Using thermogravimetric analyses as well as isothermal gravimetric measurements, the thermal stability of the iron(III) nitrate nanohydrate has been determined. Several decomposition stages are the result of melting, evaporation and hydrolysis processes occurring in the salt—water system in the temperature range of 20–400°C. Some of the intermediates and the final product (-Fe2O3) are characterized by means of chemical analyses, X-ray diffraction patterns and IR spectra.This revised version was published online in November 2005 with corrections to the Cover Date.  相似文献

The authors present the results of an investigation concerning the reaction between 1,2-propanediol and Ni(NO3)26H2O, leading to a complex containing as ligand the lactate anion (L), suggesting that the oxidation of 1,2-propanediol occurs at the primary hydroxyl group. The obtained solid homopolynuclear combination, [Ni2(OH)2L2(H2O)20.5H2O]n, has been investigated by thermal analysis, electron and IR spectroscopy,and magnetic methods. Nickel oxide obtained by thermolysis of this complex compound was characterized by IR, X-ray spectroscopy and elemental analysis. All the investigations lead to the conclusion that the complex compound is characterized by pseudooctahedral configuration of the nickel(II) ion. The isothermal and non-isothermal transformations of polycrystalline CuNH4PO4⋅H2O in vacuum and in various gas atmospheres (in open air and in gaseous ammonia atmosphere) were studied at 20–800°C by means of differential thermal analysis, thermogravimetry, X-ray diffraction, paper chromatography, optical microscopy and chemical analyses. The effects of the gas phase composition on the kinetic peculiarities of total gas evolution and on the partial processes of dehydration, ammonia removal and rearrangement of the anionic sub-lattice were considered. The mononuclear manganese complex Mn(phen)(CF3COO)(H2O)3(NO3 (C14H14O8N3F3Mn) has been synthesized, where phen = 1,10-phenanthroline. The molecular and crystal structures were determined by single-crystal X-ray diffraction. The crystal is of monoclinic, space group P21/c with a = 8.8550(3), b = 10.6529(3), c = 19.8763(2) A, β = 97.762(2)o, V = 1857.78(8) A3, Z = 4, Mr = 464.22, Dc = 1.660 g/cm3, μ = 0.789 mm-1, F(000) = 940, T = 293(2) K, R = 0.0764 and wR = 0.2441 for 1995 observed reflections with I > 2σ(I). In the crystal the manganese atom is six-coordinated by two chelated nitrogen atoms from phenanthroline, three oxygen atoms from water molecules and one oxygen atom from trifluoroacetate, completing an octahedral geometry.  相似文献

The thermal decomposition of Dy(III), Tb(III), Gd(III), Eu(III), and Sm(III) propionate monohydrates was studied in argon by means of simultaneous differential thermal analysis and thermogravimetry, infrared-spectroscopy, X-ray diffraction, and optical microscopy. After dehydration, which takes place below 120 °C, all salts decompose into dioxycarbonates with simultaneous release of CO2 and C2H5COC2H5 (3-pentanone) between 250 and 460 °C. However, whereas the anhydrous Dy-, Tb-, and Gd-propionates appear to transform into RE2O2CO3 (rare earth [RE] = Dy, Tb, Gd) in a single step, an intermediate stage involving a RE2O(C2H5CO2)4 composition was evidenced in the case of the Eu- and Sm-propionates. For all compounds, further decomposition of RE2O2CO3 into the corresponding sesquioxides (RE2O3) is accompanied by the release of CO2. The thermal decomposition of Dy- and Tb-propionates occurs entirely in the solid state. In contrast the dehydrated Gd-, Eu-, and Sm-propionates melt at increasingly higher temperatures. Evidence for recrystallization was found in conjunction with the onset of decomposition of these three propionates.  相似文献

Hydrated nitrosonium ion clusters NO(+)(H(2)O)(n) (n = 4 and 5) were investigated by using MP2/aug-cc-pVTZ level of theory to clarify isomeric reaction pathways for formation of HONO and fully hydrated hydride ions. We found some new isomers and transition state structures in each hydration number, whose lowest activation energies of the intracluster reactions were found to be 4.1 and 3.4 kcal mol(-1) for n = 4 and n = 5, respectively. These thermodynamic properties and full quantum mechanical molecular dynamics simulation suggest that product isomers with HONO and fully hydrated hydride ions can be obtained at n = 4 and n = 5 in terms of excess hydration binding energies which can overcome these activation barriers.  相似文献

