At the JINR Nuclotron, 7Li nuclei are accelerated. The charge-exchange reaction involving these nuclei at an external target provides a secondary 1.23-A-GeV 7Be beam. This beam is used to irradiate emulsion chambers. The mean free path λinel(7Be) = 14.0 ± 0.8 cm for inelastic 7Be interactions in an emulsion coincides within the errors with those for 6Li and 7Li nuclei. More than 10% of the 7Be events are associated with the peripheral interactions in which the total charge of the relativistic fragments is equal to the charge of the 7Be nucleus and in which charged mesons are not produced. An unusual ratio of the helium isotopes is revealed in the composition of the doubly charged fragments of the 7Be nuclei: the number of the 3He fragments is twice as large as that of the 4He fragments. Each of 50% of peripheral interaction events includes two doubly charged fragments. The channels of the 7Be fragmentation into charged fragments are presented. In 50% of events, the 7Be fragmentation occurs only into charged fragments without the emission of neutrons. The 4He + 3He channel dominates, whereas each of the 4He + d + p and 6Li + p channels constitutes 10%. Two events without neutron emission are observed in the 3He + t + p and 3He + d + d three-body channels. The mean free path for the coherent dissociation of relativistic 7Be nuclei into 4He + 3He is equal to 7 ± 1 m. The main features of the fragmentation of relativistic 7Be nuclei in such peripheral interactions are explained by the 3He + 4He two-cluster structure of the 7Be nucleus. 相似文献

The spin-isospin-dependent response function of nucleus is studied in the relativistic formalism. Besides the well-known relativistic particlehole and A-hole excitations, the antiparticle excitations such as nucleon-antinucleon, nucleon-antidelta, antinucleon-delta excitations are also taken into account in the calculation of the response function, and the effect of the antiparticle excitation is emphasized. The antiparticle excitation enhances the response function and its effect to the response function is largely determined by the cutoff parameter which is introduced by the need of the renormalization. The position of the peak of the A-hole resonance is mainly dominated by short range correlation Landau-Migdal parameter g', and we find g' is about 0.6. The effect of two-nucleon absorption and projectiletarget form factor are also studied. 相似文献

The data for the 7Li + 9Be and 7Be + 9Be elastic scattering at the energies E
lab(7Li) = 15.75 , 24, 30, 34, 63 and 130MeV and E
lab(7Be) = 17 , 19 and 21MeV were analyzed within the optical model and coupled-reaction-channels method. The elastic and inelastic
scattering, reorientation of 7Li , 7Be and 9Be as well as most important transfer reactions were included in the coupled-channels scheme. The resulting 7Li and 7Be potentials are very similar and have the same energy dependence. The real potential for recently derived 8Be + 9Be scattering potentials is very similar to that for 7Li , 7Be but the imaginary part of the 8Be one has a much greater strength at longer range. 相似文献

Quasielastic scattering angular distributions have been measured for the 7Be + 9Be system at E lab = 17 , 19 and 21MeV in the angular range $ \theta_{{cm}}^{}$ = 24° - 57° . An optical model (OM) analysis of these data has been carried out in order to extract optical potential parameters and reaction cross-sections. One-proton stripping cross-sections were also measured for this system at E lab = 19 and 21MeV. These transfer angular-distribution data were compared with the finite-range distorted-wave Born approximation (FRDWBA) calculations. For the 7Li + 9Be system quasielastic scattering angular distributions were measured and emitted light charged particles were detected at E lab = 15.75 , 24.00 and 30.00MeV in the angular range $ \theta_{{cm}}^{}$ = 7° - 70° . Fusion cross-sections were obtained by reproducing the measured $ \alpha$ -evaporation spectra from the compound nucleus at backward angles with the statistical model calculations. The ratios of the experimental fusion cross-sections to the total reaction cross-sections (obtained from OM analysis) were found to be small. This result suggests that the break-up process has a strong influence on the fusion process leading to a reduction in the fusion cross-section. 相似文献

Elastic scattering angular distributions have been measured for 7Be + 9Be system at Elab = 17, 19 and 21 MeV in the angular range θcm=26○–58°, and for 7Li + 9Be system at Elab= 15.75, 24 and 30 MeV.
An optical model (OM) analysis of these data have been carried out.
For the 7Li + 9Be system fusion cross sections were obtained at Elab = 15.75, 24 and 30 MeV by measuring the α-evaporation spectra from the compound nucleus at backward angles. The measured
α-evaporation spectra were reproduced by the statistical model calculations and fusion cross sections were extracted therefrom.
The ratios of the experimental fusion cross sections to the total reaction cross sections (obtained form OM analysis) were
found to be rather small. This result suggests that break-up process has a strong influence on fusion process leading to a

For the electron capture of 7Be in the metallic environments Pd and In the 7Be half-life was observed to increase by 0.9±0.2 and 0.7±0.2%, respectively, while in the insulator Li2O it was unchanged within experimental error (all samples cooled to T = 12K). The observations are consistent with the predictions of the Debye plasma model applied to the quasi-free electrons

The 7Be(p,gamma)8B reaction plays a central role in the evaluation of solar neutrino fluxes. We report on a new precision measurement of the cross section of this reaction, following our previous experiment with an implanted 7Be target, a raster-scanned beam, and the elimination of the backscattering loss. The new measurement incorporates a more abundant 7Be target and a number of improvements in design and procedure. The point at E(lab)=991 keV was measured several times under varying experimental conditions, yielding a value of S17(E(c.m.)=850 keV)=24.0+/-0.5 eV b. Measurements were carried out at lower energies as well. Because of the precise knowledge of the implanted 7Be density profile, it was possible to reconstitute both the off- and on-resonance parts of the cross section and to obtain from the entire set of measurements an extrapolated value of S17(0)=21.2+/-0.7 eV b. 相似文献

First-principle calculations within the density functional theory framework are used to study the probability of electron capture for the ~7Be nucleus.For this purpose,electron density at the ~7Be nucleus is computed in Al,Au,Pd,Pt,and Pb environments.Our results show that the half-life of ~7Be is changed by implanting ~7Be in host environments.Electron affinity of the media and confinement effects are responsible for the change in the half-life of ~7Be nucleus.Moreover,electric potential at the ~7Be nucleus is calculated.Results show that variations in electric potential are usually consistent with those in electron density at the ~7Be nucleus. 相似文献

T_(1/2)=53.275(25) d in natural beryllium and T_(1/2)=53.270(19) d in natural gold is obtained.
