A novel method of obtaining detailed infromation on the level density far above the yrast line is described. The γ-ray multiplicity as a function of excitation energy in 160Dy is studied by means of the 161Dy(3He, α)160Dy reaction.  相似文献

Excitation functions of γ-rays from the 75As(p, n)75Se reaction were measured with 2.0 to 3.6 MeV protons to establish the level scheme of 75Se up to about 1.5 MeV excitation energy. Internal conversion electrons following the same reaction were measured at 4.5 and 5.0 MeV proton energy. Using theoretical predictions of the statistical compound nucleus model together with deduced internal conversion coefficients, unique spin assignments were obtained for the 112.5(72+), 427.9(52?) and 663.9(52?) keV levels. Probable spins were proposed to the 286.6 (32? for one of the doublet and 52? or 72? for the other), 579.4 (12? or 32?, 585.8(92? or 112? and 747.6 (52? or 72?) keV levels. Alow-lying 92+ level was tentatively assigned at 133.2 keV energy. It was found that a low-lying 12? level which appears systematically in other odd Se nuclei is absent in 75Se.  相似文献

High-spin states in 195, 197Tl have been populated with (α, xn) reactions and studied by means of in-beam γ-ray and e? spectroscopic methods. Complementary studies of the decay of 195, 197Pb to 195, 197Tl have been carried out. Several new features have been observed in these nuclei. The 92? bands of 195, 197T1. extended to 272(?) and 292(?), respectively, show a quenching of energy spacings between the 232?, 252?, 272(? and 292(? states. This has been interpreted as resulting from the coupling of a h92 proton to the (πh?2112)8+, 10+ configurations in the core nuclei 194, 196Hg. Furthermore, positive-parity bands based on 152+ states were established up to the 352(+) and 292(+) states in 195, 197Tl respectively. Probably these bands originate from the coupling of a h92 proton to a broken neutron pair. This pair consists of a rotation-aligned i132 neutron and a low-j neutron in the P12, P32 or f52 shell. It is known to constitute the 5? bands in 194, 196Hg.  相似文献

The quadrupole interaction frequencies ω0 = 3eQ1Vzz41(21-1) h? in the 5? state of 118Sn have been measured by time differential perturbed angular correlation technique in Sn, Sb and (95% Sn+5% Sb) environments. The ω0 for 116Sn was determined in Sn environment only. With the help of the known electric field gradient 1) of Sn in a Sn lattice the quadrupole moments have been deduced as Q(5?, 118Sn) = ±0.10(4) b and Q(5?, 116Sn) = ±0.165(60) b. These values together with the known2) quadrupole moment of the analogous 5? state in 120Sn are interpreted in terms of the pure single-particle model. The data exhibit the expected strong systematic variation of QI with the number of particles in the h112. subshell which is being filled with 1, 3 and 5 neutrons in 116Sn, 118Sn, and 120Sn, respectively.  相似文献

The lifetimes of the lowest 32?and52? levels in 103Rh, 107Ag and 109Ag have been measured with the Doppler-shift version of the recoil-distance technique. A beam of 35Cl ions of energy 64 MeV was used to Coulomb excite the target nuclei and eject them from the target. The following lifetimes were obtained: τ(103Rh, 32?, 295 keV) = 14.5 ± 1.5 ps, ρ103Rh, 52?, 357 keV) = 112 ± 10 ps; τ(107Ag, 32?, 325 keV) = 7.2 ± 1.3 ps, τ(107Ag, 52?, 423 keV) = 43 ± 3 ps; τ(109Ag, 32?, 311 keV) = 8.5 ± 1.0 ps, τ(109Ag, 52?, 415 keV) = 50 ± 3 ps. Of t correction factors taken into account the perturbation of the γ-ray angular distribution by the magnetic hyperfine interaction during recoil through vacuum was found to give the largest correction to the measured lifetimes. These lifetimes lead to reduced transition probabilities Bd(E2) for the silver nuclei in reasonable agreement with the predictions of the core-excitation theory.  相似文献

