On-line low temperature nuclear orientation (OLNO) experiments have been performed on the odd-A Te isotopes 131Te and 133Te using the technique of nuclear magnetic resonance on oriented nuclei (NMR/ON). The magnetic moments of the isomeric 11/2 states have been measured extending the known data on these states in the Te isotopes up to the neutron shell closure at N = 82. The contribution to the 11/2 magnetic moment in 133Te due to core polarisation is calculated using an RPA shell model as well as corrections to the magnetic dipole operator caused by mesonic exchange currents. The neutron number dependence of the magnetic moments of the 11/2 isomers in heavy Te isotopes is discussed in terms of particle-core coupling model (PCM) calculations.  相似文献

A new α-line with Eα = 9.912±0.020 MeV is assigned to an isomeric state in 216Th. It decays with a half-life of T12 = 180±40 μs. There are indications for a dominating γ-branch.  相似文献

The electron-capture decay of 209At has been investigated and present data define twenty-one levels in 209Po. The multipolarities of thirty-six transitions have been deduced and combined with data from recent reaction studies to assign spins and parities to levels. Evidence is presented to identify seniority one and seniority three states below 2.3 MeV which arise from couplings of the one-neutron hole with two-proton configurations. A calculation using experimental data from neighboring isotopes in the lead region to approximate residual interactions was found to give remarkable agreement with the experimental level structure below 1.6 MeV. First-forbidden electron-capture transition rates to even parity levels at 2.3 and 2.9 MeV in 209Po are discussed with reference to the g92and i112. seniority one neutron states.  相似文献

The α-decay of 210At has been investigated with α-γ coincidence techniques. Spins of 206Bi levels below 500 keV have been deduced from recent electron-capture studies of 206Po, reaction studies of 206Bi and present results. Calculations of the α-decay rates and electromagnetic transition probabilities using wave functions in a. truncated configuration space are compared with the experimental results.  相似文献

Eight new isomeric states with half-lives in the range 10 μs-30 ms have been identified following bombardment with 17.5 MeV protons of the natural elements and separated isotopes of the elements Eu to Pb. Improved data on 14, previously reported, isomeric states have also been obtained. The energies, half-lives and multipolarities of the gamma rays from these states have been measured using an 8 cm3 Ge(Li) detector. In most cases, level schemes have been constructed, and the spin and parity of the isomeric level and intermediate levels populated in the decay have been determined. A group of hindered E2 transitions have been observed, all of which are retarded by approximately the same degree e.g. 3 × 10−3 Weisskopf units. The results are discussed in terms of the Nilsson model and in terms of the selection rules for transitions between Nilsson states.  相似文献

Conversion electron measurements of the low-energy transition depopulating the isomeric 8+ level in 208Po yielded Eγ = 4025 ± 20 eV and the conversion intensity ratios N1/N2 ? 0.2, N2/N3 = 0.75 ± 0.10, N4.5/N3 ? 0.2, O/N3 = 0.35 ± 0.10, P/N3 ? 0.1 and N3/M3 = 0.4 ± 0.2. These ratios are in accord with our calculations for the E2 multipolarity and exclude all other multipolarities with L ≦ 4. The total conversion coefficient was calculated to be 1.31 × 107.  相似文献

The decay properties of the 31 y 178Hf isomeric state have been investigated by means of a Ge(Li)-NaI(Tl) Compton suppression device and a Si(Li) detector, as well as with Ge(Li) and Ge(Li), intrinsic Ge and Si(Li) coincidence arrangements. From the E3 character of the unobserved isomeric transition (11.7 ≦ EIT ≦ 16.7 keV), deduced from L-subshell and M/L ratios, Iπ, K of the isomeric level was determined as 16+, 16. The {p[404] ↓ + p1514] ↑ + n[514] ↓ + n[624]↑}16+ + four quasi-particle configuration was assigned to this level at 2447.5 ± 2.5 keV. As proposed earlier the isomeric E3 transition decays to the 13? level of the band built upon the Iπ = 8? isomer. The |gK?gR| values derived from E2M1 ratios of interband transitions show that the 8? isomer contains about 36 % of the p[404] ↓ + p[514] ↑ configuration and about 64 % of the n[624] ↑ + n[514] ↓ configuration.  相似文献

A search for the γ-decay of the shape isomer in muonic 238U excited by radiationless transitions has been performed. Seven delayed transitions in the energy region of 700 to 3200 keV have been observed with a large Ge(Li) detector. Two transitions with Eγ = 2215 and 3131 keV have been attributed to the decay of the shape isomeric state into levels in the first well. The isomeric shift of the second minimum E11 ≈ 600 keV in the presence of the muon and the decrease of the lifetime of the shape isomer to τ = 12 ± 2 ns give arguments in favour of the connection of shape isomerism with large quadrupole deformations.  相似文献

