DNA-binding properties of a number of ruthenium complexes with different polypyridine ligands are reported. The new polypyridine ligand BFIP (=2-benzo[b] furan-2-yl-1H-imidazo[4,5-f][1,10]phenanthroline) and its ruthenium complexes [Ru(bpy)2BFIP]2+ (bpy = 2,2′-bipyridine), [Ru(dmb)2BFIP]2+ (dmb = 4,4′-dimethyl-2,2′-bipyridine), and [Ru(phen)2BFIP]2+ (phen = 1,10-phenanthroline) have been synthesized and characterized by elemental analysis, mass spectra, IR, UV-Vis, 1H- and 13C-NMR, and cyclic voltammetry. The DNA binding of these complexes to calf-thymus DNA (CT-DNA) was investigated by spectrophotometric, fluorescence, and viscosity measurements. The results suggest that ruthenium(II) complexes bind to CT-DNA through intercalation. Photocleavage of pBR 322 DNA by these complexes was also studied, and [Ru(phen)2BFIP]2+ was found to be a much better photocleavage agent than the other two complexes.  相似文献

Synthetic methods toward ruthenium(II) complexes incorporating the benzo[i]dipyrido[3,2-a:2',3'-c]phenazine-11,16-quinone ligand, qdppn, are reported. In several cases, it was found that complexes containing coordinated benzo[i]dipyrido[3,2-a:2',3'-c]phenazine, dppn, could be chemically or photochemically oxidized to their qdppn analogues. Since this method was not possible in all the cases, a new, higher yielding, convenient synthesis of qdppn was developed. The crystal structure of the complex [Ru(phen)(2)(qppn)](PF(6))(2) (phen = 1,10-phenanthroline) which was synthesized from free qdppn reveals that a combination of π-π stacking between coordinated phen and qdppn units, as well as anion-ligand hydrogen bonding, define large hexagonal channels which are occupied by anions and solvent molecules. Electrochemical and photophysical studies reveal that the new qdppn-based complexes are not luminescent and, in contrast to their dppn analogues, they are also poor singlet oxygen sensitizers. Time-resolved studies and density functional theory (DFT) calculations indicate that optical properties of the new complexes are due to a short-lived charge separated state involving the quinone moiety of qdppn. The DNA binding properties of the new complexes have also been investigated. It was found that they are intercalators, displaying binding affinities which are comparable to their dppn analogues.  相似文献

Reacting transition metal complexes in low oxidation states, containing one or two cyanide ligands, with methyltrioxorhenium(VII) leads to bridged mixed metal compounds in good yields. The Re(VII) core is then surrounded by five or six ligands, respectively. The strength of these CN bridges and thus the stability of the newly generated bimetallic compound strongly depends on the donor strength of the ligands surrounding of the Cr/Mo/W or Fe moiety. The stability of the mixed metal molecules is reflected in the temperature dependent behavior of their 17O-NMR spectra, in their IR (Re=O) stretching frequencies and force constants, as well as several other spectroscopic data. UV–vis absorption spectra show the appearance of charge transfer bands. In the case of the mixed Mo/Re complexes the 95Mo-NMR spectroscopy is also a helpful tool to examine the donor capability of the Mo moiety. The described compounds also show photosensitivity.  相似文献

The present work reports the synthesis and spectroscopic and electrochemical characterization of homoleptic copper(I) complexes with substituted pirazino [2,3-f]-1,10-phenanthroline, RpplR′, (R = H, Me, COOH or COOMe, and R′ = H, Me) as ligand. The ligand ppl works as an acceptor of electronic density, which is delocalized mainly in the quinoxaline part of its structure. The UV–Vis spectra show that all the complexes display bands in the range 400–650 nm, which are MLCT in character. The λmax and extinction coefficients of the MLCT band at 450 nm and the LC band do not change significatively when varying the R substituent. Nevertheless, the intensity of the shoulder around 500 nm does change; this absorption has been related to either a static or dynamic flattening distortion of the complex D2d → D2 symmetry. The cyclic voltammetry of the complexes shows irreversible redox processes with Ep values that do not follow the tendency expected from the donor/acceptor character of the substituents on the ligand. All the complexes studied showed no emission both in acetonitrile and dichloromethane as solvent at room temperature and under argon atmosphere.  相似文献

The ligand, N,N′-bis-(4-methoxy-benzylidene)-ethane-1,2-diamine (mb2en), and its corresponding copper(I) complexes, [Cu(mb2en)2]ClO4 (1), and [Cu(mb2en)(PPh3)2]BPh4 (2), have been synthesized and characterized by CHN analyses, 1H and 13C-NMR, IR, and UV-Vis spectroscopies. The crystal and molecular structure of [Cu(mb2en)2]ClO4 (1), were determined by X-ray crystallography from a single-crystal. The coordination polyhedron about copper(I) is best described as a distorted tetrahedron. Quasi-irreversible redox behavior was observed for 1 and 2 (E 1/2?=?0.55 and 0.95?V, respectively).  相似文献

