Let F be a compact d-set in R^n with 0 〈 d ≤ n, which includes various kinds of fractals. The author establishes an embedding theorem for the Besov spaces Bpq^s(F) of Triebel and the Sobolev spaces W^1,P(F,d,μ) of Hajtasz when s 〉 1, 1 〈 p 〈∞ and 0 〈 q ≤ ∞. The author also gives some applications of the estimates of the entropy numbers in the estimates of the eigenvalues of some fractal pseudodifferential operators in the spaces Bpq^0(F) and Fpq^0(F).  相似文献

We derive a parabolic version of Omori–Yau maximum principle for a proper mean curvature flow when the ambient space has lower bound on \(\ell \)-sectional curvature. We apply this to show that the image of Gauss map is preserved under a proper mean curvature flow in euclidean spaces with uniformly bounded second fundamental forms. This generalizes the result of Wang (Math Res Lett 10:287–299, 2003) for compact immersions. We also prove a Omori–Yau maximum principle for properly immersed self-shrinkers, which improves a result in Chen et al. (Ann Glob Anal Geom 46:259–279, 2014).  相似文献

We study some classes of functions satisfying the assumptions similar to but weaker than those for the classical B2 function classes used in the research of quasi-linear parabolic equations as well as the ones used in the research of degenerate parabolic equations including porous medium equations. Consequently, we prove that a function in such a class is continuous. As an application, we obtain the estimate for the continuous modulus of the solutions of a few degenerate parabolic equations in divergence form, including the anisotropic porous equations.  相似文献

In the present paper we use the piecewise constant structure relations of a Clifford algebra in order to obtain a Cauchy–Pompeiu representation for D ? λ and Dλ operators, with these formulas we construct a distributional solutions for the equations that involves these operators with arbitrary right hand side. In our prior work, the two-dimensional bending and in-plane mode shape functions of isotropic rectangular plates were solved based on the extended Kantorovich–Krylov method. These plate modes were then applied to sandwich plate analysis using the assumed modes method. Numerical results has shown these two-dimensional plate modes improved our sandwich plate analysis. However, the rigorous mathematical convergence proof of the extended Kantorovich–Krylov method is lacking. In this article, we provide a rigorous mathematical convergence proof of the extended Kantorovich–Krylov method using the example of rectangular plate bending vibration, in which the governing equation is a biharmonic equation. The predictions of natural frequency and mode shape functions based on the extended Kantorovich–Krylov method were calculated and the results were numerically validated by other analyses. A similar convergence proof can be applied to other types of partial differential equations (PDEs) that govern vibration problems in engineering applications. Based on these results, the extended Kantorovich–Krylov method was proven to be a powerful tooi for the boundary value problems of partial differential equations in the structural vibrations.  相似文献

In this paper, we introduce and study the Sobolev spaces of exponential type associated with the Weinstein operator, via some elements of harmonic analysis related to this operator. This paper considers series solutions of the Sharma–Tasso–Olver (STO) equation. By using the extended homogenous balance method, we reduce the STO equation to a linear PDE and obtain Bäcklund transformation of it. Furthermore, the self-transformation of solutions for the STO equation is obtained. By the Bäcklund transformation and various series solutions of the PDE, abundant exact solutions of the STO equation are obtained including the multi-solitary wave solution, trigonometric function series solution, rational series solution and solution consisting of the three types of solutions.  相似文献

We relate Fuglede–Kadison determinants to entropy of finitely-presented algebraic actions in essentially complete generality. We show that if \({f\in M_{m,n}(\mathbb{Z}(\Gamma))}\) is injective as a left multiplication operator on \({\ell^{2}(\Gamma)^{\oplus n},}\) then the topological entropy of the action of \({\Gamma}\) on the dual of \({\mathbb{Z}(\Gamma)^{\oplus n}/\mathbb{Z}(\Gamma)^{\oplus m}f}\) is at most the logarithm of the positive Fuglede–Kadison determinant of f, with equality if m = n. We also prove that when m = n the measure-theoretic entropy of the action of \({\Gamma}\) on the dual of \({\mathbb{Z}(\Gamma)^{\oplus n}/\mathbb{Z}(\Gamma)^{\oplus n}f}\) is the logarithm of the Fuglede–Kadison determinant of f. This work completely settles the connection between entropy of principal algebraic actions and Fuglede–Kadison determinants in the generality in which dynamical entropy is defined. Our main Theorem partially generalizes results of Li-Thom from amenable groups to sofic groups. Moreover, we show that the obvious full generalization of the Li-Thom theorem for amenable groups is false for general sofic groups. Lastly, we undertake a study of when the Yuzvinskiǐ addition formula fails for a non-amenable sofic group \({\Gamma}\), showing it always fails if \({\Gamma}\) contains a nonabelian free group, and relating it to the possible values of L 2-torsion in general.  相似文献