The g-factors of the 10+ isomeric states in 194Hg and 196Hg have been measured using the in beam IPAD method. The results g(194Hg) = ?0.24(4) and g(196Hg) = ?0.18(9) are in agreement with the value expected for an (i132?2) neutron satructure and clearly contradict the previous assignment as (h112?2) proton configurations. Cranking model calculations show that the neutron excitation energies in the rotating frame agree satisfactorily with the experimental energies and that the proton excitations are expected ≈2 MeV above the experimental yrast line  相似文献

Low-temperature time differential perturbed angular correlation experiments with the 164 keV-134 keV cascade of 197mHg in a zinc matrix give evidence that the hitherto accepted value of the quadrupole moment of the first 52? state of 197Hg is erroneous. A new value is derived from a time differential perturbed angular correlation experiment with the 374 keV?158 keV cascade of 199mHg implanted into a Be single crystal and comparison with an analogous experiment for 197mHg. Taking Q(52?, 199Hg) = +0.95(7) b we derive |Q(52?, 197Hg)¦= 0.081(6) b. This change of quadrupole moment is discussed in the framework of the shell model.  相似文献

High-spin states in 169, 170W have been populated in 154Gd(20Ne, xn) reactions. In-beam γ-ray spectroscopic techniques with multi-detector set-ups, multiplicity filters and an anti-Compton shield have been used. Levels up to about spin 30 (tentatively up to 36) in 170W and up to 572 (tentatively up to 612) in 169W have been identified. The data are interpreted within the framework of a pairing-selfconsistent cranking model. The nuclear shape evolution with increasing spin is studied theoretically within a configuration-controlled shell correction approach and also pairing effects are studied. The behaviour of the yrast states around 28+ in 170W can be related in a model-dependent way to a reduction of the neutron-pairing correlations.  相似文献

Resonances in the reaction 56Fe(p, γ)57Co have been surveyed over the energy range 1.2 ? Ep ? 1.5 MeV wherein the analogues of the ground state (Jπ = 12?, 0.014 MeV state (Jπ = 32?) and 0.136 MeV state (Jπ = 52?) of 57Fe are expected to occur. Gamma-ray angular distributions have been used to establish resonance and bound-state spins, and decay schemes have been determined. The analogue resonances appear to be severely fragmented, however the density of resonances of a given spin correlates quite well with (3He, d) results and with the expected analogue-state positions.  相似文献

Nuclear g-factors have been measured for the 7? isomer in 146Gd and for the 272? isometer in 147Gd. For 147Gd the results is consistent with the expectation for a pure shell model configuration.  相似文献

The high-spin level structures of 152Dy and 153Dy were studied experimentally with 154, 155Gd(α xnγ) in-beam reactions, and for 152Dy also with 144, 146Nd(12C, xnγ) reactions. The experiments included measurements of singles γ-ray and conversion-electron spectra, γ-ray angular distributions and Eγ-t and Eγ-Eγ-t coincidences. A multiplicity filter set-up was used to study the feeding and decay of isomeric states in 152Dy. In 152Dy about twenty so far unknown levels were found, including two high-spin isomeric states with T12 ≈ 60 and ≈ 13 ns at excitation energies Ex ≈ 5.04 and 6.08 MeV, respectively. These states are compared with recent calculations on yrast traps. The level scheme of 153Dy contains 28 levels up to Ex = 4.1 MeV and Jπ = (372+). Band structures in both nuclei are discussed in comparison with other N = 86 and N = 87 isotones.  相似文献

Levels of 184W populated in the decay of 8.7 h 184Ta have been studied by a variety of experimental techniques. As a result of β and γ-ray energy and intensity determinations and extensive β-γ and γ-γ coincidence measurements, a detailed 184Ta decay scheme accommodating more than 99.5% of the decay intensity has been established. Intense β-ray groups of end-point energies 1165±26 and 1123±26 keV populate levels in 184W at 1699 and 1746 keV, which de-excite predominantly to the 8.3 μs isomeric level at 1285 keV, recently identified as the 12?[510]ν?112+ [615]ν Kπ = 5? band origin. The 1699 keV level also de-excites to members of a 12?[510]ν?72 [503]ν Kπ = 3+ band based at 1425 keV. New information about the properties of the γ-vibrational and K = 2 octupole bands in 184W is presented and the possible configurations of the levels directly populated in the β? decay are discussed. The configuration 72+[404]π ?32? [512]ν Kπ = 5? is indicated for the 184Ta ground state.  相似文献