The g-factors of the first 2+ levels in 102Ru, 106Pd and 110Cd have been remeasured with increased accuracy, using the perturbed angular correlation method and the radio-active mother isotopes dissolved in ferromagnetic lattices. The results are g = ± 0.408 + 0.034, g = + 0.399 ± 0.029 and g = + 0.35 ± 0.07 respectively. Possible sources of error in the use of internal fields are discussed.  相似文献

Earlier measurements on half-lives of the 686 keV, 625 keV and 618 keV levels in 187Re have shown remarkable disagreements. The main object of this investigation has been to remeasure these half-lives by means of the delayed coincidence method utilizing a long-lens electron-electron spectrometer. The half-lives of these levels were measured as being: 686 keV level: T12 = 10±3 ps; 625 keV level: T12 = 548 ± 20 ps; 618 keV level: T12 <50 ps.  相似文献

An analysis of 165Tm decay has shown that precision measurements of the γ-ray and internal conversion electron intensities, in combination with angular correlation measurements, provide additional data useful for the determination of the mixing and intensity ratios of γ-transitions with a small energy difference. The spin of the 589.868 keV state is found to be Iπ = 12?. Doublet opposite-parity transitions from states at 1103.495, 920.632 and 745.968 keV to levels near 590 keV with an energy difference ΔE = 108 ± 22 eV are identified.  相似文献

High resolution γ-ray studies have shown the decay patterns of isomers of 85Y to be very complex. A level scheme of 85Sr is proposed from the results of γ-γ coincidence measurements. Spin and parity assignments to the levels of 85Sr were made on the basis of log ft values, nuclear reaction data and γ-ray branchings. The level scheme is discussed within the theoretical framework of n(g92)?3 cluster properties.  相似文献

The excited states of the 78, 80, 81Kr and 80, 81, 83Rb nuclei were investigated in radio-active decays of the respective Rb and Sr isotopes. The level schemes were established and for a number of levels the spin-parity assignments suggested on the basis of the log ft values and γ-branching ratios, as well as in some cases angular-correlation results. The structures of excited states of the odd Kr, odd Rb, and doubly even Kr isotopes are compared and discussed in the framework of existing theoretical approaches.  相似文献

The 230U decay chain has been investigated using Ge(Li) spectrometers in singles and coincidence measurements. The internal-conversion spectra have been studied in a β-spectrometer with a Si(Li) detector placed in a homogeneous magnetic field. A total of 31 γ-ray transitions, 14 of which have not been reported before, have been observed in the decay of 230U and its descendants. All transitions could be unambiguously placed in the individual level schemes. The new band-heads at 805 and 914 keV in 226Th and 222Ra, respectively, are proposed as 0+ quadrupole-pairing vibrations. No evidence has been found for the existence of 0+ two-phonon harmonic octupole states in these nuclei. A possible anharmonicity of the octupole vibrations is discussed.  相似文献

The anisotropies of the 177, 326, and 503 keV γ-transitions between negative parity states of 131Xe have been remeasured in the decay of oriented 131I nuclei. In addition the linear polarization of the 503 keV radiation has been determined with a Compton polarimeter consisting of two Ge(Li) detectors. A combined analysis of the reported experiment and earlier internal conversion and angular distribution data yields the unique assignments 92?and72? for the levels at 341 and 667 keV. The E2M1 mixing ratios of the 177 and 326 keV transitions are δ(177) = ?4.5 ± 1.5 and δ(326) = ?4.4 ± 1.6. The intensity of the L = 2 component in the first forbidden β-decay to the 667 keV level is at most 60 %.  相似文献

The 18N(β?)18O decay was observed via the 9Be(18O, p2α)18N reaction, utilizing helium-transport techniques and Ge(Li) spectroscopy. In addition to the previously reported β-decay to the 18O 4456 keV level (Jπ = 1?) branches were observed to levels at excitation energies (in keV) of 1982 (Jπ = 2+). 5530(2?), 6198(1?). 6350(2? or 1+), 6880(0?), and 7771(2?). The percentage β-branches, in order of increasing excitation energy, are 3.9 ± 1.5, 54.6 ± 1.0, 3.1 ± 0.4, 1.4 ± 0.2, 2.2 ± 0.3, 14.8 ± 0.8 and 5.0 ± 0.5. respectively, with 15 % assumed on the basis of calculations to proceed to non-γ-emitting states. These measurements allow definite assignments Jπ = 1? for the 18N ground state and Jπ = 0? for the 18O 6880 keV state. Additional measurements determine the 18N half-life to be T1 2 = 624 ± 12 ms. A shell-model calculation for mass 18 was carried out in a full 1?ω basis. The predictions for the T = 2 energy level spectrum and for 18N β-decay are discussed.  相似文献

Gamma energies in the level schemes of 95,96,97Sr, 95,96,97Y, and 95,97Zr are reported. Some of their excited levels are populated by delayed neutron emission. These nuclei were produced as daughters of Rb fission fragments originating from the reaction 235U(n, f). By thermal ionization they were separated from fission products having other nuclear charge states and by an on-line mass separator according to their respective masses.  相似文献
