Reactions of alkynelsufenamides with olefins (such as cyclohexene, norbornene, 1-hexene, 1-octene, allylbenzene, and styrene) in the presence of phosphoryl halides (POCl3, POBr3) afforded 70–95% of β-halo-substituted alkyl alkynyl sulfides. The reactions with cyclohexene and norbornene are characterized by trans stereoselectivity. Lauryl peroxide initiated radical copolymerization of 1,1,3-trihydroperfluoropropyl methacrylate and 1,1,5-trihydroperfluoroamyl methacrylate with methyl methacrylate was studied. The kinetic parameters of copolymerization for these systems were determined at low degrees of conversion. The electrochemical behavior and spectral properties of a series of symmetrical 2,3,9,10,16,17,23,24,2’,3’,9’, 10’,16’,17’,23’,24’-hexadecaalkyl-substituted lanthanide complexes (R8Pc)2Ln (R = H, Me, Et, Bun; Ln = Eu, Dy, Lu) were studied. Regularities of changing the parameters under study were established, depending on the nature of lanthanide and substituents in the phthalocyanine macroligands. The position of the intervalence band of the complexes in the near-IR region depends on the effective distance between the macroligands and also on the electronic effect of the substituents. Electrodes modified with poly(arylene phthalide ketones) were developed for the voltammetric determination of isomers of aromatic nitro compounds. A polynomial algorithm for processing analytical signals from a sensor array was tested in the analysis of ternary mixtures. The oxidation of methyl phenyl sulfide in water and water-alcohol mixtures takes place both by a noncatalytic mechanism and with the participation of hydrogen peroxide as catalyst; in the presence of ammonium hydrocarbonate it takes place by a mechanism involving HCO 4 as a more active oxidant than hydrogen peroxide (>100 times). In water-alcohol media (ethylene glycol, isopropyl alcohol, tert-butanol) the rate decreases in the order H2O > EG > IPA > TBA. The reactivity of organic sulfides varies in the following way: MeSPh ≈ EtSPh << Et2S. Aspects of the sensitive and selective determination of borates and sulfides were considered. A method was proposed for substantially increasing the sensitivity of the ion-chromatographic determination of weak acids by their conversion into corresponding salts on an auxiliary column with a cation exchanger in the K form.
