Permanent modifiers (V, Ir, Ru, V-Ir, V-Ru, and W-V) thermally coated on to platforms of pyrolytic graphite tubes were employed for the determination of Cd, Pb, and Zn in botanic and biological slurries by electrothermal atomic absorption spectrometry (ETAAS). Conventional Pd + Mg(NO3)2 modifier mixture was also used for the determination of analytes in slurries and digested samples. Optimum masses and mass ratios of permanent modifiers for Cd, Pb, and Zn in slurry sample solutions were investigated. The 280 μg of V, 280 μg of V + 200 μg of Ir, 280 μg of V + 200 μg of Ru or 240 μg of W + 280 μg of V in 0.2% (v/v) Triton X-100 plus 0.5% (v/v) HNO3 mixture was found as efficient as 5 μg of Pd + 3 μg of Mg(NO3)2 modifier mixture for obtaining thermal stabilization, and for obtaining best recoveries. Optimization conditions of analytes, such as pyrolysis and atomization temperature, characteristic masses and detection limits, and atomization and background peak profiles were studied with permanent and 5 μg of Pd + 3 μg of Mg(NO3)2 conventional modifiers and compared with each other. The permanent V-Ir, V-Ru, and W-V modifiers remained stable for approximately 250-300 firings when 20 μl of slurries and digested samples were delivered into the atomizer. In addition, the mixed permanent modifiers increase the tube lifetime by 50-95% when compared with untreated platforms. The characteristic masses and detection limits of analytes (dilution factor of 125 ml g−1) obtained with V-Ir based on integrated absorbance as example for 0.8% (m/v) slurries were 1.0 pg and 3 ng g−1 for Cd, 18 pg and 17 ng g−1 for Pb, and 0.7 pg and 4 ng g−1 for Zn, respectively. The results of analytes obtained by employing V-Ir, V-Ru, and W-V permanent modifier mixtures in botanic and biological certified and standard reference materials were in agreement with the certified values of reference materials.  相似文献

Molybdenum, Ir, Ru, Mo-Ir, Mo-Ru thermally coated on to platforms inserted in pyrolytic graphite tubes as permanent modifiers and Pd + Mg(NO3)2 conventional modifier mixture have been employed for the determination of cadmium and lead in dissolved sediments and soil samples by electrothermal atomic absorption spectrometry (ETAAS). Optimum masses and mass ratios of permanent modifiers for the analysis of Cd and Pb in sample solutions have been investigated. The 280 μg of Mo, 200 μg of Ir, 200 μg of Ru, 280 μg of Mo + 200 μg of Ir or 280 μg of Mo + 200 μg of Ru has been found as efficient as 5 μg of Pd + 3 μg of Mg(NO3)2 for increasing thermal stabilization of analytes and for decreasing the most serious interferences. Pyrolysis and atomization temperatures, atomization and background signal shapes, characteristic masses and detection limits of analytes in dissolved samples with or without permanent and conventional modifiers have been compared. The detection limits and characteristic masses obtained with Mo-Ir coated platform are 0.01 μg g−1 and 1.1 pg for Cd and 0.09 μg g−1 and 19 pg for Pb, respectively. Long-term stabilities for analytes in samples with Mo, Mo-Ir, Mo-Ru and Pd + Mg(NO3)2 have been studied. Cadmium and lead contents have been determined in certified and standard reference materials by using optimum conditions investigated and the results obtained with Mo-Ir or Mo-Ru were in agreement with the values of certified reference materials.  相似文献

