Log Gromov-Witten invariants have recently been defined separately by Gross and Siebert and Abramovich and Chen. This paper provides a dictionary between log geometry and holomorphic exploded manifolds in order to compare Gromov-Witten invariants defined using exploded manifolds or log schemes. The gluing formula for Gromov-Witten invariants of exploded manifolds suggests an approach to proving analogous gluing formulas for log Gromov-Witten invariants. 相似文献

Motivated by the Mariño-Vafa formula of Hodge integrals and physicists' predictions on local Gromov-Witten invariants of toric Fano surfaces in a Calabi-Yau threefold, the third author conjectured a formula of certain Hodge integrals in terms of certain Chern-Simons invariants of the Hopf link. We prove this formula by virtual localization on moduli spaces of relative stable morphisms.

This is the first of two papers which construct a purely algebraic counterpart to the theory of Gromov-Witten invariants (at all genera). These Gromov-Witten type invariants depend on a Calabi-Yau A∞ category, which plays the role of the target in ordinary Gromov-Witten theory. When we use an appropriate A∞ version of the derived category of coherent sheaves on a Calabi-Yau variety, this constructs the B model at all genera. When the Fukaya category of a compact symplectic manifold X is used, it is shown, under certain assumptions, that the usual Gromov-Witten invariants are recovered. The assumptions are that open-closed Gromov-Witten theory can be constructed for X, and that the natural map from the Hochschild homology of the Fukaya category of X to the ordinary homology of X is an isomorphism. 相似文献

Let X be a smooth complex projective variety, and let be a smooth very ample hypersurface such that is nef. Using the technique of relative Gromov-Witten invariants, we give a new short and geometric proof of (a version of)
the “mirror formula”, i.e. we show that the generating function of the genus zero 1-point Gromov-Witten invariants of Y can be obtained from that of X by a certain change of variables (the so-called “mirror transformation”). Moreover, we use the same techniques to give a
similar expression for the (virtual) numbers of degree-d plane rational curves meeting a smooth cubic at one point with multiplicity 3d, which play a role in local mirror symmetry.

In this paper we introduce invariants of semi-free Hamiltonian actions of S1 on compact symplectic manifolds using the space of solutions to certain gauge theoretical equations. These equations generalise both the vortex equations and the holomorphicity equation used in Gromov-Witten theory. In the definition of the invariants we combine ideas coming from gauge theory and the ideas underlying the construction of Gromov-Witten invariants. 相似文献

We study relative Gromov-Witten theory via universal relations provided by the degeneration and localization formulas. We find relative Gromov-Witten theory is completely determined by absolute Gromov-Witten theory. The relationship between the relative and absolute theories is guided by a strong analogy to classical topology.As an outcome, we present a mathematical determination of the Gromov-Witten invariants (in all genera) of the Calabi-Yau quintic 3-fold in terms of known theories. 相似文献

In this paper, we define the virtual moduli cycle of moduli spaces with perfect tangent-obstruction theory. The two interesting moduli spaces of this type are moduli spaces of vector bundles over surfaces and moduli spaces of stable morphisms from curves to projective varieties. As an application, we define the Gromov-Witten invariants of smooth projective varieties and prove all its basic properties.

We give some new genus-3 universal equations for Gromov-Witten invariants of compact symplectic manifolds. These equations were obtained by studying relations in the tautological ring of the moduli space of2-pointed genus-3 stable curves. Let B be a line or a smooth conic in 2. We give a recursive formula for certain linear combinations of the genus 0 relative Gromov-Witten invariants of (2,B). After change of sign, this is equivalent to the WDVV equation for the equivariant local Gromov-Witten invariants of 2 in ᵊA(–B). We show that these invariants coincide up to sign.

Floor diagrams are combinatorial objects which organize the count of tropical plane curves satisfying point conditions. In this paper we introduce Psi-floor diagrams which count tropical curves satisfying not only point conditions but also conditions given by Psi-classes (together with points). We then generalize our definition to relative Psi-floor diagrams and prove a Caporaso-Harris type formula for the corresponding numbers. This formula is shown to coincide with the classical Caporaso-Harris formula for relative plane descendant Gromov-Witten invariants. As a consequence, we can conclude that in our case relative descendant Gromov-Witten invariants equal their tropical counterparts. 相似文献

In this article, using the WDVV equation,the author first proves that all Gromov-Witten invariants of blowups of surfaces can be computed from the Gromov-Witten invariants of itself by some recursive relations. Homotopy classes of nanowords and nanophrases are combinatorial generalizations of virtual knots and links. Goussarov, Polyak and Viro defined finite type invariants for virtual knots and links via semi-virtual crossings. We extend their definition to nanowords and nanophrases. We study finite type invariants of low degrees. In particular, we show that the linking matrix and T invariant defined by Fukunaga are finite type of degree 1 and degree 2 respectively. We also give a finite type invariant of degree 4 for open homotopy of Gauss words. 相似文献

For a nonsingular projective 3-fold X, we define integer invariants virtually enumerating pairs (C,D) where C⊂X is an embedded curve and D⊂C is a divisor. A virtual class is constructed on the associated moduli space by viewing a pair as an object in the derived
category of X. The resulting invariants are conjecturally equivalent, after universal transformations, to both the Gromov-Witten and DT
theories of X. For Calabi-Yau 3-folds, the latter equivalence should be viewed as a wall-crossing formula in the derived category.
Several calculations of the new invariants are carried out. In the Fano case, the local contributions of nonsingular embedded
curves are found. In the local toric Calabi-Yau case, a completely new form of the topological vertex is described. 相似文献
