Based on the diffraction effect of sub-wavelength dielectric grating and the optical property of periodic photonic crystal, a hybrid structure of sub-wavelength grating all-dielectric multilayer thin film containing periodic photonic crystal is proposed. The transmission property of the structure is simulated by finite element method (FEM). The result shows that the discrete state generated by the sub-wavelength waveguide grating will be coupled with the continuous state generated by the photonic crystal cavity and the Fano resonance can be formed. The Fano resonance sensing model based on structural parameters and resonance wavelength are established, the influence of structural parameters on the Fano resonance spectral curve is quantitatively analyzed by numerical simulations, and the dynamic detection of the refractive index of samples is realized. The above structure can realize the optical refractive index sensing with high figure of merit (FOM) value and provide an effective theoretical reference for the formation of Fano resonance in the all-dielectric hybrid structure.  相似文献

We experimentally studied magnetically controllable photonic band gaps (PBGs) in two-dimensional magnetic photonic crystals consisting of ferrite rods. Besides the conventional PBG that relates to Bragg scattering, two other types of PBG, resulting from magnetic surface plasmon (MSP) resonance and spin-wave resonance, respectively, are observed. The PBG due to MSP resonance is particularly interesting because of its analogy to surface plasmon in metal; furthermore, it is shown to be completely tunable by an external static magnetic field from both an experimental and a theoretical point of view.  相似文献

Fano共振效应是一种具有非对称线型的共振散射现象,起源于共振过程和非共振过程的量子干涉效应。近年来,在等离子体纳米结构中Fano共振现象也被发现,并成为纳米光子学的一个研究热点。等离子体Fano共振通常具有较窄的光谱线宽,且不能直接与入射光耦合,只能局域在近场,强的近场局域特性可以获得巨大的表面电磁场增强。由于等离子体Fano共振独特的光学特性,已经被应用到单分子探测、高灵敏度传感、增强光谱、完美吸收、电磁诱导透明和慢光光子学器件等众多领域当中。  相似文献

We propose a hybrid resonance architecture in which a plasmonic element is coupled to a silicon-on-insulator photonic crystal nanobeam cavity operating at telecom wavelengths. It benefits from the combined characteristics of the photonic cavity and the plasmonic element, and exploits the unique properties of Fano resonances resulting from interactions between the continuum and the localized cavity states. As confirmed through 3D time-domain simulations, a strong cavity mode damping by the plasmonic element offers mechanisms of controlling a probe signal propagating in the nanobeam. It makes possible to create optical switching devices and logic gates relying on any optical nonlinear effect.  相似文献

We investigate the potential of plasmonic resonance in metal nanocomposite materials for the design of photonic crystal all optical switches by numerical methods. We study the absorption effect of the plasmonic resonance on the Fano resonances of one dimensional photonic crystal slabs covered by a metal nanocomposite layer. It is shown that the absorption reduces the contrast of the Fano resonances. However, for adequate metal nanoparticle concentrations it is possible to achieve both sufficiently sharp Fano resonance and strong Kerr nonlinearity, which provides a suitable condition for the design of high contrast and low threshold switches.  相似文献

硅基光子技术的发展为新型微纳光学功能器件和片上系统提供了高可靠、高精度的实现手段.采用硅基光子技术构建的具有连续(准连续)模式微腔与离散模式的微腔耦合产生的Fano共振现象得到了广泛关注.Fano共振光谱在共振波长附近具有不对称且尖锐的谐振峰,传输光的强度在共振波长附近从0突变为1,该机制可显著提高硅基光开关、探测器、传感器,以及光非互易性全光信号处理的性能.本综述分析了Fano共振的一般数学表述,总结了当前硅基光子微腔耦合产生Fano共振的理论模型研究现状,讨论了不同类型硅光器件实现Fano共振的方法,比较各种方案优劣及适用场合,梳理了Fano共振在全光信号处理方面的应用研究情况.最后探讨存在的一些问题及未来可能的相关研究方向.  相似文献

