We report an experimental demonstration of entanglement swapping over two quantum stages. By successful realizations of two cascaded photonic entanglement swapping processes, entanglement is generated and distributed between two photons, that originate from independent sources and do not share any common past. In the experiment we use three pairs of polarization entangled photons and conduct two Bell-state measurements: one between the first and second pair, and one between the second and third pair. This results in projecting the remaining two outgoing photons from pair 1 and 3 into an entangled state, as characterized by an entanglement witness. The experiment represents an important step towards a full quantum repeater where multiple entanglement swapping is a key ingredient. 相似文献

A protocol for quantum secure direct communication by using entangled qutrits and swapping quantum entanglement is proposed. In this protocol, a set of ordered two-qutrit entangled states is used as quantum information channels for sending secret messages directly. During the process of transmission of particles, the transmitted particles do not carry any secret messages and are transmitted only one time. The protocol has higher source capacity than protocols using usual two-dimensional Bell-basis states as quantum channel. The security is ensured by the unitary operations randomly performed on all checking groups before the particle sequence is transmitted and the application of entanglement swapping. 相似文献

We show that an entanglement swapping operation performed with spontaneous parametric down-conversion can be made faithful without postselection using sum-frequency generation. This invites us to revisit the sum-frequency process and from a proof-of-principle experiment, we demonstrate that it provides a realistic solution for nonlinear optics at the single-photon level. This opens the way to attractive alternatives to six-photon protocols based on linear optics used, e.g., for the heralded creation of maximally entangled pairs or for device-independent quantum key distribution. 相似文献

In this paper, we suggest a controlled mutual quantum entity authentication protocol by which two users mutually certify each other on a quantum network using a sequence of Greenberger–Horne–Zeilinger(GHZ)-like states. Unlike existing unidirectional quantum entity authentication, our protocol enables mutual quantum entity authentication utilizing entanglement swapping; moreover, it allows the managing trusted center(TC) or trusted third party(TTP) to effectively control the certification of two users using the nature of the GHZ-like state. We will also analyze the security of the protocol and quantum channel. 相似文献

Experimental demonstration of unconditional entanglement swapping for continuous variables 总被引:2,自引:0,他引:2
The unconditional entanglement swapping for continuous variables is experimentally demonstrated. Two initial entangled states are produced from two nondegenerate optical parametric amplifiers operating at de-amplification. Through implementing the direct measurement of the Bell-state between two optical beams from each amplifier the remaining two optical beams, which have never directly interacted with each other, are entangled. The quantum correlation degrees of 1.23 and 1.12 dB below the shot noise limit for the amplitude and phase quadratures resulting from the entanglement swapping are measured straightly. 相似文献

In this paper, the issue of swapping quantum entanglements in two arbitrary biqubit pure states via a local bipartite entangledstate projective measure in the middle node is studied in depth, especially with regard to quantitative aspects. Attention is mainly focused on the relation between the measure and the final entanglement obtained via swapping. During the study, the entanglement of formation (EoF) is employed as a quantifier to characterize and quantify the entanglements present in all involved states. All concerned EoFs are expressed analytically; thus, the relation between the final entanglement and the measuring state is established. Through concrete analyses, the measure demands for getting a certain amount of a final entanglement are revealed. It is found that a maximally entangled final state can be obtained from any two given initial entangled states via swapping with a certain probability; however, a peculiar measure should be performed. Moreover, some distinct properties are revealed and analyzed. Such a study will be useful in quantum information processes. 相似文献

A scheme is proposed to deterministically create maximal entanglement between hybrid artificial atoms: superconducting charge and flux qubits. By tuning the circuit, the two qubits are dynamically decoupled and entanglement can be long-lived. This provides a new version of the Einstein-Podolsdy-Rosen (EPR) situation where the components of a macroscopic EPR pair are in opposite regimes. 相似文献

Can entanglement and the quantum behavior in physical systems survive at arbitrary high temperatures? In this Letter we show that this is the case for a electromagnetic field mode in an optical cavity with a movable mirror in a thermal state. We also identify two different dynamical regimes of generation of entanglement separated by a critical coupling strength. 相似文献

Teleportation for atomic entangled state by entanglement swapping with separate measurements in cavity QED 总被引:1,自引:0,他引:1

