通过数值模拟激光驱动下电子在周期性势阱中的动力学行为, 研究了晶体在激光场中发射高次谐波的特性. 研究发现在一定的激光波长和光强驱动下, 晶体发射的谐波谱会呈现出双平台结构, 经分析后得知第一个平台主要来自于最低导带与价带间的电流(电子-空穴对复合), 第二个平台主要来源于较高导带与价带间的电流(电子-空穴对复合), 且两个平台的截止位置处的能量都与激光场的振幅呈线性关系. 在少周期激光驱动下, 晶体谐波第二平台的截止位置与激光的载波相位呈单调变化, 由此我们提出可以利用晶体谐波第二平台的截止位置来确定少周期激光的载波相位. 进一步研究发现, 在啁啾激光驱动下, 晶体发射谐波谱的第二平台有较大变化, 第二平台的发射效率会随啁啾参数而改变, 能够通过改变啁啾激光场来提高晶体谐波第二平台的发射效率.  相似文献

With the development of laser technologies,multi-color light-field synthesis with complete amplitude and phase control would make it possible to generate arbitrary optical waveforms.A practical optimization algorithm is needed to generate such a waveform in order to control strong-field processes.We review some recent theoretical works of the optimization of amplitudes and phases of multi-color lasers to modify the single-atom high-order harmonic generation based on genetic algorithm.By choosing different fitness criteria,we demonstrate that:(i) harmonic yields can be enhanced by 10 to 100 times,(ii) harmonic cutoff energy can be substantially extended,(iii) specific harmonic orders can be selectively enhanced,and(iv) single attosecond pulses can be efficiently generated.The possibility of optimizing macroscopic conditions for the improved phase matching and low divergence of high harmonics is also discussed.The waveform control and optimization are expected to be new drivers for the next wave of breakthrough in the strong-field physics in the coming years.  相似文献

High harmonic generation(HHG) driven by intense frequency-comb laser fields can be dramatically enhanced via multiphoton resonance by tuning the carrier-envelope phase(CEP) shift, without increasing the driving intensity. However,the multiphoton-resonant enhancement(MRE) factor in the realistic atomic hydrogen is much smaller than that in a twolevel system. To study the deviation, we present a theoretical investigation of the multiphoton resonance dynamics of three-level systems driven by intense frequency-comb laser fields. The many-mode Floquet theorem(MMFT) is employed to provide a nonperturbative and exact treatment of the interaction between the quantum system and the laser fields. The investigations show that the dipole interaction of a two-level system with the third level affects the multiphoton resonance dynamics and enhances the HHG spectra. It is the dipole interaction of the excited level of the two-level system with other levels that results in the smaller MRE factor in the realistic atomic system.  相似文献

通过二阶分裂算符法数值求解了二维含时薛定谔方程,研究了双色反向旋转圆偏振激光场作用下氩原子的高次谐波的产生.研究表明,双色反向旋转圆偏振激光场的幅值比对高次谐波发射的效率有较大影响,当幅值比为1.4时高次谐波的发射效率最高,并应用时频分析方法、经典三步模型以及利萨茹图形等解释了高次谐波发射的物理机制.研究了不同幅值比情况下谐波场的旋转偏振特性,发现对不同频段的谐波谱的电场进行叠加,谐波场的偏振特性随幅值比的不同而发生变化,但谐波场的旋向性与入射激光脉冲的旋向性相同,不受幅值比变化的影响.  相似文献

本文提出了一个一维μ介子原子模型,用数值积分方法求解了在超强激光场作用下该模型原子的含时Schrdinger方程,得到了它的高次谐波发射谱.该谱表明,借助于这一奇异原子模型,可将相干辐射由XUV波段推向γ-射线波段.针对这个体系的高次谐波发射效率低的缺点,引入双色场后使发射效率提高了两个数量级.  相似文献

In this paper, we investigate the dynamics of a hydrogen atom in high-frequency (several atomic units) super strong (up to several tens of atomic units) laser fields within the high frequency Floquet theory framework. The ionization rate, ionization spectrum, angular distribution and high-order harmonic generation are all investigated. Our studies reveal the universal behavior of the total ionization rate, excess-photon ionization spectrum and angular distribution of the ionization rate in the stabilization regime, and achieve a deep insight into the dynamics of high-order harmonic generation in the stabilization regime. Using intense lasers, several laboratories have generated high-order harmonic spectra which are flat over 20 eV. If the harmonics are appropriately phased, this bandwidth corresponds to temporal pulses on the order of 5 × 10-17 s, and thereby motivates a search for a new regime of short-pulse generation.  相似文献

We investigate the spatial evolution of a laser pulse used to generate high-order harmonics (orders ranging from 45 to 91) in a semi-infinite helium-filled gas cell. The 5 mJ, 30 fs laser pulses experience elongated focusing with two distinct waists when focused with f/125 optics in 80 Torr of helium. Extended phase matching for the generation of harmonics occurs in the region between the double foci of the laser, where the laser beam changes from diverging to converging.  相似文献

We demonstrated a novel optical switch to control the high-order harmonic generation process so that single attosecond pulses can be generated with multiple-cycle pulses. The technique combines two powerful optical gating methods: polarization gating and two-color gating. An extreme ultraviolet supercontinuum supporting 130 as was generated with neon gas using 9 fs laser pulses. We discovered a unique dependence of the harmonic spectra on the carrier-envelope phase of the laser fields, which repeats every 2 pi radians.  相似文献

