The current paper is devoted to the investigation of asymptotic dynamics in random Kolmogorov models. Applying the theory of principal Lyapunov exponents and the principal spectrum developed in the authors previous papers together with the concept of part metric it provides conditions for the existence of a globally attracting positive random equilibrium, the existence of a globally attracting uniformly positive random equilibrium, and the extinction in random Kolmogorov models. These results are an important complement to the existing ones.  相似文献

We consider a random walk in an i.i.d. non-negative potential on the d-dimensional integer lattice. The walk starts at the origin and is conditioned to hit a remote location y on the lattice. We prove that the expected time under the annealed path measure needed by the random walk to reach y grows only linearly in the distance from y to the origin. In dimension 1 we show the existence of the asymptotic positive speed.  相似文献

We discuss the quenched tail estimates for the random walk in random scenery. The random walk is the symmetric nearest neighbor walk and the random scenery is assumed to be independent and identically distributed, non-negative, and has a power law tail. We identify the long time asymptotics of the upper deviation probability of the random walk in quenched random scenery, depending on the tail of scenery distribution and the amount of the deviation. The result is in turn applied to the tail estimates for a random walk in random conductance which has a layered structure.  相似文献

We consider the cost of general orthogonal range queries in random quadtrees. The cost of a given query is encoded into a (random) function of four variables which characterize the coordinates of two opposite corners of the query rectangle. We prove that, when suitably shifted and rescaled, the random cost function converges uniformly in probability towards a random field that is characterized as the unique solution to a distributional fixed-point equation. We also state similar results for 2-d trees. Our results imply for instance that the worst case query satisfies the same asymptotic estimates as a typical query, and thereby resolve an open question of Chanzy et al. (2001).  相似文献

Matrix orthogonal Laurent polynomials in the unit circle and the theory of Toda-like integrable systems are connected using the Gauss–Borel factorization of two, left and a right, Cantero–Morales–Velázquez block moment matrices, which are constructed using a quasi-definite matrix measure. A block Gauss–Borel factorization problem of these moment matrices leads to two sets of biorthogonal matrix orthogonal Laurent polynomials and matrix Szeg? polynomials, which can be expressed in terms of Schur complements of bordered truncations of the block moment matrix. The corresponding block extension of the Christoffel–Darboux theory is derived. Deformations of the quasi-definite matrix measure leading to integrable systems of Toda type are studied. The integrable theory is given in this matrix scenario; wave and adjoint wave functions, Lax and Zakharov–Shabat equations, bilinear equations and discrete flows — connected with Darboux transformations. We generalize the integrable flows of the Cafasso's matrix extension of the Toeplitz lattice for the Verblunsky coefficients of Szeg? polynomials. An analysis of the Miwa shifts allows for the finding of interesting connections between Christoffel–Darboux kernels and Miwa shifts of the matrix orthogonal Laurent polynomials.  相似文献

We prove CLTs for biased randomly trapped random walks in one dimension. By considering a sequence of regeneration times, we will establish an annealed invariance principle under a second moment condition on the trapping times. In the quenched setting, an environment dependent centring is necessary to achieve a central limit theorem. We determine a suitable expression for this centring. As our main motivation, we apply these results to biased walks on subcritical Galton–Watson trees conditioned to survive for a range of bias values.  相似文献

We consider random walks in dynamic random environments given by Markovian dynamics on Zd. We assume that the environment has a stationary distribution μ and satisfies the Poincaré inequality w.r.t. μ. The random walk is a perturbation of another random walk (called “unperturbed”). We assume that also the environment viewed from the unperturbed random walk has stationary distribution μ. Both perturbed and unperturbed random walks can depend heavily on the environment and are not assumed to be finite-range. We derive a law of large numbers, an averaged invariance principle for the position of the walker and a series expansion for the asymptotic speed. We also provide a condition for non-degeneracy of the diffusion, and describe in some details equilibrium and convergence properties of the environment seen by the walker. All these results are based on a more general perturbative analysis of operators that we derive in the context of L2- bounded perturbations of Markov processes by means of the so-called Dyson–Phillips expansion.  相似文献