Some of the low-lying energy levels of 107Ag and 109Ag were excited by Coulomb excitation using α-particles from 4.8 to 7.2 MeV. Transitions to the isomeric state (72+), involving a parity change, were observed both directly in the singles spectra and indirectly by the decay of the isomer. The isomer in both silver isotopes was populated by transitions from the 52? level, which was strongly excited. The observed branching ratio in 109Ag for the 52?72+ transition was (0.315 ± 0.09) % and for the 52?92+ transition was (0.055±0.03) %. The total rate of populating the 72+ level from the 52? level was (0.215±0.04) % in 107Ag. The level schemes have been discussed on the weak-coupling model, allowing admixtures of singleparticle wave functions to account for the weaker transitions.  相似文献

Measurements were made of elastic and inelastic proton scattering on 207Pb targets in the energy range from 11.1 to 14.4 MeV. The scattering to the 12? ground state and to the 32? and 52? exciced levels was analyzed in terms of a 0+ analogue resonance interfering with the non-resonant background and with the contribution from the 3? resonance. The resonance parameters were determined together with the magnitude and relative sign of three background components.  相似文献

A level scheme of 144Gd has been established using the 144Sm(α, 4nγ) reaction and in-beam spectroscopy methods. Excitation functions, γ-ray angular distributions, γ-γ coincidence spectra, γ-spectra time related to the cyclotron beam bursts and conversion coefficients for the delayed transitions have been measured. The level scheme comprises 11 levels with spins up to I = 12. Two isomers, a 13 ± 2 ns, 7? state at 2471.4 keV and a 145 ± 30 ns, 10+ state at 3433.0 keV have been observed. The former has similar excitation energy as the 7? isomers in 142Sm, 140Nd and 138Ce and it may arise from the d32?1 × νh112?1} configuration although its lifetime seems to indicate some degree of collectivity. The 10+ state has a similar excitation energy as the 10+ isomer found in 138Ce and it may arise from the dominant νh112?2 configuration. Below the 10+ isomer in 144Gd only two excited states have positive parity; the hitherto known first 2+ and 4+ states. The 11+ and 12+ states must include four-particle configurations or they have to be of collective nature. The latter possibility is supported by the considerable E2/M1 mixture (≈ 20 %) observed for the 11+ to 10+ transition. An analysis of the systematics of ground band levels in the N = 80 isotones shows the same gradual behavior between the two VMI solutions previously found for the Te isotopes.  相似文献

High spin states of 57Co have been studied via prompt γ-ray spectroscopy in the reactions 48Ti(12C, p2n) and 54Fe(α, p) at 26–48 MeV and 12–24 MeV, respectively. The energies and decay modes of these levels were determined from the analysis of γ-ray singles and γ-γ coincidence spectra, excitation functions, angular distributions and correlations. The relevant lifetimes were measured by the Doppler-shift attenuation method. The new levels established in this work are at 4037, 4814 and 5918 keV with the most probable Jπ assignment of 152?, if 172? and 192?, respectively. The previously known level at 2524 keV was assigned to have Jπ = 132?. These together with the known 92?(1224 keV) and 112?(1690 keV) levels constitute the yrast states of 57Co. The measured lifetimes of the above six levels are (in order of increasing energies) 0.085±0.030, 0.32±0.10, 0.16±0.06, 0.10?0.07+0.06, 1.5?0.54 and 0.17?0.07+0.08 ps, respectively. Comparisons with some theoretical calculations are presented.  相似文献

The 40Ca(α, 3He) reaction has been studied at 36 MeV incident energy. About fifty levels have been observed up to 7.1 MeV excitation energy and angular distributions were measured from 6–60° using a split-pole spectrometer. A local zero-range DWBA analysis has been carried out, and the deduced l-assignments and spectroscopic factors are compared with those obtained from previous neutron stripping experiments. Core-excited states in 41Ca with a [3? ? f7,2], [2+ ? f7,2] and [5? ? f7,2] component previously observed in inelastic scattering experiments, are selectively excited by the (α, 3He) reaction. Their angular distributions are compared with coupled-reaction-channel calculations, assuming a pure two-step reaction mechanism. The agreement between theory and experiment may be considered as rather satisfactory for a number of levels. In particular the 12+and32+ levels and the high-spin states with Jπ = 92?, 112+, 152+and172+ are successfully described within the framework of the weak-coupling model.  相似文献

