A new lower bound for the number of fixed points of Hamiltonian automorphisms of closed symplectic manifolds (M,ω) is established. The new estimate extends the previously known estimates to the class of weakly monotone symplectic manifolds. We prove for arbitrary closed symplectic manifolds with rational symplectic class that the cup-length estimate holds true if the Hofer energy of the Hamiltonian automorphism is sufficiently small. For arbitrary energy and on weakly monotone symplectic manifolds we define an analogon to the cup-length based on the quantum cohomology ring of (M,ω) providing a quantum cup-length estimate. In this paper we consider a class of strongly damped nonlinear wave equations. By the transformation of unknown functions and decomposition of operators, we construct a family of approximate inertial manifolds, and obtain the estimate of orders of approximation of such manifolds to solution orbits.  相似文献

In Cabré (1997) [2], Cabré established an Alexandroff–Bakelman–Pucci (ABP) estimate on Riemannian manifolds with non-negative sectional curvatures and applied it to establish the Krylov–Safonov Harnack inequality on manifolds with non-negative sectional curvatures. In the present paper, we generalize the results of [2]. We obtain an ABP estimate on manifolds with Ricci curvatures bounded from below and apply this estimate to prove the Krylov–Safonov Harnack inequality on manifolds with sectional curvatures bounded from below. We also use this ABP estimate to study Minkowski-type inequalities.  相似文献

This paper gives a detailed analysis of the Cannon–Thurston maps associated to a general class of hyperbolic free group extensions. Let F denote a free group of finite rank at least 3 and consider a convex cocompact subgroup Γ ≤ Out(F), i.e. one for which the orbit map from Γ into the free factor complex of F is a quasi-isometric embedding. The subgroup Γ determines an extension EΓ of F, and the main theorem of Dowdall–Taylor [DT14] states that in this situation EΓ is hyperbolic if and only if Γ is purely atoroidal.  相似文献

We study a class of fully nonlinear elliptic equations on closed Hermitian manifolds. Under the assumption of the cone condition, we derive the L estimate directly. As an application, we solve the complex quotient equations on closed Kähler manifolds. © 2016 Wiley Periodicals, Inc.  相似文献

The problem is as follows: How to describe graphically the set T(1)(Γ) where $T(1)(z) = \int_\Gamma {\tfrac{{d\mu (\zeta )}} {{\zeta - z}}} $ and Γ = Γθ is the Von Koch curve, θ ∈ (0, π/4)? In this paper we give some expression permitting us to compute T θ(1)(z) for each z ∈ Γ to within an arbitrary ? > 0. Also we provide an estimate for the error.  相似文献

A Hilbert transform for H?lder continuous circulant (2 × 2) matrix functions, on the d-summable (or fractal) boundary Γ of a Jordan domain Ω in ?2n , has recently been introduced within the framework of Hermitean Clifford analysis. The main goal of the present paper is to estimate the H?lder norm of this Hermitean Hilbert transform. The expression for the upper bound of this norm is given in terms of the H?lder exponents, the diameter of Γ and a specific d-sum (d > d) of the Whitney decomposition of Ω. The result is shown to include the case of a more standard Hilbert transform for domains with left Ahlfors-David regular boundary.  相似文献

Let Γ be a torsion-free hyperbolic group. We study Γ-limit groups which, unlike the fundamental case in which Γ is free, may not be finitely presentable or geometrically tractable. We define model Γ-limit groups, which always have good geometric properties (in particular, they are always relatively hyperbolic). Given a strict resolution of an arbitrary Γ-limit group L, we canonically construct a strict resolution of a model Γ-limit group, which encodes all homomorphisms L → Γ that factor through the given resolution. We propose this as the correct framework in which to study Γ-limit groups algorithmically. We enumerate all Γ-limit groups in this framework.  相似文献

In my talk, I will present some works done in the nineties on Laplacians on graphs: from eigenvalue problems to inverse problem for resistor networks. I will focus on the motivations and the main results as well as on the main ideas:
  • •A differential topology point of view on the minor relation: a nice stratification associated to a finite graph Γ whose strata are associated to the minors of Γ
  • •“Discrete” (graphs) versus “continuous” (Riemannian manifolds)
  • •Stability of spectra with respect to singular limits: a finite dimensional theory of operators with domains (Von Neumann theory).
The link with topology will appear in some results about my graph parameter μ, in particular the planarity and the linkless embedding properties.  相似文献

Let G be a connected reductive affine algebraic group. In this short note we define the variety of G-characters of a finitely generated group Γ and show that the quotient of the G-character variety of Γ by the action of the trace preserving outer automorphisms of G normalizes the variety of G-characters when Γ is a free group, free abelian group, or a surface group.  相似文献

