In this paper, we show that the Cauchy problem of the Navier-Stokes equations with damping α|u|β−1u(α>0) has global weak solutions for any β?1, global strong solution for any β?7/2 and that the strong solution is unique for any 7/2?β?5.  相似文献

We consider a multidimensional Burgers equation on the torus Td and the whole space Rd. We show that, in case of the torus, there exists a unique global solution in Lebesgue spaces. For a torus we also provide estimates on the large time behaviour of solutions. In the case of Rd we establish the existence of a unique global solution if a Beale-Kato-Majda type condition is satisfied. To prove these results we use the probabilistic arguments which seem to be new.  相似文献

We consider the hyperbolic-parabolic singular perturbation problem for a degenerate quasilinear Kirchhoff equation with weak dissipation. This means that the coefficient of the dissipative term tends to zero when t→+∞.We prove that the hyperbolic problem has a unique global solution for suitable values of the parameters. We also prove that the solution decays to zero, as t→+∞, with the same rate of the solution of the limit problem of parabolic type.  相似文献

The paper studies the global existence, asymptotic behavior and blowup of solutions to the initial boundary value problem for a class of nonlinear wave equations with dissipative term. It proves that under rather mild conditions on nonlinear terms and initial data the above-mentioned problem admits a global weak solution and the solution decays exponentially to zero as t→+∞, respectively, in the states of large initial data and small initial energy. In particular, in the case of space dimension N=1, the weak solution is regularized to be a unique generalized solution. And if the conditions guaranteeing the global existence of weak solutions are not valid, then under the opposite conditions, the solutions of above-mentioned problem blow up in finite time. And an example is given.  相似文献

In this paper, the existence, uniqueness and dependence on initial value of solution for a singular diffusion equation with nonlinear boundary condition are discussed. It is proved that there exists a unique global smooth solution which depends on initial data in L1 continuously.  相似文献

Existence and regularity of solutions to model for liquid mixture of 3He-4He is considered in this paper. First, it is proved that this system possesses a unique global weak solution in H1(ω,C×R) by using Galerkin method. Secondly, by using an iteration procedure, regularity estimates for the linear semigroups, it is proved that the model for liquid mixture of 3He-4He has a unique solution in Hk(ω,C×R) for all k ≥ 1.  相似文献

The paper studies the existence and non-existence of global weak solutions to the Cauchy problem for a class of quasi-linear wave equations with nonlinear damping and source terms. It proves that when α?max{m,p}, where m+1, α+1 and p+1 are, respectively, the growth orders of the nonlinear strain terms, the nonlinear damping term and the source term, under rather mild conditions on initial data, the Cauchy problem admits a global weak solution. Especially in the case of space dimension N=1, the weak solutions are regularized and so generalized and classical solution both prove to be unique. On the other hand, if 0?α<1, and the initial energy is negative, then under certain opposite conditions, any weak solution of the Cauchy problem blows up in finite time. And an example is shown.  相似文献

In this paper we derive some new equations and we call them MHD-Leray-alpha equations which are similar to the MHD equations. We put forward the concept of weak and strong solutions for the new equations. Whether the 3-dimensional MHD equations have a unique weak solution is unknown, however, there is a unique weak solution for the 3-dimensional MHD-Leray-alpha equations. The global existence of strong solution and the Gevrey class regularity for the new equations are also obtained. Furthermore, we prove that the solutions of the MHD-Leray-alpha equations converge to the solution of the MHD equations in the weak sense as the parameter ε in the new equations converges to zero.  相似文献

It is proven that a class of the generalized Riemann problem for quasilinear hyperbolic systems of conservation laws with the uniform damping term admits a unique global piecewise C1 solution u=u(t,x) containing only n shock waves with small amplitude on t?0 and this solution possesses a global structure similar to that of the similarity solution of the corresponding homogeneous Riemann problem. As an application of our result, we prove the existence of global shock solutions, piecewise continuous and piecewise smooth solution with shock discontinuities, of the flow equations of a model class of fluids with viscosity induced by fading memory with a single jump initial data. We also give an example to show that the uniform damping mechanism is not strong enough to prevent the formation of shock waves.  相似文献

The global in-time semiclassical and relaxation limits of the bipolar quantum hydrodynamic model for semiconductors are investigated in R3. We prove that the unique strong solution exists and converges globally in time to the strong solution of classical bipolar hydrodynamical equation in the process of semiclassical limit and that of the classical drift-diffusion system under the combined relaxation and semiclassical limits.  相似文献

Coupled systems for a class of quasilinear parabolic equations and the corresponding elliptic systems, including systems of parabolic and ordinary differential equations are investigated. The aim of this paper is to show the existence, uniqueness, and asymptotic behavior of time-dependent solutions. Also investigated is the existence of positive maximal and minimal solutions of the corresponding quasilinear elliptic system. The elliptic operators in both systems are allowed to be degenerate in the sense that the density-dependent diffusion coefficients Di(ui) may have the property Di(0)=0 for some or all i=1,…,N, and the boundary condition is ui=0. Using the method of upper and lower solutions, we show that a unique global classical time-dependent solution exists and converges to the maximal solution for one class of initial functions and it converges to the minimal solution for another class of initial functions; and if the maximal and minimal solutions coincide then the steady-state solution is unique and the time-dependent solution converges to the unique solution. Applications of these results are given to three model problems, including a scalar polynomial growth problem, a coupled system of polynomial growth problem, and a two component competition model in ecology.  相似文献

