∈ ? | G has a conjugacy class of size n}.

In 2006, A. Abdollahi, S. Akbari, and H. R. Maimani put forward a conjecture (AAM's conjecture) in Abdollahi et al. (2006) as follows.

AAM's Conjecture. Let M be a finite nonabelian simple group and G a group such that ?(G) ? ? (M). Then G ? M.

In this short article we prove that if G is a finite group with ?(G) ? ? (A 10), then G ? A 10, where A 10 is the alternating group of degree 10.  相似文献

We consider a strictly convex domain D n and m holomorphic functions, φ1,…, φm, in a domain . We set V = {z ε Ω: φ1(z) = ··· = φm(z) = 0}, M = VD and ∂M = V ∩ ∂D. Under the assumptions that the variety V has no singular point on ∂M and that V meets ∂D transversally we construct an explicit kernel K(ζ, z) defined for ζ ε ∂M and z ε D so that the integral operator Ef(z) = ∝ ζ ε ∂M f(ζ) K(ζ, z) (z ε D), defined for f ε H(M) (using the boundary values f(ζ) for a.e. ζ ε ∂M), is an extension operator, i.e., Ef(z) = f(z) for z ε M and furthermore E is a bounded operator from H to H(D).  相似文献

Let Ξ=(ξ i ) l n be a sequence of vectors inR m . The box splineM Ξ is defined as the distribution given by $$M_\Xi :\varphi \to \int_{[0,1]^n } \varphi \left( {\sum\limits_{i = 1}^n {\lambda (i)\xi _i } } \right)d\lambda ,\varphi \in C_c^\infty (R^m ).$$ . Suppose that Ξ contains a basis forR m . ThenM ΞL (R m ). Assume $$\Xi \subset V: = z^m .$$ . Consider the translatesM v :=M Ξ(·?v),vV. It is known that (M v ) V is linearly dependent unless (*) $$|\det Z| = 1forallbasesZ \subset \Xi$$ . This paper demonstrates that under condition (*), (M v ) V is locally linearly independent, i.e., $$\{ M_v ;\sup p M_v \cap A \ne \not 0\}$$ is linearly independent over any open setA.  相似文献

Abstract

For vector spaces V and W over a field F, L F (V, W) denotes the set of all linear transformations α : V → W, and for a cardinal number k > 0, let L F (V, W, k) be the set of all α ∈ L F (V, W) of rank less than k. For θ ∈ L F (W, V), let (L F (V, W, k), θ) denote the semigroup L F (V, W, k) under the operation ? defined by α ? β = αθβ for all α, β ∈ L F (V, W, k). In this paper, all 0-minimal quasi-ideals of the semigroup (L F (V, W, k), θ) are completely characterized. It is also shown from this characterization that every nonzero semigroup (L F (V, W, k), θ) always has a 0-minimal quasi-ideal.  相似文献

Let 𝕂 denote an algebraically closed field of characteristic zero. Let V denote a vector space over 𝕂 with finite positive dimension. By a Leonard triple on V, we mean an ordered triple of linear transformations A, A*, A ? in End(V) such that for each B ∈ {A, A*, A ?} there exists a basis for V with respect to which the matrix representing B is diagonal and the matrices representing the other two linear transformations are irreducible tridiagonal. The diameter of the Leonard triple (A, A*, A ?) is defined to be one less than the dimension of V. In this paper we define a family of Leonard triples said to be Bannai/Ito type and classify these Leonard triples with even diameters up to isomorphism. Moreover, we show that each of them satisfies the ?3-symmetric Askey–Wilson relations.  相似文献

Let B be a Galois algebra over a commutative ring R with Galois group G such that B H is a separable subalgebra of B for each subgroup H of G. Then it is shown that B satisfies the fundamental theorem if and only if B is one of the following three types: (1) B is an indecomposable commutative Galois algebra, (2) B = Re ⊕ R(1 ? e) where e and 1 ? e are minimal central idempotents in B, and (3) B is an indecomposable Galois algebra such that for each separable subalgebra A, V B (A) = ?∑ gG(A) J g , and the centers of A and B G(A) are the same where V B (A) is the commutator subring of A in B, J g  = {b ∈ B | bx = g(x)b for each x ∈ B} for a g ∈ G, and G(A) = {g ∈ G | g(a) = a for all a ∈ A}.  相似文献

Let α be an ordinal and κ be a cardinal, both infinite, such that κ ≤ |α|. For τ ∈αα, let sup(τ) = {i ∈ α: τ(i) ≠ i}. Let G κ = {τ ∈αα: |sup(τ)| < κ}. We consider variants of polyadic equality algebras by taking cylindrifications on Γ ? α, |Γ| < κ and substitutions restricted to G κ. Such algebras are also enriched with generalized diagonal elements. We show that for any variety V containing the class of representable algebas and satisfying a finite schema of equations, V fails to have the amalgamation property. In particular, many varieties of Halmos’ quasi-polyadic equality algebras and Lucas’ extended cylindric algebras (including that of the representable algebras) fail to have the amalgamation property.  相似文献
