A nanohybrid sensor of nanosized TiO2-coated carbon black particles, prepared by sol-gel technology for the detection of NO2 gas, has been developed. The response of the electric resistance of the hybrid sensor to NO2 concentration is investigated, showing that the sensitivity of the hybrid sensor is raised as certain ratio of the TiO2 content in the sensor. Easy and cheap to fabricate, the hybrid TiO2/carbon black promises to be a practical sensor for detecting NO2 gas.  相似文献

This short communication presents our recent studies to implement numerical simulations for multi-phase flows on top-ranked supercomputer systems with distributed memory architecture. The numerical model is designed so as to make full use of the capacity of the hardware. Satisfactory scalability in terms of both the parallel speed-up rate and the size of the problem has been obtained on two high rank systems with massively parallel processors, the Earth Simulator (Earth simulator research center, Yokohama Kanagawa, Japan) and the TSUBAME (Tokyo Institute of Technology, Tokyo, Japan) supercomputers.  相似文献

By coupling natural boundary element method (NBEM) with FEM based on domain decomposition, the torsion problem of the square cross-sections bar with cracks have been studied, the stresses of the nodes of the cross-sections and the stress intensity factors have been calculated, and some distribution pictures of the stresses have been drawn. During computing, the effect of the relaxed factors to the convergence speed of the iterative method has been discussed. The results of the computation have confirmed the advantages of the NBEM and its coupling with the FEM. In this paper according to the results of a great quantity of tests and numerical calculations, it is pointed out that the surrounding rock with thickness of 1/3 span has mechanical characteristics of a thick flexural member in underground rock cave subjected to transverse blast loading. However, it approaches the stress state of free field outside country rock and the equation of thick plate theory under the loading of free field pressure may be applied to the solution of this problem. Therefore, the underground structure-country rock dynamic interaction may be described by dynamic equations of flexural members of thin plate and thick plate, which express linear and country rock respectively. The interaction force between the liner and country rock is expressed as contacting pressure function q(x, l). By solving system of simultaneous equations, the analytical solution for the dynamic analysis of arch-straight liner including elastic half space interaction effect is given and the analytical expression of function q(x, t) is obtained. This analytic solution will contribute to the study of some substantive problems of underground structure-medium dynamic interaction theoretically. 作为一种新的岩土工程数值计算方法,无网格伽辽金法具有局部化技术的无单元特性。该法与传统FEM相比,在精度和后处理等方面有着明显的计算优势。本文全面介绍了EFGM,并结合岩土工程领域中的土体固结变形问题,推导了EFGM的一维、二维固结问题的离散方程;同时对算例进行计算,将其结果与精确解和传统FEM解进行比较后,得出结论:精度是较高的,处理边界是准确的。尤其当与FEM联合使用时,既能发挥FEM的经验优质,又能体现EFGM的无网格特点,计算效果十分显著,因此,EFGM是FEM的有力补充。  相似文献

This is a report on the comparison between measurement data and predictions presented at the “Blind Test 3” Workshop organized jointly by Nowitech and Norcowe in Bergen, 10 and 11 December, 2013. A number of researchers were invited to predict the performances and the wake development behind two model wind turbines that have been extensively tested at the Department of Energy and Process Engineering, NTNU. The turbines were arranged in-line, but slightly offset so that the wake of the upstream turbine only interacted with roughly half the area swept by the second rotor. This is a common event in most wind parks and produces flow fields that are both complicated and harmful for the downstream turbine. As expected it turned out to be a difficult flow to predict.Contributions were received from five different groups using a range of methods, from fully resolved Reynolds averaged Computational Fluid Dynamics (CFD) models to Large Eddy Simulations (LES). The range of results was large but the overall trend is that the current methods predict the power generation as well as the thrust force reasonably well. But there is a large uncertainty in the prediction of the turbulence field in the wake. Hence, the LES method consistently performed better than the others.  相似文献

We present a systematic analysis of the eigenvalue problem associated with free vibrations of a finite piezoelectric body. The analysis is based on an abstract formulation of the three-dimensional theory of piezoelectricity. A series of fundamental properties of free vibrations of a piezoelectric body are proved concisely. Adsorbents that exhibit magnetic properties in addition to other required process-relevant characteristics open up new perspectives for the dry reduction and/or elimination of HES and other sulfur compounds from exhaust gases. These adsorbents eliminate the sulfur compounds from exhaust gases by virtue of their coatings and their magnetic property which makes it possible the use of magnetically assisted and stabilized fluidization in an externally applied magnetic field. In the present paper, the feasibility of the sorptive function of porous ceramic ferrimagnetic beads is ensured by sol-gel coating of zinc oxide without the formation of Zn-Fe-oxides and without considerable decrease of available pore volume. The results of material characterization by SEM, Auger electron spectroscopy, X-ray and mercury-porosity measurements and the loading capacity of a HES/N2 model gas are presented and discussed. A simple, yet accurate modified multi-scale method (MMSM) for an approximately analytical solution in nonlinear oscillators with two time scales under forced harmonic excitation is proposed. This method depends on the classical multi-scale method (MSM) and the method of variation of parameters. Assuming that the forced excitation is a constant, one could easily obtain the approximate analytical solution of the simplified system based on the traditional MSM. Then, this solution for the oscillator under forced harmonic excitation could be established after replacing the harmonic excitation by the constant excitation. To certify the correctness and precision of the proposed analytical method, the van der Pol system with two scales subject to slowly periodic excitation is investigated; this system presents rich dynamical phenomena such as spiking (SP), spiking-quiescence (SP-QS), and quiescence (QS) responses. The approximate analytical expressions of the three types of responses are given by the MMSM, and it can be found that the precision of the new analytical method is higher than that of the classical MSM and better than that of the harmonic balance method (HBM). The results obtained by the present method are considerably better than those obtained by traditional methods, quantitatively and qualitatively, particularly when the excitation frequency is far less than the natural frequency of the system.  相似文献

