Adsorption behaviors of 25 anions to zirconium(IV) and titanium(IV) chemically immobilized on a gel-phase were studied by ion chromatography and by batch adsorption experiments. The affinities of Zr(IV) to iminodiacetate as an anchoring group and to anions as a sample are much stronger than those of Ti(IV). On a Zr(IV) column, fourteen anions showed no retention, four anions showed pH-dependent retention in a low pH region, and seven anions were irreversibly adsorbed at pH <7. In the last group, fluoride was adsorbed both by the ligand exchange mechanism and the addition mechanism, while phosphate, arsenate and selenite were only by the ligand exchange mechanism. The structures of the adsorbed species are discussed.  相似文献

The removal of both anions (phosphate, arsenate, arsenite and borate ions) and cations (copper ions) has been investigated by employing a lab-developed amphoteric polybenzimidazole (PBI) nanofiltration (NF) hollow fiber membrane. The amphoteric characteristics are due to the imidazole group within PBI molecules that makes the PBI NF membrane have an isoelectric point near pH 7.0 and show different charge signs based on the media pH. Investigations on the rejection capability of typical anions, e.g. phosphate, arsenate, arsenite, borate anions and typical heavy metal cations, e.g. copper ions, reveal that the PBI NF membrane exhibits impressive rejection performance for various ions removal. However, their rejections are strongly dependent on the chemical nature of electrolytes, solution pHs and the feed concentrations. The experimental results are analyzed by using the Spiegler–Kedem model with the transport parameters of the reflection coefficient (σ) and the solute permeability (P). The PBI NF membrane may have potential to be used in industrial removal of various environmentally unfriendly ion species.  相似文献

Ferric-impregnated volcanic ash (FVA) which consisted mainly of different forms of iron and aluminum oxide minerals was developed for arsenate (V) removal from an aqueous medium. The adsorption experiments were conducted in both DI water samples and actual water (Lake Kasumigaura, Japan) to investigate the effects of solution mineralization degree on the As(V) removal. Kinetic and equilibrium studies conducted in actual water revealed that the mineralization of water greatly elevated the As(V) adsorption on FVA. The experiment performed in DI water indicated that the existence of multivalence metallic cations significantly enhanced the As(V) adsorption ability, whereas competing anions such as fluoride and phosphate greatly decreased the As(V) adsorption. It is suggested that FVA is a cost-effective adsorbent for As(V) removal in low-level phosphate and fluoride solution. It was important to conduct the batch experiment using the actual water to investigate the arsenic removal on adsorbents.  相似文献

In this study, ammonium-functionalized MCM-48 (Mobil Composite Material No. 48) was used as an adsorbent to remove nitrate (NO(-)(3)) and monobasic phosphate (H(2)PO(-)(4)) anions from aqueous solutions. The effects of operating conditions such as temperature, adsorbent loading, initial anion concentration, pH, and the presence of competitive ions on the adsorption performances were examined. Results showed that adsorption capacity decreased with increasing temperature. The adsorption capacity increased with adsorbent loading and initial anion concentration. The removal of nitrate was maximum at pH<8, while phosphate removal was maximized at pH 5. The adsorption was almost unaffected by the presence of competitive ions in the case of phosphate anions. However, their presence adversely affected nitrate adsorption. Desorption of both anions was rapidly achieved within 10 min using NaOH at 0.01 M. Regeneration tests showed that the adsorbent retained its capacity after 5 adsorption-desorption cycles.  相似文献

Novel aminated polyacrylonitrile fibers (APANFs) were prepared through the reaction of polyacrylonitrile fibers (PANFs) with four multinitrogen-containing aminating reagents, and the best adsorbent was obtained after the optimization of preparation experiments. The APANFs were effective for arsenate removal from aqueous solution, and the sorption behaviors including kinetics, isotherms, effect of pH, and competitive anions were investigated. Experimental results show that the equilibrium of arsenate sorption on the fibers was achieved within 1 h, and Langmuir equation described the sorption isotherms well with a high sorption capacity of 256.1 mg/g obtained. The thermodynamic parameters calculated show that the sorption was spontaneous and exothermic under the condition applied. The zero point of zeta potential of the APANFs was at about pH = 8.2, in contrast with that of the PANFs at pH = 3.6. Fourier transform infrared (FTIR) and X-ray photoelectron spectroscopy (XPS) for the APANFs before and after arsenate adsorption revealed that the amine groups on the fiber surface played an important role in the removal of arsenate from water, attributed to the electrostatic interaction between the positive protonated amine groups and negative arsenate ions.  相似文献

Phosphate removal from aqueous solution was investigated using ZnCl2-activated carbon developed from coir pith, an agricultural solid waste. Studies were conducted to delineate the effect of contact time, adsorbent dose, phosphate concentration, pH, and temperature. The adsorption equilibrium data followed both Langmuir and Freundlich isotherms. Langmuir adsorption capacity was found to be 5.1 mg/g. Adsorption followed second-order kinetics. The removal was maximum in the pH range 3–10. pH effect and desorption studies showed that adsorption occurred by both ion exchange and chemisorption mechanisms. Adsorption was found to be spontaneous and endothermic. Effect of foreign ions on adsorption shows that perchlorate, sulfate, and selenite decreased the percent removal of phosphate.  相似文献