We study compact complex manifolds bimeromorphic to locally conformally Kähler (LCK) manifolds. This is an analogy of studying a compact complex manifold bimeromorphic to a Kähler manifold. We give a negative answer for a question of Ornea, Verbitsky, Vuletescu by showing that there exists no LCK current on blow ups along a submanifold (dim \(\ge 1\)) of Vaisman manifolds. We show that a compact complex manifold with LCK currents satisfying a certain condition can be modified to an LCK manifold. Based on this fact, we define a compact complex manifold with a modification from an LCK manifold as a locally conformally class C (LC class C) manifold. We give examples of LC class C manifolds that are not LCK manifolds. Finally, we show that all LC class C manifolds are locally conformally balanced manifolds.  相似文献

Let Γ < GL n (F) be a countable non-amenable linear group with a simple, center free Zariski closure. Let Sub(Γ) denote the space of all subgroups of Γ with the compact, metric, Chabauty topology. An invariant random subgroup (IRS) of Γ is a conjugation invariant Borel probability measure on Sub(Γ). An IRS is called non-trivial if it does not have an atom in the trivial group, i.e. if it is non-trivial almost surely. We denote by IRS0(Γ) the collection of all non-trivial IRS on Γ.
Theorem 0.1: With the above notation, there exists a free subgroup F < Γ and a non-discrete group topology on Γ such that for every μ ∈ IRS0(Γ) the following properties hold:

μ-almost every subgroup of Γ is open

  • F ·Δ = Γ for μ-almost every Δ ∈ Sub(Γ).
  • F ∩ Δ is infinitely generated, for every open subgroup. In particular, this holds for μ-almost every Δ ∈ Sub(Γ).
  • The map
Φ: (Sub(Γ), μ) → (Sub(F),Φ*μ) Δ → Δ ∩ F is an F-invariant isomorphism of probability spaces.A more technical version of this theorem is valid for general countable linear groups. We say that an action of Γ on a probability space, by measure preserving transformations, is almost surely non-free (ASNF) if almost all point stabilizers are non-trivial.Corollary 0.2: Let Γ be as in the Theorem above. Then the product of finitely many ASNF Γ-spaces, with the diagonal Γ action, is ASNF.Corollary 0.3: Let Γ < GLn(F) be a countable linear group, A Δ Γ the maximal normal amenable subgroup of Γ — its amenable radical. If μ ∈ IRS(Γ) is supported on amenable subgroups of Γ, then in fact it is supported on Sub(A). In particular, if A(Γ) = <e> then Δ = <e>, μ almost surely.  相似文献

Given ${\Gamma \subset \mathbb{Q}^*}$ a multiplicative subgroup and ${m \in \mathbb{N}^+}$ , assuming the Generalized Riemann Hypothesis, we determine an asymptotic formula for the number of primes p ≤ x for which ind p Γ = m, where ind p Γ = (p ? 1)/|Γ p | and Γ p is the reduction of Γ modulo p. This problem is a generalization of some earlier works by Cangelmi–Pappalardi, Lenstra, Moree, Murata, Wagstaff, and probably others. We prove, on GRH, that the primes with this property have a density and, in the case when Γ contains only positive numbers, we give an explicit expression for it in terms of an Euler product. We conclude with some numerical computations.  相似文献

Let Γ be an arithmetic group of affine automorphisms of the n-dimensional future tube T. It is proved that the quotient space T/Γ is smooth at infinity if and only if the group Γ is generated by reflections and the fundamental polyhedral cone (“Weyl chamber”) of the group dΓ in the future cone is a simplicial cone (which is possible only for n ≤ 10). As a consequence of this result, a smoothness criterion for the Satake–Baily–Borel compactification of an arithmetic quotient of a symmetric domain of type IV is obtained.  相似文献

For a rank one Lie group G and a Zariski dense and geometrically finite subgroup \({\Gamma}\) of G, we establish the joint equidistribution of closed geodesics and their holonomy classes for the associated locally symmetric space. Our result is given in a quantitative form for geometrically finite real hyperbolic manifolds whose critical exponents are big enough. In the case when \({G={\rm PSL}_2 (\mathbb{C})}\) , our results imply the equidistribution of eigenvalues of elements of Γ in the complex plane. When \({\Gamma}\) is a lattice, the equidistribution of holonomies was proved by Sarnak and Wakayama in 1999 using the Selberg trace formula.  相似文献

In this paper we discuss the concept ‘generalized exponential dichotomy’ and give the existence ofC k invariant manifolds for abstract nonautonomous differential equations in Banach or Hilbert spaces. Also we give a classification of invariant manifolds and an estimate of the locality radius of invariant manifolds.  相似文献