Using the OSIRIS on-line isotope separator facility, the decays of 130Sn and 130, 132Sb have been studied. On the basis of singles γ and γ-γ coincidence Ge(Li) spectra and conversion electron Si(Li) measurements, level schemes for 130Sb, 130Te and 132Te have been constructed. The corresponding half-lives have been measured using multiscaling technique. The 3.8 min ground state of 130Sn populates only positive parity states in the πν?3 nucleus 130Sb: the energetically lowest 5+ state with the (π1g72, ν2d32) configuration assignment; the T12 = 3.6 ± 0.3 ns 4+ state at 70.0 keV; the 2+ state at 262.5 keV; the (0, 1)+ state at 697.2 keV; the 3+ state at 813.1 keV and the 1+ state at 1042.3 keV excitation energy. A 1.7 min isomeric state in 130Sn, with the tentative spin assignment (7?), populates several odd parity levels in 130Sb. These arise from the (π1g72, ν1h112-1) and/or (π2d52, ν1h112-1) configurations and are located 84.7 keV (6?), 144.9 keV (7?), 688.5 keV and 1044.0 keV above the 40 min 8? β- decaying state. No transitions between odd and even parity states have been observed. The most important excited states in 130Te found in the β? decay of the 6.6 min 130Sb 5+ state are: 839.4 keV, 2+; 1632.8 keV, 4+; 1815.1 keV, 6+; 2100.8 keV, 5?.Levels in the π2ν?2 nucleus 132Te were observed in the β? decays of the 2.8 min 132Sb (4+) and the 4.2 min 132Sb (8?) states. Unique spin and parity assignments have been given to the following states: 973.9 keV, 2+; 1670.7 keV, 4+; 1774.1 keV, 6+; 1924.7 keV, 7?; 2053.0 keV, 5?.  相似文献

The electron capture decay schemes of 245Bk and 246Bk have been investigated by measuring the γ-ray and conversion-electron spectra of mass-separated 245Bk and 246Bk samples. The γ-ray spectra were measured with a 25 cm3 Ge(Li) spectrometer and the conversion-electron spectra were measured with a cooled Si (Li) detector. Multipolarities of most of the transitions in 245Cm and 246Cm were deduced. The half-lives of 245Bk and 246Bk were determined by following the decay of the 252.85 and 798.7 keV photopeaks and were found to be 4.90 ± 0.03 d and 1.80 ± 0.02 d, respectively. The α/(α+EC) ratio for the 245Bk decay was measured to be (1.2 ± 0.1) × 10?3. On the basis of the present investigation the following non-rotational states were identified in 245Cm: 72+ [624], 0; 52+[622], 252.85; 12+ 355.95; 32? vibrational, 633.65; and 12+[620], 740.95 keV. The 32? state at 633.65 keV is int as a Kπ = 2? phonon coupled to the i72+[624] single-particle state. Our measurements of 246Bk γ-ray and conversion-electron energies and intensities confirm previous level assignments in 246Cm.  相似文献

The inclusive production of K?1(890) and K?1(1420) is studied in K??p interactions at 10 and 16 GeV/c. At 10 GeV/c an enhancement in the (K?0π?) mass distribution is found at 1.74 GeV, but no clear signal is seen at 16 GeV/c. The fraction of K0's coming from decay of the K1(890) orK1(1420) is large, being (50 ± 6)% and (45 ± 5)% at 10 and 16 GeV/c, respectively. The inclusive cross sections for K1?(890) and K10(890) production are almost constant with energy from 8 to 32 GeV/c with values of 3.5 and 3.3 mb, respectively. The K1(890) production cross section is studied as a function of transverse and longitudinal variables and found to derive mainly from fragmentation of the incident K? meson. The spectra of K0's resulting from the decay of K1(890) are studied.  相似文献
