[CuBr(2)(pMA)(2)] and [CuBr(2)(mMA)(2)] complexes (pMA: p-methylaniline, mMA: m-methylaniline) have been prepared and characterized by elemental analyses, thermogravimetric analyses, magnetic moment measurements, and IR, Raman and EPR spectroscopic studies. Coordination effects on the vibrational spectra of the ligands have been investigated. The room temperature EPR spectra of the complexes and their simulated spectra are also discussed in detail. The vibrational and EPR spectral studies suggest that the coordination sphere around Cu(II) consist of a distorted tetragonal structure.  相似文献

A series of new mixed ligand complexes of Zn(II), Cd(II), and Hg(II) with cis-3,7-dimethyl-2,6-octadienthiosemicarbazone (CDOTSC; LH) and N-phthaloyl amino acids (AH) have been synthesized by the reaction of metal dichloride with ligands CDOTSC and N-phthaloyl derivative of DL-glycine (A1H), L-alanine (A2H), or L-valine (A3H) in a 1:1:1 molar ratio in dry refluxing ethanol. All the isolated complexes have the general composition [M(L)(A)]. The plausible structure of these newly synthesized complexes has been proposed on the basis of elemental analyses, molar conductances, molecular weight measurement, and various spectral (IR, 1H NMR, and 13C NMR) studies, and four coordinated geometries have been assigned to these complexes. All the complexes and ligands have been screened for their antibacterial activity.  相似文献

The, nitrin, 2-aminobenzaldehyde phenylhydrazone (2ABPH) was synthesis by refluxing 2-nitrobenzaldehyde with phenylhydrazine in ethanolic solvent. Three transition metal (II) complexes of 2ABPH have been prepared. Elemental analysis, molar conductivity, IR, UV, 1H NMR, and mass spectra, as well as TG/DTG have been used to characterize these complexes. The complexes have the general formula [M(2ABPH)2]Cl2.nH2O, where M=Zn, Cd, and Hg and n=4, 2 and 0 for Zn(II), Cd(II) and Hg(II), respectively. The ligand and its complexes have been studied for their possible biological activity including antibacterial and antifungal activity.  相似文献

Novel hexachlorocyclodiphosph(V)azane of sulfaguanidine, H(4)L, l,3-[N'-amidino-sulfanilamide]-2,2,2,4,4,4-hexachlorocyclodiphosph(V)azane was prepared and its coordination behaviour towards the transition metal ions Fe(III), Fe(II), Co(II), Ni(II), Cu(II), Zn(II), Cd(II) and UO(2)(II) was studied. The structures of the isolated products are proposed based on elemental analyses, IR, UV-vis, (1)H NMR, mass spectra, reflectance, magnetic susceptibility measurements and thermogravimetric analysis (TGA). The hyperfine interactions in the isolated complex compounds were studied using 14.4keV gamma-ray from radioactive (57)Co (M?ssbauer spectroscopy). The data show that the ligand are coordinated to the metal ions via the sulfonamide O and deprotonated NH atoms in an octahedral manner. The H(4)L ligand forms complexes of the general formulae [(MX(z))(2)(H(2)L)H(2)O)(n)] and [(FeSO(4))(2) (H(4)L) (H(2)O)(4)], where X=NO(3) in case of UO(2)(II) and Cl in case of Fe(III), Co(II), Ni(II), Cu(II), Zn(II) and Cd(II). The molar conductance data show that the complexes are non-electrolytes. The thermal behaviour of the complexes was studied and different thermodynamic parameters were calculated using Coats-Redfern method. Most of the prepared complexes showed high bactericidal activity and some of the complexes show more activity compared with the ligand and standards.  相似文献

Three multinuclear Cu (II), Zn (II) and Cd (II) complexes, [Cu2(L)(μ‐OAc)]·CHCl2 ( 1 ), [Zn2(L)(μ‐OAc)(H2O)]·3CHCl3 ( 2 ) and [{Cd2(L)(OAc)(CH3CH2OH)}2]·2CH3CH2OH ( 3 ) with a single‐armed salamo‐like dioxime ligand H3L have been synthesized, and characterized by FT‐IR, UV–vis, X‐ray crystallography and Hirshfeld surfaces analyses. The ligand H3L has a linear structure and C‐H···π interactions between the two molecules. The complex 1 is a dinuclear Cu (II) complex, Cu1 and Cu2 are all five‐coordinate possessing distorted square pyramidal geometries. The complex 2 also forms a dinuclear Zn (II) structure, and Zn1 and Zn2 are all five‐coordinate bearing distorted trigonal bipyramidal geometries. The complex 3 is a symmetrical tetranuclear Cd (II) complex, and Cd1 is a hexa‐coordinate having octahedral configuration and Cd2 is hepta‐coordinate with a pentagonal bipyramidal geometry, and it has π···π interactions inside the molecule. In addition, fluorescence properties of the ligand and its complexes 1 – 3 have also been discussed.  相似文献

