The excess 1/f noise in a random lattice with bond resistances r∼exp(−λx), where x is a random variable and λ≪1, is studied theoretically. It is shown that if the correlation function {δr 2}∼r r θ+2, then the relative spectral density of the noise in the system is expressed as C e∼λm exp(−λ(1−p c)), where p c is the percolation threshold and md (ν is the critical exponent of the correlation length and d is the dimensionality of the problem). It is hypothesized that the exponent m possesses a dual universality: It is independent of 1) the geometry of the lattice and 2) the θ-mechanism responsible for the generation of the local noise. We present two rotating black hole solutions with axion ξ, dilaton f{\phi} and two U(1) vector fields. Starting from a non-rotating metric with three arbitrary parameters, which we have found previously, and applying the “Newman–Janis complex coordinate trick” we get a rotating metric g μν with four arbitrary parameters namely the mass M, the rotation parameter a and the charges electric Q E and magnetic Q M . Then we find a solution of the equations of motion having this g μν as metric. Our solution is asymptotically flat and has angular momentum J = M a, gyromagnetic ratio g = 2, two horizons, the singularities of the solution of Kerr, axion and dilaton singular only when r = a cos θ = 0 etc. By applying to our solution the S-duality transformation we get a new solution, whose axion, dilaton and vector fields have one more parameter. The metrics, the vector fields and the quantity l = x+ie-2f{\lambda=\xi+ie^{-2\phi}} of our solutions and the solution of: Sen for Q E , Sen for Q E and Q M , Kerr–Newman for Q E and Q M , Kerr, Reference Kyriakopoulos [Class. Quantum Grav. 23:7591, 2006, Eqs. (54–57)], Shapere, Trivedi and Wilczek, Gibbons–Maeda–Garfinkle–Horowitz–Strominger, Reissner–Nordstr?m, Schwarzschild are the same function of a, and two functions ρ 2 = r(r + b) + a 2 cos2 θ and Δ = r(r + b) − 2Mr + a 2 + c, of a, b and two functions for each vector field, and of a, b and d respectively, where a, b, c and d are constants. From our solutions several known solutions can be obtained for certain values of their parameters. It is shown that our two solutions satisfy the weak the dominant and the strong energy conditions outside and on the outer horizon and that all solutions with a metric of our form, whose parameters satisfy some relations satisfy also these energy conditions outside and on the outer horizon. This happens to all solutions given in the “Appendix”. Mass formulae for our solutions and for all solutions which are mentioned in the paper are given. One mass formula for each solution is of Smarr’s type and another a differential mass formula. Many solutions with metric, vector fields and λ of the same functional form, which include most physically interesting and well known solutions, are listed in an “Appendix”.  相似文献

Radiowave scattering by a two-layered medium with a rough boundary is studied in the Kirchhoff approximation. We consider the case of oblique incidence of waves and mean square heights of the upper boundary roughnesses, which are nonsmall compared with the wavelength λ. An analytical expression and the conditions under which P1 turns out to be large are derived for the term P1 of the two-frequency correlation function P = (Em(w1)En(w2)), which is proportional to the first degree of the coefficient of reflection from the lower boundary. Such effect is shown to emerge only for the resonant frequency relation. In particular, the following resonant relationship is written for the mirror reflection direction: w2,1(√ε-sin2θ/cosθ-1), where θ is the incidence angle and ε is the layer permittivity. We explore a novel possibility for lowering the solar mixing angle (θ 12) from tri-bimaximal mixings, without sacrificing the predictions of maximal atmospheric mixing angle (θ 23 = 45°) and zero reactor angle (θ 13 = 0°) in the inverted and normal hierarchical neutrino mass models having 2–3 symmetry. This can be done through the identification of a flavour twister term in the texture of neutrino mass matrix and the variation of such term leads to lowering of solar mixing angle. For the observed ranges of Δm 212 and Δm 232, we calculate the predictions on tan2 θ 12 = 0.5, 0.45, 0.35 for different input values of the parameters in the neutrino mass matrix. We also observe a possible transition from inverted hierarchical model having even CP parity (Type-IHA) to inverted hierarchical model having odd CP parity (Type-IHB) in the first two mass eigenvalues, when there is a change in input values of parameters in the same mass matrix. The present work differs from the conventional approaches for the deviations from tri-bimaximal mixing, where the 2–3 symmetry is broken, leading to θ 23 ≠ 45° and θ 13 ≠ 0°.   相似文献

