考虑策略工作休假M/M/1排队,简记为M/M/1(N-WV)。在休假期间,服务员并未完全停止工作而是以较低的速率为顾客服务。用拟生灭过程和矩阵几何解方法,我们给出了有直观概率意义的稳态队长和稳态条件等待时间的分布。此外,我们也得到了队长和等待时间的条件随机分解结构及附加队长和附加延迟的分布。 相似文献

Consider a GI/M/1 queue with phase-type working vacations and vacation interruption where the vacation time follows a phase-type distribution. The server takes the original work at the lower rate during the vacation period. And, the server can come back to the normal working level at a service completion instant if there are customers at this instant, and not accomplish a complete vacation. From the PH renewal process theory, we obtain the transition probability matrix. Using the matrix-analytic method, we obtain the steady-state distributions for the queue length at arrival epochs, and waiting time of an arbitrary customer. Meanwhile, we obtain the stochastic decomposition structures of the queue length and waiting time. Two numerical examples are presented lastly. 相似文献

In this paper, an M/G/1 queue with exponentially working vacations is analyzed. This queueing system is modeled as a two-dimensional embedded Markov chain which has an M/G/1-type transition probability matrix. Using the matrix analytic method, we obtain the distribution for the stationary queue length at departure epochs. Then, based on the classical vacation decomposition in the M/G/1 queue, we derive a conditional stochastic decomposition result. The joint distribution for the stationary queue length and service status at the arbitrary epoch is also obtained by analyzing the semi-Markov process. Furthermore, we provide the stationary waiting time and busy period analysis. Finally, several special cases and numerical examples are presented. 相似文献

We study a discrete-time GI/Geo/1 queue with server vacations. In this queueing system, the server takes vacations when the system does not have any waiting customers at a service completion instant or a vacation completion instant. This type of discrete-time queueing model has potential applications in computer or telecommunication network systems. Using matrix-geometric method, we obtain the explicit expressions for the stationary distributions of queue length and waiting time and demonstrate the conditional stochastic decomposition property of the queue length and waiting time in this system. 相似文献

In this paper we consider a discrete-time GeoX/G/1 queue with unreliable server and multiple adaptive delayed vacations policy in which the vacation time, service time, repair time and the delayed time all follow arbitrary discrete distribution. By using a concise decomposition method, the transient and steady-state distributions of the queue length are studied, and the stochastic decomposition property of steady-state queue length has been proved. Several common vacation policies are special cases of the vacation policy presented in this study. The relationship between the generating functions of steady-state queue length at departure epoch and arbitrary epoch is obtained. Finally, we give some numerical examples to illustrate the effect of the parameters on several performance characteristics. 相似文献

Abstract We present a transform-free distribution of the steady-state queue length for the GI/G/1/K queueing system with multiple vacations under exhaustive FIFO service discipline. The method we use is a modified supplementary variable technique and the result we obtain is expressed in terms of conditional expectations of the remaining service time, the remaining interarrival time, and the remaining vacation, conditional on the queue length at the embedded points. Consider a Geo/Geo/1 retrial queue with working vacations and vacation interruption, and assume requests in the orbit try to get service from the server with a constant retrial rate. During the working vacation period, customers can be served at a lower rate. If there are customers in the system after a service completion instant, the vacation will be interrupted and the server comes back to the normal working level. We use a quasi birth and death process to describe the considered system and derive a condition for the stability of the model. Using the matrix-analytic method, we obtain the stationary probability distribution and some performance measures.
