Mössbauer and electronic spectral characterization of homo-bimetallic Fe(III) complexes of unsymmetrical [N10] and [N12] macrocyclic ligands

The homo-bimetallic complexes of stoichiometry Fe2(L)ClO4(ClO4)2 where L are novel unsymmetrical [N10] (L1.2HClO4) and [N12] (L2.2HClO4) macrocyclic ligands, have been prepared. The ligands were obtained from an in situ capping reaction of the reactive substrate, N,N'-bis(N-ethylaniline)hydrazine-1,2-diimine with a mixture of aniline or 1,3-diaminopropane and HCHO in presence of HClO4. The compounds have been characterized by elemental analyses, conductometric, IR, FAB-mass and electronic spectral studies. IR data of complexes suggest coordination from unsymmetrical aza sites as a tridentate (N,N,N) or tetradentate (N,N,N,N) ligand. mu(eff) values of the complexes suggest presence of antiferromagnetically coupled (Fe3+-Fe3+=S5/2-S5/2) spin exchange. M?ssbauer parameters of the complexes support (+/-3/2)-->(+/-1/2) nuclear transition in high-spin configurations of Fe(III) nuclei of the homo-bimetallic complexes with the presence of Kramer's double degeneracy.     

Intramolecular Ullmann-type C−N coupling for the synthesis of substituted benzo[4,5]imidazo[1,2-a]pyrrolo[3,4-c]pyridines

An efficient CuI catalyzed intramolecular Ullmann-type C−N coupling reaction is described here. Newly substituted 1H-benzo[4,5]imidazo[1,2-a]pyrrolo[3,4-c]pyridine-1,3,5(2H, 11H)-trione has been easily synthesized from ortho halogenated N-substituted pyrrolo[3,4-c]pyridine-1,3,6(5H)-triones in presence of CuI catalyst and K₂CO₃ base without any ligand. This procedure is based on intramolecular Ullmann-type reaction and provides a proficient method of making fused tetracyclic heterocycles.     

Hydrothermal synthesis of a mixed-valence hexamolybdate cluster: crystal structure of [HN(CH2CH2)3N]2[HMoVMoVI5O19]·[N(CH2CH2)3N]

The hydrothermal reaction of MoO₃, V, Na₂WO₄· 2H₂O, [N(CH₂CH₂)₃N](1,4-diazabicyclo[2.2.2] octane), and H₂O at 160°C for 90h gave dark-brown crystals of [HN(CH₂CH₂)₃N]₂[HMo^VMo^VI ₅O¹⁹]·[N(CH₂CH₂)₃N], (1), in 40% yield. Complex (1) is the first one-electron reduced mixed-valence hexamolybdate to be crystallized and structurally characterized. The crystal structure of (1) consists of discrete [HMo^VMo^VI ₅O₁₉]^2– anions, [HN-(CH₂CH₂)₃N]⁺ cations, and neutral [N(CH₂CH₂)₃N] molecules of crystallization.     

Synthesis of Bisindolylindeno[1,2-b]quinoxaline and Bisindolylindeno[3,4-b]pyrazine with Poly(N,N′-dibromo-N-ethylnaphthyl-2,7-disulfonamide)

Poly(N,N′-dibromo-N-ethylnaphthyl-2,7-disulfonamide) (PBNS) as novel reagent was synthesized. Bisindolylindeno[1,2-b]quinoxaline and bisindolylindeno[3,4-b]pyrazine derivatives were synthesized in a simple and efficient method from the three-component condensation reaction of indole, indane-1,2,3-trione, and diamine aromatic compounds by PBNS under solvent-free conditions at 80 °C in good to excellent yields, short reaction times, and a simple procedure for new derivatives.

Thermal Behavior of N,N＇Bis[N-（2,2,2-trinitroethyl）-N-nitro]ethylenediamine

The thermal behavior and kinetic parameters of the exothermic decomposition reaction of N‐N‐bis[N‐(2,2,2‐tri‐nitroethyl)‐N‐nitro]ethylenediamine in a temperature‐programmed mode have been investigated by means of differential scanning calorimetry (DSC). The results show that kinetic model function in differential form, apparent activation energy E_a and pre‐exponential factor A of this reaction are 3(1 ‐α)^2/3, 203.67 kJ·mol^?1 and 10^20.61s^?1, respectively. The critical temperature of thermal explosion of the compound is 182.2 °C. The values of ΔS^≠ ΔH^≠ and ΔG^≠ of this reaction are 143.3 J·mol^?1·K^?1, 199.5 kJ·mol^?1 and 135.5 kJ·mol^?1, respectively.

Self－assembly of Novel Hetero[3]rotaxane, [2]Rotaxanes and [2]Catenane

One linear template 13 and one cyclophane template 15, both incorporating two electron rich 1,4‐dialkoxybenzene units and one diamide unit, have been synthesized. By utilizing donor‐acceptor interaction and/or intermolecular hydrogen bonding assembling principles, one novel hetero[3]rotazane 22·4Cl, possessing one neutral and one tetracationic ring components, has been synthesized from 13, through neutral [2]rotaxane 21 as intermediate. With 15 as template, tetracationic [2]catenane 23·4PF₆ was assembled by using donor‐acceptor interaction, but no neutral [2]rotaxane could be obtained under the typical conditions of hydrogen bonding assembling principle. The interlocked supramolecular compounds have been characterized and their spectral properties are investigated.     