Determination of selenium by electrothermal atomic absorption spectrometry (ETAAS) is complicated by the presence of different species of this analyte. The presence of different oxidation states (−II, IV and VI) may result in different sensitivities obtained for each species rendering impossible the use of a single species for calibration. These species also exhibit different behaviours regarding thermal stabilities; the temperature program must be provided to conform to this problem. Chemical modifiers are commonly used for thermal stabilization of selenium species. In this study, experiments were carried out to demonstrate the effect of nitric acid in the presence of chemical modifiers. Nickel and palladium + magnesium were selected as the most commonly used chemical modifiers. Using both aqueous and human serum solutions it has been demonstrated that although chemical modifiers provide thermal stabilization of species so that higher ashing temperatures can be used, equal sensitivities cannot be achieved unless nitric acid is also present. Selenite, selenate, selenomethionine and selenocystine were used in experiments. When equal sensitivities for all these species are achieved, determination of total selenium by ETAAS can be performed by using a single species as the standard; selenite was used in this study. Precision was 5.0% or better using peak height signals. There was no significant difference in detection limits (3s) when Ni or Pd + Mg(NO3)2 was used as chemical modifier; 37 and 35 pg of selenium were found to be the detection limits for Ni and Pd + Mg(NO3)2 chemical modifiers, respectively. For chemical modifications, either 5 μg of Ni or 0.5 μg of Pd and 5 μg of Mg(NO3)2 were used; final solutions contained 2.5% HNO3. In serum analyses, 10 μg of Ni was used in presence of 2.5% HNO3.  相似文献

A method has been developed for the direct simultaneous determination of Cd and Pb in white and red wine by electrothermal atomic absorption spectrometry (ET-AAS) using a transversely heated graphite tube atomizer (THGA) with longitudinal Zeeman-effect background correction. The thermal behavior of both analytes during pyrolysis and atomization stages were investigated in 0.028 mol l−1 HNO3 and in 1+1 v/v diluted wine using mixtures of Pd(NO3)2+Mg(NO3)2 and NH4H2PO4+Mg(NO3)2 as chemical modifiers. With 5 μg Pd+3 μg Mg as the modifiers and a two-step pyrolysis (10 s at 400°C and 10 s at 600°C), the formation of carbonaceous residues inside the atomizer was avoided. For 20 μl of sample (wine+0.056 mol l−1 HNO3, 1+1, v/v) dispensed into the graphite tube, analytical curves in the 0.10–1.0 μg l−1 Cd and 5.0–50 μg l−1 Pb ranges were established. The characteristic mass was approximately 0.6 pg for Cd and 33 pg for Pb, and the lifetime of the tube was approximately 400 firings. The limits of detection (LOD) based on integrated absorbance (0.03 μg l−1 for Cd, 0.8 μg l−1 for Pb) exceeded the requirements of Brazilian Food Regulations (decree #55871 from Health Department), which establish the maximum permissible level for Cd at 200 μg l−1 and for Pb at 500 μg l−1. The relative standard deviations (n=12) were typically <8% for Cd and <6% for Pb. The recoveries of Cd and Pb added to wine samples varied from 88 to 107% and 93 to 103%, respectively. The accuracy of the direct determination of Cd and Pb was checked for 10 table wines by comparing the results with those obtained for digested wine using single-element ET-AAS, which were in agreement at the 95% confidence level.  相似文献

Metalfix Chelamine chelating resins of two different bead sizes (150-300 and 40-80 μm) were examined and compared regarding their application for sorption of Au, Ir, Pd, Pt, Rh and Ru ions from medium of HCl, HNO3 and mixtures of HCl and HNO3. The quantitative enrichment of Au, Ir, Pd and Pt was established for the resin of 150-300 μm particle size and for solutions acidified with HCl and HNO3 (3:1) up to the concentration of 0.50 mol l−1. In the case of Rh and Ru, the uptake of these metals by the resin was lower than 50%. For the elution, solutions of different reagents, i.e. HCl, HNO3, KCN, KI, KSCN and (NH2)2CS, were studied with respect to the complete release of the analytes retained by the resin. In addition, influence of various base metals, i.e. Al, Cd, Co, Cr, Cu, Fe, Mn, Ni, Pb and Zn, on the retention of the noble metals was investigated. Under the selected conditions for the retention and elution of Au, Ir, Pd and Pt, the analytical performance of the proposed pre-concentration procedure was evaluated and it was applied to the determination of these noble metals in anodic sludge sample.  相似文献