Employing the quasi-classical trajectory method and the potential energy surface of Panda and Sathyamurhy [Panda A N and Sathyamurthy N 2004 J. Chem. Phys. 121 9343], the effect of the reagent vibration on vector correlation of the ion-molecule reactions D- + H2 and H- + D2 is studied at a collision energy of 35.7 kcal/mol. Four generalized polarization-dependent differential cross sections (2π/σ)(dσ00/dωt),(2π/σ)(dσ20/dωt),(2π/σ)(dσ22/dωt), and (2π/σ)(dσ20/dωt) are presented in the centre-of-mass reference frame, separately. At the same time, the effects on the product angular distributions P(θr), P(φr) and P(θrr) of the title reactions are also analysed. The calculated results show that the scattering tendencies of the product HD, the alignment and the orientation of j' sensitively depend on reagent molecule vibration.  相似文献

Avalanche in the chute has been studied to examine how the sizes of granules affect the angle of repose θ r when the width of the chute is fixed. The results show that the angle of repose in the chute has exponential decay with λ, which is the reciprocal of granular diameter d. The fluctuation of the angle of repose is also studied during the chute being tilted, and the results indicate that the fluctuation of the angle of repose increases with the increase of granular diameter d. It is suggested that the strength of nuclear colour van der Waals interaction, if present, can be determined by measuring deviations from Rutherford scattering of charged hadrons from nuclei, at energies well below the Coulomb barrier. Experimental limit on the strength of such a potential is obtained asλ<50, when the colour van der Waals potential is given byV(r)=λ(hc/r 0)(r 0/r)7, withr 0, the scaling length, taken as 1 fm. This limit is obtained from an analysis of existing experiments and by performing scattering experiments of 3–4.6 MeV protons from a208Pb target.  相似文献

Magnetoresistivity ρ xx and ρ xy and the acoustoelectronic effects are measured in p-Si/SiGe/Si with an impurity concentration p = 1.99 × 1011 cm−2 in the temperature range 0.3–2.0 K and an tilted magnetic field up to 18 T. The dependence of the effective g factor on the angle of magnetic field tilt θ to the normal to the plane of a two-dimensional p-Si/SiGe/Si channel is determined. A first-order ferromagnet-paramagnet phase transition is observed in the magnetic fields corresponding to a filling factor ν = 2 at θ ≈ 59°–60°.  相似文献

An original set-up is used to study the adhesive properties of two hemispherical soap bubbles put into contact. The contact angle at the line connecting the three films is extracted by image analysis of the bubbles profiles. After the initial contact, the angle rapidly reaches a static value slightly larger than the standard 120° angle expected from Plateau rule. This deviation is consistent with previous experimental and theoretical studies: it can be quantitatively predicted by taking into account the finite size of the Plateau border (the liquid volume trapped at the vertex) in the free energy minimization. The visco-elastic adhesion properties of the bubbles are further explored by measuring the deviation Δθd(t) of the contact angle from the static value as the distance between the two bubbles supports is sinusoidally modulated. It is found to linearly increase with Δr c/r c , where rc is the radius of the central film and Δr c the amplitude of modulation of this length induced by the displacement of the supports. The in-phase and out-of-phase components of Δθd(t) with the imposed modulation frequency are systematically probed, which reveals a transition from a viscous to an elastic response of the system with a crossover pulsation of the order 1rad · s^-1. Independent interfacial rheological measurements, obtained from an oscillating bubble experiment, allow us to develop a model of dynamic adhesion which is confronted to our experimental results. The relevance of such adhesive dynamic properties to the rheology of foams is briefly discussed using a perturbative approach to the Princen 2D model of foams.  相似文献

By using the second-order moment of the power density, the beam width, far-field divergence angle and M2 factor of nonparaxial truncated flattened Gaussian (FG) beams are derived analytically. It is shown that the M2 factor of nonparaxial truncated FG beams depends not only on the truncation parameter δ and beam order N, but also on the initial waist-width to wavelength ratio w0/λ. The far-field divergence angle approaches an asymptotic value of θmax=63.435° when the truncation parameter δ → 0. For the special cases of N = 0 and δ → ∞ our results reduce to those of nonparaxial truncated Gaussian beams and nonparaxial untruncated FG beams, respectively.  相似文献

