Minimizing Constant Mean Curvature Hypersurfaces in Hyperbolic Space

We study the constant mean curvature (CMC) hypersurfaces in whose asymptotic boundaries are closed codimension-1 submanifolds in . We consider CMC hypersurfaces as generalizations of minimal hypersurfaces. We naturally generalize some notions of minimal hypersurfaces like being area-minimizing, convex hull property, exchange roundoff trick to CMC hypersurface context. We also give a generic uniqueness result for CMC hypersurfaces in hyperbolic space.     

Radial Graphs with Constant Mean Curvature in the Hyperbolic Space

The existence is proved of radial graphs with constant mean curvature in the hyperbolic space H ⁿ⁺¹ defined over domains in geodesic spheres of H ⁿ⁺¹ whose boundary has positive mean curvature with respect to the inward orientation.

Spectral Properties of Constant Mean Curvature Submanifolds in Hyperbolic Space

In this work we determine the essential spectrum of the stability operator of a submanifold of the hyperbolic space with constant mean curvature h < 1 and finite total curvature. In some particular cases, we also give a bound on the number of eigenvalues which are below the essential spectrum.     

A Maximum Principle at Infinity for Surfaces with Constant Mean Curvature in Euclidean Space

Maximum principles at infinity generalize Hopf's maximum principle for hypersurfaces with constant mean curvature in R ⁿ . We establish such a maximum principle for parabolic surfaces in R³ with nonzero constant mean curvature and bounded Gaussian curvature.     

Surfaces of Constant Mean Curvature Bounded by Two Planar Curves

In this paper we study constant mean curvature compact surfaces with two Jordan curves in parallel planes as boundary and we investigate the point at which the surface inherits the symmetries of its boundary.     

Surfaces of Constant Mean Curvature Bounded by Convex Curves

This paper proves that an embedded compact surface in the Euclidean space with constant mean curvature H bounded by a circle of radius 1 and included in a slab of width is a spherical cap. Also, we give partial answers to the problem when a surface with constant mean curvature and planar boundary lies in one of the halfspaces determined by the plane containing the boundary, exactly, when the surface is included in a slab.     

常曲率空间中具平行平均曲率向量的子流形

本文利用第二基本形式的长度平方和平均曲率的关系研究常曲率空间中具平行平均曲率向量的子流形为全脐的ｐｉｎｃｈｉｎｇ问题，获得了一定条件下的最佳ｐｉｎｃｈｉｎｇ区间，并确定了ｐｈｉｎｃｎｉｎｇ区间端点处对应非全脐子流形的分类．     

Lorentz空间中常平均曲率类空超曲面

本文证明了ｎ＋１维Ｌｏｒｅｎｔｚ空Ｌｎ＋１中以Ｓｎ－１（ｒ）为边界的紧致常平均曲率类空超曲面只有 Ｂｎ（ｒ）和超伪球面盖．对于 Ｒｎ＋１中的紧致常平均曲率超曲面，当高斯映照像落在一个半球面内时，得到相应的唯一性结果．     

Geodesic Graphs with Constant Mean Curvature in Spheres

We study the existence and unicity of graphs with constant mean curvature in the Euclidean sphere of radius a. Given a compact domain , with some conditions, contained in a totally geodesic sphere S of and a real differentiable function on , we define the graph of in considering the height (x) on the minimizing geodesic joining the point x of to a fixed pole of . For a real number H such that |H| is bounded for a constant depending on the mean curvature of the boundary of and on a fixed number in (0,1), we prove that there exists a unique graph with constant mean curvature H and with boundary , whenever the diameter of is smaller than a constant depending on . If we have conditions on , that is, let be a graph over of a function, if |H| is bounded for a constant depending only on the mean curvature of and if the diameter of is smaller than a constant depending on H and , then we prove that there exists a unique graphs with mean curvature H and boundary . The existence of such a graphs is equivalent to assure the existence of the solution of a Dirichlet problem envolving a nonlinear elliptic operator.

设Ｍ是常曲率ｃ的ｄｅ Ｓｉｔｔｅｒ空间Ｓ１＾ｎ＋１（ｃ）的常平均曲率的完备类空超曲面,Ｓ表示第二形式的范数平方。本文证明：差Ｓ〈２√ｎ－１ｃ,则Ｍ是全脐的和等距于一球面。     

拟常曲率空间中具有常平均曲率的完备超曲面

主要研究了拟常曲率空间中具有常平均曲率的完备超曲面,得到了这类超曲面全脐的一个结果.即若Nn+1的生成元η∈TM,且a-2|b|=c(常数)>0,则当S<2 n-1~(1/2)(a-2|b|)时,M为全脐超曲面.     

Hamiltonian Systems Derived from Constant Mean Curvature Surfaces in Hyperbolic Three-Space

We give a representation formula for surfaces of constant mean curvature in Euclidean or hyperbolic space, which is a natural generalization of Weierstrass-Enneper representation formula. The data (two functions) used in our formula should satisfy a certain system of differential equations. The system can be interpreted as an infinite dimensional Hamiltonian system. We investigate two finite-dimensional reductions in detail.     

Remarks on Complete Spacelike Hyper-surfaces with Constant Mean Curvature in the de Sitter Space

Let M be an n(≥3)-dimensional completely non-compact spacelike hypersurface in the de Sitter space S1 (n+1) (1) with constant mean curvature and non negative sectional curvature. It is proved that M is isometric to a hyperbolic cylinder or an Euclidean space if H ≥1. When 2(n-1)~(1.2)/n < H < 1, there exists a complete rotation hypersurfaces which is not a hyperbolic cylinder.

A Characterization of Quadric Constant Mean Curvature Hypersurfaces of Spheres

Let be an immersion of a complete n-dimensional oriented manifold. For any v∈ℝ ⁿ⁺², let us denote by ℓ _v :M→ℝ the function given by ℓ _v (x)=〈φ(x),v〉 and by f _v :M→ℝ, the function given by f _v (x)=〈ν(x),v〉, where is a Gauss map. We will prove that if M has constant mean curvature, and, for some v≠0 and some real number λ, we have that ℓ _v =λ f _v , then, φ(M) is either a totally umbilical sphere or a Clifford hypersurface. As an application, we will use this result to prove that the weak stability index of any compact constant mean curvature hypersurface M ⁿ in which is neither totally umbilical nor a Clifford hypersurface and has constant scalar curvature is greater than or equal to 2n+4. Complete Hypersurfaces with Constant Mean Curvature and Finite Total Curvature

The main result of this paper states that the traceless second fundamental tensor A⁰ of an n-dimensional complete hypersurface M, with constant mean curvature H and finite total curvature, _M |A⁰|ⁿ dv_M < , in a simply-connected space form (c), with non-positive curvature c, goes to zero uniformly at infinity. Several corollaries of this result are considered: any such hypersurface has finite index and, in dimension 2, if H ² + c > 0, any such surface must be compact.