The effects of palladium precursors (PdCl2, (NH4)2PdCl4, Pd(NH3)2Cl2, Pd(NO3)2 and Pd(CH3COO)2) on the catalytic properties in the selective oxidation of ethylene to acetic acid have been investigated for 1.0 wt% Pd–30 wt% H4SiW12O40/SiO2. The structures of the catalysts were characterized using X-ray diffraction, N2 adsorption, H2-pulse chemical adsorption, infrared spectrometry of the adsorbed pyridine, H2 temperature-programmed reduction and X-ray photoelectron spectroscopy. The present study demonstrates that the different palladium precursors can lead to the significant changes in the dispersion of palladium. It is found that Pd dispersion decreases as follows: PdCl2 > (NH4)2PdCl4 > Pd(NO3)2 > Pd(NH3)2Cl2 > Pd(C2H3O2)2, which is nearly identical to the catalytic activity. This indicates that the dispersion of palladium plays an important role in the catalytic activity. Furthermore, density of Lewis (L) and Brönsted (B) acid sites are also strongly dependent on the palladium precursors. It is also demonstrated that an effective catalyst should possess a well combination of Brönsted acid sites with dispersion of palladium.  相似文献

The mixed lead nitrate oxalate, Pb2(NO3)2(C2O4).2H2O, has been obtained in a polycrystalline form in the course of a study on precursors of nanocrystalline PZT-type oxides. Its crystal structure has been solved from powder diffraction data collected using a monochromatic radiation from a conventional X-ray source. The symmetry is monoclinic, space group P21/c (No. 14), the cell dimensions are a=10.623(2) Å, b=7.9559(9) Å, c=6.1932(5) Å, β=104.49(1)° and Z=4. The structure consists of a stacking of complex double sheets parallel to (1 0 0), forming layers held together by hydrogen bonds. The sheets result from the condensation of PbO10 polyhedra, in which the oxalate and nitrate groups, as well as water molecules, play a major role. The structure is discussed in terms of Pb---O distances, polyhedra shape and lead coordination, with emphasis on the dimensional polymerisation role of water molecules. The thermal behaviour of this layered compound is carefully described from temperature-dependent powder diffraction and thermogravimetric measurements. The enthalpy, ΔrH=232(3) kJ mol−1, and entropy, ΔrS=532(8) J K−1 mol−1, of the dehydration reaction have been determined. The high value of ΔrH demonstrates that the water molecules are strongly bonded in the structure. The complex decomposition proceeds through the crystallisation and decomposition of Pb(NO3)2(C2O4) into Pb(NO3)2 and PbC2O4, and, finally, various lead oxides.  相似文献

Electrochemical deposition of PbTe from 50 mM Pb(NO3)2 + 1 mM TeO2 + 0.1 M HNO3 solution onto n-Si(1 0 0) wafers was studied using cyclic voltammetry (CV), chronoamperometry, ex situ SEM, XRD and EDX. Electrochemical behavior of n-Si(1 0 0) electrode in electrolytes 50 mM Pb(NO3)2 + 0.1 M HNO3 and 1 mM TeO2 + 0.1 M HNO3 was also studied. No underpotential deposition (UPD) of Pb and Te onto n-Si was observed in the investigated systems indicating weak Pb–Si and Te–Si interactions. Deposition of Pb and Te on n-Si occurred with overvoltage via 3D island growth. Electrosynthesis of PbTe (NaCl-like structure, a = 0.650 nm) takes place due to codeposition of Pb and Te at potentials E > EPb2+/Pb0 (lead UPD onto tellurium). Cathodic deposition of PbTe onto n-Si(1 0 0) is irreversible – there is no anodic current in the CV curve. Oxidation of PbTe on n-Si is observed only under illumination, when photoelectrons and photoholes are generated in silicon substrate.  相似文献