This paper investigates a stochastic Lotka-Volterra system with infinite delay, whose initial data comes from an admissible Banach space Cr. We show that, under a simple hypothesis on the environmental noise, the stochastic Lotka-Volterra system with infinite delay has a unique global positive solution, and this positive solution will be asymptotic bounded. The asymptotic pathwise of the solution is also estimated by the exponential martingale inequality. Finally, two examples with their numerical simulations are provided to illustrate our result.  相似文献

The definition of Schrödinger flow is proposed. It is indicated that the flow of ferromagnetic chain is actually Schrödinger flow of maps intoS 2, and that there exists a unique local smooth solution for the initial value problem of one-dimensional Schrödinger flow of maps into Kahler manifolds. In case the targets are Kähler manifolds with constant curvature, it is proved that one-dimensional Schrödinger flow admits a unique global smooth solution.  相似文献

The dynamical behaviors of vacuum states for one-dimensional compressible Navier-Stokes equations with density-dependent viscosity coefficient are considered. It is first shown that a unique strong solution to the free boundary value problem exists globally in time, the free boundary expands outwards at an algebraic rate in time, and the density is strictly positive in any finite time but decays pointwise to zero time-asymptotically. Then, it is proved that there exists a unique global weak solution to the initial boundary value problem when the initial data contains discontinuously a piece of continuous vacuum and is regular away from the vacuum. The solution is piecewise regular and contains a piece of continuous vacuum before the time T>0, which is compressed at an algebraic rate and vanishes at the time T, meanwhile the weak solution becomes either a strong solution or a piecewise strong one and tends to the equilibrium state exponentially.  相似文献

The Cahn–Hilliard–Hele–Shaw system is a fundamental diffuse-interface model for an incompressible binary fluid confined in a Hele–Shaw cell. It consists of a convective Cahn–Hilliard equation in which the velocity u is subject to a Korteweg force through Darcy's equation. In this paper, we aim to investigate the system with a physically relevant potential (i.e., of logarithmic type). This choice ensures that the (relative) concentration difference φ takes values within the admissible range. To the best of our knowledge, essentially all the available contributions in the literature are concerned with a regular approximation of the singular potential. Here we first prove the existence of a global weak solution with finite energy that satisfies an energy dissipative property. Then, in dimension two, we further obtain the uniqueness and regularity of global weak solutions. In particular, we show that any two-dimensional weak solution satisfies the so-called strict separation property, namely, if φ is not a pure state at some initial time, then it stays instantaneously away from the pure states. When the spatial dimension is three, we prove the existence of a unique global strong solution, provided that the initial datum is regular enough and sufficiently close to any local minimizer of the free energy. This also yields the local Lyapunov stability of the local minimizer itself. Finally, we prove that under suitable assumptions any global solution converges to a single equilibrium as time goes to infinity.  相似文献

The paper studies the existence, both locally and globally in time, stability, decay estimates and blowup of solutions to the Cauchy problem for a class of nonlinear dispersive wave equations arising in elasto-plastic flow. Under the assumption that the nonlinear term of the equations is of polynomial growth order, say α, it proves that when α>1, the Cauchy problem admits a unique local solution, which is stable and can be continued to a global solution under rather mild conditions; when α?5 and the initial data is small enough, the Cauchy problem admits a unique global solution and its norm in L1,p(R) decays at the rate for 2<p?10. And if the initial energy is negative, then under a suitable condition on the nonlinear term, the local solutions of the Cauchy problem blow up in finite time.  相似文献

In this paper, we show that the Cauchy problem of the incompressible Navier-Stokes equations with damping α|u|β−1u(α>0) has global strong solution for any β>3 and the strong solution is unique when 3<β?5. This improves earlier results.  相似文献

We study the unsaturated case of the Richards equation in three space dimensions with Dirichlet boundary data. We first establish an a priori L-estimate. With its help, by means of a fixed point argument we prove global in time existence of a unique weak solution in Sobolev spaces. Finally, we are able to improve the regularity of this weak solution in order to gain a strong one.  相似文献

Competitive Lotka-Volterra population dynamics with jumps   总被引:1,自引:0,他引:1
This paper considers competitive Lotka-Volterra population dynamics with jumps. The contributions of this paper are as follows. (a) We show that a stochastic differential equation (SDE) with jumps associated with the model has a unique global positive solution; (b) we discuss the uniform boundedness of the pth moment with p>0 and reveal the sample Lyapunov exponents; (c) using a variation-of-constants formula for a class of SDEs with jumps, we provide an explicit solution for one-dimensional competitive Lotka-Volterra population dynamics with jumps, and investigate the sample Lyapunov exponent for each component and the extinction of our n-dimensional model.  相似文献

In this paper, we study the global existence and the asymptotic behavior of classical solution of the Cauchy problem for quasilinear hyperbolic system with constant multiple and linearly degenerate characteristic fields. We prove that the global C1 solution exists uniquely if the BV norm of the initial data is sufficiently small. Based on the existence result on the global classical solution, we show that, when the time t tends to the infinity, the solution approaches a combination of C1 traveling wave solutions. Finally, we give an application to the equation for time-like extremal surfaces in the Minkowski space-time R1+n.  相似文献
