Using the perturbation method and the effective-mass approximation, we studied the combined effects of hydrostatic pressure and temperature on Raman scattering in a disc-shaped quantum dot with a parabolic potential in the presence of an electric field. The differential cross-section involved in this process is calculated. Numerical calculations on a typical GaAs quantum dot are performed. The results show that not only the impurity but also the temperature and the hydrostatic pressure have an influence on the differential cross-section of the system. 相似文献

The properties of the spin-flip Raman laser (SFR laser) which depend on stimulated Raman scattering from mobile conduction
electrons in InSb under an external magnetic field are presented. The essential parameters are derived from a macroscopic
treatment of the stimulated Raman effect and the microscopic theory of the scattering cross-section, and are compared with
experimental results. Output pulse powers as large as 1 kW have been measured for 10.6 and 5.3 μm excitation radiation and
continuous powers of 1 W for continuous excitation with a 5.3 μm pump source. The SFR laser offers some interesting applications
in physics and chemistry, since its frequency is proportional to the applied magnetic field and its linewidth can be made

The differential cross section for an electron Raman scattering process in a semiconductor GaAs/AlGaAs double quantum well wire is calculated,and expressions for the electronic states are presented.The system is modeled by considering T = 0 K and also with a single parabolic conduction band,which is split into a subband system due to the confinement.The gain and differential cross-section for an electron Raman scattering process are obtained.In addition,the emission spectra for several scattering configurations are discussed,and interpretations of the singularities found in the spectra are given.The electron Raman scattering studied here can be used to provide direct information about the efficiency of the lasers. 相似文献

We have presented a theoretical study on electron resonant Raman scattering (ERRS) process associated with the bulk longitudinal optical (LO), surface optical (SO) and quasi-confined (QC) phonon modes in a free-standing wurtzite nanowire (NW). We consider the Fröhlich electron–phonon interaction in the framework of the dielectric continuum model. Numerical calculations on the GaN material reveal that differential cross-section (DCS) is sensitive to the wire size. The bulk LO and high-frequency quasi-confined (QC+) phonons make main contributions to the DCS and the impact of the SO phonon can be negligible in the ERRS process. Moreover, scattering intensity of the bulk LO phonon is strongly enhanced as the incident photon energy approaches the energy band-gap of the GaN. 相似文献

We re-examine the theory of Raman scattering in cubic crystals. The unconventional vector potential of vortex light leads to new selection rules. We show that in this novel optical process, (a) silent phonon modes become active and (b) scattering tensors change for ordinary Raman active phonon modes. Calculation based on a simplified model shows that the vortex Raman scattering intensity can be comparable with that of ordinary Raman process. 相似文献

The differential cross-section for electronic Raman scattering in double semi-parabolic quantum wells of typical GaAs/AlxGa1-x As is investigated numerically with the effective-mass approximation. The dependence of the differential cross-section on structural parameters such as the barrier width and the well widths is studied. Our results indicate that the electronic Raman scattering is affected by the geometrical size and can be negligible in the symmetric double-well case. 相似文献

We report the electron resonant Raman scattering (ERRS) process related to the longitudinal optical (LO), interface optical (IO) and quasi-confined (QC) phonons in a cylindrical GaN-AlN quantum well wire (QWW). We present the differential cross-section (DCS) and study the selection rules. Results reveal that the emitted photon frequency decreases with increasing the radius because of the size-selective Raman scattering effect and the built-in electric field. The contribution to the DCS mainly stems from the GaN-type LO (LO1), QC and IO phonons when the wire is thin, but the LO1 and QC phonons are dominant for the thick wire. 相似文献

The normal Raman and surface enhanced Raman scattering spectra were obtained for 6-mercaptopurine riboside. The mode of interaction between 6-MPR and an adatom on a silver electrode surface was studied using density functional theory calculations. Two functionals, B3LYP and DVWN, were used in the analysis. The calculations were performed on the ionized and non-ionized forms of 6-MPR, with the silver ions attached to the three possible coordination sites, N1, N3 and N7 of the molecule. The analysis was performed based on the zero-point-energy as well as adsorption and solvation energies. Results of the B3LYP and DVWN calculations were consistent and established that coordination through the N7 of 6-MPR was the most energetically favorable of the three coordination sites. The analysis was unable to determine, with a high degree of accuracy, whether the molecule adsorbs on the surface in its non-ionized or ionized form. 相似文献

Based on the effective mass and parabolic one-band approximations, the differential cross-section for the intersubband electron Raman scattering process in a single and multilayered spherical quantum dots is investigated. The influence of an on-center hydrogenic impurity and geometrical parameters such as the well and barrier widths on the differential cross-section is studied. Results show that the number, the position and the magnitude of the peaks of emission spectra, considerably depend on the presence of the hydrogenic impurity as well as geometrical parameters. Results also reveal that the magnitude of the peaks significantly depend on the polarization vectors of incident and scattered lights. 相似文献

噻菌灵(TBZ)属苯并咪唑类杀菌剂,容易在水果、蔬菜及相应的果蔬饮品中形成有毒残留。基于密度泛函理论(DFT)的量子化学计算方法和表面增强拉曼光谱(SERS)技术,从理论和实验角度系统研究了噻菌灵在纳米银胶粒子表面的吸附行为和增强效应。采用柠檬酸钠还原法制备了具有表面增强拉曼散射活性的银纳米溶胶,并对水相的噻菌灵进行了SERS光谱研究。利用TBZ-Ag4四种吸附模型对噻菌灵与银纳米溶胶的相互作用进行了理论分析。结合FT-Raman光谱和B3LYP/6-311G(d)理论计算的结果,借助Gaussian View5.0程序的图形化功能,对噻菌灵分子的振动模式、FT-Raman振动光谱和SERS光谱进行了系统的指认。研究结果表明:噻菌灵分子的所有原子在同一平面上,属于Cs对称性;其在银纳米溶胶表面具有十分显著的表面增强拉曼活性;分子中的S原子与银胶粒子发生吸附作用,并通过该分子的长轴方向垂直于银纳米银胶表面;可利用SERS光谱方法对痕量的噻菌灵进行快速检测。为研究噻菌灵的特性以及其快速检测提供了理论和实验依据。 相似文献

The differential cross-section for an intersubband electron Raman scattering process in a strained InGaN/GaN quantum well in the presence of an intense laser field is studied. In the effective-mass approximation, the electronic structure is calculated by taking into account the effects of spontaneous and piezoelectric polarization fields on the confinement potential. Effects of laser field strength, indium composition and the well width on the differential cross-section of the strained quantum well are investigated.
