A Remark on the Beale-Kato-Majda Criterion for the 3D MHD Equations with Zero Kinematic Viscosity—Sadek GALA,Xiao-chun CHEN In this paper,we study the blow-up criterion of smooth solutions to the 3D magneto-hydrodynamic system in B0∞,∞.We show that a smooth solution of the 3D MHD equations with zero kinematic viscosity in the whole space R3 breaks down if and only if certain norm of the vorticity blows up at the same time. 相似文献

2005年第21卷第1期摘要A TWO-LEVEL METHOD FOR NONSYMMETRIC EIGENVALUE PROBLEMS -Karel Kolman A two-level discretization method for eigenvalue problems is studied. Compared to the standard Galerkin finite element discretization technique performed on a fine grid this method discretizes the eigenvalue problem on a coarse grid and obtains an improved eigenvector (eigenvalue) approximation by solving only a linear problem on the fine grid (or two linear problems for the case of eigenvalue approximation of nonsymmetric problems). The improved solution has the asymptotic accuracy of the Galerkin discretization solution. The link between the method and the iterated Galerkin method is established. Error estimates for the general nonsymmetric case are derived. 相似文献

TESTING LACK-OF-FIT FOR A POLYNOMIAL ERRORS-IN-VARIABLES MODEL— Li-xing Zhu, Wei-xing Song, Heng-jian CuiWhen a regression model is applied as an approximation of underlying model of data, the model checkingis important and relevant. In this paper, we investigate the lack-of-fit test for a polynomial error-in-variablesmodel. As the ordinary residuals are biased when there exist measurement errors in covariables, we correct themand then construct a residual-based test of score type. The constructed test is asymptotically chi-squared undernull hypotheses. Simulation study shows that the test can maintain the significance level well. The choice ofweight functions involved in the test statistic and the related power study are also investigated. The applicationto two examples is illustrated. SOME PROPERTIES OF A LACK-OF-FIT TEST FOR A LINEAR ERRORS IN VARIABLES MODEL ?LI-XING ZHU, HENG-JIAN CUI, K.W. NGThe relationship between the linear errors-in-variables model and the corresponding ordinary linear model in statistical inference is studied. It is shown that normality of the distribution of covariate is a necessary and sufficient condition for the equivalence. Therefore, testing for lack-of-fit in linear errorsin-variables model can be converted into testing for it in the corresponding ordinary linear model under normality assumption. A test of score type is constructed and the limiting chi-squared distribution is derived under the null hypothesis. Furthermore, we discuss the power of the test and the choice of the weight function involved in the test statistic. 相似文献
