The purpose of this Note is to unify quantum groups and star-products under a general umbrella: quantum groupoids. It is shown that a quantum groupoid naturally gives rise to a Lie bialgebroid as a classical limit. The converse question, i.e.. the quantization problem, is posed. In particular, any regular triangular Lie bialgebroid is shown quantizable. For the Lie bialgebroid of a Poisson manifold, its quantization is equivalent to a star-product.  相似文献

In this paper a general procedure is given to get the quantum derformation of the Lie superalgebra spl(2,1) and its corresponding algebraic structure of a quantum group i.e. non-commutative, non-co-commutative Hopf superalgebra. This procedure would be suitable for another Lie superalgebra.  相似文献

In this paper twists of reduced locally compact quantum groups are studied. Twists of the dual coaction on a reduced crossed product are introduced and the twisted dual coactions are proved to satisfy a type of Takesaki–Takai duality. The twisted Takesaki–Takai duality implies that twists of discrete, torsion-free quantum groups are torsion-free. Cocycle twists of duals of semisimple, compact Lie are studied leading to a locally compact quantum group contained in the Drinfeld–Jimbo algebra which gives a dual notion of Woronowicz deformations for semisimple, compact Lie groups. These cocycle twists are proven to be torsion-free whenever the Lie group is simply connected.  相似文献

We investigate Lie bialgebra structures on the derivation Lie algebra over the quantum torus. It is proved that, for the derivation Lie algebra W over a rank 2 quantum torus, all Lie bialgebra structures on W are the coboundary triangular Lie bialgebras. As a by-product, it is also proved that the first cohomology group H 1(W, W ? W) is trivial.  相似文献

We review recent results obtained at the intersection of the theory of quantum deformed Calogero–Moser–Sutherland systems and the theory of Lie superalgebras. We begin with a definition of admissible deformations of root systems of basic classical Lie superalgebras. For classical series, we prove the existence of Lax pairs. Connections between infinite-dimensional Calogero–Moser–Sutherland systems, deformed quantum CMS systems, and representation theory of Lie superalgebras are discussed.  相似文献

Summary In quantum mechanics certain operator-valued measures are introduced, called instruments, which are an analogue of the probability measures of classical probability theory. As in the classical case, it is interesting to study convolution semigroups of instruments on groups and the associated semigroups of probability operators. In this paper the case is considered of a finite-dimensional Hilbert space (n-level quantum system) and of instruments defined on a finite-dimensional Lie group. Then, the generator of a continuous semigroup of (quantum) probability operators is characterized. In this way a quantum analogue of Hunt's representation theorem for the generator of convolution semigroups on Lie groups is obtained.  相似文献

It is proved that under an existence condition, the dimension of all n-linear quantum Lie operations lies between (n - 2)! and (n - 1)!; moreover, the low bound is attained if the intersection of all conforming (i.e., satisfying the existence condition) subsets of a given set of quantum variables is nonempty. The upper bound is attained if all subsets are conforming. The space of multilinear quantum Lie operations is almost always generated by symmetric operations. All exceptional cases are given. In particular, the space of general n-linear Lie operations is always generated by general symmetric quantum Lie operations. Bibliography: 24 titles.  相似文献

We obtain an explicit formula for finding cocycles on a matched pair of Lie groups by using cocycles on the corresponding pair of Lie algebras. This formula for cocycles allows one to construct examples of locally compact quantum groups via bicrossproduct of Lie groups.  相似文献

We study representations of the Heisenberg-Weyl algebra and a variety of Lie algebras, e.g., su(2), related through various aspects of the spectral theory of self-adjoint operators, the theory of orthogonal polynomials, and basic quantum theory. The approach taken here enables extensions from the one-variable case to be made in a natural manner. Extensions to certain infinite-dimensional Lie algebras (continuous tensor products, q-analogs) can be found as well. Particularly, we discuss the relationship between generating functions and representations of Lie algebras, spectral theory for operators that lead to systems of orthogonal polynomials and, importantly, the precise connection between the representation theory of Lie algebras and classical probability distributions is presented via the notions of quantum probability theory. Coincidentally, our theory is closed connected to the study of exponential families with quadratic variance in statistical theory.  相似文献

We establish a correspondence (or duality) between the characters and the crystal bases of finite-dimensional representations of quantum groups associated to Langlands dual semi-simple Lie algebras. This duality may also be stated purely in terms of semi-simple Lie algebras. To explain this duality, we introduce an “interpolating quantum group” depending on two parameters which interpolates between a quantum group and its Langlands dual. We construct examples of its representations, depending on two parameters, which interpolate between representations of two Langlands dual quantum groups.  相似文献