An analytic method is developed for the derivation of a series of tensor identities that include Rivlins identities as a special case. The derivation is based on taking the derivatives of the Cayley–Hamilton equation. The identities generated involve multiple tensors on the n-dimensional vector space. The literature for creep-to-failure cumulative-damage laws are reviewed. Creep-to-failure tests performed on polycarbonate and polysulfone under single- and two-step loadings are discussed. A semiempirical cumulative-damage rule or modified time-fraction rule is developed, using as the starting point a power law for transient creep response. Experimental results are approximated well by the new rule. For vibration analysis of beams fully treated with active constrained layer damping (ACLD), a new approach called spectral strip-element method (SSEM) based on the spectral finite element method (SFEM) is proposed. It can avoid difficulties in solving the characteristic equation with higher orders and unknown parameters for wave numbers when using the SFEM; simultaneously, advantages of a very few elements and high accuracy of the SFEM are kept. A numerical example shows that the proposed method is very effective and reliable, compared with the exact solutions resulted from the spectral transfer matrix method (STMM).  相似文献

The oscillation property (OP) is a fundamental and important qualitative property for the vibrations of single span one-dimensional continuums such as strings, bars, torsion bars, and Euler beams. Any properly discretized continuum model should keep the OP. In literatures, the OP of discrete beam models is discussed essentially by means of matrix factorization. The discussion is model-specific and boundary-condition- specific. Besides, matrix factorization is difficult in handling finite element (FE) models of beams. In this paper, according to a sufficient condition for the OP, a new approach to discuss the property is proposed. The local criteria on discrete displacements rather than global matrix factorizations are given to verify the OP. Based on the proposed approach, known results such as the OP for the 2-node FE beams via the Heilinger- Reissener principle (HR-FE beams) as well as the 5-point finite difference (FD) beams are verified. New results on the OP for the 2-node PE-FE beams and the FE Timoshenko beams with small slenderness are given. Through a simple manipulation, the qualitative property of discrete multibearing beams can also be discussed by the proposed approach.  相似文献

Dynamic fluid–solid interactions are widely found in chemical engineering, such as in particle-laden flows, which usually contain complex moving boundaries. The immersed boundary method (IBM) is a convenient approach to handle fluid–solid interactions with complex geometries. In this work, Uhlmann's direct-forcing IBM is improved and implemented on a supercomputer with CPU–GPU hybrid architecture. The direct-forcing IBM is modified as follows: the Poisson's equation for pressure is solved before evaluation of the body force, and the force is only distributed to the Cartesian grids inside the immersed boundary. A multidirect forcing scheme is used to evaluate the body force. These modifications result in a divergence-free flow field in the fluid domain and the no-slip boundary condition at the immersed boundary simultaneously. This method is implemented in an explicit finite-difference fractional-step scheme, and validated by 2D simulations of lid-driven cavity flow, Couette flow between two concentric cylinders and flow over a circular cylinder. Finally, the method is used to simulate the sedimentation of two circular particles in a channel. The results agree very well with previous experimental and numerical data, and are more accurate than the conventional direct-forcing method, especially in the vicinity of a moving boundary.  相似文献

The trend of using floating structures with cage aquaculture is becoming more popular in the open sea. The purpose of this paper is to investigate the dynamic properties of a dual pontoon floating structure (DPFS) when attached to a fish net by using physical and numerical models. A two-dimensional (2-D) fully nonlinear numerical wave tank (NWT), based on the boundary element method (BEM), is developed to calculate the wave forces on the DPFS. The wave forces on a fish net system are then evaluated using a modified Morison equation. The comparisons of dynamic behaviors between numerical simulations and experimental measurements on the DPFS show good agreement. Results also display that a fish net system causes the resonant response of body motions and mooring forces to be slightly lower due to the net's damping effect. Finally, for designing the rearing space of cage aquaculture, the influences which net depth and net width have on the DPFS dynamic responses are also presented in this paper.  相似文献

Sensitivity analysis of composite laminated plates with bonding imperfection is carried out based on the radial point interpolation method (RPIM) in a Hamilton system. A set of hybrid governing equations of response and sensitivity quantities is reduced using the spring-layer model and the modified Hellinger-Reissner (H-R) variational principle. The analytical method (AM), the semi-analytical method (SAM), and the finite difference method (FDM) are used for sensitivity analysis based on the reduced set of hybrid governing equations. A major advantage of the hybrid governing equations is that the convolution algorithm is avoided in sensitivity analysis. In addition, sensitivity analysis using this set of hybrid governing equations can obtain response values and sensitivity coefficients simultaneously, and accounts for bonding imperfection of composite laminated plates.  相似文献