The effect of temperature and pH on the zeta potential of alpha-Al2O3 and adsorption of fluoride ions at the alpha-Al2O3/aqueous solution interface has been investigated through electrophoretic mobility measurements and adsorption studies, to delineate mechanisms involved in the removal of fluoride ions from water using alumina as adsorbent. When the temperature increases from 10 to 40 degrees C, the pH of the point of zero charge (pH(pzc)) shifts to smaller values, indicating proton desorption from the alumina surface. The pH(pzc) increases linearly with 1/T, which allowed estimation of the standard enthalpy change for the surface-deprotonation process. Fluoride ion adsorption follows a Langmuir-type adsorption isotherm and is affected by the electric charge at the alpha-Al2O3/aqueous solution interface and the surface density of hydroxyl groups. Such adsorption occurs through an exchange between fluoride ions and surface-hydroxyl groups and it depends on temperature, pH, and initial fluoride ion concentration. At 25 and 40 degrees C, maximum fluoride adsorption density takes place between pH 5 and 6. Increasing the temperature from 25 to 40 degrees C lowers the adsorption density of fluoride.  相似文献

The characteristics of fluoride ion adsorption onto carbonaceous materials were derived as adsorption isotherms at different temperatures and in different pH solutions. The fluoride ion was adsorbed into pores in carbonaceous materials produced from wood; the larger the specific surface area, the more fluoride ions adsorbed. Bone char was the most effective adsorbent. The composition of bone char includes calcium phosphate, calcium carbonate, and so on. This suggests that the phosphate ion in bone char was exchanged with a fluoride ion. Moreover, the mechanism of fluoride ion adsorption onto bone char is clearly chemical in nature because the amount of fluoride ion adsorbed onto bone char increased with increasing temperature and decreasing pH. The amount of fluoride ion adsorbed onto bone char was also shown to depend on the concentration of sodium chloride in solution because of the "salting-out" effect. The adsorption of fluoride ion onto bone char is endothermic. Bone char can be utilized to remove fluoride ions from drinking water.  相似文献

基于流动注射离子选择电极法(FIA-ISE)测定痕量Na 原理,建立了一种能自动测定阳离子交换树脂各种交换性能的方法,对影响阳阳离子交换树脂交换容量的各种因素进行考察,筛选出凝胶型强阳离子交换树脂(SACR)交换性能测定的最佳条件:微型交换柱内径3.0mm、长80mm;树脂填充量0.1951g;再生剂HCl浓度为3.0%,其流速为0.90mL/min(7.64m/h),再生剂耗量350mL/g(干树脂);样品为20mg/LNa 溶液,其流速为1.50mL/min;实现了一次测定同时获得SACR的工作交换容量、平衡交换容量、全交换容量、交换速率和树脂利用率。与ASTM法进行对照实验,其结果相关性良好(r=0.9922)。  相似文献

The ng/L level of anions and cations in 20–130 mL high-purity water can be analyzed after preconcentration on ion exchange columns. The concentrated solutes are eluted by eluents from the trap column and separated using a Dionex analytical column. The quantification of each ion is achieved using the suppressor technique and conductivity detector. The influence of various parameters on the results is discussed. The detection limits of cations and anions are between 10 and 30 ng/L for chloride, bromide, nitrate, phosphate, sulphate, sodium, ammonium, potassium, magnesium and calcium ions.  相似文献

采用水热合成法成功制备了氧化锆-活性炭纤维复合材料,并研究了其对F-的吸附行为.表征结果表明,复合材料中氧化锆粒子成功负载于活性炭纤维上.吸附实验结果表明,负载了氧化锆的活性炭纤维对F-有高效的去除效率,其吸附机理包括离子交换和静电作用力,吸附等温线符合Langmuir等温吸附模式,吸附动力学可用拟二级动力学模型拟合.吸附量随着溶液pH的升高而降低,共存离子Cl-、NO3-和SO42-对F-在氧化锆-活性炭纤维复合材料上的吸附几乎没有影响.  相似文献

Abstract

Selective adsorption of trace arsenite- and arsenate anions in an aqueous solution by ferric hydroxyde supported on silica gel particles was investigated. Silica gel particles were loaded with ferric hydroxide of the range of 1 – 3 wt. % in terms of Fe based on the dry gel, and the extent of adsorption of arsenite or arsenate ion measured by batch- and column processes, being the highest at pH 6 in the presence of diverse foreign ions. With the use of silica gel containing 3.3 wt. % Fe, as much as 0.07 m mol of arsenic per gram of dry gel was adsorbed.  相似文献

The adsorption of fluoride onto metallurgical grade alumina (to produce Al) was investigated under different conditions: pH, contact time and adsorbent concentration. Data were evaluated with the aim of developing an alternative treatment technology for washing wastewater arising from an Aluminum can production plant. Kinetics and adsorption isotherms data have been also produced Sorption is greatly affected by pH and the best condition for fluoride removal are obtained at pH 5-6 and alkalinity competes successfully with fluoride ions for the exchange sites. Experiments with fixed beds indicate that fluoride is removed from wastewater by metallurgical-grade alumina with a capacity of 12.21 mg of F per gram and adsorption increases of about 25% at appropriate pH. The Mass Transfer Zone at 5% of the breakthrough occupies 70.6% of the total column length. The optimization of aluminum precipitation by pH adjustment and with different precipitant agents has been done.  相似文献