Controlling paths of high-order harmonic generation from H^2+ is theoretically investigated by numerically solving the time-dependent Schrodinger equation based on the Born-Oppenheimer approximation in orthogonal two-color fields.Our simulations show that the change of harmonic emission paths is dependent on time-dependent distribution of electrons.Compared with one-dimensional linearly polarized long wavelength laser,multiple returns are suppressed and short paths are dominant in the process of harmonic emission by two-dimensional orthogonal ω/2ω laser fields.Furthermore,not only are multiple returns weaken,but also the harmonic emission varies from twice to once in an optical cycle by orthogonalω/1.5ωlaser fields.Combining the time-frequency distributions and the time-dependent electron wave packets probability density,the mechanism of controlling paths is further explained.As a result,a 68-as isolated attosecond pulse is obtained by superposing a proper range of the harmonics.  相似文献

We report efficient high-order harmonic generation achieved using a two-color laser field. By inserting a second-harmonic generation crystal in the path of a converging laser pulse, the overall efficiency for high-harmonic generation was enhanced by more than an order of magnitude. In addition, even-order harmonics were also generated. The 2(2n+1)th -order harmonics were very strong and, in particular, the 38th harmonic (21.6 nm), obtained with a single laser shot of 2 mJ, saturated the X-ray charge-coupled device (CCD) of an extreme-ultraviolet spectrometer even with an Al filter of 1.5 m thickness installed in front of the CCD. The high-order harmonic generation using ellipticity-modulated laser field is investigated experimentally and theoretically. The laser field with time-varying ellipticity is obtained using two quarter wave plates. The harmonic spectral intensity peaks appear periodic for the localization induced by the ellipticity modulation of the laser pulse. We calculate the single-atom response to the driving laser field using the Lewenstein model and compare the calculated and measured harmonic spectra generated with ellipticity-modulated driving laser pulses. The theoretical simulation and the experiment results agree well with each other.  相似文献

A systematic study of the high-order harmonic generation (HHG) of laser radiation in various carbon-containing plasma plumes (CCPPs) is presented. The materials studied are: graphite, boron carbide, C60, polytetrafluoroethylene, polyethylene, carbon nanotubes, and soot. These studies show that CCPPs present the best plasma media for efficient lower order (from 9th to 19th) harmonic generation, while the harmonic cutoff restricted to the 29th order. The advantages of CCPPs for the harmonic generation are confirmed by comparison of the HHG conversion efficiency with that in Ag and In plasma plumes, where the highest conversion efficiency was reported. Use of two-color pump scheme allows further enhancement of harmonic yield from the CCPPs.  相似文献

We demonstrate theoretically that the high-order harmonic of an atom can be generated by a circularly polarized laser pulse.The harmonic spectrum shows a clear cutoff with an energy Ip + 2Up.In particular,the high-order harmonic generation comes from the multiple recombination of the ionized electron with non-zero initial velocity.These results are verified by the classical model theory and the time-frequency analysis of a harmonic spectrum.  相似文献

The high-order harmonic generation from an asymmetric molecular ion is theoretically investigated based on the Born-Oppenheimer model with two-dimensional electron dynamics. It is shown that the harmonic intensity changes periodically in elliptically polarized laser fields. The periodical character is ellipticity-dependent. By establishing the physical image, the periodicity of the harmonic intensity can be ascribed to the contributions of the ground state and the excited state. Furthermore, the electron dynamics from different electronic states can be selected via combining the elliptically polarized laser field with a static electric field. The harmonics dominated either by ground state or excited state are emitted once in an optical cycle in the combined laser field.  相似文献

报告由不同脉冲宽度(半高宽,FWHM)和不同载波-包络相位(CEP,Φ)的激光产生的高次谐波辐射能量输出时间特性即发射特性的研究结果. 计算表明,由宽度为几个周期的激光产生的高次谐波辐射的截止能量明显低于由无限长脉冲宽度激光产生的截止能量ωmax=3.17Up+Ip(其中ωmax为光子角频率,UpIp分别为激光有质动力势和原子的电离能). 例如,由两周期(FWHM),Φ=15°的激光产生的高次谐波辐射的截止能量为ωmax=2.90Up+Ip,此时发射特性单脉冲(即分布单脉冲)具有最大的能量带宽0.86Up. 脉冲中心位置的载波相位和时间宽度分别为0.94rad(弧度)和1.29rad. 而该激光脉冲在Φ=-75°时能产生截止能量为ωmax=2.70Up+Ip,最大能量带宽为0.70Up的双分布脉冲,其中心位置分别为-0.58rad和2.43rad,宽度分别为1.22rad和1.33rad. 随着激光脉冲宽度的增加,分布单脉冲的能量带宽比时间宽度下降得更快. 对于一定宽度的激光脉冲,所产生的分布单脉冲的能量带宽和时间宽度的CEP依赖性显示出180°的周期结构. 利用这个有趣的特点,在实验上可以通过调节CEP来选择分布脉冲的能量参数,也可用来定位和控制阿秒脉冲的时间参数. 理论分析指出,只要选择合适的阿秒X射线能量带宽,CEP不稳定性对于光电子谱和测量结果的影响将大为降低,甚至在最大程度上消除这种影响. 这些研究结果不仅有助于在物理上深入了解高次谐波辐射的动力学过程,而且对于进一步在实验上优化和选择阿秒单脉冲和双脉冲具有重要的参考和指导意义. 关键词: 高次谐波产生 鞍点方法 谐波发射特性 分布脉冲  相似文献