Representations of a complex form of the Lie algebra of the Euclidean group of the plane are found. Bases for the corresponding Hilbert spaces are given in terms of Lommel polynomials and Bessel functions. An element of the Lie algebra is interpreted as a quantum random variable leading to the Lommel distributions. The tails of these distributions and limit theorems are studied. Applications to electronic music are noted, as well as connection with quantum mechanics on a one-dimensional lattice.  相似文献

Let be an untwisted affine Kac-Moody algebra, with its Sklyanin-Drinfel'd structure of Lie bialgebra, and let be the dual Lie bialgebra. By dualizing the quantum double construction – via formal Hopf algebras – we construct a new quantum group , dual of . Studying its specializations at roots of 1 (in particular, its semi-classical limits), we prove that it yields quantizations of and (the formal Poisson group attached to ), and we construct new quantum Frobenius morphisms. The whole picture extends to the untwisted affine case the results known for quantum groups of finite type. Received January 27, 1999  相似文献

We study a certain discrete differentiation of piecewise-constant functions on the adjoint of the braid hyperplane arrangement, defined by taking finite-differences across hyperplanes. In terms of Aguiar-Mahajan's Lie theory of hyperplane arrangements, we show that this structure is equivalent to the action of Lie elements on faces. We use layered binary trees to encode flags of adjoint arrangement faces, allowing for the representation of certain Lie elements by antisymmetrized layered binary forests. This is dual to the well-known use of (delayered) binary trees to represent Lie elements of the braid arrangement. The discrete derivative then induces an action of layered binary forests on piecewise-constant functions, which we call the forest derivative. Our main result states that forest derivatives of functions factorize as external products of functions precisely if one restricts to functions which satisfy the Steinmann relations, which are certain four-term linear relations appearing in the foundations of axiomatic quantum field theory. We also show that the forest derivative satisfies the Lie properties of antisymmetry the Jacobi identity. It follows from these Lie properties, and also crucially factorization, that functions which satisfy the Steinmann relations form a left comodule of the Lie cooperad, with the coaction given by the forest derivative. Dually, this endows the adjoint braid arrangement modulo the Steinmann relations with the structure of a Lie algebra internal to the category of vector species. This work is a first step towards describing new connections between Hopf theory in species and quantum field theory.  相似文献

We construct the Yangian of the strange Lie superalgebra as a particular case of the general construction of a twisted Yangian. We describe a Poincaré-Birkhoff-Witt basis of the Yangian of the type-Qn Lie superalgebra and construct the quantum double of the Yangian of the type-Q2 strange Lie superalgebra.  相似文献

In this paper, we present an approach to the definition of multiparameter quantum groups by studying Hopf algebras with triangular decomposition. Classifying all of these Hopf algebras which are of what we call weakly separable type over a group, we obtain a class of pointed Hopf algebras which can be viewed as natural generalizations of multiparameter deformations of universal enveloping algebras of Lie algebras. These Hopf algebras are instances of a new version of braided Drinfeld doubles, which we call asymmetric braided Drinfeld doubles. This is a generalization of an earlier result by Benkart and Witherspoon (Algebr. Represent. Theory 7(3) ? BC) who showed that two-parameter quantum groups are Drinfeld doubles. It is possible to recover a Lie algebra from these doubles in the case where the group is free abelian and the parameters are generic. The Lie algebras arising are generated by Lie subalgebras isomorphic to \(\mathfrak {sl}_{2}\).  相似文献

We define deformations of W-algebras associated to comple semisimple Lie algebras by means of quantum Drinfeld-Sokolov reduction procedure for affine quantum groups. We also introduce Wakimoto modules for arbitrary affine quantum groups and construct free field resolutions and screening operators for the deformed W-algebras. We compare our results with earlier definitions of q-W-algebras and of the deformed screening operators due to Awata, Kubo, Odake, Shiraishi [60],[6], [7], Feigin, E. Frenkel [22] and E. Frenkel, Reshetikhin [34]. The screening operator and the free field resolution for the deformed W-algebra associated to the simple Lie algebra sl2 coincide with those for the deformed Virasoro algebra introduced in [60]. We consider equations on Lie groups and classical and quantum Hamiltonian systems on coadjoint representation orbits. We show that the transition to canonical coordinates on orbits of the coadjoint representation allows constructing semiclassical solutions and the corresponding spectra of quantum equations such that all the symmetries of the original problem are preserved. Our method is used to find the semiclassical spectrum of the asymmetric quantum top.  相似文献