Detection of local strain at the nanometer scale with high sensitivity remains challenging. Here we report near-field infrared nano-imaging of local strains in bilayer graphene by probing strain-induced shifts of phonon frequency.As a non-polar crystal, intrinsic bilayer graphene possesses little infrared response at its transverse optical phonon frequency. The reported optical detection of local strain is enabled by applying a vertical electrical field that breaks the symmetry of the two graphene layers and introduces finite electrical dipole moment to graphene phonon. The activated phonon further interacts with continuum electronic transitions, and generates a strong Fano resonance. The resulted Fano resonance features a very sharp near-field infrared scattering peak, which leads to an extraordinary sensitivity of ~0.002% for the strain detection. Our results demonstrate the first nano-scale near-field Fano resonance, provide a new way to probe local strains with high sensitivity in non-polar crystals,and open exciting possibilities for studying strain-induced rich phenomena.  相似文献

利用传输矩阵法计算了正负折射率交替一维光子晶体的带隙特性。结果表明这种光子晶体具有宽而平坦的禁带,窄而尖锐的通带。这种带隙特性是受到布拉格散射、法布里-珀罗谐振和n-=0禁带共同影响的结果,通带位置决定于法布里-珀罗谐振。在理论分析基础上设计出密集波分复用用窄带梳状滤波器,给出信道间隔为0.8nm的梳状滤波器的仿真结果。仿真结果表明这种梳状滤波器具有信道间隔窄、禁带平坦、通带极窄的特点。信道间隔可以通过改变一维光子晶体单元周期光学厚度调节。  相似文献

介绍一种利用局域共振的原理制造人工光、声子结构材料的方法,此种方法不同于通常建立在布拉格散射基础上的光、声子晶体能带材料,但又表现出与之相同的物理特征,局域共振光、声子模型的优点是样品制作相对简单;不依赖于结构的周期性;可制备出亚波长的能隙结构,为微波及长波声波能带结构的制造提供了一种十分简便而有效的方法。  相似文献

基于Bragg反射光栅是一维光子晶体的一种特例结构,本文提出利用一维光子晶体带隙理论进行Bragg反射光栅设计.通过光学仿真软件OptiFDTD对Bragg反射光栅的宽度及倾斜角度误差的仿真分析,发现Bragg光栅齿刻槽宽度变化在10%范围、倾斜角度10°以内不会引起Bragg光栅衍射效率的明显变化,说明Bragg反射光栅具有较高的工艺误差容限;根据一维光子晶体带隙理论,设计了一种罗兰圆结构的Bragg衍射双光栅结构模型,实现了两个频段之间的衍射分光,优化分析结果表明:当第一套光栅中Bragg周期层数为6、第二套光栅Bragg周期层数为10时,两频段波长的衍射效率均可以达到70%左右,明显高于传统深刻蚀的衍射光栅.基于本设计的波分复用器是一种尺寸小、衍射效率高的新型EDG波分复用器,为未来高效密集型EDG波分复用器发展提供了一种新的设计思路.  相似文献

Structural control of quantum interference in the optical intrasubband absorption spectrum of GaAs/AlGaAs multi-quantum wells is investigated theoretically. Our study shows that pronounced Fano resonances are in general difficult to obtain in quantum well heterostructures, with a presence of distinct Fano resonance features being the exception rather than the rule. Guided by an analogy to Young’s double-slit experiment, we design increasingly improved structures to display Fano resonances. Best results are achieved in structures where there is strong overlap between the ground-state wavefunction and scattering states associated with the uncoupled continuum. Alternatively one may use ionization via two or more resonances. In this case, resonances should not be separated by more than 25 meV to give significant effects. Moreover, we show that resonance features may also be induced without potential barriers to a continuum merely via orthogonality between bound and excited states.  相似文献

Liquid filling of photonic crystal fibres reduces the scattering from air–glass interfaces during Bragg grating writing in many layered photonic crystal fibres. Within experimental uncertainty, the grating index modulation of a grating written in germanium-doped photonic crystal fibre with 10 rings of holes was more than doubled for a fixed fluence.  相似文献

