We realise Heckenberger and Kolb??s canonical calculus on quantum projective (N ? 1)-space C q [C p N?1] as the restriction of a distinguished quotient of the standard bicovariant calculus for the quantum special unitary group C q [SU N ]. We introduce a calculus on the quantum sphere C q [S 2N?1] in the same way. With respect to these choices of calculi, we present C q [C p N?1] as the base space of two different quantum principal bundles, one with total space C q [SU N ], and the other with total space C q [S 2N?1]. We go on to give C q [C p N?1] the structure of a quantum framed manifold. More specifically, we describe the module of one-forms of Heckenberger and Kolb??s calculus as an associated vector bundle to the principal bundle with total space C q [SU N ]. Finally, we construct strong connections for both bundles.  相似文献

It is suggested that the world is locally projectively flat rather than Euclidean. From this postulate it is shown that an (N+1)-particle system has the global geometry of the symmetric spaceSO(4,N+1)/SO(4)×SO(N+1). A complex representation also exists, with structureSU(2,N+1)/S[U(2)×U(N+1)]. Several aspects of these geometrics are developed. Physical states are taken to be eigenfunctions of the Laplace-Beltrami operators. The theory may provide a rational basis for comprehending the groupsSO(4, 2),SU(2)×U(1),SU(3), etc., of current interest.  相似文献

We compare the approaches of E. Cartan and of T.Y. Thomas and J.H.C. Whitehead to the study of ‘projective connections’. Although the quoted phrase has quite different meanings in the two contexts considered, we show that a class of projectively equivalent symmetric affine connections–or, more generally, sprays–on a manifold (the latter meaning) gives rise, in a global way, to a unique Cartan connection on a principal bundle over the manifold (the former meaning). The principal bundle on which the Cartan connection is defined is itself a geometric object, and exists independently of any particular connection. In the course of the discussion we derive a Cartan normal projective connection for a system of second-order ordinary differential equations (extending the results of Cartan from a single equation to many) and we generalize the concept of a normal Thomas–Whitehead connection from affine to general sprays.  相似文献

The paper considers the consequences of the principle of parametric (projective) invariance in the context of the general variational problem for stationary curves in a four-dimensional space-time. The necessity is shown of introducing a parameter along the trajectory as a fifth coordinate. The condition of cylindricality along it then acquires an obvious significance. The projective invariants are calculated for the trajectories of charged test particles in a gravielectromagnetic field. It is shown that one of these coincides with the density of the electromagnetic-field Lagrangian.  相似文献

An iteration method for projective reconstruction from uncalibrated image sequence with occlusions is presented in this paper. The reprojection points replace all the occlusions and projective reconstruction is obtained from all the points alternately, and the real positions of occlusions and the accurate projective reconstruction are finally obtained. The experiments with both synthetic and real data show that the method is effective and accurate.  相似文献

We present a number of conditions which are necessary for an n-dimensional projective structure (M,[]) to include the Levi-Civita connection of some metric on M. We provide an algorithm, which effectively checks whether a Levi-Civita connection is in the projective class and, which finds this connection and the metric, when it is possible. The article also provides basic information on invariants of projective structures, including the treatment via the Cartan normal projective connection. In particular we show that there are a number of Fefferman-like conformal structures, defined on a subbundle of the Cartan bundle of the projective structure, which encode the projectively invariant information about (M,[]).  相似文献

The transformation properties of the projective canonical group are considered. It is shown that the group acts transitiv on functions defined on configuration space but not transitiv on those defined on the phase space. By analogy with the Poisson algebra of quadratic forms on the symplectic plane and with the concept of duality in the projective plane introduced by Arnold (2005) [1], where the concurrence of the triangle altitudes is deduced from the Jacobi identity, we consider the Poisson algebras of the first degree harmonics on the sphere, on the pseudo-sphere and on the hyperboloid, to obtain analogous duality concepts and similar results for spherical, pseudo-spherical and hyperbolic geometry. Such algebras, including the algebra of quadratic forms, are isomorphic either to the Lie algebra of the vectors in R3R3, with the vector product, or to algebra sl2(R)sl2(R). The Tomihisa identity, introduced in (Tomihisa, 2009) [3] for the algebra of quadratic forms, holds for all these Poisson algebras and has a geometrical interpretation. The relationships between the different definitions of duality in projective geometry inherited by these structures are shown here.  相似文献

A method originally conceived by Bohm for abstracting key features of the metric geometry from an underlying spinor ordering is generalized to the projective geometry. This allows the introduction of the spinor into a projective context and the definition of an associated geometric algebra. Some concepts of real and complex projective geometry are applied to the fundamental physical notions that relate to Minkowski space and the Lorentz group. In particular, it is shown that the transition from an infinite speed of propagation for light waves to a finite one entails the replacement of a hyperplane at infinity with a light cone and the replacement of an affine hyperplane – or rest space – with a proper time hyperboloid. The transition from the metric theory of electromagnetism to the pre‐metric theory is discussed in the context of complex projective geometry, and ultimately, it is proposed that the geometrical issues are more general than electromagnetism, namely, they pertain to the transition from point mechanics to wave mechanics.  相似文献

It is shown that a projectively invariant Lagrangian field theory based on linear non-symmetric connections in space-time and arbitrary source fields is equivalent to Einstein's standard theory of gravitation coupled to a source Lagrangian depending solely on the original source fields. A key point is that, as in the case of Lagrangian field theories based on symmetric connections in space-time, the Euler-Lagrange field equations uniquely determine the projective invariant part of the linear connection in terms of the metric, their first-order derivatives, the source fields, and their conjugate momenta.  相似文献

The Lagrangian structure of the geodesic equation allows an extension of classical projective geometry to one-parameter projective group actions onR×TM (whereM is the spacetime). We determine all those projective actions which arise by prolongation of oneparameter group actions onR×M. We describe the universe as a single entangled ensemble of quantum particles. The total entropy of this world ensemble, which can be expressed as a sum of information, thermodynamic and entanglement components, is assumed to be always zero. This condition suggests information quantization, which we associate with the Planck’s action. Then the entropy neutrality condition for the universe leads to the zero-action principle. We show that the main concepts of classical space-time and gravity naturally emerge in this picture. A generalized least action principle, which embraces the maximal entropy principles of information theory, is introduced.  相似文献