鉴于离子交换色谱中被测离子和有机聚合物树脂之间存在的吸附作用, 选择阴离子交换色谱柱IonPacAS9-HC为研究对象, 针对离子交换色谱中的吸附保留行为, 从色谱混合保留机理的角度出发, 考虑各色谱柱固定相含量和界面吸附面积的不同, 建立柱间保留的相互关系方程. 在五根不同批号IonPacAS9-HC (250 mm×2 mm I.D.)柱上, 以含50%乙腈(V/V)的9 mmol/L Na2CO3为流动相, 0.25 mL/min流速, 对12个不同结构类型的无机和有机阴离子(氟离子、氯离子、硫酸根、磷酸根、二羟基丁酸、丙酮酸、乙酸、丙烯酸、苯甲酸、丙二酸、酒石酸和邻苯二甲酸)的保留行为进行研究, 并采用推导所得的混合保留机理模型对溶质这一保留特征进行表征, 结果较为理想, 其中一价离子的相关系数为0.9~0.999, 二价离子的相关系数为0.999~1, 为离子交换色谱中吸附保留行为的研究提供了新方法.  相似文献

Replacement of one anion from goethite with another provides useful insight into the irreversible adsorption of the first added anion in a binary system. The objective of this study was to investigate the irreversible adsorption of dimethylarsinate (DMA), monomethylarsonate (MMA), arsenate, and phosphate onto goethite at pH 4 in phosphate and arsenic binary systems by adding two anions sequentially. The density of irreplaceable phosphate or arsenic on goethite decreases to a limit with an increase in the initial concentration of the other anion. This limit is the density of MMA, arsenate, and phosphate that irreversibly adsorbs onto goethite, which depends on the adsorption density of these species in the adsorption phase. The highest limit of phosphate that cannot be replaced with DMA, MMA, and arsenate is respectively 1.9, 0.5, 0.8 micromol m(-2). The limit of irreplaceable DMA is zero, and the highest limit of irreplaceable MMA and arsenate is 0.9 and 1.1 micromol m(-2), respectively. The results indicate that the irreversible adsorption of one specific anion in arsenic and phosphate binary systems is affected not only by the adsorption density of this anion before the addition of the other anion but also by the nature of the other.  相似文献

将氯氧化锆、三氯化铁分别与双氧水和氨水反应,生成锆、铁水合金属氧化物。用这两种氧化物作为吸附剂对水中的磷进行吸附。讨论了吸附过程对吸附容量的影响因素(温度、pH、时间)及除磷机理。实验结果表明,在低的pH值下,吸附容量最大;该吸附过程主要是以离子交换反应进行的吸热过程;可以用Freundlich方程表示静态吸附的吸附等温线;吸附动力学符合一级反应方程。  相似文献

基于FIA-ISE测定痕量Na~+原理,建立了一种自动测定弱酸性阳离子交换树脂(WACR)交换性能的方法.本研究对WACR交换性能的各影响因素进行考察,优选出其测定条件:微型交换柱内径3.0mm、长80mm;交换反应温度33℃;树脂填充量0.1762g;样品为NaOH溶液(Na~+浓度10mg/L),流速0.92mL/min;再生剂(HCl)浓度4%,流速1.25mL/min,用量40mL.本方法实现了一次测定同时获得WACR平衡交换容量(E_q)、全交换容量(E_t)和利用率(η)等多个指标.与GB法对比,二者相关性好(r=0.9904).  相似文献

Two-stage adsorption was used for selective removal of Cu(II) and phosphate from aqueous solutions. In the first stage, adsorption of Cu(II) and phosphate on oxyhumolite (OX) was examined. The pseudo second-order equation was found to be the best fit for the kinetic adsorption data. The adsorption capacity of OX for Cu(II) and phosphate depends on the adsorption time, the equilibrium pH influences only the adsorption of Cu(II). The high adsorption efficiency (E = 95 %, pH 3.5, 0.5 g of the solid sorbent and 50 cm3 of the solution, c = 4 mmol dm?3) of OX for Cu(II) is caused by the presence of humic acids (HA). In the second stage, blast furnace slag (BFS) and activated blast furnace slag (BFS-A) were used to remove phosphates. The presence of OX in the first stage positively influences the adsorption efficiency of sorbents in the second stage due to the soluble humic compounds and residues of humic acids (HA) which support the precipitation of Ca-phosphates on BFS and the ions exchange reactions on BFS-A. Adsorption equilibrium of phosphate on both slags at 298 K can be well described by the Langmuir isotherm equation. Desorption of Cu(II) from OX was around 70 %. The presence of OX in the first stage also influences the desorption of phosphate bound in the second stage. Desorption efficiency of both slags for phosphate was about 60 %.  相似文献