We consider advection of a passive scalar θ(t,r) by an incompressible large-scale turbulent flow. We have studied multiple regressions between the spectral aerosol extinction coefficient ε, backscatter indicatrix gπ, and light-scattering coefficients βθ at angles of θ = 1–180°, which we used to select the optimal scattering angle for determining the extinction coefficient at the wavelengths 0.350, 0.532, and 1.060 μm. We have estimated the errors in determination of the values of ε and gπ at the given wavelengths for different atmospheric situations with different meteorological parameters. We have shown that it is possible to use the spectral βθ values at a 33° angle to determine the reference values for ε(λ) and gπ(λ) at λ = 0.350, 0.532, and 1.060 μm in laser detection and ranging (lidar) measurements, and we give examples of recovering the vertical profiles of ε in a slightly turbid atmosphere from the results of simultaneous multiwavelength lidar and nephelometric measurements. __________ Translated from Zhurnal Prikladnoi Spektroskopii, Vol. 74, No. 6, pp. 767–772, November–December, 2007.  相似文献

We examine the effects of mixing induced light heavy charged lepton neutral currents on the partial wave amplitude for the process l+lZZ (withl = e,μ or τ). By imposing the constraints that the amplitude should not exceed the perturbative unitarity limit at high energy (√s = Λ), we obtain bounds on light heavy charged lepton mixing parameter sin2(2θ L a ) where θ L a is the mixing angle of the ordinary charged lepton with its exotic partner. For Λ = 1 TeV, no bound is obtained on sin2 (2θ L a ) form E < 0.69 TeV. However, sin2 (2θ L a ) ≤ 1.52×10−5 form E = 5 TeV, sin2 (2θ L a ) ≤ 2.41 ×10−7 form E = 10 TeV. Similarity for Λ = ∞ no bound is obtained on sin2 (2θ L a ) for mE < 1.97 TeV and sin2 (2θ L a ) ≤ 0.15 form E = 5 TeV and sin2 (2θ L a ) ≤ 3.88×10-2 form E = 10 TeV.  相似文献

Collinear laser spectroscopy experiments on the ScII transition 3d4s 3D2→3d4p 3F3 at λ ≈ 363.1 nm were performed on the 42–46Sc isotopic chain using an ion guide isotope separator with a cooler–buncher. Isotope and isomer shifts and hyperfine structures of five ground states and two isomers were measured. Preliminary results on the nuclear moments and charge radii changes deduced from these measurements are reported.  相似文献

Experiments on the study of the muon catalyzed fusion (μCF) process in a double D/T mixture of hydrogen isotopes in the temperature range 300–800 K at densities 0.3–0.5 LHD are performed at the JINR phasotron. The values of the effective μCF parameters (cycling rate λ c , neutron yield Y n , muon losses w) are obtained. Tentative dtμ-molecule formation rates on D2 and DT molecules (λ dtμ−d and λ dtμ−t ) are obtained for different mixture temperatures and densities. The results obtained show that λ dtμ−t increases with temperature, but its value is smaller than theoretical predictions. In the temperature range of T = 150–400 K, the dependence of spectral widths (cm−1) on temperature, 182 + 0.38(±0.01)T and 217 + 0.48(±0.01)T, respectively, has been obtained for dimole emission of O2(a, 0) + O2(a, 0) → O2(X, 1) + O2(X, 0) + hν (λ = 703 nm) and O2(a, 0) + O2(a, 0) → O2(X, 0) + O2(X, 0) + hν (λ = 634 nm). It was shown that the ratio of dimole emission rate constants does not depend on temperature in the range of 150–400 K and is 1.06 ± 0.01.  相似文献

The paper considers macroscopic behavior of a Fermi–Dirac particle system. We prove the L 1-compactness of velocity averages of weak solutions of the Boltzmann equation for Fermi–Dirac particles in a periodic box with the collision kernel b(cos θ)|ρρ *|γ, which corresponds to very soft potentials: −5 < γ ≤ −3 with a weak angular cutoff: ∫0 π b(cos θ)sin 3θ dθ < ∞. Our proof for the averaging compactness is based on the entropy inequality, Hausdorff–Young inequality, the L -bounds of the solutions, and a specific property of the value-range of the exponent γ. Once such an averaging compactness is proven, the proof of the existence of weak solutions will be relatively easy.  相似文献