The coordination characteristic of the investigated thiosemicarbazones towards hazard pollutants, Cd(II) and Hg(II), becomes the first goal. Their complexes have been studied by microanalysis, thermal, electrochemical and spectral (electronic, IR and MS) studies. The substitutent (salicylaldehyde, acetophenone, benzophenone, o-hydroxy-p-methoxybenzophenone or diacetylmonoxime) plays an important role in the complex formation. The coordination sites were the S for thiosemicarbazide (HTS); NN for benzophenone thiosemicarbazone (HBTS); NS for acetophenone thiosemicarbazone (HATS) and salicylaldehyde thiosemicarbazone (H(2)STS); NNS or NSO for diacetylmonoxime thiosemicarbazone (H(2)DMTS). The stability constants of Hg(II) complexes were higher than Cd(II). The kinetic and thermodynamic parameters for the different thermal decomposition steps in the complexes have been evaluated. The activation energy values of the first step ordered the complexes as: [Cd(H(2)STS)Cl(2)]H(2)O>[Cd(H(2)DAMTS)Cl(2)]>[Cd(HBTS)(2)Cl(2)]2H(2)O>[Cd(HATS)(2)Cl(2)]. The CV of [Cd(H(2)STS)Cl(2)]H(2)O and [Hg(HBTS)Cl(2)] were recorded. The use of H(2)DMTS as a new reagent for the separation and determination of Cd(II) ions from water and some synthetic samples using flotation technique is aimed to be discussed.  相似文献

The synthesis and characterisation of complexes of the hexaamine cage ligand facial-1,5,9,13,20-pentamethyl-3,7,11,15,18,22-hexaazabicyclo[7.7.7]tricosane (fac-(Me)(5)-D(3 h)tricosaneN(6)) with Zn(II), Cd(II) and Hg(II) is reported. Single crystal X-ray structural analyses of the Cd(II) and Hg(II) complexes reveal that the coordination spheres of both cations have an unusual trigonal prismatic stereochemistry organised by the ligand substituents and cavity size. This is unprecedented for hexaamine complexes of these metal ions, and in stark contrast to the distorted octahedral stereochemistry found previously for the analogous Zn(II) complex. An X-ray structural analysis of single crystals of the diprotonated ligand [fac-(Me)(5)-D(3h)tricosaneN(6) - 2H](CF(3)SO(3))(2) shows that it also prefers to adopt a trigonal prismatic structure. The (13)C NMR spectra of the metal complexes indicate that their structures are preserved at 20 degrees C in solution. However, heating the Zn(II) complex to approximately 130 degrees C appears to convert it to the trigonal prismatic form. In contrast cooling the trigonal prismatic Hg(II) complex to -80 degrees C does not convert it to the octahedral structure. The results are also compared to the structures of various other transition metal ion complexes of the same or similar ligands. This comparison yields overall an appreciation of the factors that determine the final structures of complexes formed with such tricosaneN(6) ligands.  相似文献

A series of Zn(II), Cd(II), Co(II), Co(III) and Mn(III) complexes with the Schiff base [(CH3)2NCH2CH2N=CHC6H3(OH)(OMe)], LH, derived from 2-dimethylaminoethylamine and o-vanillin, has been synthesised and structures of all the products have been established by X-ray crystallography. In the cases of zinc and cadmium, dimeric complexes [Zn(LH)2(NCS)] [Zn2(L)(mu(1,1)-CH3COO)(NCS)3] (1), [Cd2(L)2(Cl)2] (2) and [Cd2(L)2(NCS)2] (3), and for cobalt and manganese, monomeric complexes [Co(LH)2(NCS)]2 [Co(NCS)4] (4), [Co(LH)2(NCS)]ClO4 (5), [Co(L)(N3)(o-vanillinate)] x 0.5 MeOH (6) and [Mn(LH)2(MeOH)2](ClO4)3 (7), are formed with various terminal ligands. All the complexes have been characterised by elemental analysis and IR spectra. UV-Vis and NMR spectroscopy, magnetic, and electrochemical studies, were also carried out where feasible. The Schiff base functions as a bi-, tri- or tetra-dentate chelating agent and coordinates via the protonated or deprotonated phenolic oxygen, amine and imine nitrogens, and only in case of 1 with the methoxy oxygen atoms, to the metal ion leading to the formation of mono- or bi-metallic complexes.  相似文献

