The forward elastic scattering amplitudes Ti(v,q2), (i = 1,2), of the virtual photon with the mass q2 are considered in variables σ and ? where σ and ? are related to q2 and v by the formulae q2 = exp (2σ) and v = exp (σ) ch?. It has been proved that microcausality requirement implies the analyticity of amplitudes in the tube region [Im σ + π/2] + |Im?| < π/2 as a function of both complex variables σ and ?. Formulae are obtained expressing amplitudes Tl(v,q2) at arbitrary v and q2 through functions Wl(?)(v, q2) describing the electroproduction process ?2v < q2 < 0.  相似文献

General conditions for reconstructing physical null radiation zones in single photon tree amplitudes are given. The systematic analysis has been carried out using invariant quantities. For arbitrary values of masses and charges these zones are always smaller than in the massless and equal charges case. As an application the radiative W boson decay into heavy quarks is studied. This process turns out be a rather sensitive test of the current quark masses mq(MW2), as well as of the qqW, qqγ and W+W?γ vertices. This is to the presence of a null line in the photon phase space with a location which strongly depends on mq. A recently proposed radiation representation for single photon tree amplitudes is analyzed. Explicit examples are given for a number of cases including fermion and vector boson lines.  相似文献

Some quantum integrable finite-dimensional systems related to Lie algebras are considered. This review continues the previous review of the same authors [83] devoted to the classical aspects of these systems. The dynamics of some of these systems is closely related to free motion in symmetric spaces. Using this connection with the theory of symmetric spaces some results such as the forms of spectra, wave functions, S-matrices, quantum integrals of motion are derived. In specific cases the considered systems describe the one-dimensional n-body systems interacting pairwise via potentials g2v(q) of the following 5 types: vI(q) = q?2, vII(q) = sinh?2q, vIII(q) = sin?2q, vIV(q) = P(q), vV(q) = q?2 + ω2q2. Here P(q) is the Weierstrass function, so that the first three cases are merely subcases of the fourth. The system characterized by the Toda nearest-neighbour potential exp(qjqj+ 1) is moreover considered.This review presents from a general and universal point of view results obtained mainly over the past fifteen years. Besides, it contains some new results both of physical and mathematical interest.  相似文献

The deuteron elastic form factors are calculated within the Bethe-Salpeter approach with separable interaction. The charge, quadrupole, and magnetic form factors [F C(q 2), F Q(q 2), and F M(q 2), respectively]; the structure functions A(q 2) and B(q 2); and the tensor polarization components T 20(q 2, T 21(q 2), and T 22(q 2) are investigated up to ?q 2=50 fm?2. The role of relativistic effects is discussed, and a comparison with nonrelativistic calculations is performed. The effect of the neutron form factors on the deuteron form factors and especially on tensor polarization components is discussed too.  相似文献

The energy-momentum tensor in spontaneously broken non-Abelian gauge field theories is studied. The motivation is to show that recent results on the finiteness and gauge independence of S-matrix elements in gauge theories extends to observable amplitudes for transitions in a gravitational field. Path integral methods and dimensional regularization are used throughout. Green's functions Γμν(j)(q; p1,…,pj) involving the energy-momentum tensor and j particle fields are proved finite to all orders in perturbation theory to zero and first order in q, and finite to one loop order for general q. Amputated Green's functions of the energy momentum tensor are proved to be gauge independent on mass shell.  相似文献

It is shown that the space P(Γs) of Γs-distribution functions ?(q, p) (Husimi transforms) can be described without reference to any conventional representation of the density operator ?. A Liouville-type differential equation governing the free time-evolution of ?t(q, p) is derived and solved explicitly; the time dependence of this solution supports the thesis that ?(q, p) is a bona fide probability density observable with optimally accurate apparatus for the simultaneous measurement of position and momentum. Liouville-type equations are derived also for the case when local interactions described by analytic potentials are present. Probability currents corresponding to ?(q, p) are defined and it is shown that they obey a continuity equation at space-time points. Reduced Γs-distribution functions are defined and it is shown that they obey a BBGKY hierarchy of equations. A Brownian-motion experimental test of the underlying theory of measurement is suggested.  相似文献

