Anelli Henseliani topologici - II

Summary In the present work we study some problems about henselian triples and henselization which have been introduced in our article [18]. Mainly we prove that henselian triples coincide with strong henselian triples and give a new formulation of the Hensel lemma, stronger than that we gave in [18]. Then we investigate some properties of henselian triples (changement of ideal or of topology, ecc.) and prove commutativity with quotient.

Summary In this paper, using the theory of henselian rings and in particular the notion of henselian and strict henselian couples, we study the behaviour of analytic branches of an affine algebraic variety at a point x, when x varies along a singular subvariety; moreover we construct an algebraic and canonical procedure, which parametrises the branches.

Su una nuova impostazione per l’analisi dei sistemi ereditari

Riassunto L’uso di relazioni ereditarie con memoria infinita comporta la conoscenza della ?storia? di grandezze fisiche nell’intervallo (— ∞,t]. Nel presente lavoro, prendendo in considerazione inizialmente il caso lineare, si reimpostano tali relazioni ereditarie introducendo la nozione di ?stato? del sistema definito in termini di quantità osservabili in un intervallo finito. Nell’ultima parte si dà un’estensione del procedimento a casi non lineari.

Summary The hereditary relations with infinite memory imply the knowledge of the ?history? of physical quantities in the intervals (— ∞,t]. In this paper a new approach is given for these hereditary relations, in the linear case, by means of the notion of ?state? of the system. The state is introduced in terms of quantities which are defined in finite intervals. In the last part an extention to nonlinear cases is given.

Riassunto Si indicano una costruzione e alcune proprietà del morfismo terminale nella categoria degli epimorfismi iniettivi di dato dominioA, conA anello commutativo unitario ridotto. Si considerano poi certi epimorfismi di dominioA, detti ?S-spezzamenti irriducibili? (S⊂A). GliS-spezzamenti irriducibili a codominio ridotto risultano parametrizzati (a meno di isomorfismi) dai chiusi di una opportuna topologia su SpecA.

Summary LetA be any reduced commutative ring with 1. Consider the category of injective ring-epimorphisms with domainA. In the first part of this paper, a construction and some properties of a final morphism in the above category are shown. In the second part, some special epimorphisms with domainA are considered, which are called irreducible ?S-spezzamenti?. A parametrization of the collection of irreducible ?S-spezzamenti? (up to isomorphisms) is given, by the collection of closed sets of a suitable topology on SpecA.

Sul luogo di Gorenstein di un anello

Riassunto In questo lavoro viene data una nuova dimostrazione del fatto che il luogo di Gorenstein di un anello di Cohen-MacaulayA che sia immagine omomorfa di un anello di Gorenstein è aperto. La presente dimostrazione permette di dare esplicitamente l'ideale a ⊂A la cui varietà è il luogo non di Gorenstein diA. Si studia inoltre il comportamento del luogo di Gorenstein rispetto a certi omomorfismi di anelli.

Summary In this paper we give a new proof of the fact that the Gorenstein locus of a Cohen-Macaulay ringA which is homomorphic image of a Gorenstein ring is open, this describing explicitly the ideal a⊂A whose variety gives the non-Gorenstein locus ofA. Also, we study the Gorenstein locus behaviour with respect to certain ring homormorphisms.

Summary We give some characterizations of noetherian domains A such that ? every irreducible element generates a primary ideal ?. This condition, called (α)-property, is equivalent to the unique factorization if A is normal or a polynomial ring A=B[T]. If A is a1-dimensional k-algebra, the property (α) is equivalent to the vanishing of some Picard groups asPicA,Pic (A[T, T⁻¹]),Pic (A|T|_s), where S={Tⁿ, n εZ}. We give not trivial examples of (α)-rings which aren’t factorial.

Sur l’annulation du deuxième foncteur de (co)homologie d’André-Quillen

For a given idealI of a commutative ringA, B=A/I, the vanishing of the second André-Quillen (co)homology functorH ₂ (A, B, δ) is characterized in terms of the canonical homomorphism α:S(I)→R(I) from the symmetric algebra of the idealI onto its Rees algebra. This is done by introducing a Koszul complex that characterizes commutative graded algebras which are symmetric algebras.

