A study is made of several nonlinear boundary-value problems of singular perturbation type for which a straightforward application of boundary-layer theory leads to spurious solutions. It is shown that these problems can be treated successfully by a slight modification of the method of matched asymptotic expansions. The analysis leads to several novel features which are not present in routine singular perturbation problems.  相似文献

This work considers the solution of the Vasicek-type forward interest rate model. A deterministic process is adopted to model the random behavior of interest rate variation as a deterministic perturbation. It shows that the solution of the Vasicek-type forward interest rate model can be obtained by solving a nonlinear semi-infinite programming problem. A relaxed cutting plane algorithm is then proposed for solving the resulting optimization problem. The features of the proposed method are tested using a set of real data and compared with some commonly used spline fitting methods.  相似文献

We establish convergence of the nonlinear filter of the state of a randomly perturbed dynamical system in which the perturbation is a rapidly fluctuating ergodic Markov process, and the observation process conditions the state of the system. This work presents an iterative scheme for the numerical solution of the space-time fractional two-dimensional advection–reaction–diffusion equation applying homotopy perturbation with Laplace transform using Caputo fractional-order derivatives. The solution obtained is beneficial and significant to analyze the modeling of superdiffusive systems and subdiffusive system, anomalous diffusion, transport process in porous media. This iterative technique presents the combination of homotopy perturbation technique, and Laplace transforms with He's polynomials, which can further be applied to numerous linear/nonlinear two-dimensional fractional models to computes the approximate analytical solution. In the present method, the nonlinearity can be tackle by He's polynomials. The salient features of the present scientific work are the pictorial presentations of the approximate numerical solution of the two-dimensional fractional advection–reaction–diffusion equation for different particular cases of fractional order and showcasing of the damping effect of reaction terms on the nature of probability density function of the considered two-dimensional nonlinear mathematical models for various situations.  相似文献

We show the main features of the MATLAB code HOFiD_UP for solving second order singular perturbation problems. The code is based on high order finite differences, in particular on the generalized upwind method. Within its simplicity, it uses order variation and continuation for solving any difficult nonlinear scalar problem. Several numerical tests on linear and nonlinear problems are considered. The best performances are reported on problems with perturbation parameters near the machine precision, where most of the codes for two-point BVPs fail.  相似文献

To prove existence and uniqueness (or just existence) of a bounded solution to nonlinear differential equations of higher order, we employ the contraction mapping principle and the Tikhonov Fixed Point Theorem. A quantitative estimate of a nonlinear perturbation preserving basic features of behavior of the corresponding linear equation (asymptotic stability or exponential dichotomy) is important when we pass to a nonlinear equation.  相似文献

A random perturbation of a deterministic Navier?CStokes equation is considered in the form of an SPDE with Wick type nonlinearity. The nonlinear term of the perturbation can be characterized as the highest stochastic order approximation of the original nonlinear term ${u{\nabla}u}$ . This perturbation is unbiased in that the expectation of a solution of the perturbed equation solves the deterministic Navier?CStokes equation. The perturbed equation is solved in the space of generalized stochastic processes using the Cameron?CMartin version of the Wiener chaos expansion. It is shown that the generalized solution is a Markov process and scales effectively by Catalan numbers.  相似文献

本文提出了轴对称固支圆板(含叠层板)受均布横向载荷作用下的三维非线性摄动解答.文中所考虑的是一种中等大挠度的几何非线性,并采用一种发展的摄动方法对复杂的三维非线性平衡微分方程进行求解.该方法的基本思想是以二维解答为基础,对板的厚度参数进行摄动而求得相应的三维解答.文中给出了一般板及叠层板的三维非线性理论结果及数值结果,并图示出了各个应力的分布情况.而且,该三维非线性结果能退化为完全一致的相应的二维板理论非线性结果.结果表明,该方法对板的三维非线性分析是一种行之有效的方法.  相似文献

Several nonlinear Lagrangian formulations have been recently proposed for bounded integer programming problems. While possessing an asymptotic strong duality property, these formulations offer a success guarantee for the identification of an optimal primal solution via a dual search. Investigating common features of nonlinear Lagrangian formulations in constructing a nonlinear support for nonconvex piecewise constant perturbation function, this paper proposes a generalized nonlinear Lagrangian formulation of which many existing nonlinear Lagrangian formulations become special cases.  相似文献