将光纤布拉格光栅近似为一维光子晶体,研究光栅的能带结构和光学传输特性。利用平面波展开法对光子晶体进行理论研究,将研究方法移植到光纤布拉格光栅上,并对其进行数值分析,得到光栅的传输特性。研究表明,光栅反射谱有多个反射峰,峰值中心频率是基频的整数倍,而且峰值处存在光子带隙,反射峰带宽对应光子带隙宽度,中心频率和带宽随光栅长度、高介电常量材料占空比、调制深度而变化。结果与传统的耦合模理论一致。  相似文献

Considering models with tilted linear and quadratic band touching dispersions, the effect of the transverse linear tilt on the transmission spectra is analyzed through a harmonically driven potential well oriented longitudinally. Employing the Floquet scattering matrix formalism, Fano resonances are found as an outcome of matching between the Floquet sidebands and quasi-bound states, where the tilt renormalizes their energies and wave vectors. It is found that the Fano resonance energy decreases (increases) for linear (quadratic) band touchings as the magnitude of the transverse momentum increases, indicating a distinct signature of the underlying band dispersion in the transmission profile. The sign of the product of the transverse momentum and the tilt also determines the relative shift in the Fano resonance energy with respect to the untilted case for both band dispersions, suggesting a possible tunability of the Fano resonance for tilted systems. Importantly, the tilt strength can also be directly determined by measuring the Fano resonance energy as function of the transverse momenta direction. The shot noise spectra and their differential property are further studied where an inflection region and undulation, respectively, is found around the Fano resonance energy. Interestingly, differential shot noise and transmission spectra both qualitatively behave in a similar fashion and might thus serve as important observables for future experiments on driven solid-state systems.  相似文献

Periodic incorporation of quantum wells inside a one-dimensional Bragg structure is shown to enhance coherent coupling of excitons to the electromagnetic Bloch waves. We demonstrate strong coupling of quantum well excitons to photonic crystal Bragg modes at the edge of the photonic band gap, which gives rise to mixed Bragg polariton eigenstates. The resulting Bragg polariton branches are in good agreement with the theory and allow demonstration of Bragg polariton parametric amplification.  相似文献

The light scattering is found to have a great influence on the transmission spectra of photonic crystal of anodic alumina. The incident light is diffracted by a regular array of branched channels or pores obeying the Bragg law. The intensity of transmission light decreases with the increasing etching time because of the increasing porosity or enlarging scatterers. The variation of intensity and widths of dips in transmission spectra of the porous alumina membrane versus the incidence angle shows the quite different characteristics from the other photonic crystal such as colloidal photonic crystal.  相似文献

The diffraction of light passing through a glass plate coated by an artificial opal film has been analyzed. It has been shown that the stop band of a photonic crystal is manifested against the background of the unchanged spectrum of reflected and refracted Bragg waves. The position of this stop band can be changed under a small change in the concentration of a number of substances filling the photonic crystal. The application of such an optical system as an optical chemical sensor has been demonstrated.  相似文献

A laser beam directed at a mirror attached onto a flexible mount adds friction to its mechanical motion by the Doppler effect. For a normal mirror the efficiency of this radiative Doppler friction is very weak and practically masked by laser shot noise. We find that it can become very efficient using a photonic crystal mirror near its photonic band gaps. As an example, a Bragg mirror used at the long wavelength edge of its band stop can be efficiently optically cooled using the Doppler friction. The opposite effect opens new routes for optical pumping of mechanical systems: a laser pointing at a Bragg mirror and tuned at its short wavelength edge induces amplification of the vibrational excitation of the mirror leading eventually to its self-oscillation. These new effects rely on the strong dependency of a photonic crystal reflectivity on the wavelength.  相似文献

Synchrotron small-angle x-ray diffraction images of random-stacking-induced Bragg scattering rods are obtained in a wide range of wave vectors from a single colloidal crystal. The results reveal a strong multiple scattering effect, which leads to new features in the diffraction pattern-secondary Bragg rods. We argue that dynamic x-ray diffraction is rather common for high-quality colloidal photonic crystals and should be taken into account.  相似文献