Reactions of a solution of AgNO3 in aqueous methanol with solutions of 1,4-diallylpiperazine (acidified with HNO3 to pH = 4) and 1-allyloxybenzotriazole in ethanol gave the crystalline silver(I) π-complexes [Ag2(C4H8N2(C3H5)2(H+)2)(H2O)2(NO3)2](NO3)2 (I) and [Ag(C6H4N3(OC3H5)(NO3))] (II). Their crystal structures were determined by X-ray diffraction. Crystals of complexes I and II are monoclinic, space group P21/c; for I: a = 7.053(3)Å, b = 9.389(3)Å, c = 15.488(4)Å, β = 91.60°, V = 1025.3(6)Å3, Z = 4; for II: a = 10.650(4)Å, b = 15.062(5)Å, c = 7.412(4)Å, β = 104.20(3)°, V = 1152.6(8)Å3, Z = 4. In both structures, the organic components act as bidentate ligands forming with AgNO3 34- and 14-membered topological rings, respectively. In complex I, the nearly tetrahedral environment of the Ag(I) atom is made up of the olefinic C=C bond, the O atoms of the nitrate anions, and the water molecule. 1-Allyloxybenzotriazole in structure II causes the deformation of the coordination polyhedron of Ag into a trigonal pyramid via inclusion of the ligand N atom in its coordination sphere. The topological units of the complexes form infinite polymer layers linked by anionic NO 3 ? bridges. In structure I, these layers are united through a system of hydrogen bonds into a three-dimensional framework.  相似文献

Two types of novel oxalate-bridging rare-earth-substituted Keggin-type phosphotungstates {[(α-PW(11)O(39)) RE(H(2)O)](2)(C(2)O(4))}(10-) (RE = Y(III) for 1, Dy(III) for 2, Ho(III) for 3 and Er(III) for 4) and {(α-x-PW(10)O(38))Tm(2)(C(2)O(4))(H(2)O)(2)}(3-) for 5 have been synthesized by reaction of [α-PW(11)O(39)](7-) with RE cations and oxalate ligands in aqueous solution. They have been further characterized by elemental analyses, X-ray powder diffraction (XRPD), IR spectra, thermogravimetric (TG) analysis, and single-crystal X-ray diffraction. The common features of 1-4 are that they all contain the dimeric mono-RE substituted Keggin [RE(α-PW(11)O(39))](2)(14-) subunits linked by oxalate ligands whereas 5 exhibits a one-dimensional (1D) chain architecture built by the unusual divacant [α-x-PW(10)O(38)](11-) polyoxoanions and oxalate ligands. Notably, 1-5 represent the first oxalate-bridging dimers constructed by lacunary Keggin phosphotungstate-supported RE derivatives, and the unusual divacant [α-x-PW(10)O(38)](11-) fragment is found for the first time. Furthermore, the room-temperature solid-state photoluminescence of 2 has been investigated. Variable-temperature magnetic susceptibility measurements indicate that 2 and 4 demonstrate weak ferromagnetic couplings within the two adjacent RE cations bridged through oxalate ligands, whereas dominant antiferromagnetic interactions are observed in 3 and 5, respectively.  相似文献

The crystal structure of alum K(Al0.95Cr0.05)(SO4)212H2O possessing anomalous birefringence was refined in space groups Pa3 and P1 (a = b = c = 12.165(2) , R = 0.0587). The distortions of cubic symmetry are attributed to the peculiarities of the orientational disorder in the distribution of SO4 tetrahedra and to the different degrees of distortion of the aluminum octahedra.  相似文献

Large models of α- and β-carbonic anhydrases were compared using DFT calculations. They indicate similar acidity of the coordinated water molecule and zinc affinity. This explains their similar mechanism of action, despite the wide difference in their first coordination sphere.  相似文献

The above named salts have been prepared from aqueous solutions of the pure nitrates. Distinct compounds Ca(NO2)2·H2O and Ca(NO2)2 which are free of nitrate impurity have been characterized by their Raman spectra. The hydrated salt appears to contain four crystallographically non-equivalent nitrate groups. A distinct hydrate of magnesium formulated as Mg(NO2)2·H2O can also be prepared and characterized by Raman spectroscopy but this sample always contained significant nitrate impurity.  相似文献

We have performed theoretical studies on sixteen molecular cubes for both (NH3·HCl)(H2O)6 and (NH3·HF)(H2O)6. We use an empirical gauge, based upon the N?CH and H?CX bond lengths, to categorize the degree to which the cubes are neutral adduct or ion pair in character. On this basis, we describe all sixteen cubes of the former as highly ionized, but only five of the latter as greater than 85% ionic in character. Addition of one or two bridging water molecules to form (NH3·HF)(H2O)7 or (NH3·HF)(H2O)8 raises the percent ionic character to greater than 85% for these systems. The relative energy of the cubes can be categorized based on simple chemical principles. The computed vibrational frequency corresponding to the proton stretch in the N?CH?CF framework shows the highest degree of redshifting for systems near 50% ion-pair character. Molecular cubes close to neutral adduct or to ion-pair character show less redshifting of this vibrational motion.  相似文献