Experimentally feasible scheme for teleportation of atomic entangled state via entanglement swapping is proposed in cavity quantum electrodynamics without joint Bell-state measurement. In the teleportation processes the interaction between atoms and a single-mode nonresonant cavity with the assistance of a strong classical driving field substitute the joint measurements. The discussion of the scheme indicates that it can be realized by current technologies. 相似文献

A quantum dialogue network is constructed, which uses GHZ states as quantum channel. As its application, a quantum dialogue protocol using entanglement swapping is presented. If the network is safe, any two users in the network can communicate under the control of the other users. 相似文献

Song [Song D 2004 Phys. Rev. A69034301] first proposed two key distribution schemes with the symmetry feature. We find that, in the schemes, the private channels which Alice and Bob publicly announce the initial Bell state or the measurement result through are not needed in discovering keys, and Song's encoding methods do not arrive at the optimization. Here, an optimized encoding method is given so that the efficiencies of Song's schemes are improved by 7/3 times. Interestingly, this optimized encoding method can be extended to the key distribution scheme composed of generalized Bell states. 相似文献

The security of quantum secure direct communication by entangled qutrits and entanglement swapping [Y.B. Zhan et al., Opt. Commun. 282 (2009) 4633] is analyzed. It is shown that an eavesdropper can obtain all the secret without being found by a simple intercept-and-resend attack. Finally, a possible improvement to resist this attack is proposed. 相似文献

We experimentally demonstrate continuous-variable quantum teleportation beyond the no-cloning limit. We teleport a coherent state and achieve the fidelity of 0.70 +/- 0.02 that surpasses the no-cloning limit of 2/3. Surpassing the limit is necessary to transfer the nonclassicality of an input quantum state. By using our high-fidelity teleporter, we demonstrate entanglement swapping, namely, teleportation of quantum entanglement, as an example of transfer of nonclassicality. 相似文献

We present schemes for quantum teleportation and entanglement swapping of electronic spin states in hybrid superconductor–normal-metal systems. The proposed schemes employ subgap transport whereby the lowest order processes involve Cooper pair-electron and double Cooper-pair cotunneling in quantum teleportation and entanglement swapping protocols, respectively. The competition between elastic cotunneling and Cooper-pair splitting results in the success probability of 25% in both cases. Described implementations of these protocols are within reach of present-day experimental techniques. 相似文献

A deterministic secure quantum communication scheme using entanglement swapping is proposed. The sender prepares four-particle genuine entangled states and sends two particles in each state to the receiver and remains the rest particles. If the quantum channel is secure, they begin to communicate. After their four-particle projective measurements, the receiver can obtain the secret information according to his measurement outcomes and classical information from the sender. Using entanglement swapping, there are no particles carrying secret information to be transmitted. 相似文献

A kind of multiparty quantum secret sharing (MQSS)
schemes based on entanglement swapping is analyzed and an
effective attack is proposed. Some unauthorized agent groups can
recover the secret from the dealer with the help of this special
attack. It is shown that entanglement swapping not only makes the
MQSS protocols feasible but also brings a fatal drawback to them.
Furthermore, a possible improvement on such protocols is proposed,
which makes them secure against the proposed attack. 相似文献

<正>In this paper an arbitrated quantum signature scheme based on entanglement swapping is proposed. In this scheme a message to be signed is coded with unitary operators.Combining quantum measurement with quantum encryption, the signer can generate the signature for a given message.Combining the entangled states generated by the TTP’s Bell measurement with the signature information, the verifier can verify the authentication of a signature through a single quantum state measurement.Compared with previous schemes, our scheme is more efficient and less complex, furthermore, our scheme can ensure the anonymity of the signer. 相似文献

The security of a deterministic secure quantum communication using four-particle genuine entangled state and entanglement swapping [X.M. Xiu, H.K. Dong, L. Dong, Y.J. Cao, F. Chi, Opt. Commun. 282 (2009) 2457] is analyzed. It is shown that an eavesdropper can entangle an ancilla without introducing any error in the security test utilizing a speciality of the four-particle genuine entangled state. Moreover, the eavesdropper can distill a quarter of the secret information from her entangled ancilla. Finally, a simple improvement to resist this attack is proposed. 相似文献
