In this paper, we consider one-dimensional nonlinear Schrödinger equation iutuxx+V(x)u+f(2|u|)u=0 on [0,πR under the boundary conditions a1u(t,0)−b1ux(t,0)=0, a2u(t,π)+b2ux(t,π)=0, , for i=1,2. It is proved that for a prescribed and analytic positive potential V(x), the above equation admits small-amplitude quasi-periodic solutions corresponding to d-dimensional invariant tori of the associated infinite-dimensional dynamical system.  相似文献

Summary We study positive solutions of the nonlinear eigenvalue problemF(u)=G(u) with some monotone operatorsF andG. In particular, we consider the case of nonlinear elliptic differential equations of second order and chooseF(u)=–divA(x, gradu)+b(x,u) and G(u)=g (x,u). Positive solutions are obtained by the Picard iterationsu 0=0 andF(u n+1)=G(u n ).In order to get convergence of the sequenceu n ,one has to study some comparison principles for the operatorF. Finally, the Picard iteration scheme allows a-priori estimates and bifurcation results for the admissible eigenvalue parameter.
Zusammenfassung Für gewisse monotone OperatorenF andG untersuchen wir positive Lösungen des nichtlinearen EigenwertproblemsF(u)=G(u). Insbesondere betrachten wir nichtlineare elliptische Differentialgleichungen zweiter Ordnung und wählenF(u)=–divA(x, gradu)+b(x,u) sowieG(u)=g(x,u). Man erhält positive Lösungen durch das Picard-Iterationsverfahrenu 0=0 undF(u n+1)=G(u n ).Um die Konvergenz der Folgeu n nachzuweisen, benötigt man Vergleichsprinzipien fürF. Dann gestattet das Iterationsschema sogar a-priori Abschätzungen und Verzweigungsaussagen für die zulässigen Eigenwertparameter.

We study the 3×3 elliptic systems ∇(a(x)∇×u)−∇(b(x)∇⋅u)=f, where the coefficients a(x) and b(x) are positive scalar functions that are measurable and bounded away from zero and infinity. We prove that weak solutions of the above system are Hölder continuous under some minimal conditions on the inhomogeneous term f. We also present some applications and discuss several related topics including estimates of the Green?s functions and the heat kernels of the above systems.  相似文献

In this paper, we prove that if BEb is relatively compact with respect to the F topology and f:I×EbEb is a measurable family of F-continuous maps then for each x0Eb there exists a norm-differentiable, (i.e. differentiable with respect to the ∥·∥F norm) local solution to the initial valued problem ut(t)=f(t,u(t)), u(t0)=x0. Let A be a selfadjoint linear operator in a Hilbert space H. The DSM (dynamical systems method) for solving equation Av=f consists of solving the Cauchy problem , u(0)=u0, where Φ is a suitable operator, and proving that (i) ∃u(t)∀t>0, (ii) ∃u(∞), and (iii) A(u(∞))=f. It is proved that if equation Av=f is solvable and u solves the problem , u(0)=u0, where a>0 is a parameter and u0 is arbitrary, then lima→0limt→∞u(t,a)=y, where y is the unique minimal-norm solution of the equation Av=f. Stable solution of the equation Av=f is constructed when the data are noisy, i.e., fδ is given in place of f, ‖fδf‖?δ. The case when a=a(t)>0, , a(t)↘0 as t→∞ is considered. It is proved that in this case limt→∞u(t)=y and if fδ is given in place of f, then limt→∞u(tδ)=y, where tδ is properly chosen.  相似文献

Recently, various algebraic integer programming (IP) solvers have been proposed based on the theory of Gröbner bases. The main difficulty of these solvers is the size of the Gröbner bases generated. In algorithms proposed so far, large Gröbner bases are generated by either introducing additional variables or by considering the generic IP problem IP A,C . Some improvements have been proposed such as Hosten and Sturmfels' method (GRIN) designed to avoid additional variables and Thomas' truncated Gröbner basis method which computes the reduced Gröbner basis for a specific IP problem IP A,C (b) (rather than its generalisation IP A,C ). In this paper we propose a new algebraic algorithm for solving IP problems. The new algorithm, called Minimised Geometric Buchberger Algorithm, combines Hosten and Sturmfels' GRIN and Thomas' truncated Gröbner basis method to compute the fundamental segments of an IP problem IP A,C directly in its original space and also the truncated Gröbner basis for a specific IP problem IP A,C (b). We have carried out experiments to compare this algorithm with others such as the geometric Buchberger algorithm, the truncated geometric Buchberger algorithm and the algorithm in GRIN. These experiments show that the new algorithm offers significant performance improvement.  相似文献

In this paper we study the maximal regularity property for non-autonomous evolution equations tu(t)+A(t)u(t)=f(t), u(0)=0. If the equation is considered on a Hilbert space H and the operators A(t) are defined by sesquilinear forms a(t,⋅,⋅) we prove the maximal regularity under a Hölder continuity assumption of ta(t,⋅,⋅). In the non-Hilbert space situation we focus on Schrödinger type operators A(t):=−Δ+m(t,⋅) and prove LpLq estimates for a wide class of time and space dependent potentials m.  相似文献

