In this paper, we present the metric for the n-dimensional charged slowly rotating dilaton black hole with N = [(n −1)/2] independent rotation parameters, associated with N orthogonal planes of rotation in the background of asymptotically flat and asymptotically (anti)-de Sitter spacetime. The mass, angular momentum and the gyromagnetic ratio of such a black hole are determined for the arbitrary values of the dilaton coupling constant. We find that the gyromagnetic ratio crucially depends on the dilaton coupling constant, α, and decreases with increasing α in any dimension.  相似文献

Motivated by many worthwhile papers about (2+1)-dimensional BTZ black hole solutions, we generalize them to (n+1)-dimensional solutions, the so-called BTZ-like solutions. We show that the electric field of BTZ-like solutions is the same as that of (2+1)-dimensional BTZ black holes, and also their lapse functions are approximately the same, too. By these similarities, it is also interesting to investigate the geometric and thermodynamics properties of the BTZ-like solutions. We find that, depending on the metric parameters, the BTZ-like solutions may be interpreted as black hole solutions with inner (Cauchy) and outer (event) horizons, an extreme black hole or naked singularity. Then, we obtain the conserved and thermodynamic quantities, and we show that they satisfy the first law of thermodynamics. Next, we perform a thermodynamic stability analysis in the canonical ensemble and find that the BTZ-like solutions are stable in the whole phase space.  相似文献

In this work we study the Dirac quasinormal modes of higher dimensional charged black holes. Higher dimensional Reissner–Nordström type black holes as well as charged black holes in Einstein–Gauss–Bonnet theories are studied for fermionic perturbations using WKB method. A comparative study of the quasinormal modes in the two different theories of gravity has been performed. The behavior of the frequencies with the variation of black hole parameters as well as with the variation of space-time dimensions is studied. We also study the large multipole number limit of the black hole potential in order to look for an analytic expression for the frequencies.  相似文献

Motivated by the recent work of the hidden conformal symmetry of the Kerr black hole, we investigate the hidden conformal symmetry of a Kerr–Sen black hole and a Kerr–Newman–Kasuya black hole. Our result shows the conformal symmetry is spontaneously broken due to the periodicity of the azimuthal angle. The absorption across section is in consistence with the finite temperature absorption cross section for a 2D CFT. The entropies of the black holes are reproduced by the Cardy formula.  相似文献

We show that the pseudotensors of Einstein, Tolman, Landau and Lifshitz, Papapetrou, and Weinberg essentially coincide for any Kerr-Schild metric if calculations are carried out in Kerr-Schild Cartesian coordinates. This generalizes a previous result by Gürses and Gürsey that dealt only with the pseudotensors of Einstein and Landau-Lifshitz. We compute exactly the energy and angular momentum distributions for the Kerr-Newman metric in Kerr-Schild Cartesian coordinates and compare the results with those obtained by using different definitions of quasilocal mass, which unlike pseudotensors do not agree for all Kerr-Schild metrics.  相似文献

In this paper, we consider a charged rotating AdS black holes in four dimensions and study the effects of leading-order thermal corrections on the thermodynamics of such system explicitly. The first-order corrected thermodynamical quantities also satisfy the first-law of thermodynamics of the black holes. The holographic duality between the charged rotating AdS black holes and Van der Waals fluid is also emphasized through the \(P-v\) diagram. Finally, we study the effects of the leading-order thermal corrections on the stability of the charged rotating black holes.  相似文献

We prove a uniqueness theorem for asymptotically flat static charged dilaton black-hole solutions in higher-dimensional space-times. We also construct infinitely many nonasymptotically flat regular static black holes on the same space-time manifold with the same spherical topology. In this work, we study the optical properties of a class of magnetically charged rotating black hole spacetimes. The black holes in question are assumed to be immersed in the quintessence field, and subsequently, the resulting black hole shadows are expected to be modified by the presence of dark energy. We investigate the photon region and the black hole shadow, especially their dependence on the relevant physical conditions, such as the quintessence state parameter, angular momentum, and magnetic charge magnitude. The photon regions depend sensitively on the horizon structure and possess intricate features. Moreover, from the viewpoint of a static observer, we explore a few observables, especially those associated with the distortion of the observed black hole shadows.  相似文献

We study a five-dimensional spacetime admitting, in the presence of torsion, a non-degenerate conformal Killing–Yano 2-form which is closed with respect to both the usual exterior differentiation and the exterior differentiation with torsion. Furthermore, assuming that the torsion is closed and co-closed with respect to the exterior differentiation with torsion, we prove that such a spacetime is the only spacetime given by the Chong–Cvetič–Lü–Pope solution for stationary, rotating charged black holes with two independent angular momenta in five-dimensional minimal gauged supergravity.  相似文献

We present perturbative charged rotating 5D Einstein-Maxwell black holes with spherical horizon topology. The electric charge Q is the perturbative parameter, the perturbations being performed up to 4th order. The expressions for the relevant physical properties of these black holes are given. The gyromagnetic ratio g, in particular, is explicitly shown to be non-constant in higher order, and thus to deviate from its lowest order value, g = 3. Comparison of the perturbative analytical solutions with their non-perturbative numerical counterparts shows remarkable agreement.  相似文献

We present the metric for a rotating black hole with a cosmological constant and with arbitrary angular momenta in all higher dimensions. The metric is given in both Kerr-Schild and the Boyer-Lindquist form. In the Euclidean-signature case, we also obtain smooth compact Einstein spaces on associated S(D-2) bundles over S2, infinitely many for each odd D>/=5. In this paper, we study slowly rotating black hole solutions in Lovelock gravity (n = 3). These solutions are obtained in uncharged and charged cases, respectively. Up to the linear order of the rotating parameter a, the entropy and gyromagnetic ratio of black holes keep invariant after introducing the Gauss-Bonnet and third order Lovelock interactions.  相似文献

We consider the production of the Standard Model Higgs boson through the gluon fusion mechanism in hadron collisions. We present the next-to-next-to-leading order (NNLO) QCD result of the hard-collinear coefficient function for the all-order resummation of logarithmically enhanced contributions at small transverse momentum. The coefficient function controls NNLO contributions in resummed calculations at full next-to-next-to-leading logarithmic accuracy. The same coefficient function is used in applications of the subtraction method to perform fully exclusive perturbative calculations up to NNLO.  相似文献