The Re(I) complexes bearing 2,6-bis(7-azaindolyl)phenyl ligand as a tridentate ligand were synthesized by treatment with Re2(CO)10. The structures of the complexes were confirmed by X-ray crystallography. Both 7-azaindolyl ligands of Re(I) complexes are present in butterfly forms. The Re-Cipso bonds showed a partial double bond character by π back-donation between the phenyl moiety and Re atom. In THF solution at room temperature, these complexes exhibited green emission (λem=510 nm), which is considered to be attributable to MLCT (dz2(Re) →π* (7-azaindolyl group)) transition containing π→π* (7-azaindolyl group) transition.  相似文献

4-Methyl-2-(2-hydroxyphenyl)imidazo[4,5-f][1,10]phenanthroline) (MHPIP) and its complexes [Co(bpy)2MHPIP]3+ (1) (bpy = 2,2′-bipyridine), [Co(dmb)2MHPIP]3+ (2) (dmb = 4,4′-dimethyl-2,2′-bipyridine), and [Co(phen)2MHPIP]3+ (3) (phen = 1,10-phenanthroline) have been synthesized and characterized by UV/VIS, IR, EA, 1H, 13C-NMR, and mass spectra. The binding of the three complexes with calf-thymus-DNA (CT-DNA) has been investigated by absorption and emission spectroscopy, DNA-melting techniques, viscosity measurements, and DNA cleavage assay. The spectroscopic data and viscosity results indicate that these complexes bind to CT-DNA via an intercalative mode. The complexes also promote photocleavage of plasmid pBR322 DNA and were screened for antimicrobial activity.  相似文献

Two novel coordination polymers [Cu3(1,3-BDC)4(Dpq)2] (1) and [Cu2(BTC)(OH)(Dpq)2] · H2O (2), have been hydrothermally synthesized by self-assembly of aromatic polycarboxylate ligands 1,3-H2BDC (1,3-H2BDC = 1,3-benzenedicarboxylate) or H3BTC (H3BTC = 1,3,5-benzenetricarboxylate), chelating ligand Dpq (Dpq = dipyrido[3,2-d:2′,3′-f]quinoxaline), and copper chloride. X-ray diffraction analysis reveals that each trinuclear CuII cluster is bridged by two coordination modes of 1,3-BDC ligands to form one-dimensional (1-D) chain structure in complex 1. Complex 2 possesses a two-dimensional (2-D) layer network composed of dinuclear [Cu2(OH)(Dpq)2] unit and bridging ligand BTC. The adjacent chains for 1 or the adjacent layers for 2 are further linked by π-π stacking interactions to form the three-dimensional (3-D) supramolecular frameworks. Moreover, the electrochemical properties of the two copper(II) complexes bulk-modified carbon paste electrodes (Cu-CPEs: 1-CPE and 2-CPE) have been studied, and the results indicate that both Cu-CPEs give one-electron quasi-reversible redox waves in potential range of 600 to −400 mV due to the metal copper ion Cu(II)/Cu(I). The Cu-CPEs have good electrocatalytic activities toward the reduction of nitrite and bromate in 0.1 M pH 2 phosphates buffer solution, and have remarkable long term stability and especially good surface renewability by simple mechanical polishing in the event of surface fouling, which is important for practical application.  相似文献

A series of [Rh(COD)(X2-bipy)]BF4 complexes (COD = 1,5-cyclooctadiene; X2-bipy = 4,4′-disubstituted 2,2′-bipyridines; X = OCH3, CH3, H, Cl or NO2) has been prepared from [Rh(COD)Cl]2. The complexes for X = OCH3, Cl and NO2 have not been described previously in the literature. All complexes have been characterised by elemental analysis, IR, 1H NMR and UV-Vis spectrometry. This series of complexes presents a wide variation on electron density over the metal centre with virtually no variation on its steric environment which discloses interesting possibilities for catalytic and electro-catalytic studies. A preliminary evaluation of these complexes on the hydroformylation of camphene and β-pinene showed that under the rather drastic conditions employed the complexes acted as a precursor for [Rh(CO)3H], which accounts for most of the catalytic activity.  相似文献