The detour order of a graph G, denoted by τ(G), is the order of a longest path in G. A subset S of V(G) is called a Pn-kernel of G if τ(G[S])≤n−1 and every vertex vV(G)−S is adjacent to an end-vertex of a path of order n−1 in G[S]. A partition of the vertex set of G into two sets, A and B, such that τ(G[A])≤a and τ(G[B])≤b is called an (a,b)-partition of G. In this paper, we study the nonlinear one-dimensional periodic wave equation with x-dependent coefficients u(x)ytt−(ux(x)yx)+g(x,t,y)=f(x,t) on (0,πR under the boundary conditions a1y(0,t)+b1yx(0,t)=0, a2y(π,t)+b2yx(π,t)=0 ( for i=1,2) and the periodic conditions y(x,t+T)=y(x,t), yt(x,t+T)=yt(x,t). Such a model arises from the forced vibrations of a nonhomogeneous string and the propagation of seismic waves in nonisotropic media. A main concept is the notion “weak solution” to be given in Section 2. For T is the rational multiple of π, we prove some important properties of the weak solution operator. Based on these properties, the existence and regularity of weak solutions are obtained.  相似文献

In this paper, we study the “triply” degenerate problem: bt(v)−Δg(v)+divΦ(v)=f on Q:=(0,TΩ, b(v(0,⋅))=b(v0) on Ω and “g(v)=g(a) on some part of the boundary (0,T)×∂Ω,” in the case of continuous nonhomogeneous and nonstationary boundary data a. The functions b,g are assumed to be continuous, locally Lipschitz, nondecreasing and to verify the normalization condition b(0)=g(0)=0 and the range condition R(b+g)=R. Using monotonicity and penalization methods, we prove existence of a weak renormalized entropy solution in the spirit of [K. Ammar, J. Carrillo, P. Wittbold, Scalar conservation laws with general boundary condition and continuous flux function, J. Differential Equations 228 (2006) 111-139].  相似文献

In the present article we are concerned with a class of degenerate second order differential operators LA,b defined on the cube d[0,1], with d?1. Under suitable assumptions on the coefficients A and b (among them the assumption of their Hölder regularity) we show that the operator LA,b defined on C2(d[0,1]) is closable and its closure is m-dissipative. In particular, its closure is the generator of a C0-semigroup of contractions on C(d[0,1]) and C2(d[0,1]) is a core for it. The proof of such result is obtained by studying the solvability in Hölder spaces of functions of the elliptic problem λu(x)−LA,bu(x)=f(x), xd[0,1], for a sufficiently large class of functions f.  相似文献

The article is devoted to the theory of elliptic functions of level n. An elliptic function of level n determines a Hirzebruch genus called an elliptic genus of level n. Elliptic functions of level n are also of interest because they are solutions of the Hirzebruch functional equations. The elliptic function of level 2 is the Jacobi elliptic sine function, which determines the famous Ochanine–Witten genus. It is the exponential of the universal formal group of the form F(u, v) = (u2 ? v2)/(uB(v) ? vB(u)), B(0) = 1. The elliptic function of level 3 is the exponential of the universal formal group of the form F(u, v) = (u2A(v) ? v2A(u))/(uA(v)2 ? vA(u)2), A(0) = 1, A″(0) = 0. In the present study we show that the elliptic function of level 4 is the exponential of the universal formal group of the form F(u, v) = (u2A(v) ? v2A(u))/(uB(v) ? vB(u)), where A(0) = B(0) = 1 and for B′(0) = A″(0) = 0, A′(0) = A1, and B″(0) = 2B2 the following relation holds: (2B(u) + 3A1u)2 = 4A(u)3 ? (3A12 ? 8B2)u2A(u)2. To prove this result, we express the elliptic function of level 4 in terms of the Weierstrass elliptic functions.  相似文献

In this paper we consider the semilinear elliptic problem Δu=a(x)f(u), u?0 in Ω, with the boundary blow-up condition u|Ω=+∞, where Ω is a bounded domain in RN(N?2), a(x)∈C(Ω) may blow up on ∂Ω and f is assumed to satisfy (f1) and (f2) below which include the sublinear case f(u)=um, m∈(0,1). For the radial case that Ω=B (the unit ball) and a(x) is radial, we show that a solution exists if and only if . For Ω a general domain, we obtain an optimal nonexistence result. In this paper, we study the differential equations of the following form w2+R(z)2(w(k))=Q(z), where R(z), Q(z) are nonzero rational functions. We proved the following three conclusions: (1) If either P(z) or Q(z) is a nonconstant polynomial or k is an even integer, then the differential equation w2+P2(z)2(w(k))=Q(z) has no transcendental meromorphic solution; if P(z), Q(z) are constants and k is an odd integer, then the differential equation has only transcendental meromorphic solutions of the form f(z)=acos(bz+c). (2) If either P(z) or Q(z) is a nonconstant polynomial or k>1, then the differential equation w2+(zz0)P2(z)2(w(k))=Q(z) has no transcendental meromorphic solution, furthermore the differential equation w2+A(zz0)2(w)=B, where A, B are nonzero constants, has only transcendental meromorphic solutions of the form , where a, b are constants such that Ab2=1, a2=B. (3) If the differential equation , where P is a nonconstant polynomial and Q is a nonzero rational function, has a transcendental meromorphic solution, then k is an odd integer and Q is a polynomial. Furthermore, if k=1, then Q(z)≡C (constant) and the solution is of the form f(z)=Bcosq(z), where B is a constant such that B2=C and q(z)=±P(z).  相似文献

In this paper, the Fokas unified method is used to analyze the initial-boundary value for the Chen- Lee-Liu equation

Assuming that the solution u(x, t) exists, we show that it can be represented in terms of the solution of a matrix Riemann-Hilbert problem formulated in the plane of the complex spectral parameter λ. The jump matrix has explicit (x, t) dependence and is given in terms of the spectral functions {a(λ), b(λ)} and {A(λ), B(λ)}, which are obtained from the initial data u0(x) = u(x, 0) and the boundary data g0(t) = u(0, t), g1(t) = ux(0, t), respectively. The spectral functions are not independent, but satisfy a so-called global relation.

We prove that for any intersecting family A of r-partial permutations, we have .It seems rather hard to characterize the case of equality.