首次用解析的方式给出了Euler-Bernoulli梁后屈曲与非线性弯曲问题的高阶二次摄动解答.假定梁的中线不可伸长,用精确曲率公式与能量变分原理导出了非线性Euler-Bernoulli梁的模型.通过与精确解或高阶摄动解的比较,讨论了二次摄动解答的收敛性及适用域.得到主要结论如下:低阶摄动解适用于描述梁的初始后屈曲阶段及初始非线性弯曲阶段;更高阶次的摄动解适用于描述梁的深度后屈曲以及深度非线性弯曲.从这个意义上去说,该文不仅仅指出某些文献上的部分结果不精确是由于摄动解答超出了其特定的适用域,并且还进一步发展与完善了二次摄动法.  相似文献

The multiple-scale perturbation analysis is used to study the perturbed nonlinear Schrödinger’s equation, that describes the Langmuir waves in plasmas. The perturbation terms include the non-local term due to nonlinear Landau damping. In the present paper, approximate analytical and numerical solutions to nonlinear eigenvalue problems arising in nonlinear fracture mechanics in studying stress-strain fields near a crack tip under mixed-mode loading are presented. Asymptotic solutions are obtained by the perturbation method (the artificial small parameter method). The artificial small parameter is the difference between the eigenvalue corresponding to the nonlinear eigenvalue problem and the eigenvalue related to the linear “undisturbed” problem. It is shown that the perturbation technique is an effective method of solving nonlinear eigenvalue problems in nonlinear fracture mechanics. A comparison of numerical and asymptotic results for different values of the mixity parameter and hardening exponent shows good agreement. Thus, the perturbation theory technique for studying nonlinear eigenvalue problems is offered and applied to eigenvalue problems arising in fracture mechanics analysis in the case of mixed-mode loading.  相似文献

The soliton perturbation theory is used to study the solitons that are governed by the modified nonlinear Schrödinger’s equation. The adiabatic parameter dynamics of the solitons in presence of the perturbation terms are obtained. In this article we introduce the concept of a gradient-like nonlinear semigroup as an intermediate concept between a gradient nonlinear semigroup (those possessing a Lyapunov function, see [J.K. Hale, Asymptotic Behavior of Dissipative Systems, Math. Surveys Monogr., vol. 25, Amer. Math. Soc., 1989]) and a nonlinear semigroup possessing a gradient-like attractor. We prove that a perturbation of a gradient-like nonlinear semigroup remains a gradient-like nonlinear semigroup. Moreover, for non-autonomous dynamical systems we introduce the concept of a gradient-like evolution process and prove that a non-autonomous perturbation of a gradient-like nonlinear semigroup is a gradient-like evolution process. For gradient-like nonlinear semigroups and evolution processes, we prove continuity, characterization and (pullback and forwards) exponential attraction of their attractors under perturbation extending the results of [A.N. Carvalho, J.A. Langa, J.C. Robinson, A. Suárez, Characterization of non-autonomous attractors of a perturbed gradient system, J. Differential Equations 236 (2007) 570-603] on characterization and of [A.V. Babin, M.I. Vishik, Attractors in Evolutionary Equations, Stud. Math. In this paper we present a new efficient modification of the homotopy perturbation method with x 3 force nonlinear undamped oscillators for the first time that will accurate and facilitate the calculations. The He’s homotopy perturbation method is modified by adding a term to linear operator depends on the equation and boundary conditions. We find that this modified homotopy perturbation method works very well for the wide range of time and boundary conditions for nonlinear oscillator. Only two or three iteration leads to high accuracy of the solutions. We then conduct a comparative study between the new modification and the homotopy perturbation method for strongly nonlinear oscillators. Numerical illustrations are investigated to show the accurate of the techniques. The new modified method accelerates the rapid convergence of the solution, reduces the error solution and increases the validity range. The new modification introduces a promising tool for many nonlinear problems.  相似文献

Nonlinear Lagrangian theory offers a success guarantee for the dual search via construction of a nonlinear support of the perturbation function at the optimal point. In this paper, a new nonlinear dual formulation of an exponential form is proposed for bounded integer programming. This new formulation possesses an asymptotic strong duality property and guarantees a success in identifying a primal optimum solution. No actual dual search is needed in the solution process when the parameter of the nonlinear Lagrangian formulation is set to be large enough.  相似文献

Many physical and scientific phenomena are modeled by nonlinear partial differential equations (NPDEs); it is difficult to handle nonlinear part of these equations. Recently some analytical methods are applied to solve such equations. In this work, modified Camassa–Holm and Degasperis–Procesi equation is studied. Adomian’s decomposition method (ADM) is applied to obtain solution of this equation. The results are compared to those of homotopy perturbation method (HPM) and exact solution. The study highlights the significant features of the employed method and its ability to handle nonlinear partial differential equations.  相似文献