Synthesis and structure of bismuth-containing complexes [Ph3PMe] 2 + [BiI5]2− and [Ph3PMe] 2 + [BiI5 · C5H5N]2− · C5H5N

The complexes [Ph₃PMe] ₂ ⁺ [BiI₅]^2? (I) and [Ph₃PMe] ₂ ⁺ [BiI₅ · C ₅H₅N]^2? · C ₅H₅N (II) were synthesized by the reaction of bismuth triiodide with triphenylmethylphosphonium iodide, and their structures were determined by X-ray diffraction analysis. The P atom in cation I has slightly distorted tetragonal coordination polyhedron (the CPC angles 109.42(4)° and 109.52(4)°, the bond lengths P-C_Ph 1.779(2), P-C_Me 1.793(1) Å. The Bi atom in the anion of complex I has an ideal trigonal-bipyramidal coordination polyhedron (Bi-I_eq 3.0031(4), Bi-I_eq 3.0485(5) Å). The crystal of complex II consists of the anions [BiI₅ · C ₅H₅N]^2?, solvated pyridine molecules, and two types of crystallographically independent tetrahedral triphenylmethylphosphonium cations (the angles CPC 106.9(1)°–111.7(1)°, the distances P-C_Ph 1.785(3)–1.792(3), P-C_Me 1.793(3), 1.786(3) Å). The Bi atoms in the anion of complex II have a distorted octahedral coordination polyhedron (Bi-I 3.0878(4)–3.1240(3), Bi-N(1) 2.628(3) Å).

Simple Analogues of Acyclonucleosides: Synthesis of N‐Substituted Pyrido[3′,2′:4,5]thieno[3,2‐d]pyrimidine Derivatives

The synthesis of N‐substituted pyridothienopyrimidines bearing ethoxymethyl, benzyloxymethyl, methylthiomethyl, benzoylmethyl, allyl, sec‐butyl, and 2‐acetyloxyethyl chains as a sugar mimic was described. The O‐substituted pyridothienopyrimidines were obtained during some reactions.     

A convenient synthesis of 2-aryl substituted benzo[f] [1,2,4]triazolo[1,5-a]azepine derivatives

A convenient synthetic pathway to 2-aryl-5,6-dihydro-4H-benzo[f][1,2,4]triazolo[1,5-α]azepine derivatives 7 was developed. The synthesis was based on the cycloaddition of the 1,2,3,4-tetrahydronaphthalene a-acetoxy azo compounds 3 with Ar-CN in the presence of AlCl3 and the consecutive ring enlargement.     

Synthesis and Stuctural Characterization of the Complex [Et4N]2[Ni（C2S

The heteroleptic dmit complex [Et4N]2[Ni2(C2S4)(C3S5)2] has been prepared by the reaction of NiCl2.H2O with Na2dmit, NaSC2H4OH in the MeOH solution. The compound has been characterized by X-ray diffraction study, IR and UV-Vis spectroscopy. Crystallographic data : space group: P21/n, a=11.843(2), b=11.079(1), c = 15.404(1)(), β=110.33(1)°, V = 1895.1()3, Z=2, Dc=1.62 g/cm3, μ=17.6 cm-1, F(000)=956, R=0.052, Rw=0.061. In the structure of the title complex, the tto (tto=tetrathioxalato) ligand in bridging form is chelated to two nickel atoms and dmit (dmit=1,3-dithiole-2-thione-4,5-dithiolate) ligands coordinated to nickel atoms.     

Novel Synthesis and Characterization of N‐Substituted‐calix[4]azacrown Derivatives

Novel calix[4]azacrown derivatives from the reaction between calix[4]amidocrown and the different N‐(4‐bromoacetamidephthalimido)alkanes derivatives, which may be useful intemediate compounds of pseudorotaxane, have been synthesized and structurally characterized by IR, ¹H NMR, ¹³C NMR, MS, and elemental analyses. From their analysis data, it was found that compounds 6a–d adopted a cone conformation.     

N/S- und As/S-verbrückte [3]- und [5]-Ferrocenophane

Zusammenfassung Es wurden neue heterocyclische Ferrocenophane isoliert. 1,1-Dilithioferrocen reagiert mit den elektronenreichen Heterocyclen S₄N₄ und As₄S₄ zu 1,3-Dithia-2-aza[3]ferrocenophan (1) bzw. 1,5-Diarsa-2,3,4-trithia[5]ferrocenophan (2). Beide Verbindungen wurden mittels¹H- und¹³C-NMR-Spektroskopie, EI-Massenspektroskopie und CV-Messungen charakterisiert. Die Hauptprodukte aller Reaktionen sind Oligomere und Polymere.

N/S- and As/S-bridged [3]- and [5]-ferrocenophanes

Summary New heterocyclic ferrocenophanes have been isolated. 1,1-Dilithioferrocene reacts with the electron rich heterocycles S₄N₄ and As₄S₄ to give 1, 3-dithia-2-aza[3]ferrocenophane (1) and 1,5-diarsa-2,3,4-trithia[5]ferrocenophane (2), respectively. Both compounds were characterized by¹H and¹³C NMR spectroscopy as well as by EI mass spectrometry and CV measurements. The main products of all reactions were oligomers and polymers.

     

New Approach to Synthesis of Tetrahydroisoquino[2,l-c] [1,3]-benzodiazepine

A concise and efficient synthesis of the new compounds tetrahydroisoquino [2,1-c] [1,3] benzodiazepine 5 and 7 is reported.     

Synthesis of N- and N,N′-coordinated derivatives of 3,7-dithia-1,5-diazabicyclo[3.3.0]octanes and their fungicidal activity

Possibility of obtaining water-soluble N- and N,N′-coordinated adducts by reacting 3,7-dithia-1,5-diazabicyclo[3.3.0]octane with methyl iodide and Brønsted (HCl, HBr) and Lewis (AlCl₃) acids was examined. The fungicidal activity of 3,7-dithia-1,5-diazabicyclo[3.3.0]octane and its water-soluble adducts with hydrobromide and methyl iodide against a number of microscopic fungi affecting cultivated plants and various materials was studied.
