Generic Banach spaces and generic simplexes

We give a systematic study of certain class of generic Banach spaces. We show that they distinguish between an array of different properties related to smoothness of equivalent norms such as for example the Mazur intersection property or the existence of convex sets supported by all of their points. We also examine the dual constructions of generic Choquet simplexes with extra requirements such as for example those of Poulsen and Bauer asking that the set of extremal points is dense or closed, respectively.

广义度量方程的改进及其应用(I)

众所周知, 度量方程作为距离几何的基本内容和工具之一,在几何约束求解中扮演着主要的角色.改进了杨定华关于$n$维欧氏空间中两个等数量有限基本元素构成集合的广义度量方程, 建立了更为一般意义的、应用方便的广义度量方程,作为其初步应用,导出了两个单形之间的一些有趣的矩阵恒等式关系.特别地,将其两边取行列式,可以简洁得到关于联系两个单形的几何恒等式.

建立了涉及两个单形顶点间距离的一类几何不等式.作为其应用,获得了三角形中R.R.Janic不等式的高维推广.     

Inequalities for Edge Lengths and Volumes of Two Simplexes

In this paper, a class of geometric inequalities for the edge lengths and volumes of two n-dimensional simplexes are established. As a corollary, a generalization to several dimensions of the Neuberg–Pedoe inequality is given.     

E^n空间中Finsler—Hadwiger不等式的k维对偶式

本文首先给出一个代数不等式,其次利用它获得了ｎ维欧氏空间Ｅ＾ｎ中联系任意ｍ个单形的ｋ维与ｎ维体积的一个几何不等式,作为其特殊情况得到了Ｆｉｎｓｌｅｒ－Ｈａｄｗｉｇｅｒ不等式在Ｅ＾ｎ中的Ｋ维对偶式。

Monostatic Simplexes III

A polytope is said to be monostatic if its center of mass is above only one facet. We show that no monostatic simplex exists in eight or fewer dimensions, and there is no monostatic simplex in ten dimensions that falls sequentially onto all its facets. We also consider simplexes with mass concentrated in skeleta of uniform density.     

Faces of simplexes of invariant measures

This paper is a direct continuation of [D2]. The main result proved here, combined with Theorem 1 of [D2] widens the variety of known possibilities of what the simplex of invariant measures in a minimal topological dynamical system can be. We show that it can be equivalent, modulo affine homeomorphism of Choquet simplexes and modulo isomorphisms of the ergodic measures playing the role of the extreme points, to any face of the simplex of invariant measures of any zero-dimensional topological dynamical system, as long as this face contains no periodic measures. In particular, this implies that any formal simplex spanned by any choice of countably many nonperiodic ergodic measures can be realized in a minimal system.
