In this paper, we present an analysis for the class of delay differential equations with one discrete delay and the right‐hand side depending only on the past. We extend the results from paper by U. Fory? (Appl. Math. Lett. 2004; 17 (5):581–584), where the right‐hand side is a unimodal function. In the performed analysis, we state more general conditions for global stability of the positive steady state and propose some conditions for the stable Hopf bifurcation occurring when this steady state looses stability. In this paper,the stability and the Hopf bifurcation of small-world networks with time delay are studied.By analyzing the change of delay,we obtain several sufficient conditions on stable and unstable properties.When the delay passes a critical value,a Hopf bifurcation may appear.Furthermore,the direction and the stability of bifurcating periodic solutions are investigated by the normal form theory and the center manifold reduction.At last,by numerical simulations,we further illustrate the effectiveness of theorems in this paper. 相似文献

In this paper, we investigate a novel congestion control algorithm, i.e., exponential RED algorithm, with communication delay. We derive some necessary and sufficient conditions ensuring Hopf bifurcation to occur for this model. By choosing the delay as a bifurcation parameter, we demonstrated that Hopf bifurcation would occur when the delay exceeds a critical value. A formula for determining the bifurcation direction and stability of bifurcation periodic solutions is given by applying the normal form theory and the center manifold theorem. Some numerical simulations for justifying the theoretical results are also provided. 相似文献

In this article, we investigate the effect of prey refuge and time delay on a diffusive predator‐prey system with Holling II functional response and hyperbolic mortality subject to Neumann boundary condition. More precisely, we study Turing instability of positive equilibrium by using refuge as parameter, instability and Hopf bifurcation induced by time delay. Epidemic models are very important in today''s analysis of diseases. In this paper, we propose and analyze an epidemic model incorporating quarantine, latent, media coverage and time delay. We analyze the local stability of either the disease-free and endemic equilibrium in terms of the basic reproduction number $\mathcal{R}_{0}$ as a threshold parameter. We prove that if $\mathcal{R}_{0}<1,$ the time delay in media coverage can not affect the stability of the disease-free equilibrium and if $\mathcal{R}_{0}>1$, the model has at least one positive endemic equilibrium, the stability will be affected by the time delay and some conditions for Hopf bifurcation around infected equilibrium to occur are obtained by using the time delay as a bifurcation parameter. We illustrate our results by some numerical simulations such that we show that a proper application of quarantine plays a critical role in the clearance of the disease, and therefore a direct contact between people plays a critical role in the transmission of the disease. 相似文献

In this paper, we consider the classical mathematical model with saturation response of the infection rate and time delay. By stability analysis we obtain sufficient conditions for the global stability of the infection-free steady state and the permanence of the infected steady state. In this paper, we studied a diffusive predator-prey model with a functional response increasing in both predator and prey densities. The Turing instability and local stability are studied by analyzing the eigenvalue spectrum. Delay induced Hopf bifurcation is investigated by using time delay as bifurcation parameter. In this paper, we investigate the dynamics of a time‐delay ratio‐dependent predator‐prey model with stage structure for the predator. This predator‐prey system conforms to the realistically biological environment. The existence and stability of the positive equilibrium are thoroughly analyzed, and the sufficient and necessary conditions for the stability and instability of the positive equilibrium are obtained for the case without delay. Then, the influence of delay on the dynamics of the system is investigated using the geometric criterion developed by Beretta and Kuang. 26 We show that the positive steady state can be destabilized through a Hopf bifurcation and there exist stability switches under some conditions. The formulas determining the direction and the stability of Hopf bifurcations are explicitly derived by using the center manifold reduction and normal form theory. Finally, some numerical simulations are performed to illustrate and expand our theoretical results. 相似文献

In this paper, the Leslie-Gower predator-prey system with two delays is investigated. By choosing the delay as a bifurcation parameter, we show that Hopf bifurcations can occur as the delay crosses some critical values. In addition, special attention is paid to the global continuation of local Hopf bifurcations.