The integral heats of solution of 100% HNO3 at =0.1mole/liter in aqueous solutions of H2SO4 of <90% by wt. were measured. A scheme was proposed and proved for ionization of HNO3 as a base in 82–90% aqueous solutions of H2SO4, according to which un-ionized HNO3 exists in the form of an aqueous solvate H2O-HNO3 and the ionized form as the ion pair NO2 +·HSO4 . The value of the enthalpy of ionization of nitric acid H(NO2 + HSO4 )=H(NO2 +·HSO4 ) drops from 2.05 at 89.99% H2SO4 to 0.18 kcal/mole in 84.07% H2SO4.Translated from Izvestiya Akademii Nauk SSSR, Seriya Khimicheskaya, No. 2, pp. 306–310, February, 1990.  相似文献

Ternary system: H2O–Fe(NO3)3–Co(NO3)2 isotherm: 30 °C. The H2O–Co(NO3)2 binary system has been investigated in the –28 to 50 °C temperature range. The solid–liquid equilibria of the ternary system H2O–Fe(NO3)3–Co(NO3)2 were studied by using a synthetic method based on conductivity measurements. One isotherm is established at 30 °C, and the stable solid phases that appear are iron nitrate nonahydrate: Fe(NO3)3·9 H2O, iron nitrate hexahydrate: Fe(NO3)3·6 H2O, cobalt nitrate hexahydrate: Co(NO3)2·6 H2O, and cobalt nitrate trihydrate: Co(NO3)2·3 H2O. A multi-element graphite furnace atomic absorption spectrometry (GFAAS) method was elaborated and applied for the simultaneous determination of As, Cd, Cr, Cu, and Pb in various kinds of honey samples (acacia, floral, linden, rape, and milkweed) using the transversally heated graphite atomiser (THGA) with end-capped tubes and integrated graphite platforms (IGPs). For comparative GFAAS analysis, direct (without digestion) and indirect (with digestion in a microwave oven) sample preparation procedures were tested. The effects of several chemical modifiers, such as NH4H2PO4, NH4H2PO4-Mg(NO3)2, and Pd(NO3)2-Mg(NO3)2, were studied to obtain optimal pyrolysis and atomization conditions for the set of analytes studied. The most efficient modifier was proved to be the mixture of 5 μg Pd (applied as nitrate) plus 3 μg Mg(NO3)2, allowing the optimal 600 °C pyrolysis and 2300 °C atomization temperatures. To prevent the sputtering and foaming of the matrix during the drying and pyrolysis steps of the furnace heating program, the sample and modifier solutions (20 + 5 μl, respectively) were dispensed together onto the IGP of the THGA pre-heated at 80 °C.The effect of increasing concentration of honey matrix was studied on the integrated absorbance (Aint) signals of analytes. The Aint signals of Cr and Pb were not altered up to 10% (m/v) matrix content in the sample solutions. The matrix effect was slightly suppressive on the Aint signals of As, Cd, and Cu above 2% (m/v) honey concentration. The recovery was found to be ranged between 85 and 115% for Cd, Cr, Cu, and Pb, whereas it was a lower, compromise value of 70-99% for As. The limit of detection (LOD) data were 1, 0.04, 0.09, 0.3, and 0.6 μg l−1 for As, Cd, Cr, Cu, and Pb, respectively, which values correspond to 20, 0.8, 1.8, 5.3, and 12 ng g−1, respectively, in the solid samples. The characteristic masses were found to be 21 pg As, 1.3 pg Cd, 4 pg Cr, 12 pg Cu, and 33 pg Pb. The As, Cd, Cr, Cu, and Pb contents of the studied 42 honey samples varied significantly, i.e. from below the LOD up to 13, 3.3, 109, 445, and 163 ng g−1, respectively.  相似文献

IR spectra of 3 normal solutions of 14 different salts [chlorides of Al+++, Be++, Mg++, Ca++, Sr++, Ba++, Zn++, Cd++, Li+, Na+, K+, Rb+, Cs+, N(CH3) 4 + ] in both, 96% H2O+4% D2O and 100% H2O, were measured in the frequency range =2 800–2 100 cm–1. From up to 18 single measurements for each solution the frequencies and halfwidths of the O-D stretching bands of isotopically dilute HDO were determined with high accuracy. Frequencies in the range =2 510–2 529 cm–1 and halfwidths in the range =155–205 cm–1 resulted atT=30°C with standard deviations typical less than ±1 cm–1 and ±4 cm–1, respectively. An almost perfect correlation between the O-D stretching band parameters and the polarizing power of the cations was obtained.Herrn Prof. Dr.A. Neckel, Wien, zum 60. Geburtstag gewidmet.  相似文献