We calculate, in lowest-order perturbation theory, the cumulative transverse momentum cross section for the Drell-Yan process in the regime m2?pT2?q2, keeping both single and double logarithmic terms. We verify that this distribution takes the proposed form of a product of structure functions evaluated at pT2 and the square of the Sudakov form factor S(pT2/q2), evaluated to subleading order.  相似文献

Comparison of the predictionsof asymptotically free gauge theories on ? 1n vW2(x, q2)|? 1n q2 in the small x region with recent data on high-energy muon-hadron scattering allows a fairly direct determination of the effective coupling constant. The result is α(q2)?0.21/[1 + 0.14 1n q2 (GeV2)]. This is much smaller than previous indirect estimates.  相似文献

The slow dynamics of microscopic density correlations in supercooled glycerol was studied by time-domain interferometry using 57Fe-nuclear resonant scattering gamma rays of synchrotron radiation. The dependence of the relaxation time at 250 K on the momentum transfer q is maximum near the first peak of the static structure factor S(q) at q ~ 15 nm ?1. The q-dependent behavior of the relaxation time known as de Gennes narrowing was confirmed in glycerol. Conversely, de Gennes narrowing around the second and third peaks of S(q) at q ~ 26 nm ?1 and 54 nm ?1 was not detected. The q dependence of the relaxation time was found to follow a power-law equation with power-law index of 1.9(2) in the q region well above the first peak of S(q) up to ~ 60 nm ?1, which corresponds to angstrom scale, within experimental error. This suggests that in the angstrom-scale dynamics of supercooled glycerol, independent motions dominate over collective motion.  相似文献

By application of Landau's kinetic theory of a Fermi liquid in non-equilibrium, we have deduced a dispersive, momentum and frequency dependent shear viscosity coefficient η(q, ω) for symmetric nuclear matter. The resulting formula for η is found to be complicated for arbitrary q, ω; however, simple interpretation is possible in the limit of small momentum q → 0. In the static limit, ω → 0, η reduces to the well known kinetic formula for the hydrodynamic viscosity coefficient ηo, while in the high frequency (zero sound) limit, ωτ ? 1, η(ω) is found proportional to (?)? indicating elastic behaviour of nuclear matter. As is discussed shortly, application of these results to finite nuclei unfortunately does not seem justified.  相似文献

A new approach is proposed to the problem of the relationship between the e+e? hadron annihilation cross section and the behaviour of the hadronic vacuum polarization tensor Πμν(q) in the space-like region. By using this approach based on the principles of functional analysis, one can uniquely transform the information about the behaviour of Πμν(q) at q2 → ?∞, which is available in asymptotically free theories and in theories with anomalous dimensions, into constraints on the e+e? total cross section.  相似文献

K ?? nuclear optical potentials are constructed from in-medium ${\bar K}N$ scattering amplitudes within a chirally motivated coupled-channel model. The strong energy and density dependence of the scattering amplitudes at and below threshold leads to K ?? potential depths ?Re $V_{K^-}(\rho_0) \approx 80 -100$ ?MeV. Self consistent calculations of K ?? nuclear quasi-bound states are discussed.  相似文献

Eight angular distributions measured for 18+, π?)18Ne(gs) across the Δ33 resonance show the details of the energy dependence of the reaction. At higher energies, the maximum is at q ? 0.85 fm?1, in agreement with simple sequential scattering models, but a lower energies it is at q ? 0.5 fm?1, with the transition occuring over a narrow energy range.  相似文献

Effects of nucleon polarization on the nuclear charge operator have been evaluated in a constituent quark model. At momentum transfer q ≈ 4 fm?1 monopole, dipole and quadrupole excitations are of equal importance. In a harmonic oscillator model for 3He all multipolarities give negative contributions, leading to an overall contribution comparable to the relativistic pair effect. The influence of realistic wave functions, coupling constants and off-shell form factors is discussed.  相似文献

