The following scenario is proposed for supersymmetric QCD: With massless (s) quarks, there is a continuum of vacua, including one with all global symmetries unbroken; with (s) quarks of mass m, there is a unique vacuum, no Goldstone bosons, but a rich spectrum of scalars and fermions of mass O(m). Consistency with various non-perturbative requirements is exhibited.  相似文献

A mechanism is suggested to resolve the problem of doublet-triplet hierarchy in the SU(5) SUSY GUT. In this mechanism, which we call “GIFT” (“Goldstones instead of fine tuning”), the doublets are pseudo-Goldstone bosons of a certain broken global symmetry of the superpotential. With supergravity as the source of SUSY breaking we show that the SU(2)L×U(1)Y→U(1)em breaking as well as the mass of the lightest Higgs boson are due to the radiative corrections.  相似文献

The sum rules analysis for SU(N) SUSY gluodynamics is presented, concerning scalar, pseudoscalar and spinor channels. The spectrum obtained is characterized by a relatively dense disposition of excitations. The applicability of the effective lagrangian method to the study of resonance properties is thus made doubtful. Some new non-trivial relations between condensates in the SUSY vacuum are also presented.  相似文献

SUSY Confinement
In response to the present status that searching for SUSY particles has been unsuccessful, we propose a bold scenario that SUSY particles are confined inside hadrons with a required condition of PR=1 in analog to the color confinement for quarks. The scenario seems to be able to reconcile the beautiful SUSY theory and non-observation at present experiments. On other aspects, some loopholes in the proposal emerge and require to be answered in the future research.  相似文献

We prove a positive mass theorem for spaces which asymptotically approach a flat Euclidean space times a Calabi-Yau manifold (or any special honolomy manifold except the quaternionic Kähler). This is motivated by the very recent work of Hertog-Horowitz-Maeda [HHM].  相似文献

In this short note, we prove a generalized positive energy theorem for spaces with asymptotic SUSY compactification involving non-symmetric data. This work is motivated by the work of Dai [A positive mass theorem for spaces with asymptotic SUSY compactification, Comm. Math. Phys. 244 (2004) 335–345; A note on positive energy theorem for spaces with asymptotic SUSY compactification, 2004. arXiv:math-ph/0406006], Hertog–Horowitz–Maeda [Negative energy density in Calabi–Yau compactifications, JHEP 0305 (2003) 060], and Zhang [Angular momentum and positive mass theorem, Comm. The DELPHI experiment at the LEP e + e- collider collected almost 700 pb-1 at centre-of-mass energies above the Z0 mass pole and up to 208 GeV. Those data were used to search for SUSY in the Anomaly Mediated SUSY Breaking (AMSB) scenario with a flavour independent common sfermion mass parameter. The searches covered several possible signatures experimentally accessible at LEP, with either the neutralino, the sneutrino or the stau being the Lightest Supersymmetric Particle (LSP). They included: the search for nearly mass-degenerate chargino and neutralino, which is a typical feature of AMSB; the search for Standard-Model-like or invisibly decaying Higgs boson; the search for stable staus; the search for cascade decays of SUSY particles resulting in the LSP and a low multiplicity final state containing neutrinos. No evidence of a signal was found, and thus constraints were set in the space of the parameters of the model.Received: 3 September 2003, Revised: 3 February 2004, Published online: 9 March 2004  相似文献

We construct a two-parameter deformed SUSY algebra for the system of n ordinary fermions and n(q 1,q 2)-deformed bosons called Fibonacci oscillators with -symmetry. We then analyze the Fock space representation of the algebra constructed. We obtain the total deformed Hamiltonian and the energy levels together with their degeneracies for the system. We also consider some physical applications of the Fibonacci oscillators with -symmetry, and discuss the main reasons to consider two distinct deformation parameters.  相似文献

The evolution of SUSY GUT model building is discussed, starting with the construction of 4D GUTs, to orbifold GUTs and finally to orbifold GUTs, within the heterotic string model. This evolution is an attempt to obtain realistic string models, perhaps relevant for the LHC. This review is in memory of the sudden loss of Julius Wess, a leader in the field, who will be sorely missed. Dedicated to the memory of Julius Wess.  相似文献

SUSY at the LHC

Despite the absence of experimental evidence, weak scale supersymmetry remains one of the best motivated and studied Standard Model extensions. The ATLAS experiment at the LHC searches for signs of supersymmetry in a large variety of signatures involving events with abnormal production of missing transverse momentum, jets, leptons, third generation fermions, gauge bosons or massive long-lived particles. A summary of the most recent results obtained in these searches is presented.  相似文献

Using first- and second-order supersymmetric Darboüx formalism and starting with symmetric double well potential barrier we have obtained a class of exactly solvable potentials subject to moving boundary condition. The eigenstates are also obtained by the same technique.  相似文献

We construct a SUSY electroweak model with superweak R-parity violation. The scale of R-parity violation in our model is determined by the Majorana mass of the neutrino and is very small, leading to the existence of a long-lived (TO(10−4) sec) lightest superparticle. If the lightest superparticle is a right-handed charged slepton, as can occur within the gaugino-dominated scenario, then the phenomenology of such a model differs in a drastic way from the standard SUSY phenomenology; in particular, long-lived charged sleptons can form bound states with ordinary matter—quasistable supermatter (SUSY analogs of mu-atoms and muonium). We also discuss possible manifestations of the existence of such a long-lived charged particle at LEP2, TEVATRON and LHC. Pis’ma Zh. éksp. Teor.
