Reaction of dibenzylphosphinous acid with formic acid esters

Summary The reaction of dibenzylphosphinous acid with formic acid esters was studied in the presence of sodium. Reaction of oxochloroalkenes with phosphorous acid esters

Conclusions 2-Qxo-3-methyl-5-chloro-3-hexene and trans-2-oxo-5-chloro-3-heptene, adequate low-molecular-weight models of labile carbonylallyl groups in poly(vinyl chloride) macromolecules, were synthesized. Reaction of arynes with amino acid esters

An efficient route to a variety of 2-phenylindolin-3-ones from amino acid methyl esters has been developed. The reaction of amino acid methyl esters with benzyne prepared from 2-(trimethylsilyl)phenyl triflate and CsF gave 2-phenylindolin-3-ones in moderate to good yields.

Reaction of trifluororacemic acid methyl ester with 1,3-dienes

The reaction of trifluororacemic acid with 1,3-dienes affords Diels-Alder reaction products in a high yield and with a high degree of specificity. Reaction products of selenophosphorus acid esters with sulfuryl chloride

Reaction of 3,4,6-trioxoalkanoic acid esters with 2,4-dinitrophenylhydrazine

Methyl 3,4,6-trioxoalkanoates (3,4-dihydroxy-6-oxo-2,4-alkadienoates) reacted with 2,4-dinitrophenylhydrazine to give methyl 3,6-bis[(2,4-dinitrophenyl)hydrazinylidene]-4-oxoalkanoates or methyl {5-alkyl-2-hydroxy-1-(2,4-dinitroanilino)-3-oxo-2,3-dihydro-1H-pyrrol-2-yl }acetates. Alkyl 3,6-bis[(2,4-dinitrophenyl) hydrazinylidene]-4-oxoalkanoates were also synthesized by reaction of disodium 1-alkoxy-1,6-dioxoalka-2,4-diene-3,4-diolates with 2,4-dinitrophenylhydrazine.     

Reaction of tetracyclone with the ethyl ester of phenylphosphonous acid

Conclusions Ethyl phenylphosphonite in the presence of triethylamine is added at the carbonyl group of tetracyclone with the formation of -hydroxyphosphinate, which upon heating is converted to products which are identical to the products of 1,6- and 1,4-addition to a conjugated system of tetracyclone; in the presence of a base only the 1,6-addition occurs.Translated from Izvestiya Akademii Nauk SSSR, Seriya Khimicheskaya, No, 6, pp. 1345–1348, June, 1979.     

Reaction of 2-acetyltetralone with some esters of benzoic acid

In order to investigate the pharmacological screening of a number of pyran-4-ones their synthesis by cyclization with sulphuric acid of the corresponding 1,3,5-triketones has been carried out with high yields. In the course of preparation of the latter the reaction of 2-acetyltetralone with some esters of benzoic acid derivatives has been studied and in particular, for a number of them, an interesting nucleophilic substitution of a chlorine atom with an alkoxy group on a benzenic nucleus has been evidenced.