The Deser, Gilbert, Sudarshan representation (D.G.S.R.) for the functions Wi(ν, q2) (i = 1,2) is considered as equations determining spectral functions hi(a, α) via the values Wi(ν, q2) in the physical region of the electroproduction channel. It is shown that if Wi(ν, q2) obey the microcausality and spectrality conditions, then the equations for hi(a, α) have solutions in the class of Schwartz temperated distributions and thereby the D.G.S.R. is proved. Formulae are obtained expressing spectral functions in the D.G.S.R. through the values of functions Wi(ν, q2) in the physical region of the electroproduction channel.  相似文献

High statistics data for the reactions K±p → KS0π±p at 10 GeV/c are analysed. The K1(1?), K1(2+), and K1(3?) resonance parameters and production cross sections are calculated. The Kπ production amplitudes are determined as a function of t and the produced Kπ mass. Isoscalar natural-parity-exchange (NPE) is dominant. The t dependence of the K± NPE amplitudes have a cross-over at t = ?0.3 (GeV/c)2 for both K1(890) and K1(1420) production, being more pronounced for the K1(1420). Natural-parity-exchange interference effects are isolated. The NPE amplitudes are decomposed into pomeron-, f-, and ω-exchange contributions. S-wave Kπ production is found to be consistent with the Kπ partial-wave analyses of charge-exchange reactions.  相似文献

The structure of dual amplitudes (beta functions) suggests that in non-exotic channels one should add to the usual Regge terms a second term which drops off as exp (?π Im α(s)) at large s but which is important for s?5 GeV2. This “dual correction” multiplies the usual Regge imaginary part by an oscillating complex factor. With inclusion of such extra terms, it is possible to match πp amplitudes from phase-shift analyses significantly better than if the terms are omitted. The partial waves of a modified fit using the leading N, Δ, ?, f trajectories with a fixed-pole pomeron show much more of the correct resonant structure than do those of an unmodified fit.  相似文献

The form factor for excitation of the 1+ state at 3.48 MeV in88Sr by inelastic electron scattering has been measured for momentum transfersq=0.24–0.62 fm?1. Neither its magnitude nor shape can be described employing the best available nuclear wave functions. We demonstrate with a schematic model that the observed reduction of the form factor may be understood by taking into account a renormalization of theM1-operator due to virtualΔ-hole excitations.  相似文献

The electromagnetic form factors for pions and nucleons are considered within the model of quark-gluon strings, where the momentum-transfer dependence of hadronic form factors is determined by the intercepts of the corresponding Regge trajectories and by the Sudakov form factor. Analytic expressions found for form factors in the timelike region admit an analytic continuation to the spacelike region. The resulting form factors for pions and nucleons comply well with experimental data both for positive and for negative values of the squared momentum transfer q 2. It is shown that the distinctions between the absolute values of the pion and nucleon form factors F π(q 2), G m (q 2), and F 2(q 2) at positive values of q 2 and those at negative values of this variable are associated with the analytic properties of the double-logarithmic term in the exponent of the Sudakov form factor. The spin structure of the amplitudes for quark transitions into hadrons that is proposed in the present study makes it possible to describe fairly well available experimental data on the Pauli form factor F 2 and on the ratio G e /G m .  相似文献

The far-infrared spectrum of tetrahydrothiophene is reinvestigated with a resolution of 0.12 cm?1 in the region of 50–350 cm?1. In addition to the bend transitions (νb) below 120 cm?1 reported previously, a number of sequences revealed by the improved resolution are observed for the first time and assigned to transitions of 2νb, of the twist (νt), and of difference combinations (νt - νb). Simple one-dimensional modeling of the twist sequence, which is derived from a self-consistent bend-twist energy level diagram, with a quadratic-quartic Hamiltonian suggests a barrier to planarity on the order of 4250 cm?1. A two-dimensional potential function in the dimensionless coordinates is found to be V(qb, qt) = ?249.6qb2 + 4.48qb4 ? 215.5qt2 + 2.73qt4 + 7.00qb2qt2.  相似文献