Palladium complexation in concentrated nitric acid solutions was studied by UV/Vis absorption spectrophotometry. The ionic strength of the solutions was fixed to I = 1, 3, or 5 mol dm−3 (M) by mixing of HNO3 and HClO4. The major palladium species were found to be Pd2+, PdNO3 +, and Pd(NO3)2. The formation constant of PdNO3 + was determined to be β 1 = 1.32 (I = 1 M), 1.49 (I = 3 M), or 1.47 (I = 5 M), while that of Pd(NO3)2 to be β 2 = 0.45 (I = 3 M) or 0.14 (I = 5 M).  相似文献

Bismuth was evaluated as an internal standard for the direct determination of Pb in vinegar by graphite furnace atomic absorption spectrometry using Ru as a permanent modifier with co-injection of Pd/Mg(NO3)2. The correlation coefficient of the graph plotted from the normalized absorbance signals of Bi versus Pb was r = 0.989. Matrix effects were evaluated by analyzing the slope ratios between the analytical curve obtained from reference solutions prepared in 0.2% (v/v) HNO3 and analytical curves obtained from Pb additions in red and white wine vinegar samples. The calculated ratios were around 1.04 and 1.02 for analytical curves established applying an internal standard and 1.3 and 1.5 for analytical curves without. Analytical curves in the 2.5–15 μg L− 1 Pb concentration interval were established using the ratio Pb absorbance to Bi absorbance versus analyte concentration, and typical linear correlations of r = 0.999 were obtained. The proposed method was applied for direct determination of Pb in 18 commercial vinegar samples and the Pb concentration varied from 2.6 to 31 μg L− 1. Results were in agreement at a 95% confidence level (paired t-test) with those obtained for digested samples. Recoveries of Pb added to vinegars varied from 96 to 108% with and from 72 to 86% without an internal standard. Two water standard reference materials diluted in vinegar sample were also analyzed and results were in agreement with certified values at a 95% confidence level. The characteristic mass was 40 pg Pb and the useful lifetime of the tube was around 1600 firings. The limit of detection was 0.3 μg L− 1 and the relative standard deviation was ≤ 3.8% and ≤ 8.3% (n = 12) for a sample containing 10 μg L− 1 Pb with and without internal standard, respectively.  相似文献

Detailed study on identification and thermal decomposition of solid title compounds 1 and 2 crystallized from the used aqueous ammonia solutions of Pd(NH3)2(NO2)2 and Pt(NH3)2(NO2)2, has been carried out. Beyond the composition of complexes 1 and 2, their trans square planar configuration have already been recognized by reference IR spectra and powder XRD patterns, nevertheless their exact molecular and crystal structure as of trans-Pd(NH3)2(NO2)2 (1, Pd-NN) and trans-Pt(NH3)2(NO2)2 (2, Pt-NN) has been determined by single crystal X-ray diffraction (R = 0.0515 and 0.0341), respectively. Despite their compositional and configuration analogy, they crystallize in different crystal systems and space groups. The crystals of 1 (Pd-NN) are triclinic (space group No. 2, P-1, a = 5.003(1) Å, b = 5.419(1) Å, c = 6.317(1) Å, α = 91.34(2)°, β = 111.890(10)°, γ = 100.380(10)°), while those of 2 (Pt-NN) are monoclinic (space group No. 5, C2, a = 7.4235(16) Å, b = 9.130(2) Å, c = 4.4847(10) Å, β = 99.405(7)°).The pyrolytic processes of 1 and 2 (which might be sensitive to shock and heat) have been followed by simultaneous thermogravimetric and differential thermal analysis (TG/DTA), while the evolved gaseous species have been traced in situ by online coupled TG/DTA–EGA–MS and TG–EGA–FTIR instruments in He and air. Pd and Pt powders, forming as final solid products in single step, are captured and checked by TG and XRD. Whilst the unified evolved gas analyses report evolution of N2, H2O, NH3, N2O, NO, and NO2 gases as gaseous product components in the exothermic decomposition of both trans-Pd(NH3)2(NO2)2 (1) and trans-Pt(NH3)2(NO2)2 (2) starting from ca. 230 and 220 °C, in sealed crucibles with a pinhole on the top, respectively.  相似文献