Summary Regularity theorems inL ^{2, θ} (ω, δ) spaces are proved for weak solutions of quasielliptic differential equations. In particular, regularization results are obtained in the class of holder continuous functions (with respect to a suitable metric related to the operator). As a consequence, we obtain results and estimates in L^p andL ^{p, θ} spaces for the solution of the Dirichlet problem.

Summary We determine the relations between the topologies induced by modules of characters and theE-compactifications for modules over noetherian rings; we consider, in particular, thel-compactifications (=E-compactifications which are linearly compact) and the linear compactifications. We state some necessary and sufficient conditions so that the Ω-adic topology is a topology induced by a module of characters.

Su alcune algebre caratteristiche nella teoria dei getti

Summary N. Teleman’s definition of ? characteristic algebra of a Lie algebra extension ? is applied to two classical exact sequences of the theory of the jets, which are of interest in the theory of higher order connections. In the first case, the resulting characteristic algebras are shown to coincide with the ordinary characteristic algebras of the bundles (with connected structure group) of higher order frames on a manifold, and not to depend on the order of the jets. For the second case, the characteristic algebras are proved to be alwaysℝ.

Summary We study the wave propagation which takes place in a linear-viscoelastic model under the action of prefixed mass forces and of boundary data. The solution of this problem is expressed by means of a particular Neumaun's series. The asymptotic analysis of it shows the existence of a boundary-layer region fort→∞ when very ?small? characteristic relaxation times occur.

Problemi al contorno con condizioni omogenee per le equazioni quasi-ellittiche

Summary We are concerned with non-variational boundary value problems, with omogeneus boundary conditions, for linear partial differential equations of quasi-elliptic type in a bounded domain Θ in Rⁿ. It is well known that some of difficulties which arise in treating such problems, in comparison with ? regular ? elliptic problems, are connected with the presence of angular points in Θ: let us point out withB. Pini [32] that ? a bounded domain for which it is possible to assign a correct boundary value problem for a quasi-elliptic but not elliptic equation always has angular points ?. We suppose Θ is a cartesian product of a finite number of open sets and, in order to overcome the difficulties attached to the presence of angular points in Θ, taking as a model the two previous papers[33], [34] devoted to elliptic problems with singular data, we investigate the problem within suitable Sobolev weight spaces, connected with the angular points of Θ and included in the ones we have studied in[35]. Within such spaces we get existence and uniqueness theorems.

Sugli omomorfismi quasi étale e gli anelli eccellenti

Summary In this paper we define quasi étale ring homomorphisms, as a generalization of étale ones, and we show that if ϕ: A→B is a quasi étale homomorphism of noetherian rings, and A is excellent, then B is excellent. The converse is not always true; however we show that if ϕ is faithfully flat and regular (in particular qnasi étale), if A is universally catenarian and B is excellent, then A is excellent. The above statements can be applied when B is the henselization of A with respect to an ideal; and from this it follows that a Hensel pair is a direct limit of excellent ones.

Proprietà spettrali di una classe di operatori quasi ellittici

Riassunto In questo lavoro ci occupiamo di problemi al contorno per una classe di operatori lineari quasi ellittici del tipoA+σ, dove σ è una perturbazione assegnata; proviamo che l'operatore associato al problema è di Fredholm con indice zero e studiamo le proprietà spettrali dell'operatore associato al problema con condizioni al contorno omogenee.

Summary In this paper we study boundary value problems for linear quasi elliptic (A+σ)-type operators, where σ is an assigned perturbation; we prove that the related operator is a Fredholm operator whose index is zero. Then we study spectral properties of the operator related to the problem with homogeneous boundary conditions.

Nearly exotic topologies on normed spaces

It is proved that for every infinite dimensional normed space (E, ‖ ‖) there is a non-trivial linear space topologyτ onE which is weaker than the norm topology and is such that (E, τ) admits no non-trivial continuous linear functionals. IfE is a space with a generalized basis or is aC(X) space, it is proved that the topologyτ can be taken to be Hausdorff.

Riassunto In questo lavoro viene studiato l'insieme dei moltiplicatori diH ^1,2(Ω) con Ω aperto diR ⁿ. Nella prima parte vengono analizzate alcune proprietà di struttura dello spazio dei moltiplicatori, nella seconda viene data una caratterizzazione degli elementi di tale spazio.