Six organophosphine/phosphite stabilized silver(I) complexes of 2-acetyl-1,3-indandione (2-AID) of type Ln·AgC11H7O3 (L = PPh3; n = 1, 2a; n = 2, 2b; L = P(OMe)3; n = 1, 2c; n = 2, 2d; L = P(OEt)3; n = 1, 2e; n = 2, 2f) have been prepared by reacting of [AgC11H7O3], which could be obtained by reacting of 2-AID with AgNO3, with triphenylphosphine, trimethylphosphite, or triethylphosphite in 1:1–2 M ratio. These complexes were obtained in high yields and characterized by elemental analysis, 1H, 13C{H} NMR, IR spectroscopy, and thermal analysis (TG and DSC), respectively. The molecular structure of 2a has been determined by X-ray single crystal analysis in which the silver atom is in a distorted trigonal geometry.  相似文献

A novel ligand dipyrido[1,2,5]oxadiazolo[3,4-b]quinoxaline (dpoq) and its complexes [Ru(bpy)2(dpoq)]2+ and [Ru(phen)2(dpoq)]2+ (bpy = 2,2′-bipyridine; phen = 1,10-phenanthroline) have been synthesized and characterized by elemental analysis, electrospray mass spectra and 1H NMR. The interaction of Ru(II) complexes with calf thymus DNA (CT-DNA) was investigated by absorption spectroscopy, fluorescence spectroscopy, thermal denaturation and viscosity measurements. Results suggest that two Ru(II) complexes bind to DNA via an intercalative mode.  相似文献

Copper(I) halide complexes having thermally activated delayed fluorescence (TADF) and phosphorescence have attracted much attention. Here, a series of four-coordinate dinuclear copper(I) halide complexes, [CuX(bpbp)]2 (bpbp = 2,2′-bis(diphenylphosphino)biphenyl, X = I (1), Br (2) and Cl (3)), were synthesized, and their molecular structures and photophysical properties were investigated. The structural analysis reveals that two copper(I) centers are bridged by two halogen ligands to form a dinuclear structure with a four-membered Cu2X2 ring. These complexes exhibit yellow to blue emission in the solid state at room temperature and have peak emission wavelengths at 575–487 nm with microsecond lifetimes (τ = 6.2–19.8 μs) and low emission quantum yields (<0.01%). The emissions of 13 originate from MLCT, XLCT, and IL (intraligand) transitions. Three complexes displayed good thermal stability.  相似文献

The chemistry of first row transition metal complexes obtained from the ligand dipyrido[3,2-f:2′,3′-h]-quinoxaline (dpq) have been reported. The reaction between Cu(ClO4)2 · 6H2O with dpq under different reaction conditions led to the isolation of three polymorphic copper(II) complexes [Cu(dpq)2(H2O)](ClO4)2 · H2O (2), [Cu(dpq)2(ClO4)](ClO4) (3) and [{Cu(dpq)2(H2O)}{Cu(dpq)2(ClO4)}](ClO4)3 (4). The bluish-green compound 2, obtained by reacting Cu(ClO4)2 · 6H2O with dpq in methanol, has a distorted trigonal bipyramidal structure with τ = 0.55. The reaction between Cu(ClO4)2 · 6H2O and dpq in dry acetonitrile produced the blue compound 3 in which the copper(II) centre has a distorted square planar geometry. When the condensation reaction between 1,10-phenanthroline-5,6-dione and 1,2-diaminoethane was carried out in the presence of Cu(ClO4)2 · 6H2O in methanol, the green copper(II) complex 4 was isolated along with 1. The structure determination of 4 has established the presence of two different complex cations in the asymmetric unit and they are considered as co-crystals. In the zinc(II) compound [Zn(dpq)2(ClO4)2] (5), the two perchlorates are unidentately coordinated to the metal centre, providing a distorted octahedral geometry. The quinoxaline ring in 5 is involved in intermolecular π–π interactions, leading to the generation of a sinusoidal chain. The proton NMR spectra, especially those of the paramagnetic complexes [Ni(dpq)3](ClO4)2 (6) and [Co(dpq)3](ClO4)2 (7), have been studied in detail. The electronic absorption spectra and the redox behaviour of the copper(I), copper(II), cobalt(II) and cobalt(III) complexes have been studied. The three copper(II) compounds 24 show identical absorption spectra and redox properties when measured in acetonitrile, although in nitromethane they show small but definite differences in their spectral and redox features.  相似文献

A new functional group, the hydroxy group, was inserted into a Betti base by reaction with salicylaldehyde, and the naphthoxazine derivatives thus obtained were converted by ring-closure reactions with formaldehyde, acetaldehyde, propionaldehyde or phosgene to the corresponding naphth[1′2′:5,6][1,3]oxazino[3,2-c][1,3]benzoxazine derivatives. Further, the conformational analysis of these polycyclic compounds by NMR spectroscopy and an accompanying molecular modelling are reported; especially, both quantitative anisotropic ring current effects of the aromatic moieties in these compounds and steric substituent effects were employed to determine the stereochemistry of the naphthoxazinobenzoxazine derivatives.  相似文献