The distribution of nitric acid between an aqueous phase of constant or variable ionic strength and a benzene solution of diphosphine dioxide can be explained by the following reactions H+a+ NO3-a+ DiPO0 ? D1PO·HNO30 H+a+ NO3-a+ DiPO·HNO30 ? DiPO·2 HNO30 At constant ionic strength, the stability constants K1″ were determined for the complexes 1,1-DiPO·HNO3 (98 ± 01 (M)-1), 1,4-DiPO·HNO3(44±3 (M)-1) and 1,5-DiPO·HNO3 (51 ± 1 (M)-1). The constants K11″ for the complexes 1,1-DiPO·2 HNO3 and 1,5-DiPO.2 HNO3 are respectively 035±001 (M)-1 and 62 ±0.05 (M)-1 at 25°. With an aqueous phase of variable ionic strength, values of K1'=54±7 (M)-2 for 1,5-D1PO.HNO3 and KII'=65 ± 04 (M)-2 for 1,5-DiPO·2 HN03 were obtained  相似文献

Extraction behaviors of Pd(II) in the TRUEX and PUREX solvent extractions were studied by using octyl(phenyl)-N,N-diisobutylcarbamoylmethylphosphine oxide. The effect of scrubbing in the TRUEX solvent extraction was demonstrated by adding oxalic acid. The distribution ratios of palladium (D Pd's) in the diluted region of [HNO3] were found to depend strongly on the fraction of cationic species, Pd(NO3)+, existed in the aqueous phase. The gradual decrease of DPd with the increase of acidity beyond [H+] 1 mol·dm-3 was controlled by the formation of the anionic species Pd(NO3)3 -.  相似文献

Potentiometric properties of manganese oxides doped with alkali metal ions (Na+, K+, Rb+ and Cs+), which were prepared by heating mixed solutions (starting solution) of each alkali metal and Mn2+ ions, were examined. Electrodes based on mixed phases of Nao44MnO2/Mn2O3 and hollandite KMn8O16/M2O3 found by X-ray powder diffraction (XRD) exhibited Na+- and K+-selective responses with a near-Nernstian slope, respectively, when the molar ratio of alkali metal ion to Mn2+ ion in the starting solution was 0.1. When no alkali metal ions were added in the manganese oxide films, no significant potentiometric response was observed to any alkali metal ions. The selectivity coefficients of these electrodes were = 6.7 × 10–2, = 7.1 × 10–3, < 9 × 10–4 and < 9x 10–4 for the Na0.44MnO2/Mn2O3, and <4 × 10–4 <4x 10–4, =60 × 10–2 ×10–4, < 4 × 10–4, for the KMn8O16/Mn2O3, respectively. Electrodes based on manganese oxides made from mixed solutions of Rb+/Mn2+ and Cs+/Mn2+ also responded to the respective primary ions, that is, Rb+ and Cs+ ions, although XRD patterns for the manganese oxides thus made did not show any peaks except for Mn2O3 (bixbyite); it was concluded in these cases that some amorphous type manganese oxides were formed in the Rb+/Mn2+ and Cs+/Mn2+ systems and they responded to the respective ions. Conditioning of these electrodes in an aerated indifferent electrolyte solution, 0.1M tetramethylammonium nitrate (TMA-NO3), for relatively long time, typically more than 2 hours, was found to be a prerequisite for near-Nernstian response to the respective alkali metal ions. During this electrode conditioning, vacant sites (template) suitable in size for selective uptake of primary ions seemed to be formed by releasing the doped alkali metal ions from the solid phase into the adjacent electrolyte solution accompanying oxidation of the manganese oxide film.  相似文献
