Let (M n , g) be a compact Kähler manifold with nonpositive bisectional curvature. We show that a finite cover is biholomorphic and isometric to a flat torus bundle over a compact Kähler manifold N k with c 1 <  0. This confirms a conjecture of Yau. As a corollary, for any compact Kähler manifold with nonpositive bisectional curvature, the Kodaira dimension is equal to the maximal rank of the Ricci tensor. We also prove a global splitting result under the assumption of certain immersed complex submanifolds.  相似文献

First, we generalize a rigidity result for harmonic maps of Gordon (Gordon (1972) Proc AM Math Soc 33: 433–437) to generalized pluriharmonic maps. We give the construction of generalized pluriharmonic maps from metric tt *-bundles over nearly Kähler manifolds. An application of the last two results is that any metric tt *-bundle over a compact nearly Kähler manifold is trivial (Theorem A). This result we apply to special Kähler manifolds to show that any compact special Kähler manifold is trivial. This is Lu’s theorem (Lu (1999) Math Ann 313: 711–713) for the case of compact special Kähler manifolds. Further we introduce harmonic bundles over nearly Kähler manifolds and study the implications of Theorem A for tt *-bundles coming from harmonic bundles over nearly Kähler manifolds.  相似文献

Let (M, g, J) be a compact Hermitian manifold and \(\Omega\) the fundamental 2-form of (g, J). A Hermitian manifold (M, g, J) is called a locally conformal Kähler manifold if there exists a closed 1-form α such that \(d\Omega=\alpha \wedge \Omega\) . The purpose of this paper is to give a completely classification of locally conformal Kähler nilmanifolds with left-invariant complex structures.  相似文献

If (N, ω, J, g) is an almost Kähler manifold andM is a branched minimal immersion which is not aJ-holomorphic curve, we show that the complex tangents are isolated and that each has a negative index, which extends the results in the Kähler case by S. S. Chern and J. Wolfson [2] and S. Webster [7] to almost Kähler manifolds. As an application, we get lower estimates for the genus of embedded minimal surfaces in almost Kähler manifolds. The proofs of these results are based on the well-known Cartan’s moving frame methods as in [2, 7]. In our case, we must compute the torsion of the almost complex structures and find a useful representation of torsion. Finally, we prove that the minimal surfaces in complex projective plane with any almost complex structure is aJ-holomorphic curve if it is homologous to the complex line.  相似文献

Canonical Foliations of Certain Classes of Almost Contact Metric Structures   总被引:1,自引:0,他引:1  
The purpose of this paper is to study the canonical foliations of an almost cosymplectic or almost Kenmotsu manifold M in a unified way. We prove that the canonical foliation F defined by the contact distribution is Riemannian and tangentially almost Kahler of codimension 1 and that F is tangentially Kahler if the manifold M is normal. Furthermore, we show that a semi-invariant submanifold N of such a manifold M admits a canonical foliation FN which is defined by the antiinvariant distribution and a canonical cohomology class c(N) generated by a transversal volume form for FN. In addition, we investigate the conditions when the even-dimensional cohomology classes of N are non-trivial. Finally, we compute the Godbillon Vey class for FN.  相似文献

Thehomotopical rank of a mapf:MN is, by definition, min{dimg(M) ¦g homotopic tof}. We give upper bounds for this invariant whenM is compact Kähler andN is a compact discrete quotient of a classical symmetric space, e.g., the space of positive definite matrices. In many cases the upper bound is sharp and is attained by geodesic immersions of locally hermitian symmetric spaces. An example is constructed (Section 9) to show that there do, in addition, exist harmonic maps of quite a different character. A byproduct is construction of an algebraic surface with large and interesting fundamental group. Finally, a criterion for lifting harmonic maps to holomorphic ones is given, as is a factorization theorem for representations of the fundamental group of a compact Kähler manifold. The technique for the main result is a combination of harmonic map theory, algebra, and combinatorics; it follows the path pioneered by Siu in his ridigity theorem and later extended by Sampson.  相似文献

In a given Kähler manifold (M,J) we introduce the notion of Kähler Frenet curves, which is closely related to the complex structure J of M. Using the notion of such curves, we characterize totally geodesic Kähler immersions of M into an ambient Kähler manifold and totally geodesic immersions of M into an ambient real space form of constant sectional curvature .  相似文献

The cohomology ring of any compact Kähler manifold gives rise to an ${SL(2, \mathbb{C})}$ -representation. In this short note, we show that the character of this representation essentially is the Poincaré polynomial of this Kähler manifold, which gives a natural interpretation of the Poincaré polynomial for Kähler manifolds. Our result is an analogue to an interpretation of the χ y genus for holomorphic symplectic manifolds due to George Thompson.  相似文献

Any pseudo-Hermitian or para-Hermitian manifold of dimension 4 admits a unique Kähler–Weyl structure; this structure is locally conformally Kähler if and only if the alternating Ricci tensor ρ a vanishes. The tensor ρ a takes values in a certain representation space. In this paper, we show that any algebraic possibility Ξ in this representation space can in fact be geometrically realized by a left-invariant Kähler–Weyl structure on a 4-dimensional Lie group in either the Hermitian or the para-Hermitian setting.  相似文献

We show that Lagrangian submanifolds in six-dimensional nearly Kähler (non-Kähler) manifolds and in twistor spaces Z 4n+2 over quaternionic Kähler manifolds Q 4n are minimal. Moreover, we prove that any Lagrangian submanifold L in a nearly Kähler manifold M splits into a product of two Lagrangian submanifolds for which one factor is Lagrangian in the strict nearly Kähler part of M and the other factor is Lagrangian in the Kähler part of M. Using this splitting theorem, we then describe Lagrangian submanifolds in nearly Kähler manifolds of dimensions six, eight, and ten.  相似文献

Let f be a meromorphic correspondence on a compact Kähler manifold. We show that the topological entropy of f is bounded from above by the logarithm of its maximal dynamical degree. We show that isotropic Lagrangian submanifolds in a 6-dimensional strict nearly Kähler manifold are totally geodesic. Moreover, under some weaker conditions, a complete classification of the J-isotropic Lagrangian submanifolds in the homogeneous nearly Kähler S3 × S3 is also obtained. Here, a Lagrangian submanifold is called J-isotropic, if there exists a function λ, such that g((?h)(v, v, v), Jv) = λ holds for all unit tangent vector v.  相似文献

A locally conformally Kähler (LCK) manifold is a complex manifold covered by a Kähler manifold, with the covering group acting by homotheties. We show that if such a compact manifold \(X\) admits a holomorphic submersion with positive-dimensional fibers at least one of which is of Kähler type, then \(X\) is globally conformally Kähler or biholomorphic, up to finite covers, to a small deformation of a Vaisman manifold (i.e., a mapping torus over a circle, with Sasakian fiber). As a consequence, we show that the product of a compact non-Kähler LCK and a compact Kähler manifold cannot carry a LCK metric.  相似文献

The Kähler geometry of the universal Teichmüller space and related infinite-dimensional Kähler manifolds is studied. The universal Teichmüller space T may be realized as an open subset in the complex Banach space of holomorphic quadratic differentials in the unit disc. The classical Teichmüller spaces T(G), where G is a Fuchsian group, are contained in T as complex Kähler submanifolds. The homogeneous spaces Diff+(S 1)/Möb(S 1) and Diff+(S 1)/S 1 of the diffeomorphism group Diff+(S 1) of the unit circle are closely related to T. They are Kähler Frechet manifolds that can be realized as coadjoint orbits of the Virasoro group (and exhaust all coadjoint orbits of this group that have the Kähler structure).  相似文献