Fe(III), Co(II), Ni(II), Cu(II), Zn(II) and UO(2)(II) complexes with the ligand 2-tert-butylaminomethylpyridine-6-carboxylic acid methylester (HL(2)) have been prepared and characterized by elemental analyses, molar conductance, magnetic moment, thermal analysis and spectral data. 1:1 M:HL(2) complexes, with the general formula [M(HL(2))X(2)].nH(2)O (where M = Co(II) (X = Cl, n = 0), Ni(II) (X = Cl, n = 3), Cu(II) (grey colour, X = AcO, n = 1), Cu(II) (yellow colour, X = Cl, n = 0) and Zn(II) (X = Br, n = 0). In addition, the Fe(III) and UO(2)(II) complexes of the type 1:2 M:HL(2) and with the formulae [Fe(L(2))(2)]Cl and [UO(2)(HL(2))(2)](NO(3))(2) are prepared. From the IR data, it is seen that HL(2) ligand behaves as a terdentate ligand coordinated to the metal ions via the pyridyl N, carboxylate O and protonated NH group; except the Fe(III) complex, it coordinates via the deprotonated NH group. This is supported by the molar conductance data, which show that all the complexes are non-electrolytes, while the Fe(III) and UO(2)(II) complexes are 1:1 electrolytes. IR and H1-NMR spectral studies suggest a similar behaviour of the Zn(II) complex in solid and solution states. From the solid reflectance spectral data and magnetic moment measurements, the complexes have a trigonal bipyramidal (Co(II), Ni(II), Cu(II) and Zn(II) complexes) and octahedral (Fe(III), UO(2)(II) complexes) geometrical structures. The thermal behaviour of the complexes is studied and the different dynamic parameters are calculated applying Coats-Redfern equation.  相似文献

The coordination chemistry of the new pyridine-based, N2S2-donating 12-membered macrocycle 2,8-dithia-5-aza-2,6-pyridinophane (L1) towards Cu(II), Zn(II), Cd(II), Hg(II), and Pb(II) has been investigated both in aqueous solution and in the solid state. The protonation constants for L1 and stability constants with the aforementioned metal ions have been determined potentiometrically and compared with those of ligand L2, which contains a N-aminopropyl side arm. The measured values show that Hg(II) in water has the highest affinity for both ligands followed by Cu(II), Cd(II), Pb(II), and Zn(II). For each metal ion considered, 1:1 complexes with L1 have also been isolated in the solid state, those of Cu(II) and Zn(II) having also been characterised by X-ray crystallography. In both complexes L1 adopts a folded conformation and the coordination environments around the two metal centres are very similar: four positions of a distorted octahedral coordination sphere are occupied by the donor atoms of the macrocyclic ligand, and the two mutually cis-positions unoccupied by L1 accommodate monodentate NO3- ligands. The macrocycle L1 has then been functionalised with different fluorogenic subunits. In particular, the N-dansylamidopropyl (L3), N-(9-anthracenyl)methyl (L4), and N-(8-hydroxy-2-quinolinyl)methyl (L5) pendant arm derivatives of L1 have been synthesised and their optical response to the above mentioned metal ions investigated in MeCN/H2O (4:1 v/v) solutions.  相似文献

The mononuclear complexes of Zn(II), Cd(II) and Hg(II), [Zn(phen-dione)Cl2], [Cd(phen-dione)Cl2] and [Hg(phen-dione)Cl2], where phen-dione?=?1,10-phenanthroline-5,6-dione, have been synthesized and characterized by elemental analysis and IR, 1H?NMR and electronic absorption spectroscopies. The ν(C=O) of coordinated phen-dione ligands in these complexes shows that the phen-dione is not coordinated to metal ion from its C=O sites. Electronic spectra of the complexes show two absorption bands for intraligand transitions. These absorption bands show dependence on the dielectric constant of solvents. These complexes exhibit an intense fluorescence band around 545?nm in DMSO when the excitation wavelengths are 200?nm at room temperature.  相似文献