[Cu(H2L)(PPh3)2]NO3 · 0.5H2O (2) and [Ag(H2L)(PPh3)2]NO3 · 0.5H2O (3) complexes of a new flexible thioamide ligand; N,N′-ethane-1,2-bis(4-methoxyphenyl)carbothioamide H2L (1) have been synthesized using PPh3 as a coligand. The synthesized compounds have been characterized with the help of elemental analyses, IR, 1H, 13C and 31P NMR spectroscopy. The ligand and its Cu(I) complex have been studied by single crystal X-ray crystallography. The ligand acts as a neutral S-donor and forms a nine-membered chelate ring in [Cu(H2L)(PPh3)2]NO3 · 0.5H2O. The molecular packing is stabilized by an anionic cavity formed by intermolecular hydrogen bonding between the basal plane of the complex molecule and the nitrate ions. The square shaped columnar channel has dimensions of 5.489(25) [N(11)–H(11A)?O(13)?H(21A)N(21)] × 3.693(7) [N(11)–C(11)–C(21)–N(21)] Å.  相似文献

The reaction of [ReO(OMe)Cl2(dpphen)] (dpphen = 4,7-diphenyl-1,10-phenanthroline) with triphenylphosphine has been examined and two novel rhenium complexes - [ReIIICl3(dpphen)(PPh3)]·Me2CO (1) and [ReIVCl4(dpphen)]·CHCl3 (2) - have been obtained. The compounds have been characterised by elemental analysis, IR, UV-Vis spectroscopy, magnetic measurements and X-ray crystallography. The electronic structures of [ReCl3(dpphen)(PPh3)] and [ReCl4(dpphen)] have been studied by DFT/B3LYP level calculations, and TD-DFT calculations have been employed for discussion of the electronic spectra in more detail. The magnetic behaviour of 1 is characteristic of mononuclear complexes with d4 low-spin octahedral Re(III) complexes (3T1g ground state) and arise because of the large spin-orbit coupling (ζ = 2500 cm−1), which gives diamagnetic ground state. For complex 2 the results of calculations revealed value of zero-field splitting parameter D = 10.8 cm−1, g|| = 2.49 and g = 1.51.  相似文献

New multilayer films were prepared by alternating adsorption of poly(sodium 4-styrenesulfonate) (PSS) and a new complex of [Cu2(Dpq)2(Ac)2(H2O)2] (ClO4)2·H2O (1) (Dpq=dipyrido[3,2-d:2′,3′-f]quinoxaline, Ac=acetate) or a related complex [Cu(Dpq)2(H2O)] (ClO4)2·H2O (1a) by electrostatic layer-by-layer self-assembly technique, respectively. Compounds 1 and 1a have been synthesized and structurally characterized by elemental analyses, IR spectroscopy, and single-crystal X-ray diffraction analyses. Single-crystal X-ray analyses show that complexes 1 and 1a possess a dinuclear and a mononuclear structure, respectively, which are further extended into layered frameworks by π-π stacking and hydrogen-bonding interactions. The multilayer films were characterized by UV-vis spectroscopy, fluorescence spectroscopy, small-angle X-ray reflectivity measurements, and atomic force microscopy (AFM) imaging. UV spectroscopy shows that the deposition process is regular and highly reproducible from layer to layer. AFM image indicates that the film surface is uniform and smooth. The fluorescent properties of the films were studied and the results showed that the forming condition of the films had great influence on their properties.  相似文献

New mixed-ligand copper(I) complexes, [Cu(Phca2en)(PPh3)X], [Phca2en = N,N′-bis(β-phenylci-nnamaldehyde)-1,2-diiminoethane and X=Cl (1), Br (2), I (3), NCS (4), N3 (5)] have been synthesized and characterized by various techniques. 1H and 13C-NMR and IR spectral data of these copper(I) complexes are compared with the free ligand to elucidate some structural features. The structures of [Cu(Phca2en)(PPh3)Br] (2) and [Cu(Phca2en)(PPh3)I] (3) have been determined from single-crystal data showing that the coordination geometry around copper atom is a distorted tetrahedron. Furthermore, these Cu(I) complexes exhibit supramolecular motifs of the type multiple phenyl embraces resulting from attractive interactions between phenyl rings of PPh3 moieties. The presence of the C–H…Cu weak intramolecular hydrogen bonds, due to the trapping of C–H bonds in the vicinity of the metal atoms, is also reported.  相似文献