Three multinuclear complexes, [Co(L)(OAc)Co(CH3CH2OH)2]·H2O, [Zn(L)(OAc)Zn(CH3OH)], and [{Cd(L)(OAc)Cd(CH3OH)}2], containing a single-armed salamo-type bisoxime H3L have been synthesized and characterized structurally. The Co(II) complex forms a dimeric unit by intermolecular hydrogen bond interactions of neighboring dimeric molecules. The Zn(II) complex also forms a dimeric unit by intermolecular hydrogen bond interactions. Interesting features of the crystal structure include O?O short contacts. Meanwhile, self-assembling infinite 1-D, 2-D, and 3-D supramolecular structures are formed by intermolecular hydrogen bond and C–H?π interactions. The Cd(II) complex forms an infinite 2-D supramolecular structure by intermolecular hydrogen bond interactions. The photophysical properties of the Co(II), Zn(II), and Cd(II) complexes have also been discussed.  相似文献

Five new Zn(II)/Cd(II) coordination polymers constructed from di(1H-imidazol-1-yl)methane (L) mixed with different auxiliary carboxylic acid ligands formulated as [Zn(L)(H(2)L(1))(2)·(H(2)O)(0.2)](n) (1), {[Zn(L)(L(2))]·H(2)O}(n) (2), {[Cd(2)(L)(2)(L(2))(2)]·2H(2)O}(n) (3), {[Cd(L)(L(3))]·H(2)O}(n) (4) and [Cd(L)(L(4))](n) (5) (H(3)L(1) = 1,3,5-benzenetricarboxylic acid, H(2)L(2) = 4,4'-oxybis(benzoic acid), H(2)L(3) = m-phthalic acid and H(2)L(4) = p-phthalic acid) have been synthesized under hydrothermal conditions and structurally characterized. Four related auxiliary carboxylic acids were chosen to examine the influences on the construction of these coordination frameworks with distinct dimensionality and connectivity. The coordination arrays of 1-5 vary from 1D zigzag chain for 1, 2D (4,4) layer for 2-4, to 2-fold interpenetrated 3D coordination network with the α-Po topology for 5. The thermal and photoluminescence properties of complexes 1-5 in the solid state have also been investigated.  相似文献

A series of complexes of the type [M(L)(dppe)X2]; where M=Zn(II) or Cd(II); L=4-(2'-thiazolylazo)chlorobenzene (L1), 4-(2'-thiazolylazo)bromobenzene (L2) and 4-(2'-thiazolylazo) iodobenzene (L3); dppe=1,2-bis(diphenylphosphino)ethane; X=N3- or NCS- have been prepared and characterized on the basis of their microanalysis, molar conductance, thermal, IR, UV-vis and 1H NMR spectral studies. IR spectra show that the ligand L is coordinated to the metal atom in bidentate manner via azo nitrogen and thiazole nitrogen. An octahedral structure is proposed for all the complexes. The thermal behavior of the complexes revealed that the thiocyanato complexes are thermally more stable than the azido complexes. All the complexes exhibit blue-green emission with high quantum yield as the result of the fluorescence from the intraligand emission excited state.  相似文献

The following zinc(II), cadmium(II) and mercury(II) complexes of 4,6-dimethylpyrimidine-2(1H)-one (L) have been prepared and investigated by conductometric,IR and Raman methods: MX2L2 (M = Zn, X = Cl, Br(CHCl3, I(CHCl3, CF3COO; M = Cd, X = Cl, Br CF3COO; M = Hg, X = Cl, CF3COO), Cd2I4L3, Hg3X6L2 (X = Cl, Br), Hg3X6L4(X = Br, I), MX2L4·6H2O (M = Zn, Cd, X = CIO4, BF4; M = Hg, X = CIO4. The ligand is principally bonded through the unprotonated nitrogen atom and in some complexes also through the carbonylic oxygen atom. The zinc halide complexes are tetrahedrally coordinated, the trifluoroacetate ion is coordinated as a monodentate ligand.  相似文献

Schiff base tetraazamacrocyclic ligand, L (C(40)H(28)N(4)) and its complexes of types, [MLX(2)] and [CuL]X(2) (M=Co(II), Ni(II), Zn(II); X=Cl(-), NO(3)(-)) were synthesized and characterized by elemental analyses, mass, (1)H NMR, IR, UV-vis, magnetic susceptibility and molar conductance data. An octahedral geometry has been proposed for all the complexes except the copper(II) complexes which have a square planar environment. The reducing power of the Co(II) and Cu(II) complexes have been checked and compared. The ligand (L) and its complexes have also been screened against different fungi and bacteria in vitro.  相似文献

New metal complexes of Fe(III), Co(II), Ni(II), Cu(II), Zn(II) and Cd(II) with salicylidine-2-aminobenzimidazole (SABI) are synthesized and their physicochemical properties are investigated using elemental and thermal analyses, IR, conductometric, solid reflectance and magnetic susceptibility measurements. The base reacts with these metal ions to give 1:1 (Metal:SABI) complexes; in cases of Fe(III), Co(II), Cu(II), Zn(II) and Cd(II) ions; and 1:2 (Metal:SABI) complexes; in case of Ni(II) ion. The conductance data reveal that Fe(III) complex is 2:1 electrolyte, Co(II) is 1:2 electrolyte, Cu(II), Zn(II) and Cd(II) complexes are 1:1 electrolytes while Ni(II) is non-electrolyte. IR spectra showed that the ligand is coordinated to the metal ions in a terdentate mannar with O, N, N donor sites of the phenloic -OH, azomethine -N and benzimidazole -N3. Magnetic and solid reflectance spectra are used to infer the coordinating capacity of the ligand and the geometrical structure of these complexes. The thermal decomposition of the complexes is studied and indicates that not only the coordinated and/or crystallization water is lost but also that the decomposition of the ligand from the complexes is necessary to interpret the successive mass loss. Different thermodynamic activation parameters are also reported, using Coats-Redfern method. This revised version was published online in July 2006 with corrections to the Cover Date.  相似文献

The formation of complexes of Zn(II), Cd(II), Hg(II), and Pb(II) and N-carboxymethyl-D,L-threonine (H2CMT, H2L) in aqueous solutions has been studied by spectrophotometric and potentiometric methods. The complexation model for each system has been established by the HYPERQUAD program from the potentiometric data. Three different behaviors are found: ML2H, MLH, ML, MLOH, and ML2 complexes are formed by Zn(II) and Cd(II) ions, ML2H, ML, MLOH, and ML2 are formed by Hg(II) ion, and only 1/1 complexes MLH, ML, and MLOH are formed by the Pb(II) ion. The formation constants determined for all these complexes allow simulation of experimental titration curves with good agreement. The speciation of multimetal systems with H2CMT shows that this compound is a good and selective ligand at low pH for the Hg(II) ion.  相似文献

A series of Mn(II), Co(II), Ni(II), Cu(II) and Zn(II) complexes of azo-compounds containing hydroxyl quinoline moiety have been synthesized and characterized by elemental analysis, molar conductance, magnetic moments, IR, electronic and ESR spectral studies. The results revealed the formation of 1:1 and 1:2 (L:M) complexes. The molar conductance data reveal that the chelates are nonelectrolyte. IR spectra indicate that the azodyes behave as monobasic bidentate or dibasic tetradentate ligands through phenolate or carboxy oxygen, azo N for 1:1 (L:M) complexes beside phenolate oxygen and quinoline N atoms for 1:2 (L:M) complexes. The thermal analyses (TG and DTA) as well as the solid electrical conductivity measurements are also studied. The molecular parameters of the ligands and their metal complexes have been calculated.  相似文献

Schiff base namely 2-aminomethylthiophenyl-4-bromosalicylaldehyde (ATS)(4-bromo-2-(thiophen-2-yl-imino)methylphenol) and its metal complexes have been synthesized and characterized by elemental analyses, IR, 1H NMR, solid reflectance, magnetic moment, molar conductance, mass spectra, ESR and thermal analysis (TGA). The analytical data of the complexes show the formation of 1:2 [M:L] ratio of the formula [ML2], where M represents Ni(II), Zn(II) and Cu(II) ions, while L represents the deprotonated Schiff base. IR spectra show that ATS is coordinated to the metal ions in a bidentate manner through azomethine-N and phenolic-oxygen groups. The ligand and their metal chelates have been screened for their antimicrobial activities using the disc diffusion method against the selected bacteria. A cytotoxicity of the compounds against colon (HCT116) and larynx (HEP2) cancer cells have been studied. Protonation constants of (ATS) ligand and stability constants of its Cu2+, Co2+, Mn2+, Zn2+ and Ni2+ complexes were determined by potentiometric titration method in 50% (v/v) DMSO-water solution at ionic strength of 0.1 M NaNO3.  相似文献
